INCREASE YOUR N.E.A.T. Neat stands for non exercise activity thermogenesis. So, basically any daily activities we do when not exercising or sleeping. It's important for you to have a high N.E.A.T because it can be the difference between having a sedentary lifestyle or being moderately active. 
Ways to increase NEAT is to do more heavier chores everyday (vacuuming, mopping, dusting), taking the longer routes when walking, stand for 10 minutes each hour, pace back and forth while calling someone, march while you’re brushing your teeth, etc. 
DRINK HERBAL TEAS. Herbal teas can help you in a variety of areas of life, and are a great substitute for other processed beverages. 
ADD SUNLIGHT IN YOUR MORNING. Exposing yourself to sunlight early in the day helps with resetting the circadian rhythm, which in return helps for waking up easier and going to sleep easier. 
EAT WITHOUT DISTRACTIONS. You’ll savour your food so much more and it’ll be easier to tell when you’re satisfied. 
CREATE A PLAYLIST FOR WHEN YOU WIND DOWN. Once you get into the habit of listening to this playlist, it’ll become like a trigger to your body that it’s time to sleep because listening to that playlist  should be followed by settling into bed. 
 REGULARLY GO TO YOUR GP. Especially if you’re feeling a bit out of it. It is always better to make those regular visits and catch something before it becomes out of hand. 
STOP WAKING UP SO EARLY. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but waking up at 5am is unnecessary if not required. While I do believe that waking up earlier does have benefits, that extra hour of sleep probably has more. 
IF YOU’RE STRUGGLING, TAKE IT SLOWER. In this day and age, we don’t have time to process a lot of things. Everything is so fast paced, that if we fall behind, we tend to feel less than. 
Especially if you’re someone who can’t keep pace with the crowd due to disabilities or mental health. Take things at your own pace, and do what you can will yourself to do. 
GET SPIRITUAL. Lots of studies show that people who commit themselves to their beliefs are a lot happier in life than those who don’t. This doesn’t mean that you have to commit to a religion yet, but I would explore your spirituality side and see what  resonates with you. 
WEAR YOUR SPF. Skin cancer is no joke, and our earth is only getting hotter. Protect yourself, including your body! 
SURROUND YOURSELF WITH GOOD PEOPLE. People who radiate love and are always looking for the goodness around them, that rubs off on you and in return you’ll develop similar traits. Being with them will stimulate growth in all aspects of your life. 
I'm not telling anyone to ‘fix’ anyone, but it means a lot to other people if you can be that person in their life. It's a very rewarding and fulfilling lifestyle.  
TAKE MAKEUP BREAKS REGULARLY. Give your skin a break from products, and ideally take a week off each month to spend it makeup free. You’re saving time and your skin. 
ADD IN FRUITS, HERBS OR LEMON IN YOUR WATER. This will help with extra hydration and improve digestion. 
PRIORITISE FIBRE. As much as protein is good for you, fibre has just as much importance but it's not as heavily prioritised. Ideally, half of your meal should be fibres. However, that can be a hard change for some people, so start with having it on the side. 
It's great if you can incorporate ‘hidden’ fibre into your meals as well!
CURATE YOUR SPACE TO SUIT YOU. Add in little notes of reminders or quotes, place around photos or awards of your achievements, remove anything that impacts you negatively. You want the area that you’re in 24/7 to support that growth, not stifle it. 
Keep your area clean and decluttered as well. Try to minimise the amount of stuff that you have. You only need one of each thing, two is one too many. Having too much clutter affects the clarity of your mind.

A self love night time routine 🌙🧸🪞🤍✨
Your night time routine is all about dedicating time to yourself. Your routine should be tailored to what makes YOU feel relaxed, loved, and cared for. You can add or modify any of these steps to make it perfect for you.
Cleanse & skin care routine. This isn’t just about hygiene. Cleansing your skin can also cleanse the day's stresses away. Remove makeup (if you wear it). Use a gentle cleanser. Apply toner, serums, or treatments if you use them. Moisturize to keep your skin hydrated.
Spend a few minutes decluttering and organizing so you can go to sleep with a clear mind.
Prepare for tomorrow. Pick out your clothes, prepare your lunch and create your to do list so you wake up with a plan of action.
Set aside electronics, especially those that might interrupt your relaxation (phones, laptops). Put them on the other side of the room, or another room to avoid distractions.
Spend a few minutes journaling or meditating on your day. Write down three things you're grateful for as well as your achievements or progress.
Make a herbal tea or warm milk. Stay away from caffeine, they will interfere with your sleep.
If you enjoy baths, now might be the time to have one with calming salts or essential oils. If you prefer showers, use this time to enjoy the sensation of the water, rather than rushing through it.

have you tried to glow up before, only to fail to see results, feel unmotivated and give up? realise that you don’t actually have the energy or motivation or discipline to suddenly change your life? this guide is meant to help you glow up at your own pace - treat it as a checklist or pick a few tasks from each section! whatever speed you move at remember that any progress is positive. feel proud of yourself angel - 2025 is your year!
PREPARING ⋆.˚
research, research, research!! this is the best way to actually create a plan/guide and have it stick for you. here are some of my planning video recommendations:

after you’ve watched some videos, read some posts and articles now it’s time to start specifically planning for YOU, here are my favourite things to do:
make a vision board.
buy or source what you’ll need (e.g a gym membership, a waterbottle). treat yourself as much as you can!
clean and tidy your space.
sort through your drawers, clothes and so on. donate what you can and clear some space out.
make a playlist full of motivational songs and the energy you want to bring into the new year.
have an everything shower - feel your cleanest and best for your new goals.
make a pinterest board with a section for every specific goal you have.
make a planner or organiser. write down all of your goals, ideas and plans. start journalling about how you will achieve them and how the you of the future will look having achieved them all!
research and find apps, youtubers or guides specific for your goals that can continue to help you feel motivated and energised.

HEALTH ⋆.˚
your health should be your priority this year! you cant glow up mentally, physically or spiritually unless your body is functioning at its best. here are some essential health focused habits to adopt so you can be your best in every single way:
walk a minimum of 5k steps a day.
drink 2 litres of water a day.
stop skipping meals! having three meals a day ensures that your body is running at its best and functioning how it should.
at least two servings of fruit or veggies per meal.
adding vitamins or supplements in your diet when you can.
yoga every morning and evening.
outside time every day.
find a workout plan that works for you and your lifestyle.
try to eat cleaner, avoid super sugary foods, fast food, anything that stops your from feeling your best.
plan your meals in advance.
have an early night - get at least 7-8 hours.
reduce your caffeine where possible, try herbal teas, matcha and so on.
emphasise a balanced diet and plate.
practice meditation and breathing.
stretch before and after every workout.
stop using screens at least an hour before you go to bed.
cook more - stop buying takeout or ready meals as much as possible.
have rest days, your body and muscles need some time to recover.
change your attitude! workout because you love your body not because you hate it.

to glow up properly i really believe you need to have a mental glow up as well! your mental health and wellbeing is so deeply important and such a good thing to prioritise as much as possible. here are my suggestions to help you get a mental shift/change:
read every day. set a goal and achieve it.
journal every day.
watch more long form content - avoid short form.
plan your future/dream life, what mental goals will you need to achieve?
socialise more when possible, surround yourself with good and rewarding people.
learn a new hobby or skill, such as learning a new language!
become more curious, ask yourself why. learn about what interests you.
visit libraries more.
set your school device up to maximise your academic productivity!
learn to love and cherish your alone time.
take mental health walks.
find podcasts and audiobooks that interest you.
set time limits on apps like tiktok and so on that suck you in too much, they are time wasters.
read the news/news articles mores.
find a calendar and prep your days and weeks ahead of time.
set up a notion!
follow creators who inspire you positively and are healthy for you to engage with.
cut out bad habits and people.
fix your sleep schedule, dedicate your evenings just for you!
become more ‘cultured’ visit museums, read more and educate yourself.

Ahhh domestic House Guest stuff below. I love my little plushies so much. Im playing dollhouse w both of them. 💗💗💗
🍰 Julianne likes cooking!! She just doesn't have all the energy to do it but she makes beef curry, salmon sinigang, bistek tagalog, and macaroni soup. There's a bunch of other things she likes but she'll keep it to those so Sam's dietary needs are met. She also bakes but then again time is so limited she can maybe only bake cookies once a month.
🍰 Sam does most of the cleaning for both house stays and apartment stays. Julianne does clean too but she's more on dish and bathroom clean duty than sweeping. They do have assignments though so it's at least fair for the both of them.
🍰 gwuhh ah makeup removal and massaging each other ...Julianne always keeps/brings ginger patches and herbal oils to relieve muscle and head pain..Sam keeps micellar water in her room so she can wipe off Julianne's mascara or eyeliner.
🍰 they watch TV most of the time together either watching reality TV or movies but they also just like parallel play. They also take turns reading to one another chapters of their favorite books. When Julianne has to tell stories in Elementary, she does the same at home before bed hehe
🍰 i dunno. Sam thinks she's only doing this so she won't be an object of pity to everyone after Nigel. But having this makes her feel better. Lighter. It's a strange feeling to have a body in your hands- untouched and not torn. Lovingly caressing it. Then it feels better to live this way than die alone. She remembers why she stayed with those girls. She remembers what its like to yearn but not to love wholly.
And life feels a lot more idyllistic this way.

🌞 Light Makeup: For the day

☆ To prepare my skin I apply a light layer of moisturizer on my forehead, cheeks and around the eyes, then I refresh my face with a little cotton wool soaked in rose water, then I apply the foundation and a semi-fluid herbal cream that hydrates the skin.

☆ With a tissue I remove the excess cream with light touches on the face, then I apply a very light powder with cotton that gives the skin a natural transparency.

☆ The eye makeup is light; I highlight the upper eyelids with a black pencil and with a dark brown pencil I outline the eyes a little outside the base of the eyelashes. A touch of pink or soft red lips finishes the makeup. Voila!

🌙 Heavy makeup: For the night

☆ Above all, you must prepare the skin so that it is soft. Again I apply my moisturizing cream and do a light massage, 20 minutes later the cream is completely absorbed, I lightly rub my face and neck with 2 cotton balls soaked with an alcohol-free herbal product. It's a little trick to keep your skin elastic, rested and fresh for several hours.

☆ I apply the foundation I use lightly, apply it to my forehead, cheeks and chin and then spread it all over my face evenly but without stretching the skin! The powder I use is colorless to highlight eye makeup.

☆ I line my eyes with black pencil, sometimes I use gel kohl: I draw a straight line on my upper eyelid highlighting the corners, I line my eyes in black a little outside the natural lash line, I fill in with dark brown pencil my eyebrows, before applying cosmetics to my upper and lower eyelashes I first powder them and then apply mascara. To shade the eyes, I have a very personal technique: I dilute a little blue or light green shadow with a little cream and spread this paste with a large, flat brush over the eyelids then apply powder on top. The lipstick is very light; natural pink color, this to highlight the eye makeup. And ready!

Klaus is very good with a pen/calligraphy and yes that translates to eyeliner. he doesn't usually have the time for it, but he'll make time on special occasions and holy days. <insert that picture of two lesbians putting makeup on here>
Kat speaks upwards of six languages and claims she has no idea anymore what language she thinks in. "english" or whatever language is spoken in the Holy City is not her mothertongue but she is fully fluent
Constantine's smoked since they were a teenager, but they're pretty good at limiting themselves to one or two a week at most. They also prefer clove or other herbal cigarettes to regular ones, when they can get them
Ira has never left the Holy City in their life. They simply don't have the money or time to travel. However, they've done a lot of reading about other cities/countries and have a running list of places they'd love to visit, mostly populated areas and man-made architecture over natural things
Val loves puzzles, both literal jigsaw puzzles and those little wooden brainteaser toys where you have to detach the rings or remove the special block. if rubik's cubes existed they'd have one on them at all times, though they'd never bother to learn 'how' to solve it, they'd just spend hours rotating the blocks until it works

Day 3 of @cirrus-ghoulette's whump month!
Summary: After a small crisis, Marlowe visits the infirmary in hopes of sneaking away with some bandages. However, he wasn’t expecting a certain ghoul to be there. 
Using this day to finish off a chapter of an unposted fic starring my Bishop OC Marlowe!

For me, this is just a cathartic way of dealing with stuff.

The night shift at the infirmary was no fun, that’s what Aether had decided within his first few months of being summoned.
Now, years later, he still despised the long, arduous shift of little meaning or action. Sometimes there’d be the odd drunk sibling arriving after a stunt gone wrong, or to recover from their overindulgence, and even more rarely: a fever that required immediate intervention. 
It had been months since the last event, and since taking over this shift from another sibling who was otherwise ‘incapacitated’, Aether had already gotten through every task his routine allowed. He’d arrive, check any patients left from the day (none), check the supplies (apparently things were going missing), check the order lists, tidy whatever mess was left about and then return to his desk for hours of reading. He was nearly as well-read as Cirrus at this point.
To a degree, he wondered just why he was posted at the infirmary. Though it was likely someone to do with the clergy bothering to learn little of their essences and hobbies. Again, Mountain would have been better suited; he was responsible for a lot of the tinctures and balms and herbal remedies lining the medicine shelves of the small infirmary… though Aether figured it had something to do with the giant's lack of bedside manners and tall build. According to a drugged up Sister of Sin, Aether was far more palatable to wake up to. The memory crinkled his eyes from a smile as he tried to focus on his book; a historical fiction novel he’d ordered from one of those online second-hand stores. Every month or two, himself, Cirrus and Mountain scrolled through endless pages until they found something new to read, as there was only so much entertainment on offer at the Abbey grounds. 
Yet something set him on edge, and had his mind wandering.
Marlowe. 
The exhausted Bishop who smelt of blood, spirits and pain - the man that wore the weight of the world on his shoulder-
-came stumbling through the door, stopping like a deer in the headlights as soon as he saw Aether’s eyes on him. 
His heart rate was dangerously high, his breathing labored and every movement had him wincing in pain. Aether paused behind the check-in-desk-turned-nurse-station.
“Marlowe.” He said blatantly, knowing he had to play this very gently if he didn’t want the man to flee like a spooked cat.
“Uh- hi- hello.” He slurred, caught between eyeing the door and the cabinet where the bandages were kept. He was dressed in plaid pyjama pants, a hoodie and socks. His hands were jammed into the front pocket: the metallic scent of blood wafted from one dark sleeve. He gulped. 
“What can I help you with?” Aether offered, brows pinched in worry. He seemed out of it; a sweat breaking out on his forehead. His papal makeup, not yet removed, had been smudged with what Aether hoped weren’t tears.
“I- I- need- I need- shit.” He ducked his head, obscured by the large hood as he stammered and shifted on his feet. Aether quietly got up and moved towards one of the old beds. 
“Hey, it’s alright. Can you come and sit down? You look like you’re gonna pass out.” 
“M’ no, no It’s s’fine.” He slurred, shaking his head as he stepped against the wall, he nearly lost his footing on the way. At this, the ghoul strode towards him, stopping a short distance away. 
“It’s fine. Sorry, I’m-“ Aether just had enough time to catch him as he listed forward, face ashen. He brought Marlowe to his broad chest, he was awake, but unaware and compliant. The quintessence ghoul couldn’t help but smell the alcohol on his breath. 
“Just breathe through it, Marlowe. C’mere, I’ve got you.” Aether prompted, smoothing his hand down the bishop's bony spine. 
“Come and sit down?” He asked, adding the next with a grin: “It’ll be comfier than passing out on the floor.” 
After a moment of consideration; where he looked to and from the door a few times, Marlowe shrugged off Aether's hand, and shuffled over on socked feet, just about able to remain upright as he perched on the edge of the bed. He was not about to allow himself the luxury of laying down as his heart was still racing; his right leg shaking up and down as he barely suppressed his panic. Wordlessly, Aether pulled a chair over to sit in front of him. 
“I smell blood, Marlowe.” Aether pushed gently, holding a hand out. “Can I see?” 
“It- I can do it myself - I just need some bandages - please.” 
Tears were dripping down his face. He shook as though in the throes of shock, and Aether was concerned he actually was. 
“You know I can’t do that.” Aether pressed gently, placing a stilling hand on the bishop's bouncing knee, though his whole body continued to tremble. 
“Please.” Marlowe’s voice was barely above a whisper; a hint of alcohol on his breath. 
“Hey.” The ghoul responded in an equally-as-small voice. He didn’t continue until Marlowe made fleeting eye contact with him. The poor man was exhausted. 
“You looked after my pack, right?” He said. “Sunny told me you offered to finish their job because they were feeling unwell. You also took a beating for us when those siblings got too harsh with their words. You made Swiss feel better when he was struggling to practice… hell you even passed out after summoning Infernal Essences for the abbey ghouls. You work yourself to the bone; we hardly see you eat or even relax. I’ve only heard pieces of what you went through but you don’t have to do it alone. You don’t have to seek out self destruction, I promise. 
You look out for my pack, so let me look out for you.” 
Aether held his hand out again: “I promise it’s okay.” 
A minute later, Marlowe held his arm out, and the ghoul internally rejoiced. Aether took the skinny appendage in his large hand and carefully pulled away the leather glove Marlowe insisted on wearing. He then pushed the sleeve of his hoodie up. What he saw gave him pause. 
Deep, poorly-healed burn scars covered his arm from the back of his hand, all the way to his upper arm. Pink and pale mottled flesh pulled across muscles and tendons; sections of pale skin broken and separated like dried mud in summer. Along the scar were further cuts. One freely bled beneath a wad of tissue taped to it; cut too deep as other small ones, haphazard in their placement, beaded blood to the surface. White scars lined the mottled flesh, running from the wrist to beyond the bunched sleeve. 
Marlowe didn’t say anything, his drooping eyes cast to a point beyond Aether as he struggled to stay awake. 
Silently, Aether got to work. First pulling a pair of vinyl gloves on, and preparing the bandages he’d need. He carefully peeled away the makeshift plaster from Marlowes skin, noting the disturbing lack of pain registration. He worked as quickly as possible, yet kept his touch gentle. He apologized when Marlowe hissed at the antiseptic wipe and the accompanying butterfly bandages, but offered praise as he passed rolls of bandages over his arm. 
“There.” He hummed, taping down the last of the wraps. His touch lingered, offering a light pulse of quintessence energy to promote healing, yet this only exhausted the Bishop further. 
Throughout the ordeal, his shoulders shook and his chest heaved with the effort of keeping his tears to a minimum. Aether looked at him with sad eyes; reaching up to cup his stubbly chin in his calloused hand. It was a silent plea for Marlowe to open up, but the bishop had desires of further clandestinity. 
“How long?” Aether asked. Marlowe shook his head. Too long, then. 
“No one was supposed to see.” Marlowe rasped, in a voice so petulant and timid. He dipped his head to one side, embarrassed. The quintessence ghoul took that as his queue to pull up the hood and roll down his sleeve, for the first time he was at a loss at what to do.  
“Just… please don’t tell anyone.” He sniffed, and despite his better judgment, Aether knew he had to make a promise. 
“I won’t.” He said sincerely, brushing his thumb across the bishop's cheek. “I promise.”

Cheapest poor girl survival skincare
Johnson and johnson head to toe tear free baby wash and shampoo. Good facewash, not great. Removed most makeup but not great on waterproof. Multi purpose, safe for hair, body and private parts.
Witch hazel as a toner. Can be used on your body, good for small wounds and bug bites too. Safe for acne.
Nivea creme as an all over moisturizer. You wont need a separate body, eye cream and face moisturizer ever again, this does it all and some have even used it in there hair although my hair is a bit too thin for that.
Africas best ultimate herbal oil as an all over body, nail, bath and hair oil. Not great for face. If you cant afford a conditioner, this pairs well with the johnsons baby wash as a leave in conditioner. I prefer applying it to wet hair as it can usually doesnt absorb well into dry hair. Makes the hair soo sooft!
