People on Twitter (who are not usually very smart, so I shouldn’t be surprised) are so upset because they keep saying “poor Louis” “poor family” that they can no longer post photos of A MINOR on the internet, when the real problem is that to begin with they should NEVER show the child. Because we know that the only reason why the kid and the image of Louis as a father is SO loud on the internet all these years, is because of the effort to prove that he is actually a father, because you don’t see Zayn, Gigi, or Liam, Cheryl, and even Gemma styles trying to demonstrate something by publicly showing those children whose face we have NEVER seen. But Freddie on the contrary and Louis being a dad, from the beginning and until now it’s the same incessant shit to prove something. And now they want to cover her face, well it’s a little late for that dear, like 8 years late.

There is a deep rooted bitterness underneath Claudia’s immediately infamous “two blood fat cocks slapping hands” line. After having spent more than a cumulative decade of her life searching for another vampire and being met with nothing but silence or pain, Claudia was welcomed by more than a dozen in one night, only to then be told by Louis that she should not see them again. It must reignite the resentment Claudia felt towards Louis’ open pessimism and misery while they travelled through Eastern Europe. The purposeful crudeness of the line, a sudden sour note after her teasing Louis’ fear “of your own lust”, suggests her frustration at being unable to fulfil her sexual desires. The disagreement the pair have in this scene about the significance of Lestat’s portrait reflects the larger rift in their relationship over Louis’ unwillingness to move past Lestat (“He's a hundred-and-something-year-old painting in a frame.” “They got a fսcking shrine to him!”). Claudia’s life was forcibly shaped time and time again to better serve Louis and Lestat’s love for each other; turned into a vampire so that they could repair their relationship, intimidated and hurt when she encouraged Louis to leave Lestat, made prisoner by Lestat ostensibly for Louis’ welfare, and now the memory of that relationship threatens her newfound kinship. It is galling enough that her long awaited introduction to a vampire community comes as an afterthought tacked onto Louis’ hand delivered invitation (“Come. And bring the petite beauty with you.”, “Monsieur de Pointe du Lac. Our finest seats.”), but the realisation that even that was determined by another man’s attraction to Louis has to be beyond infuriating.

I adore my children very much and I’ve learnt a lot about myself and about family just from having my own children.
Fatherhood has given me a new sense of purpose. Now I’ve got George, Charlotte and now Louis, in my life, your outlook does change.
—The Prince of Wales.

But fr tho he'd probably be pretty solid at cooking. Like at the very least because he'd have foods he's very particular with that he just decides to learn how to make it himself

imagine getting woken up or interrupted while painting or whatever by your now-ex son-in-law who called you a groomer blasting his location and security information over the vampire internet, and you can't even take part in the ensuring bloodbath because your cranky new grandson has just published a book outing your vampirism to the world so it's more important than ever that you and your evil stone grandparents continue laying low. also your son/ex-boywife is single again and not even in a cult anymore but he's dropped off the face of the earth so good fucking luck getting any of that action. and then on top of all that this one asshole you took home once and showed your stuff in the 1800s out of pity/loneliness/an ill-conceived desire to smash is now a rockstar planning a documentary which will casually expose you as alive, well, and in possession of two vampire-shaped nuclear warheads, all because he wants to get back together with his True Love (his True Love being your ex-son-in-law who called you a groomer). Marius de Romanus is having a Time.

It's crazy that no one told me that David painted Andromache Mourning Hector
Tumblr media
Resting against the bed Hector's body lies on, are his helmet, sword and belt. Under his feet you see, craved in the wooden frame, a battle scene. On his hair lays the laurel crown of victories. Even in death, Hector shall not escape war.
Look at Astyanax, reaching for his mother's chest, asking for her tender affection, but she's not looking at him. She's looking up, as she points to Hector's body. She asks the gods above "why did you have to do that to him ? Has he not served you well enough?"
And then there's Hector. He doesn't look like a corpse that has been dragged on the ground for days, actually, he barely looks dead at all. The wound on his clavicle is clean from any blood, his skin isn't any whiter than Andromache's, and his expression doesn't show any pain or fear (he looks resigned, that's all.)
Hector, the prince, the warrior, lays in a perfect athletic shape next to his gear. He looks like he's ready to get up and head back to the battlefield anytime now.
Because of her clothing and the lighting, Andromache stands out from the darkness of the scene. The painting tells you don't look at Hector, the symbol of the Trojan war, looks at her, the powerless mother and wife. It's her tragedy before anyone else's.
