being put together pretty⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🍨💓
TAKE CARE OF THE BASE ;
and by base i mean ur body. before u do anything how do u look and feel? keeping up with ur hygiene and taking care of urself properly makes a world of a difference and its what we should be doing first and foremost. make sure that ur base is ready and pretty cuz it makes u look a billion times more put together. some ways to take care of ur base include ->
♡ using tongue scraper and flossing (oral health maintenance) ♡ showering 1-2x a day and moisturizing with lotion to stay soft ♡ moving ur body everyday to keep ur body tea ♡ sleeping 8-10 hours a night
THE TRINITY ;
the trinity of being put together is hair, face, and scent. so lets start with ur hair. when ur hair is done you IMMEDIATELY look a billion times better. make sure that ur hair is done beautifully and you've already made urself look more put together. as long as ur hair and face look pretty and u smell good, you're basically set.
♡ doing ur edges makes ur hair look more put together ♡ watch content creators who have similar hair textures as u so that then u can learn cute hairstyles and tricks on how to maintain ur hair
now unto ur face, make sure that ur face is washed and fresh. make sure that ur makeup is done prettily. know what works for ur face and master it through practice. if u dont have a lot of time, curl ur lashes and put on a bit of mascara in a wiggling motion (or just get ur lashes done) put on some bb cream and some lipgloss and ur good to go.
♡ some of my favorite mascaras are the essence lash princess curl and volume mascara, maybelline lash sensational and the two faced damn girl 24-hour volumizing and lengthening mascara
♡ some of my favorite lipglosses include the nyx butter gloss (literally all of them), any of the VS secret glosses, the nyx FAT lip oil, and the kiko milano 3D hydra lipgloss (05)
and last but certainly not least is our scent. so make sure that ur taking a shower everyday and using deodorant, sweet smelling soaps, creams and nectars and a yummy perfume. put perfume on ur pulse points (don't rub) and put perfume on ur clothes.
some more things that help me look more put together is things like getting my nails done, accessorizing adequately in my outfits and opting for matching sets/tracksuits.

Hi Besties, Let’s Talk BLUSH ☺️
Welcome to "The Black Feminine Society" blog, where we celebrate the strength, beauty, and power of black women. Today, we want to encourage our community to embrace the transformative power of blush and how it can add a touch of softness and femininity to their appearance. In this article, we will explore different shades of blush that work beautifully on medium to deep skin tones, and why it's time to let your radiance shine.
Finding the Perfect Shade:
When choosing blush, it's important to consider your skin tone to ensure a flattering and harmonious effect. For medium to deep skin tones, opt for shades that complement your undertones and enhance your natural beauty. Rich berry tones, warm corals, and earthy terracotta shades tend to work wonders for these complexions. Experimenting with different shades will help you discover the perfect blush that brings out your unique radiance.
Our top recommendations for BW:
• Pat Mcgrath “Divine Blush” (Powder)
( Price Point: $$ ) Dont worry besties! We did the work for you here's the direct link: Click Here!
• Fenty Beauty “Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush”
( Price Point: $$ ) Dont worry besties! We did the work for you here's the direct link: Click Here !
• Colourpop "Pressed Powder Blush"
( Price Point: $ ) Dont worry besties! We did the work for you here's the direct link: Click Here !
The Subtle Elegance of Soft and Feminine:
The soft and feminine look that blush brings to your appearance is truly captivating. It adds a touch of elegance and grace, allowing you to exude confidence in every stride. As black women, we have always been at the forefront of strength and resilience. By incorporating blush into our beauty arsenal, we are embracing the duality of our power and softness, redefining societal norms, and reclaiming our right to feel beautiful in our own skin.
Enhancing Your Features:
Blush has the remarkable ability to transform your face, creating a natural flush that enhances your best features. By applying blush to the apples of your cheeks, you can instantly add a youthful and vibrant touch to your appearance. The soft and feminine glow that blush provides can help highlight your cheekbones, define your face shape, and create a harmonious balance that accentuates your unique beauty.

Embracing Self-Expression:
Makeup is a powerful tool for self-expression, and blush allows you to explore and showcase different facets of your personality. Don't be afraid to experiment with different intensities and finishes to find the perfect blush that resonates with your style and mood. Whether it's a soft, barely-there flush or a vibrant pop of color, embrace the opportunity to express yourself authentically.

How to give the appearance of bigger eyes and lips.
Bigger lips 💋
Volufiline promotes lipid storage, leading to an increase of a diposite volume in fatty tissue, resulting in plump and fuller lips.
- A reddit comment
Hyaluronic acid is used to reduce these lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging. Hyaluronic acid can make your lips fuller and younger-looking.
“take the hyaluronic acid serum you use for your face and apply it to your lips, following it up with a generous layer of a rich and occlusive balm. Choosing a thick lip balm is key, possibly one made from Vaseline” - vogue
*slightly* over-line the lips to to give the appearance of bigger lips using natural shades to line the lips.
Example:
Bigger eyes 👀
(Long) Lashes can make your eyes look bigger and more youthful. You should focus on both the bottom and top lashes with lash extensions or mascara.
Example: Manwha lashes
Winged eyeliner can help elongate and draw attention to the eyes, helping them seem bigger. Drawing with a less harsher colour like anything close but softer than black to place in the inner corners of the eye, making it more sharp.
Highlighting the inner corners will bring focus to the eye area.
Lowe set eye brows which are slightly thin will also give the appearance of bigger eyes (it’s okay if you don’t have them tho!). Fill brows in as normal.
Example:
Eyeshadow placement will also help on emphasising the roundness of the eye. Adding more emphasis on your under eye fat by drawing aegyo sal and darkening the lower-lash line especially on the outer corner by using a dark brown or a softer colour than black. If you want, you can also darken the lid near to the upper lash line with a subtle warm brown or similar colour to the bottom lash line.
Blush placement should be placed on the apples of the cheeks to bring focus near the eyes.
Example:
XOXO

What natural makeup do you like?
For the rest, I focus on a little shimmer, just a bit of bronzer, plenty of berry blush, a glossy pink lip, and I brighten my eyes with dark liner and plenty of lashes.

Natural Soft Glam Makeup Tips:
Find your undertone (cool, neutral or warm)
Choose a signature everyday nude pink or brown lipstick (a color close to your natural lip color)
For warm undertones, go for peachy shades
For cool undertones, go for mauve shades
For melanated lips, use a darker brown liner to outline then apply lipstick
Wear lip gloss! But not too much
Wear shorter, lighter lashes
Use softer colors for eyeshadow (light pink, browns)
Get the correct concealer color! You don't want white ashy look under your eyes.
Don't overdo the foundation, bronzer or contour because it'll make you look cakey
Go for a no makeup, makeup look
Don't overdraw your eyebrows (natural looking brows)
Avoid over concealing around the eyebrows
Use thin eyeliner techniques
Use a reasonable amount of highlighter especially on the cheeks. Make it look like a natural glow
Remember less is more!

what "glow up tips" do you have that (actually) work?
I know some of the common ones like "ooh drink water" and whatever, which I already do (I try to eat healthy most days, drink water every day, exercise 5 days a week, etc.)
And I understand that while all these work, I was looking for more short-term glow up tips, like how to glow up your hair/makeup etc. if that makes sense.
So I guess what advice do you have for a "overnight" glow up (quote unquote)?
Love the blog!!
Hi love! Thank you so much <3
Yes, totally get what you're saying (and that's great – it's all just so important, honestly). Here are some of my "overnight glow-up hacks" if we shall call them that, which I believe fit into this category:
For your hair, use a mask on your hair the night before you want it to look extra shiny and smooth (I use this HASK one – it's $2-3 and works like magic). Wash it in cold water, and let it fully dry (even for a little while after using heat to dry it!) before putting it up or playing with your style at all
Dermaplane your face, tweeze your eyebrows and then put on an extra hydrating face lotion to lock in glowing, fresh-looking skin (I use Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré, it's a "dupe" for La Mer's famous face cream)
Exfoliate your entire body with a sugar scrub and use an ultra-hydrating body lotion (I use Tree Hut's Coco Colada scrub and Uriage's Xemose Lipid-Replenishing Anti-Irritation Cerat moisturizer)
Do a face massage/use a facial or body massage ball to depuff your face
An orgasm is a natural lip-plumper
Use Vaseline/Homeoplasmine to hydrate under your eyes + your lips
Apply concealer as a primer under your eyeliner (use a brush to thinly trace it before) setting powder/face powder under your eyes to "lock in" your eyeliner so it doesn't smudge (or at least way less)
Layer a cream blush with a powder blush over the top right away your cheekbones for a glowy, more lifted face
Outline your brows and lips with concealer with set powder over the top to avoid brow or lip product smudging
To help your lip color last all day: Apply a coat of lipstick, and blot excess with a tissue. Then, apply another coat and blot the excess again
Hope this helps xx

your guide to casual glam⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🍰
your absolute go-to guide to master the art of casual glam and be glamorous even when ur not expected to be, bcuz glamor is a LIFESTYLE…💬🎀
ATTIRE ;
♡ fluffy slippers or princessy slides
♡ matching lounge sets
a matching lounge set is a MUST have for casual glamour in ur day to day life. they're perfect for just running errands, doing ur pretty girl maintenance and even just lounging around the house. they instantly make u look put together. bonus points if u accessorize accordingly…💬🎀
♡ velour/juicy couture tracksuits
♡ long flowy robes around the house
♡ bloomer shorts are absolutely adorable when ur lounging around, they make u look like a literal DOLL
MAKEUP ;
when i think of casually glamorous makeup looks i think very victoria's secret, very natural looking makeup thats kind of dewy, but has hints of glam. whether thats a shimmery gloss or a winged eyeliner…💬🎀
♡ glam makeup is all about creating a look thats not doing too much. u can capture this look by mixing in the tiniest bit of moisturizer into ur foundation. doing so will sheer out the pigment of the foundation -> resulting in less coverage BUT that gives u a skin like finish which is perfect for the casual glam.
♡ for ur eyes go for more nude/muted colors and finish with the tiniest bit of something glittery for that shimmery, glamorous look. a SLIGHTLY shimmery eye with a nude base + a winged eyeliner will EATTT.
HOT TIP ; use something with a straight edge when applying ur eyeshadow (business card for example) so that it'll make a rly clean line for ur eyeshadow. you'd put it at the end of the eye and tilt up towards ur temple…💬🎀
♡ go for a warmer blush look and use apply some mascara onto ur top lashes, but for ur bottom lashes use ur eyeliner for a more dainty natural look
CASUAL GLAM MUST HAVE ITEMS ;
♡ ur bedazzled water bottle
duh, hydration is super duper important for us to function in the best way possible and be healthy and glowing. this is ur sign to go and have some fresh, cold water…💬🎀
infused water recipes :
for some extra casual glam points, make some infused water to add some flavor and extra nutrients to ur water. you can simply add lemons, or add other fruits like strawberries and cucumbers.
♡ ur headphones
headphones are a MUST when running errands and doing miscellaneous chores. listening to music makes any task 10x better and more glamorous…💬🎀
♡ a yummy candle and a captivating task
a sweet smelling candle being lit is like, essential especially if ur going to be home all day and ofc u need a task to do so that then ur managing ur time and putting it into things that are meaningful…💬🎀

I know this is wildly different from my usual art posts BUT I have wanted to make it for a long, long time, because I love sharing any knowledge that might help someone else. SO...
If you (A) don't want to spend more than 1 minute on your face routine, (B) don't want to completely change what your face structure looks like with makeup to have a consistent skin appearance and/or (C) have cystic/nodal/regular acne that just doesn't go away no matter what people tell you to do,
then I give to you:
My One Single Product 1 Minute Makeup Tutorial For People Who Don't Wear Makeup
In which I bravely show you my face to illustrate
Before and after on one of my "best" skin days:
It's very likely this is common knowledge for a lot of people BUT I wish I had known it when I was in my teens and struggling with a severe skin condition I thought would eventually go away and never did.
[TLDR: It's a concealer stick that matches your skin]
No, having a skin condition doesn't mean you need to cover it. However, that doesn't mean it can't still hurt your self image, confidence, and relationships with people who give you unsolicited comments on it (because you want to throw them out the window).
SO HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED:
A concealer stick, my preference being Covergirl's CG Smoothers. They're non-comodogenic and somehow seem to help with my acne, maybe just because covering it helps me not pick at it.
Now, I am the pastiest, whitest shade of white, so I use two shades: "Fair" for my face, which has more of a pink hue, and "Neutralizer" (wheeze) for my neck because it gets even less sun than my face, and is both paler and less pink.
You might be able to get along just fine with one tone if you don't get acne on your neck and chest or have a more even skin tone, but the most important thing is to get the shade that matches your skin tone as close as possible.
To do this, either look in a mirror in the most natural light you can find and hold up your hands and arms until you find a spot that matches your face the closest, then compare the makeup in the store to this. OR.... Just bring a little mirror with you to the store.
STEPS:
1. Start with a clean face. (Wipe your face with a wet cloth if you haven't washed your face already that day)
Optional step 2. Put on a little moisturizer if your skin dries out and flakes, like mine does. I'm allergic to my cats so I use a medicated cream in place of moisturizer lmao
3. Swipe the concealer directly onto red spots, scabs, or bumps, and rub it in with your finger making a soft halo that blends in with the rest of your skin.
...and that's it.
You don't have to do your whole face. You're only adjusting the parts that stands out so they blend in and leaving the rest alone. Some days I cover a few spots, other days it feels like my whole face.
It can't always completely everything, but it makes everything much less noticeable. The shape of scabs may still be there:
It won't cover freshly bleeding wounds well, either... But it will cover the red skin around it:
Like with any makeup, always remove it before you go to bed!!! With makeup remover or a cleanser! Cheap, unscented makeup wipes work great for me.
So yeah, I'm 30 and only just now started finally seeing improvement in my own skin because I did my own research and asked a doctor to try treatments for hormonal acne instead of all the antibiotic approaches, meaning I'm on spironolactone and thus also a mandatory birth control. But hey! It's something.
Having control over how my face looks helps my confidence and self image, like controlling how my hair or clothes look. I don't feel like I have to wear it any more than I don't have to wear my hair short, I just like it that way.
I also hope that this might be able to help guys too, or anyone else who feels like they're not "allowed" to wear makeup but still struggle with the look of their own skin, since the lack of any other product means you really don't look like you're "wearing makeup".
Anyway, long post over, time to flee 🏃♀️
#makeup#tutorial#concealer#acne#cystic acne#nodal acne#no makeup look#no-makeup look#acne cover up#my face#acne tips#makeup tips#makeup hacks#“ok I've waited years to do this I'm finally gonna take the pictures” boom acne clears up for the first time in years

₊˚ 🍮 my makeup tips (who no one really asked for) - if you want a base that lasts all day, apply your moisturiser/spf, and dab some translucent powder all over your face. spray some setting spray, and once it dries apply your primer. then just put your foundation, concealer, etc. on as usual. i also recommend using a finishing spray if you don't want it to budge at ALL. - pleaseeeee let your concealer sit for a little before blending!!!! it makes it way easier to blend. - use setting spray and powder after every layer, TRUST ME. after you applied your cream products, spray your setting spray, let it dry, and dab setting powder on.
₊˚ ps - lmk if you want a pt two with my recommendations and if you want to be tagged :)
