So, I'm probs not gonna do anything too special for the anniversary this year. I just didn't plan for it.
But, I did recently make this sketch for a personal project I'm working on. Will I finish it? Who knows. Y'all should know better than to expect me to finish anything I start.
#gbunny draws#nsr#no straight roads#tbh it's not a project i'm too excited about anyway#i pretty much started it just because i could#i still need to use up all the yarn i got for the doll projects a while back#and y'all know (or should know) that I HATE brushing out the yarn to make wefts#i just don't have an easy way to do it#i tie the yarn to a clothes hanger and brush it out from there#but it's not as easy as it could be because the hanger is made from wire#so when i pull on it it gets bent out of shape#it's just very awkward#and it's a lot of work for such little product#it makes a mess. i don't have a good surface area for gluing them down so even if I brush out everything I need for the project#i still have to make the actual wefts in batches#i hate it so much#and yet. i chose to make another project with them because i felt it necessary#i's just gonna look better if it's fluffy

not to be annoying or anything but it's been 9 years since the release of indie game undertale
#It's. One of my special interests#Like I have identifying Mediterranean animals on sight and I have memorizing every line of dialog in undertale#Those are my things. And I did recognize a seagul once by the sound while jetlagged and not paying attention so#Tbh I should probably play the game sometime. But also it'd be very funny to not play it#And then one day just like. Idk. Live stream playing undertale for the first time. But doing it w a blindfold#Check how far my knowledge spans for a person who has never once played the game#Like. I know muffets attacks are a repeating pattern. I know some attacks have audio so I'd use that as a guide#I'd go easy route on toriel and papyrus bc I know you can skip those by being bad at game#And I'm pretty sure I could memorize mad dummy patterns bc I remember there being like. A trick in the code#For if you're bad at the fight#Also you get astro food right before so I'd have good healing#So. Yeah the undyne and asgore and omega flowey fights are really the only things I have to watch out for I think??#Esp since I'm gonna do a bunch of tricks to get out of certain fights#Like. The thing with doing armor switches rapidly on mettaton for fast ratings boosts#Or the lowering of hp on mad dummy after the first hit so the fight can't last beyond a set number of turns if you're shit at it#Tbh yeah undyne is the only one that's actually scary all the way until asgore. That said I also think you can like. Skip that bit entirely#Like by backtracking before new home to get the undyne letter and doing true lab first. I think#Because that's the bit that's the true pacifist thing to do. Which actually true lab also scary#Like ok snowys mom and endogeny are easy but lemon bread and the memory heads are actually hard esp if u cant see#Also reaper bird but only after the everyman gets ate by the whimsun attack flies so I'm not super duper scared#And. I plan on temmie armor after mettaton. And bandage until then for running away from encounters#Just straight up my first time playing the game will be with a blindfold on and livestreamed#(I'd flex especially in that one echo flower room where if you kill toriel flowey taunts you with it)#But until then! Happy 9 years of being extremely neurodivergent :D

Opinion on the idea of role-swap AU where everyone only swaps one random trait per pair? (like say, Audrey is the one who stayed in Paris while Andre dipped but its still very much regular Audrey. Or Shoto going to Aldera instead of Katsuki)
Honestly we have plenty of AU ideas that stem from 'character A does something different/Character A and B swap roles'.
#actually that *shoto at Aldera* one is driving me insane#because while it would never happen because (as the next Road to Hell chapter shows) Enji is not touching that district with a ten foot pol#it would fix so many problems#shoto befriends Izuku half out of genuine Izuku and the power of friendship and half because he thinks it'll spite his dad#shoto is confused because enji doesn't care about Izuku's lack of Quirk and is just answering every one of Izuku's rapidfire questions#(because enji's focus on the family's quirks was for a specific purpose not some prejudiced bullshit)#(izuku being an All Might fan might annoy him but Enji gets why the population likes All Might so he's not too bothered)#Either Shoto decides to use this for good and/or Fuyumi is doing some TA shit and finds out about the bullying#and they go *hey dad as a Hero I'm sure you could do something about this* and whoops a rain of hellfire on the school staff#On the flipside Inko finds out about the abuse and flips on Enji because how dare he call himself a Hero but act like That™#(she may or may not throw a chair at him because damn it reoccurring theme)#tbh once confronted by an adult who knows the situation is fucked and can point out the wrongness of it from every direction?#It's actually pretty easy for him to back down on some of that and unpack a chunk of trauma

BTW if you haven't already please take a minute to look up what venomous snakes are local to you and familiarize yourself with them
#i joined a local snake ID group recently#before that i knew roughly how to spot a pit viper and hownto tell a coral from a scarlet snake#but i didnt really know how to identify specific species other than copperheads#and now im very confident in my ability to tell water snakes from cottonmouths etc#and it gives really nice peace of mind#like. ive seen so many people here in the us south that will freak out of Any snake#my mom once was yelling and crying trying to get help over a kingsnake on the sidewalk cuz she didnt know if it could kill the dogs#and people will kill snakes if they dont know [and often will anyway but knowing helps foster appreciation]#and now i can see a snake and say thats a coachwhip. isnt it pretty. and will gently grab the back end to look at it for just a second more#before letting it go hide#idk. i saw a rattlesnake in the woods today#and its the first time seeing one in the wild like that. and yea it was scary tbh#and i got a pic but booked it out once it noticed me and reacted#but i wish i had stopped and watched it longer cuz it was super pretty#and i know it wouldnt have bothered me at all#im just glad that we've seen two big full sized diamondbacks here in the past few months. and i know theyre two individuals#because eastern diamondbacks are declining and its good to know theres a population here#idk. im getting sentimental over snakes i just love them#but my main point is its so easy to indentify snakes at least where im at#and learning to id them comes with learning to respect them

you know, this morning my agenda for the day was cleared. I thought up some errands to take care of tomorrow in one fell swoop, and then it turned out I was gonna get a buddy and the opportunity to take care of about half of it today which, baller, am i right? Plan is to get back out tomorrow at some point and take care of the rest of it and once my brain catches up that the hardest of the trips is out of the way, we'll be set lol
#Should i have done as much today as i ended up doing? probably not but like that's the case any time i leave the house#and like. this way at least i'm spreading the damage out over a couple of days#so there's time to heal up and reassess the situation come morning style#pretend my words are the correct ones in this case - i know they're the ones i want but you might not so just pretend until it's correct#i gotta use my two-ish weeks of mobility wisely and the best way to do that#is to use up all of my mobility as fast as possible right?#okay that's a joke i realized i said to pretend my words were the correct ones but like i should probably clarify#that it is inadvisable to use up all of your mobility all at once if you know that's a possibility#but also a bitch gotta get shit done SOMETIME so like#tomorrow should theoretically be a bunch of easy trips it's just also like 4-5 stops we might be making#so it's important to recognize i may need to pace myself lol#it is ASTOUNDING how much the compression socks help me tbh#like i know my limits pretty good - i don't always listen to them until they hard-stop me but like#i know them we've talked#and i hit my warning signs WAY late into the game tbh#i swear to god please brain realize we Did Several Things on the list please#a list we didn't even have for today to start with please recognize accomplishment brainnnnnnnn

milk only, any% eggnog run
ingredients
-9oz | ~266mL milk
-2 egg yolks
-~1/3 cup | 37.5g sugar
-pinch of salt
-1 tsp | 5mL vanilla
-1/4 tsp | ~1g cinnamon (optional)
-1/4 tsp | ~1g nutmeg (optional)
-~2 tsp | ~2g cocoa powder (hot choc route)
steps
-mix egg yolks, vanilla, and sugar in a bowl
-add cocoa powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and milk to a pan
-heat until steaming
-have a whisk in hand, add in a little milk to the egg bowl, and whisk vigorously. important to whisk to avoid cooking the eggs
-continue adding milk, little by little, until around a third of the milk has been added to the bowl
-pour egg mixture back into saucepan
-whisk constantly until mixture starts to thicken
-pour into glass and chill for an hour
-add marshmallows if you've got em
-enjoy

#liveblogging life#i am a chronic on time person precisely bc i grew up with two parents who could not be on time to save their fucking lives#like im not perfect about it but generally if i say i'm going to see you at a certain time#i will make every effort to get there either precisely on time or 5-10m early#the early thing is what's leftover from japan i think - i always had to be 15m early to stuff there and it's just kind of stuck tbh#but im also neurotic about it - tbh it irritates me SO much when people say a certain time for meeting & then are super late#like i get being a little late or w/e but when it's like 30+ minutes....#my sister's friend was supposed to pick up her kids on thurs & she was like 45m past the time she said she was going to come#and i was going BANANAS like lady i planned the rest of my evening around you being on time! i have places to be! jesus christ!#idk man i feel like im pretty easy going about most things but something about tardiness really unlocks my inner pta mom demon#also irritated bc he was supposed to be picking me up for driving practice#and now that he's going to be an hour late we no longer have time to do it bc we have to be at dinner at 5p#so like. great! there goes an hour i really could have used for practice!#and with. very little time left before im supposed to retake the test and hopefully not fail again lmao

if im being honest and allowing myself to vent a bit about it ... another red flag was when the DM went 'wow i love the detail of your backstory but idk what i can do with it tho ):'
#[static]#it immediately made me feel bad for trying to make a character work with the aesthetic she had given us tbh#i could already tell she didnt seem to be super character story driven so i just made a pretty simple drifter-type#for a post-apocalyptic setting n such and made a group that tied into the whole over-arching premise#i also literally just did bullet points cuz i could tell she wasn't gonna want to read one of the backstories i usually do#and as someone who has mostly dm'd in the past i did my v best to make a character that was super easy for the dm to incorporate in any way#like a solid reason for being there a reason for wanting to adventure with strangers a reason for seeing the mission through no matter what#made a whole small faction and connected them to the overarching theme and plot in multiple ways#wrote down lore and npcs she could use for the faction if she didnt want to make up her own#like all the works and all i got was two sentences back about it ... one of them being like 'cool but i dont like the extra details'#aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh#ok im done yelling now i just need to vent for a second#i feel bad for feeling kinda bummed about the experience because this is the first time i got to play at a physical table in years#and i know how hard it is to DM#but also when you come to the table with zero notes for the first session its ... probably gonna be disappointing jkfghdf#i DID have fun however because the party banter was hilarious and it was fun getting to hang out with ppl!#but communication between DM and players was not great#also let me be clear she did like that i made so many connections and hooks into the story and it helped her a lot#she was NOT interested in my character's past like ... jobs or npcs#but also u could just Not say anything about it and just be like 'sweet cool thanks for the info' LMAo

#it looks good so far tbh i like doing secondary action a lot and this gave me some of that to do#im NOT used to animating humans though. its pretty easy but WOW im so used to only animating simple characters#my only regret is not making the lines cleaner. cleanup is such a boring process but its worth it LOL
