On the other hand, I would really like to grind people into the dust for forcing my hand and making me viciously remind them that I'm the one with the Real Power™ here and I'm disappointed in them for making me do this in the first place

But, I'm also a petty little binch so I enjoy the process regardless

I know that between RL and zero inspiration, your stories are on a stall, but I've read once that asking/commenting on artists' works might help them get out of the autor block, so let's see if it actually works!!

So, I've recently seen a few scenes of Aurora in legacies and the originals, and I've been thinking... What will (or had) happen to her on The Wolf?

Did her unconscious body get lost into some old tomb and just left to rot? Did Marcel kill her at some point in these 5 years? Did she magically survive like she did in TO?

I know that she's probably not a character that you care enough for to give her any sort of ending, but you're also famous for fixing TO's plotholes, so! here it is!

Also, besides her role in TW, what's your opinion on her?

I've seen her in Legacies, and I LOVED her, and while searching for some scenepacks, I found out a klaurora one, with all their scenes and mentions, and I loved even more!

Unlike Camille, she grew out of her attachment to Klaus (for the most part) once he turned his back on her, and she actually had some character development in Legacies (I know you haven't watched it, and frankly I wish I didn't either, but it felt right to still mention this).

In addition, I love how she laughed at Camille for calling Klaus "good" lol she was really baffled by the therapist's naivety.

I don't know that talking about TW is gonna make me inspired at this stage, but why not 😂

I think I've shared my opinion on Aurora several times. I'm not a fan. The concept of Aurora is fine and I like it a lot, it's the execution that I really hate. I think they had a chance to go a really fantastic story line and they butchered it the same way they butchered everything else in TOS3. There is no consistency whatsoever and Aurora suffers maybe more than almost everyone else. They couldn't decide what to do with her, and so they ended up getting rid of her in a very random way (and forgetting she was still there at all until apparently someone from the Legacies writing team remembered it). I haven't seen Legacies, so can't speak for what they did to her there.

I don't think she grew out of her attachment to Klaus at all actually, and that's the part that really annoyed me. She was an interesting character up until the point where she becomes the crazy jealous ex-girlfriend who snaps at the mere mention of Cami's name and decides to prove to Klaus that they belong together because Cami is not as good and pure as he thinks she is. 🙄 As if she has spent 1000 years waiting for nothing more than to be reunited with Klaus. Then she's just the spiteful ex with a vendetta against the girl he likes. I mean… There are millions of ways they could've gone about Aurora's character, but they chose to go with the worst. She had every reason to resent the Mikaelsons, more so than Lucien or Tristan, even Klaus. She could've been a bright (if deranged) character, instead she's shown to be dellusional and petty. I think when she laughs at Cami's alleged naivety, the story suggests that the joke is on her, which………. Well.

TOS3 is so erratic it's hard to know what they were aiming for at the beginning, it feels like they veered directions about 200 times while trying to find their footing. My suspicion is that they were getting pressured because of the low ratings and so had to keep trying to "fix" the season, only making it more and more inconsistent. The fact they ended up killing Cami out of nowhere and then got shrunk down to 13 episodes sort of confirms that. Maybe they had better ideas for Aurora at first, but ended up ruining it while trying to fix Cami's path within the story. Still, I'm not a fan of S3 at all, and least of all what they did to the trio. I had high hopes for them.

Sorry for the rant 😂 I could keep going forever and ever about this, but yeah. I'm not a fan of how it all turned out. Concept!Aurora is great, but what she's actually like on the show, not so much. For me, at least. I realize I might be in the minority here because most people seem to favor S3 of TO. Maybe it's because Aurora offers a counterpoint to Cami that is more interesting. I was just annoyed by the narrative 😂

Dead Friend Forever - Ep 8

One of the reasons I love DFF so much is the fact that we already have 8 episodes and NONE of them are bad or worse than the previous one, there is no annoying fluctuation or drop in quality. From the first episode, the series maintains a constant, very high level, which is almost unheard of in BL series, or in series in general ✨

DFF has the perfect storytelling for a show about crime and mystery. It is as if we were in a dark room surrounded by vague shapes and with one light source, and with each episode the light gets stronger brings new shapes out of the darkness. In this episode, it was Tee's involvement in Non's disappearance. And also Keng's fate. The crew's behavior at the beginning of the series, their sense of guilt mixed with persistent and aggressive convincing themselves that Non simply disappeared (also - as if it were normal, such a disappearance), and Tee and Top's belief that Non is a ghost (i.e. dead), found a perfect explanation. Because when they see Non for the last time, he is alive. And Tee (and possibly Top because he was there) know more, but not everything. What is clear, however, is the power of delulu in all of them and the creeping, repressed subconscious knowledge that no, Non did not run away with Keng...

My personal comment: while I can objectively consider their shades, greyness, nuances and so on, the fact that they lied to the police without hesitation in Non's case and then everyone preyed and fed on his work and basked in the light of success, eliminates all their "shades". And yes, even Jin showing off his pained face. I'm a fan of PheeJin, but I want to make one thing clear: I'm not interested in his remorse, his or Tee's motivations. I'm interested in the result and how they behaved. I'm interested in their choices. And in the case of these guys, the truth is really clear and out there. It's not about one choice, one mistake. What I mean, an endless SERIES of choices and mistakes ending with Non's disappearance, who no one knows where he is, doesn't go to school, is with some shady adult, doesn't live a normal teenager's life. The way THEY ALL LIVE.

Non's relationship with his parents was amazingly presented, as well as the accusations about which one of them was responsible for his sexuality, which is such a rl experience. It's also telling, that neither of his parents asked him how you were feeling? Do you need help? No, they just made it all about themselves, thought that the teenage child, THEIR CHILD, just did it on its own, probably to spite them. And they immediately compared him to his brother who "would never do something like that." Also Non's mental breakdown, his manic episode, but also how he didn't get rid of his old habits, his gullibility, because he gave in to Tee very easily and drank water from him. This is all very credible. Barcode played phenomenally in this episode, his sobs, screams, laughter, the way he flinches when someone says something to him or touches him. Amazing.

Por is happy with himself and his success and then his father's words "My help in this is not in vain" bring him back to reality. I love his reaction to it, how all his satisfaction disappears. I wonder how many times Por realized that he was just an extension of his father's political career. And that he will never do anything on his own, whatever success he has will always be the work of others, his mother, his father even fucking Greasy. Even Tee said that if it weren't for Por's father, this movie would never have been made.

SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN THE PREVIEW OF THE NEXT EPISODE: It seems strange to me that Phee and Tan spent 3 years investigating Non's disapperance, being friends with his bullies and, in Phee's case, sleeping with his potential bully. And only on this trip did they finally decide to uncover Non's fate (I tend to believe that Phee and Tan are not murderers and are conducting a psychological war with these boys, and the murderer acts independently of them). I don't question the fact that it was difficult to get anything out of them, because it was obvious that no one would want to talk about their involvement in something like that (which is why I believe that Phee and Tan came up with a plan to scare them and get information out of them). The only thing that worries me is time. 3 years in the company of your loved one's/ your brother's bullies is A LOT and a very heavy mental burden to bear. But I believe in this series and I know it will explain everything 😍

yes!! we love and support Lily here and the line between shipping landoscar as a couple vs as their real life relationship is extremely clear. a similar ship is George and Alex where both Lily and Carmen are beloved by the people who ship galex. it's so easy to not hate women, adore the two guys' real life friendship, and then ship them romantically for fun in non-public spaces. so so easy.

the larrying of car|ando breaks my heart a little bc that was my first F1 rpf ship and I also love their real life friendship - genuinely the Singapore race meant way more to me emotionally for Carlos having always been big protective brother to Lando than needing to put on ship goggles. no one rly knows why car|ando is the one that people have decided is "legit" esp when Daniel and Lando straight up did the gay baiting stuff and Max V is the only driver that Lando actively has an off-season engagement with (as well as a longer driver relationship than Carlos or Daniel). but there's no reasoning w people who use vile rampant misogyny against real life girlfriends as if that will someone make two guy friends suddenly get married or whatever.

but I will say that a lot of us who still ship car|ando aren't in the larry crowd and can distinguish reality from fiction so don't be too spooked off them <3

honestly as a relatively new blog myself I can tell you that everyone in landoscar fandom is extremely kind and welcoming! my walls of text have got to get tedious at times but if anyone's annoyed then they don't say and just scroll on by!

but a heads up that tumblr is a very tricky place for keeping up with people and content by the tags and dash alone so I would make sure to tag your posts very well and also just start sending in some asks to blogs! personally I try to systematically check mutuals blogs bc tumblr sometimes shoves a person's posts wayyyy down.

and this is a personal preference and I'm not sure if you're a fic writer but it's such a huge help with fic posts if there's a banner or even just a pic bc for some reason those show up on my dash more than text post only fic.

Why would I be embarrassed I ship a dude who's a literal golden retriever. Who met and fell instantly in love with a single father, whos also a war vet. They became a family right away. Who he tried to dig his way down to. The other got struck by lightening but still ran up a ladder without a rope to save him. They have saved each other countless times. They flirt in the most ridiculous ways. They break so many stereo types it's beyond ridiculous.

And BTS??? The actual men are very good friends. They clearly have been there for each other in many ways. I think we can all agree Oliver must have been there for Ryan during his RL break up in S6. "Boys Only Trailer" anyone. And they both want the ship!!!

So no I'm not embarrassed. I'm embarrassed you think bringing on someone for maybe 20 minutes screen time is some how more groundbreaking than a ship with a 7 year foundation under it.

Preach! I mean the type of chemistry Ryan and Oliver have has always been impressive but lately it did amp up and they both want the ship. You can't get them to shut up about it. And there is SO MUCH to build on top of with the actual show. Like, Buck and Eddie have been through so many things together, and they get through it together too, how can you look at Buck clawing at the dirt or Eddie screaming like that after the lightning and somehow think whatever bt is is better? Like, come on, they are best friends and partners and family and they are everything.

I'm not usually someone who listens to books but this podfic is fantastic, especially because when I read (or especially reread) something I tend to skip over things, especially scenes I know the resolution of (like most fight scenes), but listening to it I have to listen to all of it and I can't skip ahead so I'm finding things I hadn't noticed about the fic before. Every chapter is like 1-2 hours long, it's a mini-vacation I give myself to sit back and listen. 💕💕💕💕

My biggest wish from Gasmamman is that they repair the rl between Linus and Gustav. They were so distant in the last couple of seasons... It's weird how much I care for all three siblings since I couldn't stand Nina in the first two seasons and Gustav in the third one... But by the end I loved them all and just wanted them free from their mother's influence.

I'm intrigued who will go after them as well. Sonja is now dead so whoever it is, it must be some sort of personal vendetta to want to kill them since I don't think they'll go into the business by their own choice. Ahh, can't wait! This is probably the one show I've watched where I feel an epilogue/ spin off is warranted.

Did i write this ask myself? I couldn't stand Nina in season 1-2 and Gustav started to annoy me in season 3 and I despised him in season 4-5. So far Linus is the only sibling I've not hated. Hopefully it stays that way.

At the end of the day I feel for them so much and I have so much sympathy for them. They were dealt shit hand and has so much trauma! They deserve stability and love!

Yes it definitely feels very personal. I'm trying to think back if there's someone who has been affected by Sonja's actions on a very personal level (there obviously are)

I do feel like there are so many questions that will be answered but also that there's potential for something very good.

Bake Me Please - Ep 5

Bake Me Please is probably the first BL series I've ever seen that has such irritating characters and an irritating plot, but where the irritation comes from how much the series feels REAL and therefore is annoying af as the rl usually is, and not because I just find it annoying personally. For example, I feel a completely different irritation when watching Pit Babe than I do when I watch Bake Me Please, the main difference is that Bake Me Please makes me LOVE being annoyed, I am invested in this stupidity, instead of being tired by it 😄

I literally know such stories from real life, I know people like Peach and Shin. I've seen their situation in rl. In a separate post, I wrote about how Shin is not boyfriend material. Really, the more I think about it, the more I become convinced that Shin REALLY should undergo therapy and lessons in controlling himself, his anger and his reflexes. And most of all, learning that not everything is ABOUT HIM, that people make decisions not thinking about HIM, and that not everyone around him is his open or hidden enemy, and that sometimes things just turn out that way. At this point, Shin is a person who is not suitable for starting a relationship, because even if Shin and Peach were to reconcile now and start over, the next time things will go not to Shin's liking, he will react exactly the same.

There's also the matter of Shin's malice and his complete lack of qualms about actively hurting Peach. The scene when Peach cries and Shin, instead of coming to his senses, doubles down on his cruelty was very telling. I understand the anger (though honestly, Shin acts like Peach did something really, REALLY bad), but that moment when you look at the person you technically love, and they stand in front of you, heartbroken and in tears, and your heart hardens at that view, instead of going soft, or worse! your heart softens but your pride does not allow you to make a gesture of comfort - because after all this person is suffering - something is very wrong here.

Peach is really unlucky in love 😩 (it must be a really bad karma, Tharn with his thriving romance is a lucky one here lol), Shin is not suitable for a relationship, and Guy, as it turns out, also uses manipulation and ugly tricks to get Peach. Moreover, seeing Peach devastated, Guy doesn't think about him either, he just tries to push his own agenda. Likewise, I can't stand his constant accusation of Shin of "taking everything from him, professionally and personally." Thus, he denies Shin from simply being good at his job, and also denies Peach his own choice. Guy, by snitching on Peach to Shin and creating a conflict between them and accusing Shin of taking Peach away from him (wtf???), really treats Peach as someone without his own mind and free will, capable of making his own, even bad, choices.

That's why I'm shipping Peach with the boss of the other bakery, I think his name is Per, who seems to be the most sensible guy in this series (next to Atom) 😎

I also really like Per's final blow, which is: why is everyone running away from your workplace? Because you can really see the difference in the working atmosphere in both bakeries. I have to ask: if Shin's bakery hadn't made it to the finals, would they also throw a party, as they did at his bakery?

As far as I can tell, there are only, um, three? series about workplace romances this year, that weren't a complete disasters. Bake Me Please is not one of them, regardless of what the finale will show 😀

Short answer: My absolute child and the only OC I have cried genuine, REAL tears over. And not tearing up or sniffling a little, full on SOBS. Kat still owes me emotional compensation for that one 😤😤

Long answer: She's one of @katkastrofa’s OCs that I now have partial custody of. P'Li's little sister, born in 136 AG, a sweet cinnamon roll too good for this world, too pure, no matter how damn overused that phrase is, it still fits her 🥺🥺🥺 When drawing her last year I accidentally made her look a lot like my friend's little sister so now I am always extra soft about her. But considering what happens, you can imagine the level of emotional devastation this is causing me and just how much this has affected my ability to look at Katya the same way ever again. Doesn't help that her older sister has an annoying tendency to wear her waist length hair in a brushed back braid...

Anyway, for reference, the baby girl, sweet girl herself, from about July 2023:

She's the living embodiment of a tragedy, a child born to be collateral damage, the one who could not be saved no matter what was done, the "it was always going to end this way" half of the tragedy dichotomy. A little girl unjustly killed as punishment for her sister not wanting to become a warlord's weapon, forever remaining as nothing more but a hazy memory of someone to protect. And I'm gonna stop now because I will start crying again, istg–

(There is a verse where she lives, though that is part of a much larger AU that can basically be summed up as "completely self indulgent mishmash of ideas, everybody lives/nobody dies, sunshine and rainbows and peace on earth, unless you're a world leader, then RIP", or as we like to call it, the Ultimate AU, because we never came up with a better name :P But getting into it would take too long and there really isn't too much to explain since it lacks a cohesive plot and is more a bunch of family shenanigans thrown together, so... moving on)

In Kat's fic Lost and Found the memory of Lien-Hua is the driving force behind all of P'Li's decisions, and she constantly blames herself for not having been able to save her (despite the fact she was a child herself, no older than 13), right up until the very end where she.. doesn't really get closure, per se, but is able to let Lien go, in the scene which I have affectionately dubbed "F.C. Yee owes Kat major royalties for this one, holy hell" #ifyouknowyouknow. But also Lien is a point of some interpersonal conflict since no one else can quite relate to P'Li in this case. Ming-Hua (while not present in LaF) is an only child, Zaheer is the youngest of three and was never close with his sisters, and Ghazan... well, his sister is two separate cans of worms depending on whether you're talking about Haya or Zada. Some pretty interesting stuff overall, really scratches my soft spot for family related dealings in fics, and I can't believe I just realised that P'Li's the only non-youngest child in the RL foursome, huh. It's oddly fitting, in a way, at least in my opinion

Oh, and also, Midori is a reincarnation of Lien-Hua :)

RL Simself Story ⛈️

We had just arrived at Damien’s Mom's house. The thunderstorm continued, so Nico and I had to spend the night there. As I wanted to call my Mom, to tell her not to worry, Ana also called me, to tell me Daniel was back home. I was confused!?... I couldn’t believe it and I was annoyed by some things Ana did. Why was she at our place to talk to D.? Why is Ana meddling in my affairs? I mean, I get it! She was worried about him, she loved Daniel, just like my whole family did. But why did she have to mention that.... Lexi- shit? And why does she always think Alex is responsible for D.'s & my probs? Anyway, it pissed me off. And Nico was sitting right next to me while I was on the phone with Ana & my Mom. So he knew it too now, that D. was back. 😞

Me (to N.): I’m so sorry.... But trust me, it doesn’t change anything. I promise.... Uhm... I'll step out for a sec. I-...I have to call Ana back.

Nico: It's raining buckets!! Where you going? It's crazy out there.

I'm so stupid!!! No one was out in the fucking weather, expect me, fool!... I had some questions for Ana. She said Daniel seemed high to her. I wanted to know why? Why did she think that? Well, Ana meant D. smoked, when she saw him. Actually, she was right. Daniel only smoked when he was high, or when we tried to get off that damn durg. I was worried about him, but at the same time, also mad. By now I knew, that Daniel saw Irena, just before he left 4 months ago. He was in her apartment. I didn’t know why he was there, at Irenas and his former place? Irena didn't want to tell me more.

Ana: Where are you anyway? Are you out there alone?

Me: Ah... yea, I'm alone.... Agh, Ana? Um... shit. The reception here's poor. Wait, I’m going in a different direction. Maybe it's better there?.... I think I’m gonna call Daniel.

Ana: You should go back to the house, to N. Just text Daniel. Tell him you'll be back home soon. But you don't have to call him, now A.!

Perfect timing. My phone died. 🤦‍♀️I was so absorbed in talking to my sister, that I got lost! I had no reception near Damien’s house, so I went in a completely different direction, but now, I did not know where I was? I decided to go back the way I went. Couldn't be so difficult, I thought....🧐

I was wrong! I got a.... little mental breakdown?... I wandered blind through an unknown area. Because of the heavy rain I could hardly open my eyes. I started to panic. I couldn’t use my phone to call N. He’ll think I left him, to rush home to Daniel. I was so worried about that. Nico told me himslef, just a few days ago, that he doesn’t trust me anymore. He's gonna hate me! 😨 And my Baby won’t have a Dad or a family bcs of me. 😭... I tried not to think about it, but about the tips my therapist taught me, to better deal with my panic attacks. And yea, I calmed down. I looked around again. I tried to concentrate to keep my eyes open. I saw two houses in the street where I was. I made my way towards the houses, to ask someone for help. But then I changed my mind. Somehow I didn’t feel good about ringing at strangers. I was afraid a psycho could lure me into his house. 😬 Yup, that's from watching so many horror movies, Ik!

Besides, I noticed that the road I was on, was a sign pointing to a bar and some shops, that should be just around the corner. I decided to try this first, before... well, I get killed by a sicko. Believe me, I have often run into some sick guys in my life. That’s why I was so insecure.

Meanwhile the others were starting to worry about me. Nico couldn’t find me outside and my phone was off too. He asked Damien to help him look for me. Oh, and the electricity was cut.  Allegedly, an important power pole was damaged by lightning. 🤷‍♀️

As you can see, I did not end up in a bar, but went to a shop that was open. I was so relieved when I saw other people there. They were surprised by the thunderstorm. Now they’ve been stuck in that small twon for two hours. They couldn’t get home. The streets were closed due to flooding and some other probs. Anyway, I was looking for the shop assistant to ask if I could use their phone. I just wanted to call N. to tell him where I was. Finally I found a young woman standing behind the counter, admiring herself in the mirror and taking selfies. I think she was about to go home? She grabbed her bag and hung it over her shoulder....

Me: Hi!... Um, excuse me?... Sorry, I don’t want to disturb you. Um, may I short use the phone here somewhere? I’m not from this area, just visiting, but I got lost. I just want to call my boyfriend so he doesn’t worry about me.

Girl: Oh, hi!... Sorry, but we are having technical probs with our phone connection atm. But, you know what? You can use my phone for a second. I hope it works. I just got off the phone with my brother and my mom. Let's try.

Me: Omg, I know you! (😡) Is your brother Damien?

Yes, I met Diana. Damien's Twin Sister. Let’s see if she remembers me? 😒... Oh, and btw, I didn’t really get lost. I just have a terrible sense of direction! Damien’s house was only 2 blocks away!!! So I went in the right direction, but.... somehow I didn’t recognize the surroundings. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Listen I'm trying to be supportive of RL Belos here, but if I was Evelyn and he tried to kill me I wouldn't be ten feet near that guy and I sure as hell wouldn't allow my children near him even if he was my BIL.

Did he try to kill her while she was pregnant? Did Caleb have to stop him? Did he ever apologise/make up for it? Because even though he's better in this au he still majorly annoys me like he does in canon and I cannot find it within myself to pity him much at all.

(Was gonna say this at the end, but I think it's kinda silly to follow an AU where a character you find annoying is one of the main characters and is thus heavily focused on. It's also a little rude to come and tell someone how much you dislike a character they really enjoy, it's better to keep that on your own blog. But I digress)

Anyways, I'd like to clarify some things here/give a more detailed timeline of the dynamic.

Evelyn has met Philip before. During her initial visits to the Human Realm, she (~18 years old) pretended to be human, and she befriended Caleb (17-18 years old) - and she was on friendly terms with Philip (13-14 years old) as well, although they weren't close. The relationship went on that way for a couple years, and over that time she started to visit more frequently (originally she started at once every few weeks).

When she finally revealed she was a witch, it was only to Caleb, and both were unaware that Philip was spying on them. Upon seeing her perform real magic, Philip didn't hate her at first, he was just scared. He didn't report either of them, and didn't tell either of them that he knew Evelyn's secret, but was becoming worried that she was dangerous to Caleb.

At one point Evelyn (~22) and Caleb (21-22) were found out and Caleb was about to go on trial, but Evelyn rescued him and they ran away to the Demon Realm. Philip (~18) later followed and found them a few months later, being convinced during his search that Caleb is in danger.

He tried to attack Evelyn in that initial encounter, and she was startled for a bit, before realizing that she can handle him if she just uses magic, since he's human and doesn't have magic of his own. That was also the only time he tried to attack her in that way.

After being calmed down by Caleb and, after a very long conversation, begrudgingly agreeing to give the Demon Realm a chance (for Caleb's sake), Philip remained hostile to Evelyn for a while, but that hostility was mostly bratty child behavior, feral cat behavior (growling, etc) and passive-aggressive prayers. She found some of it funny and once wondered if her beast keeping magic would work on him.

He'd get into some arguments with her, but wouldn't try to physically fight her, in part because he knew she'd just trap him in abomination slime, vines and/or stone if he tried. Caleb's presence was an additional mitigating/soothing factor.

She also figured that if Caleb could change his beliefs after coming from the same place, Philip likely could too, and if he isn't trying to murder or attack anyone, why not give him a chance.

She knew he was only hostile due to being indoctrinated as a child to believe that witches were evil, and only attacked her due to being convinced she was a danger to Caleb, so if that belief was to be dismantled, he would probably become friendly. And it did happen, and he gradually came to accept witchkind as a whole. Realizing his own queerness also contributed to his old beliefs falling apart.

The birth of Caleb and Evelyn's child also helped soften him. By the time the child started to say their first words and learned to call him uncle, it was really pulling on his heartstrings. At that point he was already on generally friendly terms with Evelyn and was allowed to hold the kid sometimes. He was already showing hints of his protective parental traits back then with how he treated the kid, although he would only become a parent himself many decades later.

And yeah, Philip apologized for everything at multiple points during his deradicalization. As for what he did to make up for it, given Evelyn's playful personality, she probably asked him to do something silly to entertain her as an apology. He'd also help her and Caleb fix stuff that broke in their house, and he was showing early signs of his interest in engineering, as he really liked fixing mechanical things.

They ultimately ended up becoming besties, and their personalities meshed well. They only drifted apart and eventually lost touch after Caleb's death, mainly through Philip drifting away, since he blamed himself for the accident in the mines and was particularly ashamed to be around the child.

Also the reason he continued trying to build the portal door even after he accepted the Isles wasn't because he wanted to go back (he felt safer and more accepted among witches), but because he wanted to spread the truth to other humans, and hoped he could change their minds too and end witch hunting, so no witch or human is harmed by them again (this later fed into his developing belief that the realms should be united). So he wanted to fix the systemic problem as well, although his expectations for how it would go and whether it would even work were too idealized.

2024 Game Clear #16 Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

I find it kinda funny that this single game took me like 3 times as long to beat than the entire original game, it makes sense and alot of that is just me going out my way to do almost everything, but it's still funny to me.

Man nothing gets me more emotional then FF7 stuff, both with this game and remake before I am just in awe constantly with how well they ride the tone of the original game, it feels doubly impressive if you go from Dirge & Advent into these like I did with the first Remake. You can really feel the love, care & thought that this team put into these games. Every character feels like the best version of themselves, even someone like Cait Sith, who I didn't really have much of an opinion on before- I love here, his voice actor and animations do a fantastic job endearing me to him.

I do have some grips, some deliberately slow animations for turning switches and walking through corridors are still here, I didn't really feel like they were that bad in the first game but I do think they're much more annoying to me in the open world design and they feel like they serve less of purposes here on the PS5... I wonder ig they only exist here to make the original game not feel retroactively worst to play.

This is a me issue I think and not necessary a fault of the game because I think some RL stuff add to it, but I did feel a little burned out by end. There was so many side content & doing it all kinda felt repetitive at times, its not that I don't think all that side content isn't high quality, it absolutely is & that why I did so much of it because I wanted to see every story this game had to tell. I'm just not built for being that rigorous in a open world game I think.

also one quest had a bug that wouldn't let me turn it in which was a bummer but i guess it kinda impressive that for a game this big that was the only real glitch but still a disappointment

As a Crisis Core lover there was definitely some stuff that made me scream out loud consider the guy on the right of the box, but I just wanna close out saying while I do still miss Rick Gomez quite a bit as Zack, I do think Caleb Pierce does a pretty good job here compared to CC Reunion. I've been pretty critical of his performance in the past so I just wanna acknowledge the improvement

experience in RP — Since 2003, so it's been 20 freaking years now of on and off RP life. Feeling old now. I started on xanga as Bankotsu from Inuyasha. It was a lawless RP land back then. Everyone god modded and one lined, but it was a grand time. My Bankotsu got so many of those sacred jewel shards.

best experiences — I have many. The first days of RP were certainly some of them. I actually met quite a few people from RP in RL. I would say the best of the best was when I met a group of Danganranpa RPers on anirp, and we did different story-lines all together. The one guy made up stories and events for the characters. I was Gundham. We also did the despair storyline which I think was my favorite, because I was able to do despair Gundham and made such a great backstory and I got so many compliments from the group on how I portrayed him(I guess he was pretty similar to the joker according to some.) I got my own event where i tried to kill all the other remnants with my animal army. We also did a really fun persona storyline. I got to be the fem p3 protag and had a love triangle with Shinji and Akihiko. ;) There was some drama with the group, and the leader talked a lot of crap cause I was busy and missed a lot of events though, so I ended up leaving.

pet peeves / dealbreakers — My number one is the one thing I will block you for: If you ask for a starter and then never reply. I have very little time to write and I can't stand people wasting my time. Another is drama of course. I come to RP as an escape, not for more stress. It also annoys me if someone posts a starter call and I like it, but get ignored. Why did you follow me back if you don't want to RP?

muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — Fluff and angst are by far my two favorite genres. I love the corny, romantic slow burn more than anything. Romance is dead irl and I need some kind of fantasy outlet since I'm a hopeless romantic. I also just love angst cause it causes conflict and helps the characters develop, and I just live for the drama. Besides, after the hurt, comes the comfort. My other favorite genre is dark. I love writing dark things. Junko is a good outlet for that, and I'd love to write despair Gundham sometimes. Also Dark Mikey. Smut, I'm pretty good at writing it, but I need a solid storyline and a slow burn romance that leads up to it. Except maybe for Junko.

plot or memes — I honestly usually just wing stuff haha. I've posted memes but people generally don't send them to start new storylines with me. Since I'm shy, I don't typically approach people to try and plot either v.v But both are great when they happen.

long or short replies — I prefer stuff typically on the longer side(If you can't tell by my blog). I would say my typical replies are 3 paragraphs or so, but I can go longer. I really like to flesh out my muses and their thoughts. I don't expect people to keep up though.

best time to write — Weekends by far. Lately I haven't had time to do anything on my weekdays. Work has been crazy busy so I haven't been able to use the work computer for replies. I work two jobs and commute over 2 hours everyday, (and go to the gym 3 days a week), so I just don't have much time for anything during the week.

are you like your muse — I typically do characters that are vastly different from myself, because I feel like that's the most fun for me. Some similarities though:

I love animals(I'm a vet assistant), and I typically dress goth/alt like Gundham

I tend to be impulsive like Mikey

I'm quite air headed, ditzy, and naive like Fubuki(Not to that extreme at least, but a little bit.)

I tend to be logical, cold, and distant like Makoto. I'm also terrible at asking for help, feeling I have to be the rock and do everything myself. I have to always be strong for everyone else, and never show any weakness.

I have a really rough past full of abuse like Benedikta, and am always fighting an internal darkness.
