And that’s the rue, isn’t it? Now that the dam has been cracked wide open, Sanji can no longer deny that there’s something going on in his chest about Zoro. It’s far deeper than the instinct to want. He should scoop it out, bloodied and battered, and examine the wretched insides until he knows every dripping, visceral vein of the emotion. Only once he knows the ingredients that make up this desire can he filter out the parts he doesn’t like and move on with his life.

Of course that means he’ll have a gaping hole in his chest from excising all he did but that’s easily refillable.
