Opposites Attract
Unlike his friend, D16 often kept his head down and followed protocol. Going through his usual routine one cycle after another, only stepping out of his normality whenever Orion Pax needed to be pulled out of trouble. Yet... he'd be lying, if he ever said his optics never occasionally drifted towards the one thing he's wanted. You. The High Guard that had stolen his spark, who's beauty could only be compared to the sparkling towers of Iacon. Something he could never touch and never to keep. For he accepted the fact you both were from different worlds. Something that not even one of the 'great plans' of Orion Pax could change... right...?
Content: D16/Megatron TFO x F/Cybertronian Reader. Fluff.
Toiling away under the flickering lights and constant hum of machinery. The cavernous walls of the mine glittered with the veins of energon, their iridescent glow faintly illuminating the surroundings.
As the others grinded away at the seams of energon, Orion Pax's gaze flickered up at D16, noticing the distracted expression upon his faceplate.
"Hey D. You ok?"
Startled and snapping out of his daze, D16 briefly looked over his shoulder. "Huh? Oh- yeah, yeah. I'm fine." he replied dismissively, casually returning his blank gaze back to the task at hand.
"You know I've got your back. Right...?"
"I know, I know you do, Orion. It's just... it's nothing. Really."
Orion lowered his tools, placing a hand on D16's shoulder as his movements became a bit more forceful, as if he was trying to take out his frustration on the cave walls.
Stiffening under his friend's touch, finally taking a moment of pause as he met Orion's concerned gaze.
"It's just... it's stupid. I honestly don't know why I'm even bothered by it." A heavy sigh escaped D16's lips, dropping his tools and leaning against the rocky wall behind him. "I... bumped into someone this morning before shift. It was a little thing really, but the simple shock of it... the shock of realizing who it was... I-I've never seen her in person before, only from the holos, but... Primus, Orion. She was... perfect!"
"Don't give me that look." He groaned, seeing the faint smile tugging on Orion's faceplate. "It's not like I have a chance with her. There's no universe where she'd be slightest bit of interested in some lowly mech like me-"
"C'mon D... don't be like that-"
"Why shouldn't I? It's the truth and you know it." D16 pushed himself off the wall and resumed his work. Wielding his tools with more force than necessary. The sharp ringing of metal against stone echoed throughout the cavern.
"Because there's gotta be more to life than just... this!" Orion protested, gesturing to their surroundings. "Don't you want to try and be more than what we're 'supposed' to be?-"
"What else are we supposed to be, then?!" D16 scowled, swinging his tool once more, causing a shower of sparks to fly up. The glow of the energon-flecked rock reflected off the planes of his face, casting deep shadows under his optics. For a brief moment, the harsh environment seemed to aged his otherwise youthful features. "We're miners! Built for this! Just because you have grand dreams and aspirations, doesn't mean the rest of us do!"
Orion flinched, pausing for moment before finding his voice again. "You're... not seriously gonna just admire this femme from afar...? I-I've seen the way you look at her. You adore her!-"
"It doesn't matter, Orion. She's far beyond me. I'm... just a simple miner, and she's a High Guard. There's no point in even entertaining the thought that I could ever... be with her."
"Why not? Who says you couldn't? You're just as good as any mech!-"
"Oh yeah! I'm sure she'd be enthralled by my rugged charm and the coal dust that's constantly clinging to my frame!" D16 bitterly laughed, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "I bet she'd swoon over the grease stains on my servos. And of course, the highlight! My endless stories of energon extraction- it just gets the femmes going every time! Clearly!"
Grinding away at the cavern wall, using the repetitive motion of his tools against the stone to distract him from the thoughts spinning through his processor. The dull ache in D16's servos felt like a welcomed relief compared to the turmoil in his spark. A small thorn of guilt pricked at his circuits, as he caught Orion's somber expression within the corner of his optic.
Both fell into a tense silence, the only sound of steady rhythmic clang of metal on stone dragging out till the end of their long shift.
---
Eventually the twelfth hour came to an end, D16 and Orion headed to the nearest exit along with their fellow miners. Grimy from the day's work, their servos stained and joins sore from exertion. D16 stretches lazily, trying to work out the kinks in his wiring, rolling his neck and shoulders as he walked beside Orion.
Raising an optic ridge, following his friend's gaze. D16's spark practically stutters when he spots you not far in the distance. A sweet smile framing your lips, as you spoke to another High Guard, your polished form standing out against the dingy backdrop of the mining station. D16's spark pulsed within it's chamber, sending zaps of electricity throughout his circuits, as if you're a magnet drawing him in. As you turned away from your fellow High Guard, the silver miner quickly avoided eye contact, secretly hoping you didn't notice him as he stared at the floor.
Hiding his mischievous smile, Orion slowed his pace a little. His gaze stubley peering up at you every so often, as the gap between you and his friend gradually closes. Secretly positioning himself slightly behind you, Orion quickly pushed you into D16.
His optics widen as you came crashing down on top of him, your sudden weight causing him to lose balance and fall onto his back with a surprised 'oof.'
"H-Hey! Watch where you're..." oh... Primus...
Subtle warmth slowly raised beneath his faceplates, as passers by raised an optic ridge at your... rather compromising position. Your tall yet slender frame caging D16 beneath you, while his servos hovered awkwardly above your waist.
"Ow..."
A jolt of electricity shot through him, a gasp slipping past his lips as your weight shifted onto his legs, straddling his lap. His servos itched towards your thighs, his amber optics watching the grime and dirt rub off onto your otherwise flawless paintwork. Quickly glancing up at you with an apologetic expression, as your optics flickered open.
"By the AllSpark! Are you ok?" your melody tone was filled with concern, as your soft gaze met his. "I-I honestly don't know what happened."
Taking a moment to collect himself, D16's servos involuntary slowly slid up and down your thighs. "I'm... I'm fine. No harm done... are you alright?"
A subtle heat rose to your faceplates, making them warm to the touch, as your optics flickered down at your thighs. Feeling the miner's calloused servos subconsciously caress your sooth metal.
Following your shy gaze, embarrassment flushed across D16's features. Quickly pulling his servos away and scrambling to sit up properly, his chassis brushing against yours. His optics nervously darting around, attempting to avoid your gaze while his spark wildly pulsed within its chamber.
Both raising onto your peds, and after a brief moment of hesitation. The miner's gaze slowly trailed up your form, as you brushed off the coal dust and grime.
"Primus... s-sorry about that." A pang of guilt struck his inner-circuits, while D16 fussed over you. His spark skipping a beat as you gave him a sweet smile. The warmth of your body made his processor go all fuzzy, not being able to string a single thought.
"Thank you-"
"D! There you are! I've been looking for you." Orion's cheerful voice interrupted. Pulling his usual warm smile, ignoring his friend's annoyed glare as Orion wrapped an arm around D16's shoulders. "Please forgive my clumsy friend, ma'am. If you'll allow it, he'd would like to properly apologize for this whole inconvenience. Perhaps over some energon? His treat, of course."
What?! D16's optics widened, as his glare narrowed onto his friend. For sparks sake, Orion! Now isn't the time to conjure up one of your 'master plans!'
You held up your servos. "Oh... that's very sweet. But he doesn't-"
"Nonsense. He insists. Right, buddy?"
Not wanting to bring anymore attention, than Orion already did. D16 slowly nodded, as an irritated huff escaped him.
His optics flickered towards you, as your sweet chuckles came to his audio receivers. Clearly finding somewhat some form of amusement, as the miner obviously looked like he wanted to be anywhere but here.
"Very well... if he insists. U-Um... when?"
"How about this evening?" Orion's smile widened, clapping a hand upon D16's shoulder, who subtly cringed under his friend's touch. "D knows a great energon bar down the way, The Cranked Gear. Very laid-back atmosphere, perfect for a casual... meeting."
The warmth beneath D16's plates rose, as he caught a glimpse of your sweet smile. Your soft gaze roaming over his frame, "sounds great. See you later... D."
"What. The. Fragg was that?!" the silver miner snapped once you were out of earshot. A mixture of disbelief and frustration etched into his faceplates, "you set me up!"
"Hey... I was just trying to help." Orion held up his servos in surrender. "Plus, it proves you have a chance with her-"
"Are you kidding me? There's no chance!" D16 threw his servos up in exasperation, his inner-circuits coiling with tension. "She's a High Guard. I'm a cogless miner-bot. We're practically from different worlds! What am I supposed to do? Just sit there and make a fool of myself?"
A weak smile came to Orion, shrugging as he tried to give D16 some form of reassurance. "From... what I've heard. You kinda just... sit there and talk when you're on a date."
"Gee, thanks for the helpful advice." D16 frowned, his tone dripping in sarcasm. "I'll just sit there and chat about the weather and my thrilling work in energon extraction." A low groan escaped his lips, while pinching the bridge of his nose. "I don't know why or how I let you talk me into things, y'know..." This is gonna be a disaster.
Later That Evening
Rocking upon his heels, shifting nervously from pede to pede. A subtle hopeful expression etched upon his features, as D16 glanced around for you.
No sign of her yet...
Taking a deep breath, trying to steady his spark and nerves. While his processor ran through potential conversation topics, attempting to prepare something interesting to say. A sigh escaping his lips, as D16 looked down at himself, suddenly hyper-aware of his frame. His rough, dull plating starkly stood out against the sleek finish of the other mechs in the vicinity.
Hopefully... she's not too put off by my rough exterior-
"Good evening... hopefully you haven't been waiting long."
Your soft tone snapped him out of his thoughts, his wide eyed stare roaming over your newly polished figure. "No! Uh, I mean... no. I just got here... you look..."
"What...?" you quickly looked down at yourself. Examining particular spots over your frame, "do I still have coal dust on me or something?"
"No! No! You look good. Great, even. Better than great!" fragging idiot. "Um... shall we...?"
Giving him a brief smile, you followed D16's lead into the bar. Sunken ceiling lights lit the area with a warm, gentle hue. The atmosphere bustling with chatter and laughter. Making your way through the clutter of tables and chairs, D16 could practically feel the surprised and confused expressions of the patrons, as they took in your presence.
He knew that the pair of you must make quite the duo, a miner and a High Guard. While guiding the way through the bar, his optics narrowed onto the nearest bots, silently daring them to say something. Leading you to a more secluded booth in the far corner, the lights became slightly more dim, creating more intimate feel. While the patrons chatter reduced to lulled muffle.
Your smile slightly widened, as D16 pulled out a seat for you. Politely waiting til you were settled before taking a seat opposite you.
"So... uh... how was your day?" his voice was uncharacteristically low, while his digits anxiously fidgeted wit the edge of the table. Seriously? That's the best you can come up with? Come on!
"Um... alright. Nothing out of the ordinary."
The awkward tension slowly eased into the space between you, as D16's processor scrambled for a new topic.
"That's good... My shift down in the mines was pretty normal. Just the... usual amount of ore. No issues with the equipment- well, one drill malfunctioned. But we fixed it quick enough."
D16's spark nervously pulsed through his wires, as you flashed him a weak smile. Replying with a simple nod, "oh... um, sounds... eventful? Would you... like to order some energon?"
"Yeah, yeah. Sure. I, uh, should probably warn you though. The stuff they serve here isn't exactly the most refined. It's... got a kind of a bite to it."
After answering with shrug, D16 took the cue to approach the nearby bar. The bartender passed him the drinks with a knowing glance, only to be greeted with the miner's glare in return. Knowing full well that the whole bar was undoubtedly watching him, make his way back to you.
Settling himself back into his seat, carefully sliding your drink towards you. As he took a sip from his own, the smooth taste a momentary distraction from the awkward tension.
Noticing your half-hearted smile, a pang of guilt thumped within his spark. This a complete fragging diseater! Why can't I say anything? I can practically feel this whole thing already crashing and burning in front of me!-
"What's... that on your shoulder?"
"Huh?" D16 followed your gaze, briefly noticing you pausing from your drink. A subtle warmth radiated beneath his faceplates as embarrassment swept through his frame. "Oh, uh, that's just... a sticker. My friend, Orion put it there a while ago, and I... forgot to remove it-"
"Oh no. Don't remove it." The tone of your voice peaked a little, as your gaze softened. Admiring the sticker's holographic shine. "It looks good on you. You should see my stasis pod in my private quarters."
A shy smile lit up his features, as D16's spark fluttered within it's chamber. "Y-You... you think so? I, uh... I appreciate that. And... what's on your stasis pod?"
"My favorite, Solus Prime. But I promise it's only a small sticker."
"Ah, a Solus fan, eh?" a small chuckle escaped his lips. Optics shining with a glimmer of amusement. "Not too shabby. Can't blame you, she was a badass warrior. And... only a small sticker, you say?"
Holding up your servo, almost pinching the air between your thumb and index digit. "This small. Nothing too crazy."
"Oh, phew." A light laugh escaped his lips, as D16 mockly wiped an invisible bead of condensation upon his forehelm. "I was worried you had her face on a full sized wall mural. But just a little sticker? That's much more reasonable."
Your sweet chuckles rung through the air between the pair of you, like a sweet melody. Lifting the awkwardness that lingered before, finally giving him the chance to actually feel connected with you.
Feeling a bit more emboldened, D16 continued. "Seriously. Solus is a solid choice. But I'd have to go with Megatronus, personally."
Raising an optic ridge, while tilting your helm to the side. "What draws to you him?"
Leaning back in his seat, a look of admiration sparkled within his optics. "Well, apart from being the most fearsome warrior in Cybertron's history. He was also a brilliant strategist! He could take on any opponent and come out on top! Plus, he's just... so incredibly powerful. Unstoppable really! I guess I've... always looked up to him for that kind of strength."
A small smile teased the corner of your lips, trying to hide it behind your cup. "That's very true. I gotta admit that he's a total badass."
"Oh. He's definitely a badass! I remember reading tales about his battles against the Quintessons, and let me tell you. They're the stuff of legend! He could take on an entire army by himself and come out with nothing but a scratch."
"Careful." Your teasing tone purred. "Your fanboy is showing."
The warmth beneath his faceplates grow even more, as embarrassment crept back into his frame. Clearing his vocal processor, attempting to return to his usual demeanor while his spark skipped a beat. "What? I'm just stating facts."
Taking the last sip from your drink, your soft gaze trailed down his chassis. D16 subconsciously shifts his body, covering his cogless chamber. His spark pulsing more, avoiding your gaze while taking another mouthful of his drink.
A lull ache pulsed throughout your frame, guilt jabbing your at your spark. "Forgive me... I-I shouldn't have starred-"
"It's... It's fine." The lull ache within you begun to painfully prick at your spark, as D16's words held a more rougher edge than he intended. "You were just curious. I don't blame you."
A subtle blanket of awkward silence slowly crept back into the air, as hesitation temporarily stole your words. A flicker of surprise flashed within D16's optics, as his soft gaze noticed your servo edging closer to him across the table. Breath almost got stuck in his vents as he met your optics, the colour shining with genuine curiosity and a hint of compassion.
The question swirling within your processor, softly escaped your lips in just above a whisper. "Can I...?"
Answering with a simple nod. D16 flinched slightly as you touched his cogless chamber, as if bracing himself for judgement or ridicule. Yet your expression remained soft, a hint of... affection? Flickering within your optics. As your digits gently traced the otter rim of his circular chamber, a strange sense of comfort washed over him. The gesture surprisingly tender, as he found himself relaxing under your touch.
"It's... It's a pretty pathetic sight... isn't it?"
Another prang of guilt pulsed throughout your inner-circuits, as you picked up the subtle shame hiding within D16's words. "What? No! No, of course not. Just... different..."
"Different? That's one way to put it." D16's tone held a bitter edge, while a scoff escaped him. "I mean... look at me. A cogless miner bot. I'm a pathetic excuse for a Cybertronian."
Great... Hanging his head low, a heavy sigh escaped him. Why did you steer the conversation in that direction? You idiot!-
Crunch!
Snap!
D16's optics widened as he witnessed you tear away a small section of your forearm. His puzzled gaze flickering to the soft smile upon your lips, your optics shining with kindness as an idea crossed your processor.
"Wait! What are you doing?-"
Your soft smile, sweetened as you leaned back in your seat. Purposely positioning yourself just out of his reach, while you worked on the scrap piece of metal. Only taking a few moments to flatten it, using the table's edge to smooth and round off the edges, before holding up the now makeshift disk for inspection.
"I... know it's not real." D16's spark fluttered within his chassis, as his wide optics met your loving gaze. His breath hitching as you reached across the table, placing the makeshift disk into his empty cog chamber. "But maybe... a part of me could be... your 'cog?'"
Staring down at the makeshift 'cog' which now rested in the chamber, a hopeful pulse beat through your inner circuits as your spark skipped.
For a moment, he couldn't find the words to express the swirling emotions within his spark. Surprise, gratitude, affection... They all crashed together in a wonderful mess.
"I-I... I don't know what to say. This is..." D16 slowly placed a servo over his cog chamber, feeling the shape of his new 'cog' inside.
The act itself wasn't just incredibly kind but... surprisingly intimate. The fact that you would willingly give up a part of yourself for him. To make him feel more... complete.
I-I... would never believed... never have imagined...
H-Have I... overstepped somehow? You nervously swallowed a lump in your vocal processor. Was it too much?
But the invisible tug upon the corners of his lips, was enough to slowly calm your racing spark. For he couldn't help but stare at you in quiet awe, as D16's processor still reel from your act. He gently reached a servo across the table, resting it atop your own. A silent gesture of gratitude and affection, while his optics met yours.
"Th-This... was unexpected- wonderful! Thoughtful! But just... unexpected..." he lowly spoke. "How could I ever thank you?"
"Well..." your sweet smile turned slightly flirty, as your thumb caressed D16's knuckles. "Maybe... you could demonstrate your strength to me? I... heard miners are strong."
D16's faceplates heats up at your flirtatious tone, a rush of nervous excitement tingles pulsed throughout his frame.
"O-Oh..." his amber optics glanced around the bar, making sure nobody was eavesdropping as he returned your smile. "And... how would you like me to demonstrate that? Perhaps somewhere more... private?"
Butterflies entangled your wires, as D16's servo took yours in a slightly tighter grip. "Where did you have in mind?"
His breath hitched a little, feeling you checking him out. The touch of your servo beneath his sent a shiver through his circuits. Gradual confidence filled his spark, as he leaned in a bit further, his voice dropping to a low, sultry tone. "I know a secluded spot not too far from here. It'll give us all the privacy we need for a... rigorous demonstration."
"Sounds perfect."
D16 gives you a sly smile, his frame buzzing with anticipation as you softly bit your bottom lip. Sliding out of the booth, his optics meeting yours. Extending a servo out to you, a silent offer to follow him. "This way gorgeous."

YOUR DEAR FRIEND, DAN HENG — DAN HENG
⋆。˚ ❀ summary: friends don’t buy each other matching necklaces, right? especially not ones with blatantly romantic undertones… ⋆。˚ ❀ contents: fluff, gn!reader, matchmaker!street vendor in the luofu LMAO ⋆。˚ ❀ wc: 1.1k+ ⋆。˚ ❀ a/n: written for @starlitsawamura's garden of eden collab! :> i chose camellia as the flower!! just a lil fluffy drabble with best boy dan heng
If you had to choose only one thing you adored about the Xianzhou Luofu, it would be the multitude of booths and vendors that lined the bustling streets. The Luofu had its many sanctuaries of peace, but the areas of chatter and liveliness was what really caught you attention.
This time, much to your pleasure, Dan Heng had offered to accompany you on your latest visit.
“Ooh! Isn’t this so pretty?” you exclaimed, eyeing a shiny gold necklace with a dainty pendant of a camellia flower in the middle. In the center of the flower was a sparkly little diamond. It was no wonder the glimmer immediately caught your eye.
Dan Heng walked up behind you and peered at the necklace over your shoulder. He nodded once. “It looks nice.”
You giggled at his short response. “What a compliment coming from Dan Heng himself.”
“I try,” he remarked wryly. “It’s a camellia flower, correct?”
“That’s right!” the vendor who was lingering nearby butted in. She was an older lady with a bright smile. “The beautiful camellia. A flower the conveys with it the feeling of love and affection, burning passion. I’d say it puts even the grandiose rose to shame.”
Gently, you clasped the pendant between your thumb and forefinger, brushing the golden petals.
“I like it,” you said with certainty, debating on whether or not you should buy it right now.
Dan Heng looked between the pendant and your neck. “It suits you.”
You hid your smile. Somehow, such simple words were enough to warm your heart. It was only natural when such words came from Dan Heng. Your dear friend.
“But that’s not all!” the vendor cried once more. “Let your Auntie here show you.” She shuffled around to the other side of the cart before returning with another necklace dangling between her fingers. “There’s a matching pair!”
Your eyes widened in excitement at the sight of the matching necklace. The pendant was the same, but instead of a diamond in the middle it was a small pearl. The chain was slightly thicker and heavier. You thought it would look good on Dan Heng, especially over his high-necked black shirt.
“I love it!” you chirped, immediately reaching for your coin pouch. “They’re both so cute.”
You paused before giving into your impulses. It wasn’t like you’d have much use for two of the same necklaces.
As if sensing your hesitation, the vendor held the two necklaces together, revealing them to you as if they were a precious treasure.
“Do you know the language of the flowers, dear?” she whispered conspiratorially. “‘My heart is aflame for you’. ‘I burn for you.’ That is what these necklaces say. And that is why you and your boyfriend should definitely buy these! Your love will be destined to last forever.”
“My boyfriend?” you said, looking around wildly before your gaze landed on Dan Heng. Once you realized the vendor’s implications, your cheeks heated up. “Oh! Dan Heng? He’s… He’s not—”
“We’ll take it.”
“Wonderful!”
“What?” You blinked.
It all happened so fast. Dan Heng, pulling out his money and paying before you could; the vendor, counting the credits and handing the camellia necklaces over to him. Your eyes could hardly keep up.
“This Auntie thanks you for your patronage,” said the vendor with a proud smile as Dan Heng bowed his head in gratitude and walked away with you in two. “Come again soon!”
When he reached a spot underneath the shade of a tree, he offered the necklace with the diamond to you.
“Here,” said Dan Heng. “It looked like you really wanted it. I hope you do not mind I bought it for you.”
You shook your head, touched that he would do something like that for you. There were many things you loved in life, and of those many things, one of them was receiving gifts. “I don’t mind at all. I’m happy you got it for me. Thank you, Dan Heng!”
Taking the necklace into your hands, you attempted to clasp the chain together behind your neck. After a few tries, you sighed in frustration.
A few more moments passed before you heard someone clear their throat. “Do you need assistance?”
He maneuvered behind you as you nodded. “Yes, please.”
Slowly, Dan Heng brushed the loose strands of hair on your neck aside and took the ends of the chain between his fingers. His fingertips felt cool against your skin, and your back straightened at the delicate touch.
Their was restraint in his movement. It felt as if he was trying his hardest to not make direct contact with you, in fear it would be unwelcome. But that only made the accidental touches even more electrifying. You held back a shiver as his knuckle brushed against your bare neck.
Dan Heng was soon able to clasp your necklace together and stepped away once he did. “There.”
“Thank you.” You touched the pendant with a smile, secure in its spot at the base of your neck. “Would you like some help as well?”
He considered it for a moment before nodding. “Sure.”
Swiftly, you took his necklace from his palm and had him turn around. Placing it around his neck, you fastened the chain together. You decided it was much easier when you could actually see the clasp.
“There,” you announced, moving back to admire the pretty gold necklace against Dan Heng’s black shirt. “It looks so good on you!”
He chuckled, his cheeks turning pink. “You as well.”
“Thank you,” you said, fighting off the bashfulness you felt at his compliment. Clearing your throat, you managed to ask, “So, what do you think of the hidden meaning the vendor mentioned?”
Dan Heng considered it for a moment before replying. “It seems the camellia is a very passionate flower. In that sense, it suits you. In terms of the love and romance aspect…” he trailed off, face growing even more red. “Who knows what the future holds.”
You blinked, your ears burning with heat. That might have been as close to an admission as you would get from Dan Heng.
“Are you implying that the future may hold something like that for us?” you said slowly and curiously, hoping you weren’t interpreting his words the wrong way.
He smiled almost hesitantly. “I’m uncertain myself what the future has planned, but I wouldn’t mind taking a chance on us.”
For a moment, you were stunned into a shocked silence before happiness overcame you. You laughed at how Dan Heng could be both forward and indirect at the same time.
“Well, we already have the matching necklaces for it,” you said teasingly, touching the camellia pendant once more. “I’d love to take a chance with you.”

We got beomie and hyuka as ghostface individually but what would happen when our sweet little reader ends up being ghostface with him????
I was binging the franchise and pondered on the idea since there’s typically more than one behind the mask OOooOoOoOoOo
I love spooky szn hahaha not as much as I love you!!!
- 🙂↕️
aww omg i love you too :D
-ghostface emo txt dating ghostface reader! (request!)
pairings: emo ghostface txt x ghostface reader
plot: random separate ghostface txt x ghostface reader headcanons
warnings: gore, smut, fluff, plot twist, txt infantilizing reader, cursing, death, heavily inspired by different ghostfaces’ from the scream franchise, bottom reader x top txt, takes place in university, established relationship between txt and reader, fan x celebrity dynamic between beomgyu and reader, (reader is jill roberts and beomgyu is charlie walker), crybaby reader
yeonjun as amber freeman ㅤׄㅤ 𝜗 ♥︎ 𝜚:
•when a second ghostface was back in town you were more paranoid than usual, resulting in giving yeonjun your sliver heart locket necklace as a form of protection. “w-wait jjunnie” a small squeak falls from your pouty lips as you lay beneath your boyfriend on your pretty back. yeonjun pulls away from your mouth with a whine of protest. “what is it baby? am i going too fast?” you shake your head at that question, “i-i just don’t know what i’d do if anything happened to you” your shaky hands reach up to take off the sliver chain around your neck and you cursed at yourself for sparing yeonjun. what makes him so different from the friends in your life? you hated them and you hate your boyfriend too right?
•with a flushed face, your hands wrap around yeonjun’s neck clipping on the heart locker necklace you always wore. “i just wanna make sure you’re okay.. with ghostface running around again im really scared of losing you” you cringed at yourself, hating how you just said how you felt out loud.
•yeonjun only smiles at your scared state, you really think he needs protection from the masked killer running around town? if only you knew. “thanks baby” yeonjuns brown eyes pierce down at your pretty skirt, “you have condoms right?”
•yeonjun loved how stupid you’d get from his cock each time he’d fuck you, smiling menacingly as the emo boy imagined how cute you’d look struggling to breathe with his hands wrapped around your airway- “jjunnie?” you call out weakly, yeonjun’s eyes open. “i wanna cum jjunnie” you’d whine at his fingers pinching and pull at your swollen bud. the cold metal from yeonjun’s rings making you shiver
•yeonjun always threw the best parties in campus, which annoyed you since you hated parties but whatever tonight can be the night you finally kill your boyfriend right? “why are you watching this?” you stand behind the couch yeonjun laid on watching the texas chainsaw massacre. “it helps calms me down” the black haired male finishes his drink, “hey baby can you please get me some more beer?” you sighed and nodded going into the basement. closing the fridge you jump at yeonjun standing in front of you with a grin, “that was a test and you failed!” “what? you said to get more beer!” “yeah and you should have asked me to come to the basement with you!” you scoffed contemplating if you should just kill yeonjun right here right now “look baby you can’t just go around in scary places alone with a masked killer around it just makes you look suspicious” “what? what do you mean i look suspicious?” yeonjun steps closer “it makes me think maybe you’re the killer running around woodsboro” you froze your eyes wide and yeonjun laughs at your petrified state “im kidding baby i know you’re not the killer” you narrowed your eyes confused now. “and how do you know that i’m not the killer?” yeonjun chuckles again walking so close to you that you felt his breath on your lips “because im the killer” you squeak falling to the ground below your feet “im kidding baby! jeez!” his strong arms lift you up to your feet again “no but seriously i know you’re not the killer because look at you, you’re such a crybaby i think even killing as something as little as a bug will have you confessing in shame. now come on let’s go i wanna play beer bong”
•you blinked confused at why you were being dragged in a closet, “jjunnie? what are you doing?” “baby just be quiet yeah? it’s hard to explain just- just don’t come out until you i come get you alright?” your eyes widen at yeonjun bonding your wrists together with a rope “i promise baby i’ll explain everything later just be a good girl and be quiet for me yeah?” and that’s when you knew yeonjun was the other ghostface running around town. “can you say ‘yes jjunnie i understand’ for me baby? i just wanna make sure you’re not going to leave” you were paralyzed with fear “y-yes jjunnie i understand”
•you felt like you were about to have a heart attack watching yeonjun clean his bloody arms with a rag, grabbing a huge stash of cash and stuffing it in a duffel bag. the sound of police cars coming from outside. you couldn’t lie you felt extremely turned on by watching your boyfriend slaughter people with his bare hands and a single knife but still you couldn’t believe yeonjun was the second masked killer all along. “you scream and ill silt your throat” yeonjun grabs you out of the closet whispering in your ear “or better yet i’ll tell the cops outside that you did this which wouldn’t be a lie considering you are the other killer” “how did you know?” your blood runs cold staring at the knife yeonjun had poking by your airway “oh come on baby you’re so fucking obvious you really think i’m that dumb? i mean you’re good with your killings i’ll give you that but you’re sloppy leaving pieces of the pretty ribbons you wear behind? you’re so lucky i was there to clean up your messes now be quiet and come with me” you felt an arm tug you by the back door as police officers burst through the front door.
soobin as ethan landry 𝜗 ♥︎ 𝜚:
•am i gonna die a virgin? was all soobin could think about as he tries to listen to his classmates talk about a masked killer going around campus slaughtering everybody. i mean soobin was one of the killers but who could the other killer be? he was nervously picking at his nails because of this. his mind immediately going to how badly you’re gonna flip at this
•soft whines and whimpers echo the walls on your bedroom when soobin’s tongue swirls around your right nipple while his large hand kneaded your left tit “binnie?” you call out making soobin whimper at you tugging his face up to meet yours “yeah?” his eyes bore into yours “i think i’m ready now” you were referring to losing your virginity. soobin’s face squints into a smile, “yeah?” he moves the hand from your tit and drags it underneath your short skirt. “you want me to pop your pretty little cherry? really baby?” you nod making your boyfriend excitedly kiss your lips
•soobin moans deeply his hands gripping onto your hips with an iron grip, fucking your smaller body onto his cock scared you’ll squirm away. “s-soobinnie!” you wail hugging onto your boyfriend tighter when you felt soobins cock reach your sensitive spot. his globes smacking against your ass making you whine at the burning sensation. “w-wanna cum! wanna cum” you babbled with tears welling at your pretty eyes. this action going straight for soobin’s dick making his hips stutter as he pulls you flush to his body. “yeah?” he drags you closer to his weeping cock, his hand rubbing tight circles on your puffy clit making you weep pathetically, your cunt twitching uncontrollably when you cum all over soobin’s cock triggering his long awaited release. the emo boy sighing dreamily when he shoots in load in your pussy, —this is way better than getting off to hentai
•you constantly tease soobin after that night, giggling about how you both weren’t going to die as a virgins and how you told your friends and they high fived you. which normally could have set soobin off but he let that slide. soobin pretty much let anything slide, even your cute habit of calling him ‘bunny!’ each time you see him in public. soobin just thought you were too cute to kill anybody. so that definitely rules you out on his ghostface suspicions…
•“binnie?” you break the makeout session you were currently in with the secret masked killer. “you won’t let ghostface hurt me right?” your faux eyes in fear bore into soobins as he huffs at the loss of contact from your lips. “i-i won’t, i-ll fucking kill him you hear me?” soobin chants yanking you into another kiss, a large hand presses against your throat, hard enough for you to feel but not hard enough to choke you. “promise?” you breathed smiling holding out your pinky. soobin chuckles wrapping his pinky around, yours kissing your hand before kissing you again. “i won’t i swear i won’t- i promise” you felt yourself melt at the reassurance. “i love you bunny” you flush watching your boyfriend play with your hand. “your hand is so small” “look at how big my hand looks compared to yours” you thought soobin randomly comparing your hand sizes was cute
•when soobin asked you to get his pierce the veil cd you were more than willing to do so! reaching in his top drawer and when you felt something shiny you just assumed it was the said cd, before you let out a wince in pain at a stabbing sensation. “what the-“ your eyes widen at the familiar knife you mistaken for the cd. you couldn’t believe your boyfriend who reminded you of a bunny could be a crazed serial killer. without saying anything you tuck the knife away and start to look elsewhere for the requested item
•watching soobin slice open a boy’s throat from under your bed definitely wasn’t on your bingo card. you shook in fear and your hands cling on your mouth in attempt of silencing your whimpers, not so sure if you were whimpering in fear or arousal. you just couldn’t believe soobin went as far as killing some guy for you just out of his own jealously- maybe you can come clean about being ghostface too? you yelp when you felt your leg being pulled. okay fuck that! you were definitely too scared maybe you won’t tell him until you’re certain he won’t cut you up too
beomgyu as charlie walker ㅤׄㅤ 𝜗 ♥︎ 𝜚:
•beomgyu was absolutely obsessed with horror films, the boy even ran a club for it. so he was definitely caught up with the ghostface lore, even as going far as making documentaries his victims that loved around woodsboro.
•you thought this was annoying, how beomgyu followed you around like a lost puppy with a stupid camera in your face because he thought you were pretty. or how beomgyu would invite himself over your house to watch a scary movie and forced you to download letterboxd for him
•beomgyu was pathetic, you never talked to him around campus yet he has this huge crush on you and he knows everything about you. from your favorite color to the fact that you’re not this moody girl you painted yourself to be, but instead you were a huge crybaby who talked to your stuffed teddy bears out of loneliness.
•beomgyu began watching you through binoculars each time you left your window open. his cock weeping with pre cum in his pants as he snaps photos of you pleasuring yourself with your adorable little plushies. praying to god you’d stop being a bitch and let him fuck you
•beomgyu’s heart filled up with joy when you randomly asked him out. you claimed you’ve always had a thing for him and his nerdy interests but really you just wanted help in your ghostface scheme. you knew beomgyu wouldn’t say no.
•your heart pounds in your ears as you stare at the bloody portrait beomgyu placed behind your teddy bear. it was a boy you had math with, gutted all over a mattress and you really feared beomgyu at this moment, afraid of what he might do to you if he found out you were just using him
•“you’re not fucking serious? you’re backing out because you’re scared you’ll get caught?” beomgyu chuckles blowing another thrust at your sloppy cunt making you whimper loudly. “we’re not done with this ghostface shit until i say so you hear me? now stop fucking moving and make yourself useful and take my cum yeah?” beomgyu breathes yanking you up and down his member, using you as a fleshlight. “if you threaten me like that again i’ll fucking you kill you and behead your plushies” beomgyu laughs at your teary eyes. proceeding to kiss you deeply shoving his tongue down your pretty throat <3
taehyun as billy loomis 𝜗 ♥︎ 𝜚:
•taehyun knew you were behind recent killings the second you expressed your jealously. “i’ll.. i’ll kill her if you don’t stop being her friend!” you told taehyun about how you hated his girl best friend. well you actually hated all of his friends but that’s not the point. taehyun was able to calm you down after swearing he’ll stop the friendship, but when he heard about the death of his beloved friend he knew it was you.
•taehyun asked you carefully, afraid he’d upset you if you had anything to do with the murder. “so what if i did? why are you asking? did you wanna fuck her or something!” you sob at the accusation. taehyun panicked and immediately dropped the conversation comforting you was more important
•taehyun also found your ghostface mask and black robe when he was doing your laundry, already imagining how baggy the piece of clothing looked on you. a smile crept onto his face when he should have been scared
•taehyun thought how blunt you were about something as serious as killing was cute the way you can babble about gutting any girl he ever talks to and then show him your collection of ribbons like if nothing happened really did throw him off
•“what’s your favorite scary movie?” you heard ghostface whisper in your as he stuffed his long fingers inside your wet cunt. smiling as he notices the tears down your chubby cheeks. “black.. black swan!” you cry holding onto taehyun’s wrist, scared he’d kill you right there despite you being ghostface yourself. taehyun lifts the ghostface mask off his face needing to kiss you, this reveal making you jump. “h-hyunnie?” your cunt squeezes taehyun’s digits as he spreads your folds apart. “shhh just relax and be a good girl for me yeah? lay down so i can have my meal.” he smacks a hand down your pretty clit. lightly tossing you back in your baby pink sheets ):
•when taehyun started killing along with you, you grew lazy on your killing spree. “you can do it hyunnie i just wanna play animal crossing” “you’ll take over for me right?” you smile handing him your ghostface mask and robe “you’re way stronger than i am hyunnie!” taehyun would take this role very seriously
•taehyun let you do whatever you wanted until you started spiraling. “i had to hyunnie! she was going to take you away from me!” you sob hysterically, soaked in your victim’s blood. “baby she was just delivering mail” taehyun sighed scared you’ll blow your cover, along with his. “how about you just let hyunnie deal with the killing from now on yeah? you just sit there and look pretty” he coos at your quivering lips, pulling you into the bathroom he’ll just clean up your mess later.
huening kai as stu mutcher 𝜗 ♥︎ 𝜚:
•huening kai didn’t have a serious bone in his body, he was always giggling at something despite being very fucking weird and awkward. i mean who has a collection of butterfly knives? and who gifts that to someone else else? nobody knew how he pulled you.
•the only time you’ve ever seen kai so serious was when you both were listening to tommy february and tommy heavenly 6 on his hello kitty cd player, aruging over who was better. you being team heavenly and him being team february.
•hyuka being one of the masked killers just didn’t make any sense to you. despite everyone on campus saying he gave off that vibe, you refused to believe that rumor. you knew huening kai better than anybody, this is the same guy who sung you lullabies when you needed sleep but couldn’t sleep on your own. the same guy who kissed your plushies goodnight before kissing you. the same guy who screams like a princess when he gets splashed by water. the same boy who watched magical shoujo girl anime with you and knew the soundtrack of each anime by heart. so seriously? why does everyone think he could be ghostface? because he owns black nail polish and wore black clothing? how stupid.
• your hands brace themselves on a teddy bear kai gave you for good measure as his pierced tongue swirls against your cute clit, the taste of the strawberry you were eating earlier lingering on your pretty pussy. you let out a quiet sob as you felt the cold piece of metal tug at your puffy bud, “n-ningie i-i can’t take it! wanna cum! need to cum!” your cries quickly turn to sobs as your heart thumps. you felt like you were going to burst if you didn’t cum any time soon. hyuka smiles against your heat, loving the stinging sensation of your gentle pulling at his long black hair. “yeah?” he pulls away from your cunt and replaces his mouth with his fingers, jabbing his pointer and middle finger at your sweet spot hovering over your smaller body. watching how you squirm at his touch. “is that it baby? is that your little princess spot? or should i aim higher?” kai teases his hair falling over his eyes. when you’re about to respond, the emo boy pulls away making your eyes wide in disbelief. “ningie!” you let out a wail “i wanna cum! please let me cum!” more tears fall down your face as you helplessly tug on kai’s shirt. eventually coaxing him to let you but on one condition. “okay baby i’ll let you cum but you’re cumming all over my cock understood?”
•when you hid underneath your friends bed sheets, you couldn’t help but flinch violently when you felt blood splash all over the blanket around you. you squeeze your eyes shut as an attempt to play dead thinking the killer currently slicing up your bestfriend would spare you. you felt bad but you did tell her to not go downstairs. when loud footsteps near the bed you were laying you shivered. covering your mouth to quiet your breathing. yelping when you felt a yank from the covers, you were about to get stabbed until ghostface studies your face. kai immediately covers you up again taking his leave, this confused you.. why did you get spared?
•when the coast was clear you shakily try to make a run back home, freezing in your tracks when you notice a cardcaptor sakura sealing wand charm on the ground. this immediately makes you realize that you were spared because huening kai was the man underneath the mask. you were scared at what he’ll do if he knew that you knew
•“where are you going?” you gave kai a pout, reaching up to bring the boy closer to your body. “i just have to go finish my homework” hyuka lies but you knew that wasn’t true “i know you’re ghostface” you blurt out like word vomit. “and? what are you going to do about it? throw on your ghostface mask and kill me too?” kai laughs unserious, you quickly shake your head no. “good girl now be quiet i’ll be back later”
a/n: wait happy halloween what the fuck there’s only a week left until halloween..

how do we feel about vampire!aventurine guys 😗
first meeting would be in a party filled with rich nobles and wealthy elites—he probably disguised himself as a businessman. 🤔 he expected a boring party of pretenders... but then his eyes caught a glimpse of you!!! he thinks you're so adorable and mysterious, shying away from the crowd and instead choosing to stand alone in the balcony.
maybe he'd whisk you away, somewhere you can be alone, or he could ask you for a dance, chatting and getting to know you first... don't mind the way his eyes are drawn to your neck and the eerie gleam in those pink-blue orbs, you're just very pretty! that's all. ;)
he's 100% lonely and touchstarved, so he's very very enthralled with the idea of turning you into a vampire! i mean, he'd hate to lose another important person in his eternal life! plus, you'll be spoiled rotten and loved forever by a handsome vampire. so, what do you say? would you give up your mortality for him? :3

hello!
I love your work and I wanted to ask if you would be interested in writing a D-16 x techno-Organic reader?
I would like to see his reaction to the fact that part of her body is soft.
Hi! Thanks for the feedback and for this awesome prompt. I've always liked the idea of a techno/Cybertronic- human/organic hybrid reader, and there definity needs to be more fanfics of it.
Hope you enjoy and apologies for keeping you waiting. :)
Of Flesh and Steel
Expecting the usual deal transaction, the Quintesson ship landed upon the vast plains of Cybertron, sending harsh vibrations through the metallic ground. Their leader scanning the area with a studious gaze, as D16 and his Decepticons greeted with polite bows and hidden, false smiles.
Once their guard was down, Megatron withdraw his cannon. The weapon whirling to life, as he held the barrel against the Quintessons neck with a smug smile. His crimson gaze giving a silent demand, as his glare narrowed.
Amidst disruption and confusion, you made your escape. Forcing your already tired, broken and battered body to run as far as you could. Desperate to put distance between you and your creators, only to lose yourself among the strange foliage of this unknown world.
Content: D16/Megatron X GN Cybertronian/Human Hybrid Reader. Events takes place after TFO.
Word Count: 1,300
The dense metallic forest of Cybertron shimmered under the glow of the twin moons, its landscape a strange fusion of natural beauty and mechanical precision. A forest filled with copper-like leaves hummed faintly, the sound of energon flowing through their veins filling the air like a distant song. Amidst the alien tranquility, D16 and Shockwave moved with purpose, their sensors tracking an erratic and unfamiliar signal.
His towering frame gleamed in the moonlight, while scanning the area with piercing optics. Claws flexed instinctively, prepared for whatever this anomaly might be. Beside him, Shockwave’s singular optic glowed a cold, analytical purple, his detached demeanor betraying no hint of surprise nor curiosity.
Cautiously approaching a clearing, the signal became stronger. Much stronger. Finally brushing away the branches and leafs, D16's and Shockwaves optics widened as their gaze fell upon the most peculiar sight.
You.
Despite having distinctly Cybertronian characteristics. D16 could see something more... organic to you. His optics roamed over your frame, but your... human like skin glistened faintly with a metallic sheen under the moonlight.
Your human-like facial features had the most beautiful optics the Decepticon leader had ever seen. Their unusual colour held a strange depth, as if they contained circuitry woven into your very soul.
Oddly articulated armor covered your arms and legs, segmented like plating- similar to his own.
A small gasp escaped your lips, as your startled gaze finally met theirs. Feeling D16's gaze, as he tried to study more of you. His processor attempting to make sense of the impossibility before him.
Shockwave tilted his head, his optic narrowing as he scanned you. “ "A hybrid of Cybertronian and something... organic? Unprecedented. Likely a Quintesson experiment. Curious anomaly. Should we secure it for study?”
You quickly flinched at Shockwave's imposing presence, pressing yourself harder against the tree as if trying to merge with its metal bark. Breath quickened, and a faint, glitchy sound escaped your lips—a broken plea in a language that Shockwave couldn’t decipher.
“Hold,” D16 sharply spoke, raising his arm to block Shockwave’s advance. His cannon clicked softly as it retracted back into his forearm. His crimson optics slightly softened, as he approached you, his massive frame towered, but his movements were calculated, almost measured.
A whimper softly escaped your lips, while you clutched onto a crude tool—a shard of Quintesson metal that you scavenged during your escape.
It was hardly a threat, but your grip upon it was desperate. Daring to aim the shard at him, feeling D16's optics study your movements for a little longer.
He could see the fear in her optics. Your... words was something he couldn't understand, but the trembling of your frame and the way you recoiled told him enough.
“Their fear is irrelevant,” Shockwave replied coldly, his scanner continuing to process data. “The priority should be understanding their origin and purpose. We should capture them for further analysis.”
Giving a subtle nod to the suggestion, D16 lowered himself to one knee, coming more to your eye level. Softening his voice to a low and steady tone.
“We’re not here to harm you.”
His usual tone returned once opening a private channel to his comrade. Analyze their signal patterns. I want a full breakdown of their language and physiology. But handle them delicately, I don't want you to get too... 'carried away' with your research.
Shockwave inclined his head, his optic flickering. Understood. Prepare for transport?
Not yet. Gain their trust first. It’ll be easier to extract information if they're more cooperative.
"Here..." Your studious gaze narrowed upon D16's outstretched servo. The back of his digits gently encouraging you to lower the Quintession shard, while edging his palm closer. "Take my servo. We'll keep you safe."
Hesitation eased your uneven breath as your optics studied his open servo. Your expression softening slightly while you slowly dropped the shard.
His hand...? His body...? It's... similar to mine...
Optics trailing up his arm, falling upon his faceplate. Placing your small, organic servo into D16's palm, silently allowing him to help you onto your pedes.
The sensation was startling for both of you. To him, your touch was alien—warm and pliant, a stark contrast to the cold steel he was accustomed to. But to you... his hand was immense and unyielding but not entirely hostile. Unfamiliar yet comforting at the same time.
Your touch still trembled within D16's servo, as your optics met his once more. The Decepticon leader felt the faint warmth of your organic flesh through the sensors in his plating. He tilted his head, observing you more closely.
Another sound escaped you, more urgent this time, your voice broke as you spoke to the pair in a pleading, desperate tone. Though your words were incomprehensible. D16's optics softened slightly, and for the first time, a flicker of something unfamiliar stirred within him— pity?
"Calm yourself," he said in the gentlest tone his imposing frame could muster.
You didn't understand his words, but his modulation slightly eased your trembling frame. Bring your spark closer to it's regular pulse. Your grip upon his digits slightly tightened, yet he could still feel your servo trembling.
Shockwave stepped closer, his ever-analytical gaze fixed upon you. Their integration of organic and Cybertronian elements is intriguing. There are no known processes that would yield such a seamless fusion. A study upon them may represent... a new frontier.
D16's crimson gaze flickered up towards his comrade, replying over his private comlink. We’ll take them back to base, but remember—this isn’t just a subject. Proceed with care.
Clutching onto his servo, looking up at him with a mixture of fear and fragile hope as you quietly followed D16's lead through the forest. He occasionally gave you a slight side glance, hiding the storm of suspicion and calculation within him.
Your trembling digits brushed against his metal palm, causing him to freeze for a fraction of a second. You were... impossibly soft—alien and fragile in a way he had never encountered. Cybertronians, even the most delicate among them, were made of metals, alloys, and composites. The sensation of warmth and yielding flesh against his cold plating was... utterly foreign.
While running his thumb over your smaller servo, his optics flickered briefly as he tried to process the sensation. The texture of your servo was smooth yet uneven, faint imperfections running beneath the surface—a network of tiny veins, a pulse of warmth radiating outward.
Something... stirred within his chest. An urge wanted to pull back, to break contact, as if touching you might do damage—or worse, compromise him. But he forced himself to remain still, his vast reserves of discipline locking his servo in place.
They feel.. soft. So soft. Soft, gentle and yet... resilient?
The fact that you had somehow survived the harshness of the Quintessons and the wilderness of Cybertron seemed at odds with the fragility of your form.
Your grip tightened slightly around his digits, pressing your body warmth deeper against his palm. D16 caught himself feeling an odd pang of... Pity? No, that wasn’t it. Understanding? Closer.
The softness of your skin, your frame it was... too exposed, too... unprotected. It stirred something in him that he didn’t like—a flicker of vulnerability, perhaps even responsibility.
He glanced briefly over his shoulder at Shockwave, whose single optic remained fixated upon you with clinical detachment, as he steadily followed behind. For a fleeting moment, the Decepticon leader envied that cold, mechanical focus. For D16 felt his own reaction felt far too... personal.
Clenching his jaw, he pushed the sensation aside and refocused on the situation at hand. “Their physiology is... unique.” He muttered, almost to himself, his voice was steady, but there was a faint tension in it.
Oblivious to his inner turmoil, you looked up at him with a soft gaze. Your trembling seemed to lessen slightly, as though his presence—even as alien it was offered you some sort of... reassurance.
To you, he was a savior. To him, you were merely an enigma—one he would unravel.

I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair.
"Unbelievable. You couldn't even stop for one minute to check the weather? Heck, it's not that hard to just look at the sky and realize that it is getting bloody grey!
You huff, crossing your arms and maintaining your gaze to the car's window: it wouldn't be of any use meeting Kiyoomi's outraged eyes. He's been giving you a lecture since picking you up from your work building, the pouring rain and crazy wind making you wet from head to toe, even though you took less than a minute to get inside the car.
The fact that you forgot your umbrella didn't help you either.
You know that he means well by his words, but it doesn't lessen how they sting inside your mind, tired of being reminded of something you're already beating yourself up for it. He sounds just like your parents whenever you did something foolish for lack of attention. It's annoying, the repetition and "i told you" tone mixed up into a painful monologue that you need to endure the whole drive to your home.
What you don't know, though, is the reason why your long time friend is mad at you. Unlike what you think, there's nothing to do with you wetting the leather of the passenger's seat; rather the fact that you were still at work by 09:00 instead of resting on your couch.
He told you already that your new desk neighbor was a nuisance, trying to take advantage of your kindness and making you stay late at work to finish his demands. And it's not that you're not frustrated about it, but he's new and young and insecure and you can't help but lend him a hand whenever he seems to freak out since he's still getting used to the routine.
You keep saying yes, but you can't see how bad that boy has been using you to do something he was hired for. And that makes Omi go nuts.
"Let me guess, that moron had a "pet emergency" again?" He taunts, gripping the wheels a bit tighter after remembering your dripping state all alone at your work entrance. "What a goof. Couldn't even wait a minute for you to leave."
"Omi, I told him to leave. It was way before it started raining."
"But he still left you alone, didn't he?" He doesn't take any, glaring at you for a moment. "He left you alone while you were putting yourself in danger and staying late trying to save his butt from being kicked. How can you not see the guy's a freaking bastard?"
"Alright! I get it, okay?" You blurt out, looking in his direction with worn out expression. You can't take more of this. "You were right, the whole time. That guy's stupid and I'm even more stupid for trying to help him. Now, can you please stop putting salt on the wound?" You take a moment to breathe, sensing the tension between you both. The back of your head falls on the headrest with a soft tud. "... I'm really tired, Omi. It wasn't a good week and... I'm really sorry for making you come all the way here for my dumbness." You sigh.
It takes a few seconds of silence, helping cooling off the air, before you feel his gaze on you again. This time, it doesn't make you want to hide from it.
"Don't say sorry for that. You know you can count on me, whatever happens." He assures lowly, a certainty inside his voice. He's feeling almost offended that you even considered you're a bother for him. "I only worry. That's all."
You know you won't receive an explicit apology from him, but you know the meaning behind his words, matching the shamed glance he offers you. He knows he's wrong. And when Sakusa realizes he failed, he tries his hard not to repeat the same mistake.
You hate how even without a proper "sorry", he makes your heart swell with fondness.
"Did you cut your hair?" You ask, also trying to change the conversation to something more light. You try not to openly check him out as you appreciate his new short bangs look.
"This morning. How's it look?" He slows down, stopping the car at a red light.
"Nice enough." You'd never admit what you're really thinking. Neither the way your hand is almost aching to touch those black short locks of his.
The corner of his mouth still lifts, though. You were never good at deceiving. "Only nice enough? C'mon, I saved you from desolation and a severe cold."
"Don't push it." You send him a playful glare, making him snicker while moving his hand to squeeze your knee. You smile in return, never getting tired of this intimate banter with him.
Omi might not be the most docile company in the world, but after driving you home, cooking you some pasta and making sure you stayed warm enough before he left, made you realize that you don't want him to change.
You fell in love with who he is. And he's more than perfect that way.
a/n: hey darlings!! thank you for reading this work. this will be part of my small new series "Things I hate about you", starring Omi and other characters. Let me know if you wish to be tagged!

Chapter I: The Abyss of Temptation
(The shuttle landed silently on the verdant surface of the planet Khofar, a wild jewel among the worlds of the Outer Rim Territories. As the hatch opened, a wave of humidity enveloped the Jedi, carrying with it the intense scent of damp earth and the exotic fragrance of the lush vegetation. The forest stretched out before them like an endless sea of green, where the trees rose like ancient towers, their massive trunks covered in layers of gleaming moss. The thick, intertwined canopies above them created a natural roof, allowing only faint rays of light to filter through, speckling the ground with golden patches. Khofar was a living, wild planet, and they were only temporary visitors, intruders in an ancient and balanced ecosystem. Every rustle among the leaves, every distant call, was a warning. A premonition or prelude to what the day would bring.)
If only you had known in advance that your teammates would die one by one before your eyes as you returned from the hut where Jedi Master Kelnacca lived, you would have thought twice before agreeing to the mission. You had fought against the Sith who killed your friends, battling with anger and bitterness, in a grief too fresh to fully comprehend. In the end, the pain of your body hitting the hard ground was nothing compared to the searing agony in your side from a nearly fatal wound. Your vision began to blur, and you could only see footsteps approaching before everything faded to black.
You awoke slowly, as if emerging from a hibernation that had lasted for years. Your eyes opened with difficulty, greeted by a nearly suffocating gloom. The dim light of a few torches was the only source of illumination within what seemed to be a cave. The rocky walls, uneven and cold, seemed to loom over you. You felt weak, every movement was a struggle, and a dull pain throbbed in your side. You tried to sit up, but your injured side forced you back down, a hiss of pain escaping your lips. You brought a trembling hand to the wound and felt the rough texture of the bandages wrapped around the torn flesh. Despite the agony, the wound had apparently been cleaned and treated with care. Someone had taken the time to tend to it, to ensure it would heal, though it was still far from being fully recovered. You looked around, trying to piece together fragments of memory that crowded your mind. You remembered your friends' deaths, Sol screaming, your lightsaber changing color, and a battle. You recalled the fierce confrontation with the Sith, your fall, and the darkness that enveloped you. But beyond that, nothing. You had no idea how you had ended up in that cave, nor who had brought you there.
Your heart raced, panic beginning to seep into your thoughts. Were you a prisoner? And if so, who had shown such mercy to tend to your wounds? The most unsettling question was the most obvious: why hadn't the Sith eliminated you when he had the chance? A shadowy thought slithered into your mind, and the face of the Sith echoed in the depths of your being. The idea that he might have been the one to save you, to care for you, was as chilling as it was improbable. Yet, you couldn’t shake the possibility from your mind, no matter how absurd it seemed.
You dragged yourself out with great effort, and through the blinding light, you saw the silhouette of a man, barely identifiable. You followed him stealthily, still holding your side and trying to endure the pain from the wound. For a moment, you lost sight of him, only to find him again shortly after, immersed in a pool of water in what seemed to be a coastal area with black sand you couldn’t identify. Your eyes fell on the figure facing away from you, submerged in the water, his muscles relaxed, his raven hair wet and slicked back. To your eyes, the man seemed completely unaware of your presence, though he appeared to have a vigilant awareness of the surrounding area. You moved silently among the rocks and vegetation, observing your target until your gaze fell upon a pile of clothes near the shore, where the deactivated lightsaber lay. With swift and somewhat precise movements, you approached the lightsaber. Tension mounted inside you as you crouched to pick it up, aware that any sound could betray your presence. You grasped the metallic object and assumed an attack position as the man began to speak, still with his back turned while he calmly washed himself.
"how does it feel?" he said, turning towards you. You recognized him immediately. The mere sight of his face sparked rage within you. "Pleasant, don't you think?" His tone was a piercing screech to your ears. You gritted your teeth, not responding, remaining in your attack stance. "Your stance is good despite the wound on your side, but your elbows are a real mess. I had my doubts when we fought last time, and now I see why it was so easy to defeat you. Your elbows are too low; you should keep one higher, you know?" he continued, observing you. "…To block more quickly and strike with more precision." He took a brief pause. "Since you don’t know how to use the Force, you should learn to block better," he concluded, stepping out of the water, now only a few steps away from you.
"Don’t move," your stance changed, now aiming the off lightsaber directly at him. Your gaze was sharp and cold. "If you don’t want to join me, at least let me put my clothes on" he said. You took a slight step back, allowing him to exit the water. You swallowed, trying not to let your gaze fall on the naked, wet defined body of the man, keeping in your mind that he was your enemy. You began to ponder whether it was appropriate to attack him now. But it was neither Jedi-like to strike a defenseless man nor to act in such a dishonorable manner. "Surely, you’re wondering if it’s honorable to kill me like this," he began, his tone different from the one used in battle. You swallowed. Your gaze fell for a second on his chest, and you cursed yourself for the terrible idea. "In battle it’s justified, but days later isn’t it revenge?" he asked with a sarcastic tone, as if he already knew the answer. "And now you wonder if I can read your mind… and the answer is… no. Anger betrays your thoughts" he continued, dressing himself as if you weren’t pointing a weapon at him. His gaze seemed oddly gentle, more delicate, almost innocent. So much so that he almost didn’t seem like the same man who had killed seven Jedi just a few nights before.
"Why did you bring me here? Why didn’t you kill me?" you asked, watching him sternly, uncertain of what to do next. "Am I your prisoner?" "Prisoner? You’re the one with a weapon" he said with an overly calm look and an obvious tone in his voice, as he walked back towards the cave, passing by you without fear. You followed him, teeth clenched. You wanted revenge on this man, but what a miserable person you would be to strike him from behind while he was unarmed. "If you keep me here, Sol will come for you. He’s found me before, and he’s powerful with the Force." Your voice sounded threatening, though not as forceful as you’d hoped due to the stabbing pain in your side. The man turned and looked at you with a puzzled expression. "Do you think he’s powerful with the Force? It’s you who’s powerful with the Force, y/n. Someone should teach you," he said. You were stunned for a few seconds, as he knew your name. To you, he was a stranger, but you didn’t seem to be as unknown to him. The stranger walked back into the cave, and you followed him, confused. "In what way am I powerful with the Force? You should know it’s something to be practiced. If you don’t train it, it fades" you said, your voice still sharp as you scrutinized the man who seemed so at ease in your presence. You had long abandoned being a Jedi, retreating shortly after becoming officially part of the Order. If it hadn’t been for your sister leaving a trail of blood wherever she went, you would have stayed far away from that world. You had lost every Force ability, not having practiced it for many years. You vaguely remembered how to use a lightsaber, thanks to Sol, who had helped you recall the skills during the time you spent together, training with his young Padawan Jecki.
The stranger was seated next to what appeared to be a small campfire, while you kept your distance. He tasted the food he was cooking. You didn’t trust him; something about him made you suspicious, aside from the fact that he had decimated your team. "You know… The Jedi teach that there’s only one way to access the Force, and if you don’t do it their way, it fades. But there’s another way," he said gently, turning his gaze toward you. "Beneath the surface of consciousness, there are powerful emotions." "Anger. Fear. Loss…" he slowly mentioned the emotions you had learned to suppress, as you had been taught in the Order during your time as a Jedi Padawan. "…desire." The last emotion was spoken almost in a whisper as he took on a more serious and penetrating expression. You swallowed, observing him with disdain, though you subconsciously held your breath as he listed the emotions. "That’s the path to the dark side," the words came out acridly from your mouth.
The man’s expression darkened for a moment, but he quickly masked it with a mocking smile. "semantics… You Jedi are so closed-minded," he replied, turning back to the fire, stirring the stew he was cooking. "The light side isn’t the only way to access the Force. The dark side… amplifies emotions. It’s just another way to access the Force. A way… to freedom." His convincing tone almost seemed reasonable, though it was contrary to your way of thinking. "You killed my friends," your gaze grew even sharper and more bitter, as your hand still gripped the hilt of the deactivated lightsaber, seeking comfort in the familiar cold metal. The Sith’s words were like poison seeping into your mind, exploiting the insecurities you had always tried to suppress. "Friends? That’s what you call people who come to seek you only in moments of need and then ignore your existence?" His voice was laced with a mix of disdain and feigned compassion. Every word from this man was a blade sinking into your soul, touching raw nerves you had tried to ignore. You had been trained to combat fear, anger, desire—all emotions that, if left unchecked, could lead you down the dark path. But at that moment, you felt the internal storm growing, fueled by suffering and loss, a mourning.
"War isn’t pretty, y/n, sometimes…" he began, his voice dropping to a near-whisper as he stood up, beginning to walk toward you with determined steps, never breaking eye contact. "Sacrifices must be made for a greater good." He stopped just inches from you, his penetrating gaze studying you with a mix of cynicism and desire, as if challenging you to contradict him. Every fiber of his being radiated an irresistible force, a magnetism that seemed to envelop him like a shadow. He leaned slightly toward you, his warm breath brushing against your skin as his lips dangerously neared your ear. "Your friends," he whispered with a cold, almost contemptuous tone, "were just collateral damage." His words were like sharp knives—cutting and relentless—but the seductive tone with which he spoke betrayed an unsettling intimacy, as if he were confiding a dark secret that only you could understand.
The stranger leaned back slightly, just enough to meet your gaze. His dark eyes, deep as an abyss, stared at you with an intensity that seemed to penetrate directly into your soul. His face was close, too close, and his expression was serious, almost sorrowful, but there was no trace of remorse—only a dark understanding. "Why do you love people who can only go so far?" His voice dropped further, becoming a near-confidential whisper. "Who can’t go as deep as you can?" His gaze was intense, his eyes locked onto yours with an expression that seemed to reveal far more than his words had. There was a hidden desire, a need struggling to surface, but the man skillfully masked it, maintaining a subtle balance between cynicism and seduction.
You held your breath, feeling the weight of his words and his proximity. You knew that behind those words lay a darkness trying to corrupt you, but his allure was dangerously real. Your mind was conflicted, torn between repulsion at the Sith’s cynicism and the irresistible magnetism surrounding him. The man gave you a slight smile, a smile that never quite reached his eyes, as he pulled back just a few centimeters, leaving you teetering between temptation and inner struggle. "Maybe, y/n," he added in a mellifluous voice, "you’re destined for something more… something greater… something that I can show you." "I’m not my sister. I’m not so easily corrupted," you said, looking him straight in the eyes, trying to maintain control over yourself. Every fiber of your being struggled to suppress the tumultuous emotions the stranger had tried to awaken in you. Your heart pounded loudly, betraying you, but your face remained impassive, covered by a studied veil of disgust. With a slow, deliberate motion, you took a step back, putting distance between you, your gaze charged with superiority and defiance.
Qimir observed you with an impassive expression, but behind his dark eyes was growing interest, a sort of admiration for your resilience. To him, you were not like the other Jedi he had encountered, too weak or easily swayed. In you, he saw a potential acolyte, someone with an inner strength that could be nurtured and guided toward an even greater power. A subtle smile appeared on his lips, a nearly imperceptible curve that betrayed his pleasure at seeing you so determined. "You’re not like your sister, that’s true," he admitted with a tone that seemed both a compliment and a challenge. He took a step toward you, closing the space between you once more, but this time with an even more calculated calm, like a hunter who knows its prey. "But don’t mistake your determination for invulnerability," he continued, his voice soft and sharp as a blade. "The force you suppress within you, the force you’ve learned to stifle, is what could make you great—much greater than the Jedi could ever imagine. I see in you a potential that goes beyond the limitations of their dogma, and that is what frightens them." He stopped just a few steps from you, his gaze locked on yours, trying to pierce through the mask you had erected. "I’m not here to corrupt you," he whispered, his voice almost persuasive. "I’m here to offer you a choice, a path that the Jedi have always denied you. A road to a freedom you don’t yet know." You felt a shiver run down your spine, but you refused to show any weakness to him.
"I don’t need your freedom," you replied coldly, your voice steady despite the internal turmoil. "Your whispers don’t touch me. I know who I am and what I represent." "So sure of yourself" he murmured, with a tone that seemed to appreciate your determination. "But what do you truly represent, y/n? A Jedi struggling against her own nature, stifling the potential that could make her truly powerful? Oh… perhaps I should say, ex-Jedi?" he asked with ironic amusement, towering over your figure. You clenched your teeth, pointing the hilt of the deactivated lightsaber at his stomach.
He tilted his head slightly, amused, his gaze growing more penetrating as he sought to reach that part of you he knew existed—the part that thirsted for knowledge, power, something more. “You feel the Force, you perceive it in ways that even the Jedi cannot understand. And you know there is a greater, deeper power calling you. It is not betrayal to explore that possibility. It is… evolution.” His words, spoken with such conviction, seemed to echo in the cave, breaking through the barriers you had erected to protect yourself. You raised your lightsaber to meet the man's neck. “Do it… light it” he ordered, his tone of challenge making your blood boil. The Sith, on the other hand, seemed delighted by your anger, his sharp and contemptuous smile only fueling the tension. Qimir merely tilted his head slightly to the side, offering his neck completely to you, his penetrating gaze fixed on the lightsaber you pointed at him, waiting for the moment you would decide to ignite it.
“A Jedi… does not attack the unarmed" you said through gritted teeth, your voice a murmur of frustration and determination. Your mind was a tumult of emotions, but your will to remain true to your principles was steadfast. “Do you still think you’re a Jedi?” he asked, his voice low and enveloping, almost hypnotic. “Don’t you remember how your lightsaber changed color the last time? Do you still believe you must adhere to a code you’re questioning within yourself?” Those words hit like a punch to the stomach, evoking images you would have preferred to forget. The blade of your lightsaber, once glowing a pure blue, had trembled, taking on red hues like those of the man before you. You took a step back, your heart racing, desperately trying to put space between you and that voice which seemed to read into you with ruthless precision. But the man gave you no respite. His hand moved with surprising speed, gripping your arm in a gentle yet firm hold. His fingers closed around your wrist, not enough to hurt, but enough to keep you from withdrawing the saber from his neck. The contrast between the contained strength of his touch and the relaxed calm of his face left you breathless.
His penetrating gaze was fixed on your eyes, a subtle yet relentless challenge. “You know yourself that after what’s happened you couldn’t return to the Jedi even if you wanted to,” he whispered, his tone charming and confident, as if he had already won this silent battle. “Sol has seen it, don’t believe that after succumbing to rage and revenge you can return to a position that no longer belongs to you.” You felt trapped, not so much by his hand holding you but by the words resonating inside you. His words seemed to challenge every certainty you had until that moment. Every fiber of your being wanted to reject him, but there was something in his tone, in the way he looked at you, that made you doubt, even if just for a moment. Qimir moved closer, his warm breath against your skin, each movement calculated with lethal precision. “It’s not a matter of principles, y/n,” he continued, his tone now almost seductive. “That pain, that anger… this is what you are.” Your breath grew irregular, your heart pounding in your chest as you struggled to maintain control. “Let me go.” you threatened, your voice a low growl, but you knew there was a shadow of hesitation you couldn’t hide.
“Sol saw it… the Jedi saw it” he continued, his tone now softer but laden with cruel truth. “And for that, they will throw you away, again.” His piercing gaze cut into you, as your eyes took on an expression of anger and fear at his words. You felt his words like a sharp blade piercing through your defenses, and your gaze hardened, but you couldn’t hide the flicker of fear in your eyes. The fear that, deep down, he might be right. The fear that your Order, those you would give your life to protect, might indeed see you as a threat, something to be eliminated. The Sith sensed that shift within you, and his gaze became even more penetrating, probing every corner of your mind. It was as if he could see every weakness, every hidden thought, and he used them with a terrifying skill. “You can’t hide from what you are, y/n. The dark side isn’t a weakness… it’s your strength. And you know it.” You gritted your teeth, disgust and anger mixing into an explosive blend that pushed you closer to the edge. He seemed to know exactly which buttons to press; every word, every look was a sharp blade striking at your raw nerves. The tension inside you grew, turning into a knot that threatened to snap. Until you could no longer hold it back, and it was in that moment that you ignited the lightsaber, the glowing blade just a breath away from his neck. “It won’t be like that,” you hissed, your voice barely above a whisper, desperately trying to stay calm, though your eyes betrayed the mask of confidence you wore. “I will not succumb to the dark side.”
The man remained still, his mocking smile slowly widening as his eyes stayed fixed on yours, as if he were looking through you, reading every hidden thought. He swallowed slowly, a gesture that seemed almost like an invitation, a further provocation. The blade of your saber illuminated his face, but there was no trace of fear in his eyes, only a cold calm. “It’s not something you have to give in to… it’s inside you,” he said with that velvety voice of his, each word a whisper insinuating doubt into your certainties. His words struck you like a blow to the heart, breaking that fragile barrier you were desperately trying to maintain. “Your potential is immense,” he continued, lowering his voice to a warm, almost intimate whisper. Your gaze grew sharper as the subtle poison in his words sought to seep into your consciousness. The lightsaber blade barely touched his skin without making contact, his calm expression only annoying you. It was as if the threat had no effect on him, as if he knew you would never have the courage to go through with it. Every movement he made was slow, deliberate, calculated to keep you on edge, playing with your emotions like a master puppeteer. Anger bubbled within you, a fire growing ever stronger, fueled by his words, his confident smile, the way he seemed to control everything. You couldn’t deny it; there was a part of you that wanted to give in, that wanted to let go of the anger, the pain that burned so intensely. And he knew it; you could feel it in his voice, see it in his eyes.
“I understand…” His voice was a seductive whisper, just above a breath, as his hand rose with studied slowness, approaching yours without ever touching it. His eyes, which had been filled with impenetrable confidence until now, took on a new light, something deeper, almost vulnerable. “I’ve lost everything, y/n…” His gaze now seemed sincere, almost pleading for some strange reason. “But when you lose everything,” he continued, his hand now resting on yours, which still gripped the cold lightsaber handle. The contact was surprisingly gentle, a light pressure, but enough to make you feel the warmth of his skin against yours. His grip was soft but firm, and the contrast between his words and the apparent gentleness of the gesture made you waver. “That’s when you’re truly free,” he concluded, his voice a whisper carrying an inescapable weight, an invitation to surrender, to let go of everything that still bound you to the light. His gaze locked onto your eyes, deep, almost pleading, but not for pity: for understanding, for sharing. It was as if he wanted you to see the world through his eyes, to understand that the dark side wasn’t a condemnation but a liberation. His words struck you forcefully, penetrating your defenses once again with lethal precision. It wasn’t just a mental game; there was something genuine in the pain that lingered in his voice, a shadow of loneliness that echoed your own torment. And in that moment, the Sith you had seen as an implacable enemy became a figure that seemed to understand your suffering, your anger.
“The anger you feel, the pain that consumes you… you don’t have to fight it,” he continued, his tone calm and inviting. The tension between you was thick, almost suffocating. You felt the dark side’s pull toward him, the promise of freedom shining like an irresistible temptation. But there was something more in that man, something human, making it harder to you to ignore. The sincerity in his gaze, his voice dropping to an almost intimate whisper, made you doubt your certainties. His hand, warm against yours, made you feel dangerously close to an abyss you weren’t sure you wanted to avoid. You remained still, analyzing his words in your mind. The lightsaber still tightly gripped in your hand, your teeth clenched as you swallowed before sighing, thinking about what you should do. You deactivated the lightsaber and stepped away from him, pressing the hilt of the now-deactivated saber against his chest. You wouldn’t be deceived by his seductive words. You knew who you were and what you fought for. But, inside, a small part couldn’t help but wonder: what if he was right?
“You don’t know me to tell me these things. And as I’ve said, I’m not corruptible like my sister,” You hissed, your voice charged with a tension the man couldn’t help but appreciate. He let his smile spread slowly across his face, watching with almost amused interest as you deactivated the lightsaber and then pressed the hilt against his chest. The determination in your eyes, the resolve in your gesture, fascinated him. It wasn’t the reaction he had expected, but there was something in you, an inner strength, a resilience that intrigued him deeply. He could see the internal struggle you were facing, the conflict between the Jedi code and the emotions he had deliberately stirred.
The Sith, with a slow and measured gesture, placed the hilt of the deactivated lightsaber on a nearby rock. The smile on his face shifted into a smirk of satisfaction. “Perhaps I know you better than you think,” he admitted, his voice soft and filled with an intensity that echoed in the silence of the cave, where only the crackling of the fire could be heard. “I see who you are… who you could be. Your strength, your will…” His steps continued to close the distance between you, and you took a step back, trying to maintain the space between you. He gently took your wrist and pulled you slightly towards him, towering over your smaller figure. He looked at you with what might have seemed like admiration or… desire. You held your breath, swallowing, paralyzed by what could be the gentlest yet most dangerous of predators. The man brought his face closer to yours, the distance between you reduced to mere centimeters, his breath mingling with yours, warm and slow. His touch was once again firm but never painful. His eyes, dark as the abyss, glowed with an intensity that slowly captivated you. You found yourself hanging on his lips, almost asking for permission to breathe regularly. “It is rare…” he concluded. You took a deep breath, and the tension between you was growing increasingly palpable. His tone was like sweet poison, flowing slowly through your veins, making you doubt once more everything you had always believed. His hand slowly moved from your wrist to your side, stopping just below your ribs, where the wound, though treated, still throbbed painfully. The contact, though light, made you flinch, a mix of pain and something else you couldn’t quite identify. You felt the warmth of his body against yours, the tension between you becoming almost unbearable.
“You’re still loyal to someone who didn’t think twice about abandoning you to the enemy on Khofar some nights ago…” You swallowed at his words, feeling the knot in your throat that blocked every word and the weight in your stomach. “Deep down, you’re still searching for a master, someone to guide you… That life, you’ve never truly felt it as your own; they never understood you,” he continued, his gaze fixed on your eyes as if he could see inside you, reading every thought, every hidden emotion. “But I can.” For a moment, you felt yourself falter at those words. The tension between you was palpable, and you could not take your eyes off what must be your enemy, although your mind tried to keep lucidity. Your breathing was slow and irregular, each breath an attempt to hold back an invisible and unknown force that seemed to want to overwhelm you. The knot in your throat was getting tighter, blocking the words you wanted to say. Your eyes were mesmerized. There was an incredible intensity in those foxy eyes, a mixture of fear and fascination that left your heart inexplicably throbbing and mind confused. You failed to swallow trying to make words come out to counter his claims
“You are like me…” he whispered a short distance from your lips.
