Going out of your way to tell someone that you chose not to apologize because of how the other person would react and ALSO saying you’ll leave them is a manipulation tactic intended to make that person feel bad about setting boundaries, if not even ease up/go back on them. Real apologies aren’t conditional based on how the recipient reacts— you apologize and then whatever happens afterwards happens.

I would doubt any apology that anon gives considering they basically said “I WOULD apologize, but” in a guilt tripping manner. If anon was going to apologize for real, they would have instead of announcing their choice not to.

i think it depends on which dante she meets

DMC 3 and 1: she would respect his natural talent but see his cokcy, goofy nature as annoying at best and stupid at worst. Dante thinks she is cool and has a bit of an annoying sibling dynamic

but if dante's nonsense gets him troble magik is the 1st to slap him and call him a "tupitsa"

dmc 2: dante feels the same but shows it even less, even brushing her off at some point .magik however see right through this more edgy tone. he is not fooling Magik at her own routine.

did you know the coin in dmc2 is fake and made to trick Dante's clients (and the viewer) into thinking he doesn't care, well magik figures it out fairly quickly, not instantly but faster than most

dmc 5: somehow, the terrible and great influence on Magik at the same time? like he gets why Magik is the way she is, but instead of being a mentor, he just tries to slowly nudge her in the right direction while still letting her be as rough and tumble as she wants.

magik, however, has more genuine respect for him once they get to know each other, having an older figure not spout the same "control your powers, so don't hurt anyone" speech is a breath of fresh air that she craves. on the other hand, there would
