His name is Michael Mcgruder the eldest brother out of the 4 rimster family. Raphette clearly being the youngest.

According to him, this isn’t the novel’s Michael. He’s 17, the twins are 16, and Raph is 10.

Besides the fact that he’s the eldest brother, but the most leading type.

The kids without them, might go bonkers. Raphette lose all hopes and dreams, James’ “evil” plans might be a success, and Bex…you know him.

Connecting with the original RD crew, he resembles Rimmer.

Fun facts:

He has a love for cooking. Mainly pastry work.

His handwritten is visible clear cursive.

6’2.5 feet tall.

Likes alternative or grunge rock, but when he meets Rimmer, He’ll admit classical rock. Which is a lie.

Everyone has a different accent, for Michael is clear British, similar to Raph, which was clear(ish…) American.

He can sing really well. He writes music incase he have too use his talents.

To piss off rimmer, he explicitly admires Artemis Yearly (fictional character in their world.)

Huh, I think I read somewhere that Rimmer had a kid in one of the books, but I haven't gotten to Last Human yet.

Despite my exclamation to the contrary when this guy showed up on screen, this is not, in fact, Dr. Crane. These are from the 1994 Italian movie Cemetery Man, featuring Clive Riche as that redhead doctor you see trying to convince the protagonist not to let him do surgery on him.

I am slowly figuring out how to draw Kryten. Since he acts like Lister's self-appointed mum, it's only fair that the boys start calling him Nan. Doesn't matter that it started with a joke Rimmer made, he loves it. Rimmer spends a lot more time with the boys post-Legion. He still feels weird about it, but he likes the company more than he'll admit. Lister loves how much they hang off him. He loves having them around the ship.

I don't have much by way of big work accomplishments, but I will gladly put "teaching a trans boy how to tie a tie" and "repeatedly teaching kids to make weapons" in that column.

The last couple weeks have been busy as hell, but at least the boys get a beach break (except for Rimmer).

Lister is a more forgiving man than I am because I still think Rimmer deserves an ass-kicking for cutting off his locs in Bodyswap. Dude, do you have any idea how long those take to grow?! His were really uniform too, so I assume they were getting regular maintenance.

I know Cat's hair is usually straightened, but I like the idea of him helping Lister out with his hair. If nothing else, he got the shaved sides in Series 5 somehow. Most of the people I know who wear locs regularly seem to start with double strand twists, so I tried drawing him with those up top. Unfortunately, I still don't know how to draw hairlines well. Sorry Lister.

I've been thinking about what might have happened if the roles in Parallels Universe had been reversed. Deb and Dave both see future echoes of themselves with twins in the Smegazine comics, so I think it could have happened. In this case, Deb Lister gives birth to twin girls, Jan and Becky, who start aging quickly and have to be taken to their dad's universe instead. I don't know if are would have still had a kid with Ace in this case. Who knows? She would figure out a way to visit at least.

Dave is surprised and woefully unprepared, but he adores them. Rimmer takes a much longer time to warm up to them, but he gets there. He gets along a bit better with Jan, who develops an interest in machines, but he still models ties for Becky and let'ls her paint his nails. He never passes his astronavs, but he helps Jan study to get her engineering certification. Becky's favorite person in the universe is the Cat. Unlike Jan, she doesn't mind being used as a clothing model, but she demands suits instead of dresses from age 8 onward. If she had a vision board, Janelle Monae and Amber Ruffin would take up most of it. She's a very skilled tailor and jewelry maker.

I attempted to draw Nirvanah from memory? Could have been worse I. like to think she was tired of fighting to maintain her place on the holowhip, being so low on the ladder there. Maybe that's why she reached out to Rimmer. I think she, Rimmer, and Kochanski have a fair bit on common that would be work exploring. Also, I like that Kochanski and Rimmer both had teddy bears. It's cute.

It's that magical time of year when my workplace A/C breaks down. I don't quite like how the first sketch turned out, but I'm trying to finish every page I put in this new sketchbook.

As adorable as I find the High crew, I still find it odd that High Cat's mode of creative and intellectual fulfillment didn't include sewing. I know it was a dog at Cat's vanity in part, but he does find fashion creatively fulfilling. Also, Lister has been banned from producing scarves, hats, and potholders since quarantine.

Arnold is lying face up on a bed. Jim is groaning in bed next to Arnold with a bit of chocolate staining his face. Bexley is dressed like the Cat in a white zebra-print outfit, lying asleep on top of Rimmer with a partially eaten chocolate bar in his hand. Lisa is lying on Rimmer's shoulder in a cat-eat onesie, whacking him in the face with her hand. Dave calls to him from off screen while Arnold gives a thumbs up.

DAVE LISTER: You good, Arn?

LISA: Bah!

JIM: Hyurk!

Jim and Bexley Lister stand next to each other in costume. Jim is dressed in a homemade shutter costume over a sweatsuit. He sticks his tongue out at his brother, who is dressed in a version of Cat's black and white zebra print suit. Bexley laughs hysterically.

RIP to all my careful ballpoint pen shading that was murdered by the scanner. The Red Dwarf crew has their work cut out for them attempting to give the kids a normal-ish childhood. Trick or treating is more of a three day scavenger hunt than it used to be, but they manage. Rimmer's attempts at schooling are not the most effective. Kryten is more patient and generally better at not getting into arguments with eight-year olds. Also Deb still gets to spend ample time with her kids because I say so.
