i rlly like riku's mental description of daisuke (which is while he's carrying her up a sheer mountain cliff for half an hr) bc whenever daisuke's forced to describe himself he has like..... just about nothing good to say about himself. he's lacking in confidence, he's wanting for growth and self-substance. since the start of the series he wanted to change, and during the rokuto arc he outright says that someone confident, charismatic, and able to smile freely is the sort of person he WISHES he could be. he calls himself a loser and hates how he 'can never do anything alone,' or relies on dark too much, and likewise gets overwhelmed then furious + frustrated by his own self's apparent helplessness, but he canonically has what it takes to match dark, in the end. dark isn't the source of daisuke's skill or anything either. daisuke doesn't become any less skilled of a phantom thief even if/when dark gets taken away from him --- that's all also naturally him. he comes off as clumsy and careless which is funny because it's when he's not under pressure that he loosens up and inadvertently shows off a lot of his skill, ie:
vs
+ a hundred other scenes where someone starts chasing him or daisuke isn't actively anxious / overthinking, and he pulls some incredible gymnastic move or sprints away at blistering speed. it's typical but esp when foiled with the likes of satoshi who comes off as cold, strong, and self-contained (yet actually has a VERY delicate, weak-willed and fragile inner personality,) daisuke's the sort of person who seems overly meek but actually, even through all of canon's psychological + physical torments, can behave REALLY recklessly. enough so that sometimes somebody often has to hold him back and remind him to think. it doesn't matter if he has to do what feels like a triathlon, or if a huge rock hits his head and knocks him out for a while, or if he's quite literally pushing himself to the point that he's in serious, agonizing pain for the sake of someone else. people who know him on a deeper level will be able to recognize this detail that daisuke himself is somewhat blind to --- he invests himself and his emotions completely into anything he does.

thinking about spock being too human for vulcan, and too vulcan for most humans... and then there's kirk who looks at him with huge homosexual eyes and trusts spock with his life time and time again. and compliments his mind. and compliments the glimpses of his emotions. THEY MAKE ME ILL!!!!

eddie asks if steve would still love him if he was a worm, to which steve obviously says yes, because steve would still love eddie if eddie were a sweet gum ball stuck in steve’s big toe.
anyway, steve wakes up the next morning to a worm wiggling across his chest. at first, he almost screams, but then he remembers eddie’s question from yesterday.
oh shit...
did eddie turn into a fucking worm??
after a few seconds of contemplating, steve carefully picks the worm up. “eddie? is that you?”
unfortunately for steve’s ego, the real eddie can’t control the volume of his laughter from outside the bedroom door, and steve’s face is redder than red when eddie stumbles into the room.
now steve wants to know why the fuck eddie put a worm on his chest.

happy new year Ego!!! Just wanted to let you know that I absolutely adore your twst fanart and the tags are just an absolute pleasure to read! You are my greatest inspiration for my personal twst art and I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful masterpieces <333 if possible, may I ask what are some of your headcanons for the diasomnia family? If not for diasomnia then any other characters are fine as well!
thank you, and happy new year! 💚💜💚 that is amazing to hear; it's always a little bewildering but super flattering that other people like my silly little doodles so much!
I don't think I really have any really solid headcanons and also canon keeps validating me left and right (FLUFFY DOMESTIC DIAFAM IS REAL). mostly just kind of...impressions and general thoughts, if that makes sense! lately though I've been kind of obsessed with thinking about Lilia's hair, and specifically when/why he ended up cutting it. (l-look, we're bouncing around the timeline and I gotta make decisions about these things when I draw, it's relevant) (I mean I would probably be weirdly fixated on this anyway, but.)
I think I've settled on the idea that he kept it long until he went to NRC, partly because 1) I like drawing The Ponytail, and 2) I think he thought of NRC as a chance to reinvent himself a bit! he gets to go and be a wacky carefree teenager for a few years and have fun! (officially he's there to keep an eye on Son #1, but how much trouble could he get into, really.) so he gave himself a Cool Teen Haircut to go with his fresh new Cool Teen Persona!
also maybe he had some reflection on his hair's troubled past with three kids...
...and had to weigh his vanity versus the fact that he was going off to be around hundreds of kids on a daily basis, and. the choice suddenly seemed obvious.

Just thought about … oh my god. Bakugo’s first real battle with a formidable villain after your kid is born; he’s not exactly “out of shape” (he never quit the gym, routine, etc… just changed it), but he’s thrown down hard in the first couple seconds, and he’s slower to get back into position—taking the time to steady his feet and assess the terrain, pushing out the lil tummy he gained feeding you postpartum delicacies as he cracks his back—
And the villain, god help them, decides to call out to him as they use the few seconds of vulnerability to attack again, screaming, “hey pop pop, don’t tell me parenthood has made you soft! How ‘bout I start calling you ‘daddy,’ too?”
Just as Bakugo’s turning back around with a new fire in his eyes, blood all warmed up, and shooting off to grab them by the throat to end the fight in one single move.

I really like that they made Jor-El speak Kryptonian and Clark unable to understand him. The whole "aliens speak English" thing that happens in every goddamn media has bothered me all my life. Ik sometimes Clark just gets zapped in the brain for insta-second language but that always felt like a cheap shortcut.
Jor-El had a lot on his mind when he set up that magic spaceship okay. The world was ending and he was trying to do as much as he could before time ran out so he could be there for his son. He was rushing. He likely didn't consider Kal would be raised with a whole different language and not know any Kryptonian nor have anyone to teach him.
