i feel like if binghe was shen yuan’s shizun, they would have to live in the same house by necessity. binghe’s disciple keeps running off into the wilderness with no regard to personal safety; binghe needs to keep an eye on the child, or he’ll get punched by the sect leader and his vicious wife for neglect. the kid’s slippery!!!

meanwhile shen yuan has multiple crises and reaches enlightenment in several matters on his very first day in shizun’s house, which prompts him to run away more. this ends up exacerbating the issue because shizun just floated the idea of tying him to the house in jest and shen yuan very much didn’t know he was capable of such filthy, aberrant thoughts.

Misplaced hatred

I always thought that if Nightmare got to see the younger version of Dream he wouldn’t be able to contain his hatred regardless, only to realize how misplaced his hatred is and that he fucked up later down the line
