Robin chose Steve. Robin made the conscious and deliberate decision that she could and would trust Steve. She already liked him! She had fun working and bantering with him! They were already on their way to being weird little bffs and the torture just expedited the process. Steve chose Robin just the same! He thinks she's fun and cool and likes her so much! He chose to be honest and open with her too, putting himself out there.

Even though their interests on the surface level don't match why wouldn't they share them? Steve clearly caves when Robin wants to watch a movie he doesn't think he'll like, Robin can watch a March madness game or five.

Stop trying to take away their bond oh my god people can be close to more than one person!!! Their best friend doesn't have to be dismissive or mean or whatever in order for a romance to be special to them!

One of my mutuals opinions is the "bro code" thing, that Curly is one of those guys who wouldn't care about the victim because the perpetrator is his friend and I'm really banging my head on the wall like that other anon. I've only played through the game once but Curly's behaviour/reactions etc read completely different from the "bro code" thing and I have to wonder if my mutual and I even played the same game.. like the constant digs at him from Jimmy, his body language in his face reveal and so on like you mentioned in your post. While this game is a little different obviously, it kind of reminded of a point in Alice Madness Returns that makes it very clear that Alice's pain blinded her to the abuse of the other children and her failure to act earlier because of it. Curly is guilty of a similar inaction but it doesn't change the fact he was a victim of Jimmy too. I don't think I can look at it any other way because both of these games have really stuck with me.

I genuinely think it really is the idea that people want a simple easy to blame problem and the idea that the only relatable victims of abuse are those that "surpass" it or do a lot to help others. When it comes to victims, especially those that don't fit the typical demographics, who either accidently perpetuate it, enable it or aren't ideal in some way shape or form, people jump to ignore what they went through as it's easier than dealing with those conflicting sentiments.

The bro-code conversation in Mouthwashing stems from a concept I generally dislike that there had to be something about Curly that made him meet or keep being friends with someone like Jimmy. I think people genuinely underestimate how many like decent and good people just know an asshole or are friends with someone who is really bad outside of their view/established dynamics. The game makes it clear none of the inaction against Jimmy is because of a lack of care, it is a lack of understanding from the privaleged postions they have as men to not have to worry about what Anya does/went through and the type of extremes men like Jimmy will go through to cover it up. They are all too preoccupied in their own strifes.

Another thing I see being oversaturated the idea that you have to be a freak, misanthrope or have a disorder to do the thing Jimmy does. The game is an escalation, it's a spiral that I don't see people comment on that Jimmy was not likely having the mood swings and episodes of rage/frustration we were seeing in the game. This is after they all start experiencing the worst moments in their lives that he got THAT openly bad. Of course, this is just my interpretation but much like in real life, people that go to extremes like that usually live mundane lives. It's a pressure cooker affect to where the stress made them pop. It's self inflicted but still the case.

I really think people need to be more willing to acknowledge that not everything needs to be an extreme or in black and white or easy to understand. It doesn't need to be happy or have an answer or solution, especially in the cases where the abused sadly helps perpetuate what they experience. It's not he should've known better from experience or shouldn't he have known what could've happened because victims tend to not like to think in matters of the worst. Not to mention, especially in cases of abuse where it feels so personally directed that you don't expect to happen to someone else.

Quick question — how old is IM!Mugs supposed to be? Cuz in my mind he's IM!Cup's twin (even tho they're really not), yet I vividly remember this point in The Labyrinth Arc™ where IM!Cup is reminiscing about their parents and through his memory we're shown he was at the youngest a toddler when IM!Mugs was born, maybe even a little older (my headcannon is that he was 5 years old, but to each their own)

So yea. I'm very curious now (it WILL affect a story I'm making. probably at least)

The jester, the clown and the five reasons why luffy should NOT rule a kingdom

Trafalgar Law is a jester.

Not really, of course. He's a doctor, a prince, and most recently, a spy. It's not like Dressrosa is short-staffed or anything, he's just bored and the mission should be easy; enter the royal palace of Goa, gather intelligence on the court, leave, and then use that intel to find out if they're a kingdom worth allying with.

Of course, Cora-san would be reluctant to send him on such a mission, but with Doffy's permission and encouragement, there was little that Law's adoptive father, and Dressrosa's spymaster, could do about the matter, other than choosing Law's companion for the mission.

The plan was easy enough to follow; with the recent coronation of the new king, the Choosing Day would soon take place, where the new king would choose the new members of his royal court based on extensive trials and competitions. All Law had to do was apply for the position of royal advisor, approach the king and members of the court, find out how Goa worked and get to know the people of the kingdom. Meanwhile, his companion would apply for the position of court jester and use the seemingly silly position to gain intel in places Law could not go so easily, such as among the servants and attendants. Or that's how it would happen, if hes fucking chaperone wasn't an actual jester Buggy, the Star Clown, who was somehow a jester and a spy at the same time, screws up the entire mission by accidentally switching their tests, and so Law finds himself having to somehow become Goa's court jester in the name of the mission. All this while the actual jester now has to somehow get close to the king and gain his trust enough to become the royal advisor. It is much to Law's surprise that not only does the foolish king find him funny enough to have him as a jester, but that Buggy somehow earns the king's trust. And for some reason unknown to the gods, said foolish king, Luffy, seems to like Law for more than just morbid jokes.

They were, to say the least, fucked.

The sun was out up above, the TV was playing an unknown movie from three years ago, and the laptop was on as it played music along with occasional advertisement jingles.

You laid your head on your Ranze’s chest, hands around his waist, as he napped on the sofa. It was comfortable, despite the hard muscle of his chest. At least, Ranze wasn’t putting the weights of his legs or his whole body on you. Sometimes you teased him for being shorter than his teammates, but a toned body of a professional sportsman is nothing to joke off for someone whose back cracks after sitting for five hours.

Though, in the end, short body and noisy backbones aside—life was as good as it was on a lazy day.

Still, it could be better if your boyfriend was awake and let the two of your spoil each other.

It wasn’t exactly the first time for a lazy day to be spent with Ranze sleeping all while letting you turn him into a human-sized teddy bear. It wasn’t as if he didn’t get anything, he tried to explain to you one day. He got to refresh the fatigue away from his body while still got you to spoil him.

He cutely said, “I’m happy. I’m happy.” Then, you had absolutely no heart to say to him that it wasn’t ‘you feel bad for using him as a plushie’ but more of ‘please spoil this humble one too’.

“Ranze, Ranze,” you imitated your Ranze’s habit, shifting your body as you slotted your head on his shoulder. Lightly, you pressed your lips against where the skin of neck would be wasn’t it hidden by your shared, oversized tacky frog sweater. Hearing his name, Kurona Ranze hummed a sleepy reply.

“Mwhat?” he mumbled. Ranze didn’t open his eyes, but sloppily his hands raised up and try to settle comfortably around you, resting on the small of your back.

“Do you like me?” you asked mindlessly in a tone more akin to one requesting a praise more than an answer.

Unsurprisingly, Ranze’s cat like eyes revealed themselves at that. They opened groggily, yet you could a see a crinkle made out of affection between them. He looked at you, saying nothing for a moment. The clock was ticking somewhere in the background and a muffled, cheerful love song was playing in the background.

A small smile, almost sheepish and bashful, etched itself unto Kurona Ranze’s lips as he closed his eyes again, this time out of comfort rather than out of sleepiness. As natural as twinkling stars that accompany the moon every night without fail, Ranze intertwined his legs along with yours as he pulled you closer.

“Love you, love you,” Ranze said, without a hint of doubt, as if he was saying for the first time. “A lot,” he added, unlike an afterthought, but like a series of love poem jumbled by a teenager’s crush.

You giggled, “Hehe, sounds good. Me too, Ranze.”

It was another lazy day on a sofa, and it was a very good day.

Cooking and baking

A small pet peeve of mine with cooking and baking is when recipes say the container rather than the amount

Like, instead of saying "500ml of cream" you say "a pot of cream". Or "a whole can of corn". Like okay which kind of can??? What amount???? Corn comes in more than one size you can't just tell me a can. PLEASE i am begging you tell me the WEIGHT

This is especially a problem with recipes from different countries, for example America. Because your stick of butter is different to our butter. STOP SAYING STICK OF BUTTER TELL ME THE QUANTITY IN GRAMS PLEASE I HAVE A FAMILY

that being said I feel like I see this crop up in like american recipes in particular. Idk if I've ever seen a recipe in one of our cookbooks that does this....

anyway please just tell me the gosh darn weight I am dying here I have a family I JUST NEED TO KNOW THE WEIGHT
