Omg your blog is such a relief. Every day I feel more and more like I want to distance myself from about 80% of the Solavellan community bc I am telling you it is ROUGH being into the egg and wanting to talk about him but being surrounded by people who think that everyone and their mother is out to get them. Yes, yjh did regress but he was made that way. Iykyk he is a letter from hsy to dokja so in every way he IS going to circle back to him at the end. yjh is hsy's desperation, her yearning to save Dokja.

We all have read the same texts and we know yjh is not that incapable that after 999th turn it'll take him 864 more regression turn to reach the wall again. NO! It happened that way because it is written that way and being a "character" he could not break free of that .

Arguably, yjh was “only” curious about how there seemed to be more to the story when he was in the 0th round and regressed to discover it. It wasn’t only for KDJ. In fact, it was barely for kdj. YJH accidentally saved kdj in the process of living his life.

Meanwhile, HSY intentionally and deliberately did everything for kdj’s sake right from the start.

If this is a contest about who loves who more, then consider this:

Yjh loves with conditions attached. “I must be by your side.” He is the character that’s meant to reach the reader, you are correct that’s what he is thematically…

If yjh would give up everything to reach kdj, then hsy would give up even that.

Anyways. The argument falls apart since these guys can’t exist without each other and they cannot love without one another. The novel is yoohankim and anyone who tries to remove a part of that equation in “canonverse” is not an astute reader. I do dislike how I get worked up over people who have little to no literacy… 😔 shame on me. 

I understand that other people have different interpretations but this is like reading the bible and coming to the conclusion that we should kill people. Sometimes the writing/interpretation itself isn’t bad, but the people who act on it are.

over time, he starts drinking a lot less. on the odd occasion that he does get drunk, he just lets you know and stays kind of far away (he'll miss you greatly, but your comfort is safety is far more important to him)

will come to you the next day, hung over and clingy, but most of all; so happy to see you

he hates the taste and gets 0 enjoyment off being drunk. him coming home wasted isn't something you have to worry about

if you two go back home, he'll immediately start to pamper you. he wants you to remember that you don't owe him anything. that you aren't a child stuck as a parent

Anyway this is actually perfect because I planned to talk about this topic but didn't get to it yet.

As a person with a demonized disorder but especially as a person with NPD or ASPD it will never be enough for society. You can go to therapy, you can work on yourself, you can work on healing from the trauma you that has caused you to be this way in the first place, you can realize all the unhealthy things you do that are influenced by your disorder and work on changing your behavior, in the end a big majority of society will still call you a monster. They will still equate you to a murder or abuser. They will still see you as inhumane. And all of this for a mental disorder, a disability, you have. You didn't choose to have this disorder. The reason it was formed was to protect you from whatever traumatic thing/things you were going thru in your childhood. In a better world you didn't have to go thru that but we're here now and even though a big majority of society will always see you as monster, it's important to me that you know you're not a monster, at least not in the way society thinks (shout out to all pwASPD/NPD who are nonhuman). There will always be people who are proud of you for working on your disorder, for going against the way your brain is wired. I see your struggles. You are the person who has to live with the disorder, you are the person it affects most. Yes, it will also affect others and disrespecting others is a part of both npd and aspd but that doesn't mean you don't struggle aswell.

You're the person who craves control because deep down you're scared if you don't have control the horrible things that have happened to you will repeat itself (even if you aren't really able to feel that emotion). You're the person who craves to be loved and admired because you haven't gotten enough love, attention and/or care in your childhood. You're the person who can't or has big problems building and maintaining genuine relationships. You're the person who crashes when you feel like someone is critiquing you. You're the person who has homicidal thoughts because your brain doesn't know how else to handle emotions like anger/rage, rejection and/or hate. You're the person who is dehumanized and demonized for thoughts and feelings you have a very hard time controlling because they come from a literal disorder that is most likely caused by trauma. (transID dni. I'm talking about the theroies that people can be born with ASPD and that NPD can be formed thru being overly praised and such during childhood)

Again, I see your struggles. No matter how often society tells you that you're a horrible person, I don't think so. I think you're someone who has a disorder, a disability, that fundamentally changes the way you think and feel. Having a disorder is going to impact your life and that of others. That's common sense. I will never judge a person for having homicidal ideations, for feeling the need to control others, for having delusions of grandeur or literally any other aspd/npd trait/symptom. Recovery is worth it even if motivation is hard to find and even though it's really hard to work thru everything. You're used to this way of living but I want you to know there's a life for you that's better and more vibrant.

I love all of you narcissists and antisocials. I hope you have/get a great therapist who can help you. I hope everyone in your life knows how important you are and appreciates you. I hope you find a person or people you can maintain a genuine, stable and healthy relationship with. I hope you heal from what you've gone thru and I hope you learn to handle your disorder so life gets easier for you.

Yes, I have aspd traits, and npd, I can't feel empathy or remorse, I have homicidal ideations and I don't really care about others. That doesn't make me a abuser. I'm in recovery, I will act insensitive towards others and it'll be hard for me to control certain urges, yet I am trying to go against that. The people in my life accept me for who I am. I have a fiancé who I love and who loves me. Why come that mental health matters for others who have mental illnesses/disorders caused by trauma but mine doesn't, just because my brain decided it needs aspd traits, npd (and bpd) to keep me alive thru all the childhood trauma?

I hope one day you, anon, will be smart enough to realize that I, and everyone else with ASPD, NPD or any other demonized disorder, are human. We deserve respect, recognition and love.

If Edelgard felt the way she does for Byleth on exclusively SS and CF, I could maybe see how this is a "genuine" love (insofar as a love steeped in "I may hate your race but you're special and Not Like The Other Ones because I think you're special to me" can, uh, ever be genuine, in any case). But because Edelgard still feels as strongly towards Byleth on AM and VW where she quite literally never talks to them directly in any meaningful way, it becomes waaaaay more like she's just weirdly obsessed with this person who saved her one singular time ever five years ago from an attack Edelgard set up. It makes the "love" way more forced and contrived and obviously trying to squeeze tears out of the player for standing up against the cute girly trying to murder them. Or, alternatively, it makes Edelgard come off as manipulative, saying that she just wanted to walk with Byleth and it makes her so sad to HAVE to fight Byleth because BYLETH wouldn't stand by HER - and she's saying this on AM/VW to a person she's talked to in conversation a cumulative, what? Hour? Two? Maybe a few days, being nice? Over the course of, being as absolutely generous as physically possible and not counting the five years Byleth was missing... two fucking years? She's shitting herself over fighting this stranger she doesn't fucking know? Yeah, sure buddy, whatever you say - you see what I mean?

And honestly even outside of those two routes, I think it's more that she sees Byleth as being hers rather than actually liking them for who they are. A body to stand next to her and tell her how right she is and comfort her - who doesn't have the background of "I was literally raised to think this is my only purpose in life" muddying the sincerity of the brown-nosing - who also happens to also act as The Perfect Fighter and The Perfect Strategist to actively help her get what she wants. That view of Byleth being a tool doesn't really go away unless they marry her, seen by how they quite literally get nothing for all they've done for Edelgard should they go unmarried to a noble (guess they just weren't meritable enough once their use to her was done).

As well as how much more Edelgard doesn't like Byleth disagreeing with her or otherwise going against her flow than pretty much anyone else in the game - you lose supports points if you don't think the Black Eagle Strike Force name she made is good, she quickly denies the notion that Byleth isn't detached from others/emotions and insists they are just like she is, she gives them the same callous and thoughtless words she was apparently given once in her life while they are in the midst of mourning their recently murdered father so that they get over it already and get back to being useful to her (directly saying she will only reach out her hand when it's time for HER to move forward, not when BYLETH heals from WATCHING THEIR DAD DIE IN THEIR FUCKING ARMS MAYBE A WEEK AGO). She never treats Byleth kindly unless they do everything she wants, which like. Isn't love???? At all????

There's just this... weirdly possessive air Edelgard has around Byleth that always threw me off, especially with how easily she admits to have been willing to kill them so far into CF and how readily she cuts ties with them the second the fighting's done (which is particular because how just how clingy she was to Byleth everywhere else - you know during all that time Byleth had a use to her). Incorporating that into being an intentional part of her character is certainly interesting, but not in a way that's flattering to the idea of Edelgard genuinely being in love with Byleth lmao.

Personally tho, even disregarding almost everything else, the simple explanation is that I don't think you can really sit there and say you love someone while openly hating part of their racial heritage. Wild thought, I know lmao
