Also, the promotion of 28yl will start soon. He is also in the teaser and trailer and followed on the IG page so he is probably at all the premieres and events. If the film will be presented at some festival I assume he could be there

I really hope he'll be part of it even if he's a smaller character. If it's featured at Cannes for instance I can see him go there which would be amazing. At the very least he should do some Swedish promo? I hope for more of course but with many big names I wouldn't be surprised if they were the focus. We'll see.. regardless I'm very happy for him and I can sense his excitement too with him sharing the posts and such.

Edvin followed Ulf Stenberg on Instagram today, a cast member from Älskar Mig. This plus the jacket he was wearing during New Year's pretty much confirms the theories I suppose / I am so out of the loop. What theories, pls? 😅

On new years Eve Edvin wore a puffer jacket with an Älska mig logo

He hasn't filmed for that series since 2019 or something so it made alot of us speculate why he suddenly wore it now. Since it's been so long it feels random that he has suddenly dug an old jacket out. Especially since he's gotten a lot taller and broader since then so would an old one even fit?

It made us think that maybe he wore it because he recently got it and he's worn it alot. With the weather it made sense he wanted something warm. And if he recently got it why is that?

Maybe because they are doing season three. Josephine who created and directed Älska mig said in an interview a long time ago that she pictured 3 seasons and she had it in her head but the she didn't know when.

it feels like some here have never been a fan of an actor before. Often they will go months, even years, with seemingly nothing much going on or just minor roles. That’s normal - it doesn’t mean work isn’t going on behind the scenes that we’re not privy to. Like the anon said, there’s a lot that goes into being an actor, and we would never know how much of that Edvin is engaging in. Can anyone say he hasn’t been attending auditions, reading scripts etc? I highly doubt it. Everyone needs to chill a bit imo, many of you are starting to sound like haters. Actors are not filming 24/7. I think his insanely packed schedule in 2023 has led some of you to believe that’s the norm, but it’s really not and imo that was unhealthy for him and probably detrimental to both his personal and professional life

For some people I definitely think they dont know but sometimes I get the impression that there's alot of smugness and criticism rather than concern. It feels like people wrap up their gloating as concern but it feels disingenuous.

As you say few actors has a busy schedule all the time and those who do are way more famous and big than Edvin and he's not there yet where he will get more projects that he has time for. He might never get to that point and that's also fine.

He worked alot between 2020-2024. With back to back projects and parallel schedules at times.

I think he purposely slowed down to catch his breath and take care of himself because he said he had worked too much for a while. I'm not saying he's turned down offers to sit on his ass or that he doesn't work. He's just slowed down a bit for a while.

And who knows, maybe he is working on something right now. Or will soon.

And we also have things to look forward to this year.

For the anon: Seriously for an actor not only recording is work, it is reading scripts, doing auditions, and above all doing promo. To say that 2024 has done nothing is to have no idea how it works. 90% of actors would like to have a career of someone 21 years old like that. In addition, he already said that he mentally needed to stop, and stopped for a couple of months since in July/August he was in 28yl and in October he was already in the United States. Anyone has more vacations

Very well said. Alot of things happen behind the scenes and are things we don't really know about.

I guess you are talking about A life's worth? He's definitely one of the biggest names and has been mentioned in most articles. I think for the audience in Sweden it probably won't matter as much. I feel like Johan Rehborg pulls just as much interest if not more. He's very popular in Sweden.

Yeaah...I'm still very much holding onto the hope that maybe he's been working on something and it's just not been announced yet (not shooting yet probably), but I'm slightly beginning to lose hope, ngl. lol

And if he's got nothing on the horizon, it really makes me wonder why that's the case and what the factors playing into this are. Like, is it really that common or an actor THAT early in his career to take such extensive breaks? Really? Like if TV4 hadn't made the decision to do another season of Gasmamman, he essentially would not have worked throughout 2024, save for those 2 to 3 weeks on 28YL...

Coz' here's the thing that I've been wondering about for a looong time now: even if you don't have any bigger role lined up (it's understandable), there are sooo many other you can do: tv/radio gigs? Hosting gigs? Audiobooks even? These things help you build your skills and resume and give you visibility, but maybe he'd consider these things too much of a downgrade at this point, dunno? Heck, even going to, let's say, London to do some training, that'd be amazing (just throwing out ideas lol). But feels like it's been NOTHING, dunno, I don't get it. A young and (presumably) healthy 21/22 y.o. should probably climbing up the walls atp.

I guess there's so much information we're not privy to and time will tell, though.

I don't think it's weird for people to go long between projects, even early in the careers. It's not the norm to do several back to back projects in a year or two.

I wouldn't say he's taken an extensive break when he did two projects in 2024. And the thing is they decided to do epilogen so I don't see your point there and he did do 28 years later one of the most anticipated movies of this year. Even if it's a small role that's huge. No need to disregard that.

He's also done promo, he's been to LA. It's not like he's just sitting on his ass.

At this point I'm not worried. I am impatient but not worried.

And while I get what you are coming from with other gigs I'm not sure he wants to. And also it's not like these things grow on trees for him to just walk in and say Im going to do an audiobook now or I'm going to host something. He's said he has felt a need to limit some of those things. Probably from the period he worked really really hard back in 2022-2023. Maybe he feels different now that he's schedule is less intense and I think it would be nice to see him as a guest somewhere.

not sure what kind of training he should be doing in London though I love London as a city and I think he would enjoy loving there.

I think he's doing things we don't know about yet. And even if be regularly auditions for things I think competition is hard (especially abroad) and I think we can expect him to audion for more things he's cast on and if he wants to do more international roles they will probably be further between. At least in the beginning.

So Edvin posed with @/filipjarl last night, who's part of @/bindefeldkommunikation and had previously invited him to the Ekstedt restaurant and we had all those Nord theories.... today he post Edvin on his page, didn't post anybody else from the event and even posted Edvin first 👀👀👀

I had almost forgot about that! But yeah it was a great little moment to speculatate. It doesn't have to mean anything I guess. It could just be marketing on his part.

Regardless we need news. There has to be something for us to do!
