I don't know WHY, but for some reason I've had a vision of a Golden Ratio Slay the Princess AU.

I genuinely don't know why, maybe it's because of Ratio's owl motif and one of 2.1 quests being named A Cat Among Pigeons (in reference to Agatha Christie and possibly Aventurine's role) and then later owning three black cakecats even if he's mostly associated with peacocks? Maybe it's because I somehow associate Aventurine's many masks and personas we see over the time we know him with the Shifting Mound's many perspectives and how both her and him are so confident their respective foil won't kill or betray them at the end of everything (and are even fine with it if it does happen), how both the Princess and Aventurine always, always fight for freedom and are denied it until the very end of their story when they finally are granted a true escape through their own efforts and an outside force be it through being show the way or death? How they're both connected to a being so much larger than them but have no say over it (the Princess being seen as only a part/perspective of the Shifting Mound even if she can be found at her heart, Aventurine was blessed by Gaiathra Triclops and ultimately none of that did them any good).

Or maybe it's because I can practically hear this line from the Princess coming out of Aventurine's mouth to Ratio the more close he is to knowing who the real Aventurine is after I woke up in a cold sweat from a nap to write this out:

"Have you figured out what you want to do yet, or are you going to keep trying to find a center that doesn't exist?"

(The Princess saying this about herself and how she's the heart of the Shifting Mound and hasn't really been herself or stopped playing a role through the entirety of the game, but in this context Aventurine saying that there is no 'Kakavasha' or 'No.35' or even 'Aventurine' anymore, just the many masks he wears even though he admits to himself he hasn't changed)

I have no idea if this is anything though or if it would fit their characters at all though. Maybe it's just a silly vision I'll write out one day, maybe not.

Anyways, a Sci varient that has an Outertale energy to him? Like, comes from that timeline/a similar one? Instead of Gaster, he was momentarily ejected from his universe. Just long enough that he was able to enter another and meet a different version of Alphys, before his Gaster + company were able to locate and pull him back into his own universe.

Now he can shortcut out of his universe by mistake, and end up in another one! Usually it doesn't last long, his folks bring him back once they realize he's missing, but each time he gets that much more curious! (God-forbid he ends up in a hostile AU. So far it's only been peaceful ones!) He usually ends up arriving close to someone he knows in his own universe (Alphys, Gaster, Papyrus, etc.) Which is why he's never seen another version of himself. They're always conveniently missing. He's pulled back before anyone can take him to his alternate self! He's so sick of not knowing if he exists! Well, he knows there are others, but he literally never sees them! He wants to know!!!

I think I'd name him after a constellation or his ability to universe-hop, but that's up to me to figure out later lmao.

re: this video… anon 😭 i had suspicions but it is so much worse to have them confirmed that really was like. trevor’s first Public Appearance without jamie AND post-broken ankle which is traumatic in and of itself no wonder every beat reporter was like ‘oh yeah trevor’s just devastated’

so like. the last of the Paradox crew that we introjected is finally reaching the end of their fronting cycle that was way longer than anyone else's and. wow did not expect That Many of them to be the ones mostly in charge of collective memory and internal protection? we're forgetting More Stuff bc we don't have Percy constantly popping in to provide some system history

Houseki no Kuni finally ended and I am the farthest thing from okay between being hit by Penacony and that practically back to back.

So to avoid dealing with my emotions about it because I have way too many assignments due and instead think of crossover possibilities that will probably never happen.

Like a meeting of Phos and Aventurine in the Nihility in between Phos' journey through space and time. Either with Phos' as themselves or as their new existence as a comet, brightening up his road as he makes his journey through Nihility, maybe as a pick me up if he ever loses sight of the destination. Or Ratio's day as he waits for Aventurine to make his way back, a dazzling, shining ray of light where all dreams in Penacony are artificial and carefully controlled, when there isn't any predictions for meteor showers or the like in the Penacony of reality, something beautiful that he can tell Aventurine about later after he comes back to him.

Or he'll tell him about this young person with a hair like jewels who told him that, if it's really important to him, no matter the pain of waiting or of things left unsaid or of anything truly changing, that he should wait anyway. They only meet once and he would have intended to wait anyway, but it's a nice reminder to have.

Who knows maybe I'll write that out one day.

really close to starting the Reaper IFF mission! I wanted to do all the assignments and planet scanning before hand, so I'm currently halfway through the Arrival DLC.

idk how many hours I'll have left after the Reaper IFF mission ... but it feels like I'm heading towards the endgame.

I'm trying to finish ME2 before Friday so that I can spend my vacation just playing massive amounts of Dragon's Dogma 2
