Drabble

A Knight in Shining Armor is a Knight who never Fought + Kill You to Save the World or Destroy the World to Save You?

A little random, no smut, more flow of consciousness

You once had a childhood sweetheart. They had given you food when you had none, protected you from bullied and even bought you warm clothes for the winter. Your dark world was illuminated by them, warmed by them.

They always saved the day like a knight in shining armor, so it was natural for you to fall for them. As such, you were very happy to be proposed to by them, and very heartbroken when they were called away to fulfill their duty in the war.

And when they came back, decked in glory and shining armor, and you learned that they were the hero destined to save the world, you thought it was very fitting.

You were elated to have them back, thinking you could finally marry them.

But then you were informed that, to truly save the world, they had to kill you.

They started apologizing when they saw your shocked expression, but gradually things escalated and they were clutching at your throat, screaming they should have never fallen for you and orchestrated all those situations just to be able to pretend to be your hero, should have just let you die that cold winter’s day.

They wanted to be the hero who saved the world.

And if they had to kill you for it, they would.

You lay on the floor coughing and lightheaded. You saw his clean sword gleam in the light of the sunset, and his pristine armor was dyed crimson by your blood. You wondered what you had ever done wrong that warranted killing you.

And as the blood was leaving your gradually cooling body, a heavy thump suddenly sounded. The next moment, the noise of a magic circle charging up enveloped you and before you could register what was happening the entire house was blown away as if torn off the earth by an enormous hand.

You could hear something clatter and the hero shrieking like a dying pig. Then, a warm cloak was draped over your body and a large hand carefully scooped you up, holding you against a soft surface with a steady, reassuring rhythm akin to a heartbeat. Finally, you heard a cold, deep, and gentle voice speak to you.

“I am late. Please forgive me for letting you suffer for so long, my dove. Rest now. Once you wake, I shall explain everything. Until then, allow me to protect you one last time.”

I'm so in love with how they ended full circle on the give and receive angle for Kawi and Pisaeng. They click and work when the balance is achieved, when one stumbles and the other is there to pick up the slack. Because their strength is borrowed from each other, their love is nurtured in each other and nothing can be more right than them being together.

Heyyy! I just joined, so I thought I might (attempt) to introduce myself :)

My name is Liz, and I'd also like to try going by Ezra. I'm a minor. I'm non-binary, queer (I like girls), and demi-romantic asexual (but honestly questioning being oriented aroace). I go by they/them pronouns. I have diagnosed ADHD and Anxiety. My current fave songs are 'All In My Head' by The Linda Lindas and 'Jocelyn' by The Beaches.

I have a girlfriend, and we're both sort of out? I'm out to my parents, but she's only out to her mom. Neither of us are going out of our way to stay closeted at school, but some of the other students aren't the most open minded about gay ppl so we definitely aren't really intentionally showing it either.

My hobbies/interests include drawing, band, piano, singing, learning the guitar, songwriting, good omens, playing Minecraft, making bracelets, playing dnd, listening to music, making OCs, acting, and probably more that I'm going to remember after I post this.

So yeah that's probably a ton of shit and makes no sense but there's my shit show of an introduction

Hilarious au where everything is the same except Tanzy, Oboro, Ori, Trousseau, and Kaldena caught on to the Moonshade Order's bullshit early and kind of try to stop the world from ending but they all realized it separately and now are all just lying to each other about being okay with ending the world. Or in Tanzy's case she's definitely okay with the power imbalance that she is starting to see with Arcanette and her's relationship.

"God everyone in this group wants to end the world. Thank god I'm normal." <== All of them at every single second of the day.

Fucking imagine the fucking Traveler's reactions every time they find out that some guy was a part of the Moonshade Order and is trying to stop that. Imagine that. That would be so funny. They're all sabotaging each other and getting nothing and everything done.

(Oh and in this au Trousseau is still with the Eir's Apothecaries. He just had a long cry with the group after he was halfway of making the poison and he did the logical thing and faked the entire murder of Healeaks. Because that's smart.)
