The truth about people "using" you is that it can happen to anyone, at any point in life, and it often stems from an imbalance in a relationship where one person takes more than they give, often with little regard for your feelings or needs. While not always malicious, it can leave you feeling drained, undervalued, and emotionally manipulated.

step 2: move your body (15 minutes): stretch, dance, or go for a walk to shake off mental cobwebs.
step 3: hydrate and snack (10 minutes): grab water and a nourishing snack to refuel.
step 4: brain dump (15 minutes): write down everything on your mind (to-dos, worries, ideas) and organize it into priorities.
step 5: do one productive task (10 minutes): pick a small, achievable task and get it done. finishing something boosts confidence and momentum.

Celebrating Mabon with Thoughtful Reflection
Mabon, the Autumn Equinox, is a time of balance and gratitude. As the days begin to shorten and the nights grow longer, it's an ideal period for introspection and personal growth. Thinking deeply during Mabon is essential because it helps us align with the natural cycles of the earth and find equilibrium in our own lives.
Why It's Important to Reflect During Mabon
Every year as Mabon approaches, I feel a deep sense of calm wash over me. It's the perfect time to pause and reflect on the year so far. The crisp fall air and changing leaves provide a serene backdrop for this contemplative practice.
Reflecting during Mabon allows us to evaluate our harvest, both literal and metaphorical. What have we achieved? What have we learned? This process can be deeply nourishing for the soul, offering clarity and a sense of accomplishment as we prepare for the colder months ahead.
How Journal Prompts Can Help
I used to struggle with finding a starting point for my reflections. That's when I discovered the magic of journal prompts. These simple yet profound questions can guide our thoughts and help us delve deeper into our experiences.
For example, one year I used the prompt, "What are the seeds I planted earlier this year, and how have they grown?" It led me to realize how much progress I had made in my personal relationships. Another time, a prompt about letting go helped me acknowledge the habits I needed to shed to move forward.
Personal Stories and Examples
One autumn, I wrote about my feelings of gratitude for my close-knit group of friends. This reflection made me more intentional about expressing my appreciation to them. It strengthened our bonds and made me realize how much support I had around me.
Another time, a prompt about forgiveness helped me confront some lingering resentments. Writing about these emotions allowed me to process and release them. It was like a weight was lifted, and I felt a renewed sense of peace and readiness to embrace the upcoming challenges.
Creating Your Own Practice
Using journal prompts tailored to Mabon can enrich your reflective practice. Whether you're grateful for your personal harvest or contemplating the changes you'd like to see in your life, journaling provides a safe space to explore these thoughts.
If you've never tried using journal prompts before, I encourage you to start this Mabon. It can be a transformative experience, grounding you in gratitude and preparing you for the transitions ahead.
Happy journaling!

Healing Your Wounds: Health, Relationships, Money, and the Messy Stuff in Between
Let’s be real—life can feel like a never-ending episode of a reality show where we’re the main character, trying to juggle health, relationships, money, and whatever other chaos the universe throws our way. And sometimes, it’s less "thriving wellness guru" and more "why is my bank account allergic to money?" or "why do I always date emotionally unavailable people?"
But here’s the thing: Healing our wounds around these issues isn’t just about feeling better in the moment—it’s about creating lasting freedom, joy, and abundance in our lives. When we don’t heal, we repeat the same patterns, like a bad sequel that no one asked for.
Why Healing Is So Important
Health Wounds: Maybe you've struggled with chronic illness, body image issues, or feeling like your body has betrayed you. Healing helps you move from fighting your body to working with it.
Relationship Wounds: If you keep picking the same toxic partners or find yourself people-pleasing into exhaustion, it's time to heal those wounds and start choosing relationships that actually nourish you.
Money Wounds: If the thought of looking at your bank account makes you break out in hives, you might have some deep-seated beliefs about money being evil, hard to earn, or only for other people.
Self-Worth Wounds: Spoiler alert—every single one of the issues above ties back to how we see ourselves. When we heal our wounds, we stop self-sabotaging and start believing that we deserve health, love, wealth, and happiness.
How to Start the Healing Process
Get Honest: No sugarcoating. What’s the root issue? Are you afraid of success? Do you believe you’re unworthy of love? Are you still holding onto a childhood belief that money is the root of all evil? Be real with yourself.
Forgive Yourself: We all have a past version of ourselves who made questionable choices. Love that version of you, but don’t let them drive the bus anymore.
Change the Narrative: Just because your past has been one way doesn’t mean your future has to be. You get to rewrite your story.
Take Small Steps: Healing isn’t an overnight glow-up. Start with small, daily actions—setting boundaries, practicing self-care, learning about finances, or simply saying no without guilt.
Celebrate the Wins: Even the tiniest progress deserves a victory dance. Give yourself credit for the work you’re doing!
Loving and Forgiving Yourself = Freedom
Self-love and forgiveness don’t mean ignoring your mistakes—they mean freeing yourself from them. Holding onto guilt, shame, and resentment is like carrying around a suitcase full of bricks. You can put it down. The moment you do, you’ll feel lighter, freer, and way more ready to embrace the good things life has in store for you.
Journal Prompts to Work Through Your Wounds
What’s a recurring struggle in my life, and what belief might be keeping it in place?
How have I been unkind to myself, and how can I practice more self-love?
What’s one thing I’m ready to release (a habit, belief, or relationship) to step into my best self?
If I truly believed I was worthy of health, love, and wealth, how would I act differently?
What’s one small action I can take today toward my healing?
Affirmations to Keep You Going
I am worthy of love, health, and abundance.
I release the past and embrace my healing journey with love and patience.
My mistakes do not define me—I am always growing and evolving.
I choose to see myself with love, kindness, and forgiveness.
Healing is a journey, and I am allowed to take it at my own pace.
Final Thought: Healing isn’t about fixing yourself—you were never broken to begin with. It’s about removing what’s blocking your light and letting yourself shine. And if you need help along the way, I’m here. Let’s talk.
