Just about to go to bed (it is...very late) but I've been sorting out my mods and adding more to my stardew valley game, and I just...I really really want to make mods but I have neither the artistic skill nor the coding skill, only a lot of ideas and a fairly good ability to write...

#trainer cheren #trainer hilda #pignite #servine #pokemon doodles #original art #the audacity #Fire type having bitch #I’ve complained about this before but I will again #I love the snivy line too much to pick anything else #But these gyms are not kind #the singular reason it’s not been hell is bc he’s level 30 while all the opponents are all still ~22 #and I think the mod doesn’t have the exp share?#idk I haven’t got one yet #which means really fighting for my life to balance the battles between all the pokemon #Anyway if I did try to follow through with the nuzlocke I would’ve died several deaths by now #I do like that it’s more challenging tho :3 #Like some of the trainers in the routes are genuinely a bit difficult #So instead of going through them with ur eyes glazed over actually do need to pay attention to things like types/moves/etc

wholeheartedly and with as much gentleness as possible, i truly think there needs to be more discussion about downpour in the community as it is now. for a variety of reasons.

#not main tagging this right now but #some tag babbling. like #some of yall are unnecessarily cruel about downpour. seriously.#you don't have to like it but you can also stand not to tear down someone's work like this #if every word out of your mouth is just about how much you hate downpour. why are you still here?#and i mean that genuinely. it's unpleasant for you and for everyone else. and i say this as someone who still prefers vanilla's lore #at the same time i think it's a real issue where some people take downpour as gospel and assume things about other people's creative choice #even though downpour is a DLC and it's hard to make certain claims about canonicity because of that #it has been publicly acknowledged as being an official AU. multiple times. by the MSC devs themselves #downpour is a fan made passion project that was worked on for years and years before it got DLC status #it was never meant to be scrutinized in the way it is now. i think it's more appropriate to regard it as like #a really popular fanfic most of the fanbase has read #i just feel like. a lot of the community conflicts i've seen stem from downpour's messy existence as a DLC that was originally a mod #and i think it's valuable to have community discussions about that. but also this is tumblr. so. i'm probably asking for too much

missing numbers was secretly a ploy to get really really into doing worldbuilding based on this extremely specific in-universe pseudo-meta horror based in the pokemon franchise. a lot of stuff we're cooking past gens 1+2 is original content based in the spirit of the classic trainerpastas based on those games... something something its all about the natural next step and the world of Pokemon is so fundamentally fucked. idkkkk smiles

I want to replay Detroit: Become Human so fucking bad but the Steam port crashes so often that it's a miracle I managed to play through it in the first place.

Kerry: "Fuck, couldn't even tell ya when the last time was I went on a road trip." V: "Never been on one at all." Kerry: "... you kiddin'?" V: "Well, I guess you could count that half year I worked as a roadie. But that was more work than fun." Kerry: "If you're travelling with a band and don't've stories of wild escapades to tell on day two you're doing somethin' wrong." V: "That so?" Kerry: "Okay... lemme tell ya a story..."

I recently talked about how I love imagining Kerry and Vince on a long-ish road trip together, telling stories, absentmindedly holding hands, just enjoying the scenery and getting away from NC for a little while. And starting arguments with random radio DJs about old songs xD I bet Kerry has many stories to tell not only about his Samurai times but also his own tours and the shenanigans he went up to. Even Vince has a handful of travel stories to share, although he's not nearly as far-travelled as Kerry.

Where are they headed here? Not as important as they way to get there...

so i must cop to the fact that i started a completely different me1 playthrough to mess around with and do the kaiden romance and he's just SUCH a good guy. caring. sweet. keeps it real with you. steady. complex. i'm very here for it but i'm also SO glad i didn't try this romance with my original character, she would have ruined him

#i went vanguard this time and i must admit throwing people around with biotics is very fun #i'm also playing a more paragon route though i must tragically report that paragon IS way more boring if you started with renegade #renegade is just so PUNCHY. and hilarious #because i love multiple playthroughs and multiple characters i have a lot decided that i want to do with this #and also like. downloaded a mod so the playthrough after this one I can romance jack #god i love planning ahead for things i probably won't ever get to #but who knows maybe i'll follow through this time #i'm still mostly playing with my original character but kaiden really is just a great guy isn't he. it needed to be said #rosie plays games kinda okay #oh also this run is spacer/sole survivor which means if i do a third that'll probably be earthborn/war hero to round out the origins #which i think are all very fun combos for where i want to take these characters/which romances i'm interested in doing
