Also, imagine what a twist it would be if Barbatos actually was an alternate universe iteration of Kirk. Strange direction, but it kinda tracks! Honestly, if this was Marvel, I would say that Kirk is a Bat Totem. But this isn't Marvel, this is DC :p so Kirk is Just Like That for reasons unknown!!! Though I did read that apparently Kirk is connected to the Red and draws power from it...? Is the Red doing this to him for unknown reasons...? It wouldn't exactly be surprising y'know. :p Just... Manbat | aka Kirk Langstrom 🦇 🧪🧬

Halfway through the series now! Today we’ve got Kirk Langstrom the Manbat: the zoologist who tried splicing bat and human DNA to cure deafness, only to get a nasty side effect. I’ve designed Manbat in the past and pretty much stuck with it for this round. This time I paid more attention to his face to make him more rodent like, and drew inspo from little brown bats/vampire bats for his color scheme as they’re the species with the best range of hearing.
