Weekend project completed!

I bought a new hook knife recently for the much recommended Deepwood Ventures. I decided I wanted to make my own handle for it out of walnut with some grip details and it turned out to be very comfortable. Then a quick and dirty leather sheath to keep it safe.

I will say out of the box the edge was already wicked sharp! Can't wait to use it...

Forreal?''#(Meanwhile Robin is sweating bullets like ''I called his favorite vegetable a FRUIT right in his FACE he's going to KILL ME'')#Robin grew extra feet from the bottom of her feet to reach the counter and that actually isn't me trying to explain bad art away #In the original Papadile comic there was a panel of Robin doing the dishes with extra feet to reach the sink but I cut it out #(It was a stress relief comic I did not feel like drawing a complicated background in detail) (BUT YES I THOUGHT OF IT)#Nico Robin Age 11 is *more* than capable of cooking Crocodile just does not trust her with his food. At least not yet #She did start doing the dishes unprompted and continues to do so (mostly out of fear). Croc told her she didn't have to but allows it #IDK a lot of people seem to headcanon Crocodile as incapable of cooking and like. Surely Mr ''I don't trust people'' knows how to cook #Like he doesn't have to be a master chef or anything but and maybe he enjoys not HAVING to cook (pain in the ass with one hand + knife/hook #But surely he can cook decent enough. Why is he at some random prep school? He’s already got the hook hand, so Peter Pan has already cut it off meaning he’s been to Neverland, also he says he’s a captain so like why the fuck are you here

We get this scene also immediately after Neal was ready to abandon Emma and flea to Canada. Emma volunteers to get the watches and help him fence them to keep Neal with her. She cannot be abandoned again. (And, she will be in that storyline very soon.)

Meanwhile, Hook has spent a bit of time climbing a beanstalk with her and decides that he will be the bait. Emma still seems stunned he does it, because she expected him to run the moment she saw the size of the giant - when he fully realised the danger he would have to face. And, he doesn't.

And, this taunt he yells at the giant? It wasn't just baiting the giant. If we know one thing about Hook - he is willing to be killed in this moment. He was ready for the sword at the hands of the Dark One and hasn't quite found a reason to live beyond his revenge. He does think he is the worst human around and should be the one to die in her place, if that is where this adventure must end.

I've been thinking about how white london probably has different kinds of physical affection to red and grey, I can't imagine hugging being common among people who are casual friends like it is in a lot of places here (I'm talking from the pov of someone from an area not too far away from real london so i get that this isnt the case everywhere lol) hugging requires a certain trust that the person you are hugging is doing anything nefarious with their hands - like stabbing you in the back for instance... so i like to think that in white london where trust is about as thin on the ground as magic, hugging is a massive declaration of trust in which you may as well tell the other you love them.

on an additional note it makes me wonder about what affections would be commonplace, would a kiss on the cheek be a more common greeting to someone you care for? would people give a short bow as a greeting towards an acquaintance? (both things very common in many places in this world too so not exactly strange?) or are people simply all-or-nothing with their affections, giving all their affection to one or two people who have their absolute trust and not showing any at all otherwise?

when it comes to greeting a stranger i was taught in my martial arts classes to introduce myself with both hands visible and to shake hands with both of my hands as a sign of respect within the culture so i wonder if that kind of action would be common in makt - dont hide your hands when trying to gain someones trust or they will think you are hiding something...

#part if this is because i wanted holland to receive a hug and then i wondered how he and then his world would respond to such a thing #ended with the hilarious mental image of kell giving him a hug and him being like “damn okay never knew you felt that way”#but that is very much beside the point #ive been spinning this in my head for ages and ive wanted to put it down somewhere #i love white london and know they are just normal people albeit very desperate to survive #and i can imagine a different world having slightly different ideas about affection and how and where to show it #maybe they wouldnt in public in case someone saw and used their loved one against them as people have paranoia drilled in from childhood #perhaps people hooking up in an alleyway would do it holding a knife against their temporary lovers thigh as a precaution or warning #so many thought such terrible ability to write them well if i had the patience for writing id be on ao3 but here we are #and im making memes and ramble posts instead lol #white london #adsom #shades of magic #holland vosijk

Y'all Astarion would definitely propose to his little consort at the reunion party. Whether it be on the whim so everyone is paying attention to them or he planned it all along?? I won't lie and say he's probably been thinking about it for awhile. He does make them a vampire bride or at least it is very much so implied and has had some talk about marriage, EX: If you accept Bhaal, Astarion will say Bhaal's army is a wonderful dowry. Although I do think he has been planning it, HE DEFINITELY would do it on a whim at the reunion party just so everyone can see him and his lover side by side, thriving. <3

#knitblr #knitting #plushies #bunny plush #ffvii #buster sword #origami #MMMMMMMM HE'S SO CUTE I LOVE HOW HE TURNED OUT #one of his ears is just stubbornly flopping over but i love it #it gives him personality :3 #the sword is a utility knife blade i found on the floor and used a band saw to cut the angle on it #i clamped two little scraps of walnut down around it with glue to hold it in place and used a knife to carve it into sword hilt shape #got green aventurine beads from michaels and squeezed them in a clamp until they popped in half #and then glued two halves on either side #and used 1mm black leather cord to wind up the grip #the harness was done in linen stitch with some scrap brown wool i had laying around #i put a neodymium disc magnet in the little pouch on his back to hold the sword with #it had to be strong enough to hold it THROUGH the knit layer #and it's just hook and eye closures in the front #i left the ones on the shoulder straps visible because i thought it made it look a little more official-soldiery #overall i'm pretty happy with it!!#i can put the bunny pattern link in a reblog/reply if anyone wants it #dawnposts #bunster sword
