#elden ring#miquella the unalloyed#promised consort radahn#I’ve been thinking about how despite all the talk of age of compassion… Miquella’s first spell as a god is an offensive incantation#with a wide af damage radius 💀💀💀#meanwhile Marika who built her age upon violence… her spells are all healing and defense buffs#and her first spell as a God is a little tree that heals a wide area#she was still trying to heal her ppl to the bitter end AND gunning for revenge. there’s a kind of heartbreaking honesty to it#the cruel irony in the DLC story is crazy#really show how badly Miq had strayed from his original path after forsaking Trina#then that meme pops in my head ajshsjhsjhs#now i do think the vow is two-way btw Radahn just got cold feet near the end#the only thing i dont like about the DLC is i cant draw jokes without explaining I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS i think their actions are valid !!#like having to pull up a whole lore presentation slide for this#yes i think it's funny as hell that Miq did show Radahn why he should not fuck around and find out

#I watched it today it was so good#im not big on dinosaur stuff but i like how it was used to approach the predator/prey conversation especially when both sides are sentient#instead of just defaulting to well since predators are meat eaters their actions are automatically immoral so their role in the story#has to match. and then when your characters /are/ meat eaters you just step around that whole topic#heart knows he has to kill and eat so there’s no avoiding it but even he knows he has agency over that#hell he even decided to hunt by himself so umasou doesn’t have to see him kill and eat another dinosaur a day after meeting him#and maybe its because it’s a kids movie but it also doesn’t make a big show over the act of hunting and eating. it doesn’t dwell on it#like yes you can clearly see them ripping into guts minus the graphic details but it doesnt go out of its way to censor it either#its played straight just like hearts mom having more kids like nobody asks who the father is or when that happened cuz it doesn’t matter#what matters is she still loves heart and encourages her kids to greet their big brother and they do!!! it’s sweet#Beckon was also an interesting touch bc they make it clear the only reason he doesnt eat umasou is bc he cant and not that he wouldn’t#but he’s still a funny and interesting character and that doesn’t get in the way of how we see him too much#same for baku he was pretty polite with heart esp from the start when he asks him if hes abandoned implying he would be prepared to#look out for him from the start. and at the end when he decides to spare him. I dont hate him at all hes just intimidating#you are umasou#doodles#I wanted to draw smth more detailed but I couldn’t decide if I wanted to go with the cartoony art style#or smth closer to realistic?? so this is like. some sort of compromise I guess

#genuinely vote peri#i've not seen all of her stories but my god from what i've seen the 80s writers hated her#there are some stories where she'd probably be better off dead#she seems to be in a constant living torturous hell with 6 being constantly nasty too her#this poor woman#okay specific example#her first trip after her introduction (recounted from memory so some details my be wrong)#she and the doctor unknowingly touch a poisonous plant which will kill them slowly and painfully (but fast enough she almost dies by the en#so great they need to find a cure#which is horrendously difficult to find in the best of circumstances#but these aren't the best of circumstances#they get taken hostage pretty quickly and very nearly get executed by firing squad#they get rescued by one of the most unnerving villains i think in the entire show#he creeps on peri constantly#like he gets as close to assaulting her as its possible to depict on tea time telly#and peri can't do anything about it#her life is entirely in this guys hands#like most of the time i find caves of androzani the be so hyperviolent as to be funny#but jesus christ the shit they put peri through in it#anyway by the end she's so ill the doctor has to drag her near lifeless body back to the tardis#gives her the cure and then promptly regenerates#and now peri's nice friendly doctor is uhh tv 6#bad times: quarters

#funny story actually#in 4th grade my best friend was an OBSESSIVE reader she would read all day every day like her life depended on it#so to get her a birthday gift my mom took me to borders (who remember borders?!) and I got her a copy of mbs#I had no idea what it was but it seemed like something she'd like and more importantly it was THICK AS HELL for a childrens book#so i was like yeahhhh this'll be something she can sink her teeth into#so I give it to her at her birthday party on friday or saturday and then i see her at school again monday morning#and she says “btw I finished that book you gave me” and was like. GIRL WHAT THE HELL#and then she spoiled the ending to me for no reason and i was confused but that intrigued me enough to read it myself#idk i love that memory its so funny to me

#period clothing + modern items never fails to make me laugh#stalag bucky and gale enjoying some starbucks is iconic FRRR#masters of the air#bucky egan#gale cleven#I need an AU where they take the tunnel in the stalag but it’s actually a wormhole to modern day#and they stumble out into the set of MoTA#and everyone is like Wow they are really staying in character#meanwhile they are desperately trying to figure out where the hell they are and why the B-17’s won’t start up#bonus points for agony when bucky and gale slowly realize that by swapping places with two actors named callum and austin#they’ve basically left two guys in the stalag who don’t have the skills to survive in there#and when barry makes references to funny stories that never happened with Bucky he realized that it’s not his life to live#and that he needs to give his place back to callum#and so despite making it out of the stalag Bucky and Gale agree to go back#sacrificing their freedom so that two strangers they’ve never met (callum and austin) can have their lives back#and holding hands they head back into hell
