MY LAST SEVEN MINUTES WITH YOU

synopsis: after death, it's said human brain lives for 7 minutes to replay its best memories (0.65k) warnings: major character's death, pure angst a/n: HOW COULD I LET THIS OPPORTUNITY FOR ANGST GO AWAY??!!!

the first minute was spent thinking about those nights you'd wake up feeling heavy, after looking down and finally coming to your senses, you'd notice Belphegor's body on top of yours. resting happily and so comfortably you'd feel bad about waking him, so you'd endure the difficulties of breathing to spend more time with him.

you'd also remember how he'd come up to you—pouting cutely after school has ended as a sign to go nap with him.

the second minute leads to one time you craved something in the middle of the night but couldn't put your finger as to what exactly; only after you've encountered Beelzebub munching some left overs at the refrigerator. he asked you why were you up so late, to what you answered honestly. not even ten seconds passed before Beelzebub offered you a tray of food.

those times you'd go to different restaurants to taste the new flavors added on their menu each time also helped to warm even if only a tiny bit—your slowly-going cold—heart.

the third minute comes and your brain goes to shopping days with Asmodeus, days where you could discover new sides of him, he'd open up little by little about some insecurities of his; but never forgot about your main purpose—refill your closet! sometimes you may have or may have not used Lucifer's card in order to achieve it...

there was also his constant flirting and teasing that never failed to make your knees go weak and butterflies make a party in your stomach.

the fourth minute shows a mixed of times where you'd comfort Satan when you're first trying to get him out of his anger issues towards himself, and times where you were reading together, either in silence or not—both of you had smiles on your faces.

going out after finishing study sessions or homework in general to feed the stray cats had become a habit, you even got to know each and every cats' name!

the fifth minute conducted your mind in a state of relaxation, bright colors blinded your eyes for a few moments, while you adjusted to it, you heard a familiar voice making happy and loud noises such unlikely of him. nevertheless, Leviathan couldn't be happier of you two winning the game's end after hours of hard work.

sometimes you'd have to rescue him from his brothers' bickering as you already knew how he felt about himself—you'd accompany him until the end.

the sixth minute took you to a scene where you felt your face contort into one of concern. Mammon was strung up from the ceiling again. on those occassions, even if he begged you to free him, as you knew his older brother was keeping a sharp eye on him, knowing better than oblige, you'd opt to strike up conversations to spend time with him.

to make him forget all those bad thoughts he'd get from time to time and continue being his loud but courageous and cute self.

the seventh, and for what's to mention—last minute. you had already stopped feeling your physical body at all, only feeling a couple of stungs here and there, but as the memories flowed, there was no pain.

there was no pain as Lucifer came to your mind—how difficult it was to gain his trust being the first impactful memory you thought about. from then on, you'd get flashes of various memories such as the times you'd have quiet and relaxing music sessions in his office or attend to packed with good-looking demons, restaurants only for you to be the only one receiving his compliments, even when he was pride's embodiment.

as you felt a last stung on your heart, your last breath was heard by those who filled your heart with warmth for the time you've met them and your last memories—to leave them resting with a smile on your features.

introducing one of my favorite and last (i think?) formats, my restaurants! i really like this ones 'cause you get to imagine whichever character you'd like based on the scenarios or headcanons, however, i try imagining all this by food (another of my favorite things besides writing) and the feelings or real life situations some of this remind me of. hope you enjoy it!

you don't really know what got into you this morning as soon as your eyes laid on the clock signaling two hours before getting to your work place. you really don't know why you got up with a sudden need to cook... but what exactly did you want to cook?

you looked through your mini recipe book you always kept safe on your phone's notes.

something salty? an omelette? fruit? a smoothie? strawberry smoothie?! you were close, your mouth drooling at the thought of every dish you got remember, but still couldn't find the perfect one.

"hotcakes! got it!" you whisper-shouted glad to finally know what you've been secretly craving for, careful to do not wake up your partner, who had told you last night has had a rough week. so now that's finally his day off, you could make a little treat for the both of you.

you put on your apron and started taking the ingredients as fast and as silently you could, getting everything done an hour later.

now the last detail was the missing topping, the strawberry mermalade.

maybe you got too engrossed making the hotcakes you didn't notice the last ingredient to satisfy your appetite was missing on your refrigerator.

"crap..." you searched everywhere, forgetting about having to keep the volume as low as possible, waking your spouse on the process.

just as he arouse from his sleep, the smell of something delicious creeped up on his nosetrills, fading any annoyance he might have had from someone interrumpting his resting time.

as he was about to get up and greet you, he heard the front door close in a hurry, well—more like shut.

he got to the dining room and saw the table was impeccable; two plates, cutlery, glasses filled with milk and on the center, a couple of hotcakes piles all fluffy and smooth looking.

a smile came to form on his face, thinking how marvelous and skilled you might have seemed like when cooking this, for the both of you, which was something that made his heart warm up even more.

he decided to look further around since he knew you couldn't have gone to work just yet, something might have been missing for everything to be perfect, which was something he's come to know and love about you. wanting to get everything as best as you could was always inspiring for him.

there was a small container, matching with the tableware set up, it was the only thing left on the bar which divided the kitchen from the dining room, empty.

he thought you were missing the maple syrup.

after some thinking on how you could react to him knowing about your surprise and getting bummed about it, he chose to try and sleep a bit more while waiting for you and act as if he knew nothing once you woke him by yourself.

minutes passed and like the giddy little child he felt like when waiting for a present he knew was coming, he finally heard the door opening and a relieved sigh scaping you.

he had to put on the best act now! he would not mess it up!

"hey honey-wake up, breakfast's ready"—he heard now closer to him, a hand shaking slightly his shoulder.

he had to pretend he had not been awake before you arrived from your emergency drive for ingredients, but the way he got up quickly from the bed didn't convince you much. still, you didn't give it more importance and led him to your suprise.

"wow! are these for us?!"—he exclaimed maybe a little to excited and made such excessive moves with his hands you couldn't believe him anymore.

"you got up earlier right?"—you asked, apparently not sad but a little disappointed with yourself for not getting everything right on the first try.

"u-uhm-n-no?"—he tried once more, but his nervousness by your piercing gaze now fixated on discovering his lies made him obvious.

"o-ok ok! maybe... but i swear i had a similar reaction to this one! i-i loved it sweetheart!"—now he got closer to embrace you.

all his and your concern dissolved as fast as the delectable and comforting hotcakes in your mouths, along the strawberry mermalade you explained you had to grab to make it worth it, you spent a lovely morning with your other half.

WAKE UP DAMN IT!

synopsis: on a scale from 1 to 100%, how difficult is it to wake them up? (1.08k)

warnings: contains SPOILERS from lesson 16, mentions of nightmares

lucifer

depends, but most of the times it's 1% since he's a light sleeper, he has to, so his brothers wouldn't burn the house down with any of their antics or so...

depends on the long working nights he pulls out for Diavolo's paperwork pushed on him. In this occasions he may become a 10% difficult to wake up.

his reaction may vary, since he's the one supposed to wake you and the rest of the brothers up, he'd be at first embarrased and surprised.

still, when he recognizes you, he relaxes for a brief moment and mutters a sleepy "thank you MC."

mammon

may be different from time to time.

the morning next to a horror special sleepover may lead to the both of your getting scared, so it's then a 3% difficult fully wake him up and a 10000% scary. why? Mammon would scream from your light touch on his shoulder to wake him and you'd scream because he did. It would go on like this for at least 2 more times in the same morning.

but when it had been a normal night or a casino one, he'd just whine at your attempts and he may have or have not tried more than once to pull you to bed and sleep again as if you were his sleeping pillow... so does it count as a 90% mostly?

leviathan

also depends as you can imagine.

when he, for some reason, does not watch anime or plays videogames 'till the alarm goes off, he may be a 1% difficult to wake. unlike Mammon, he'd get scared almost everytime. that you wake him. squeaking a little, he thanks and tells you he'll be ready in a moment.

although when he does sleep late, you'll find one of two sceneries; the most common of these being him still glued to the screen, headphones on, then you'll just have to take them off and he'll make a little sound surprised but won't budge further. the other one is him being fast asleep on his desk and the computer on, a bit of saliva on the corner of his lips threatening to fall.

those occasions it is recommendable to poke or shake just a little his shoulder and still you'll get a big reaction from him and that's it.

satan

i think he's kind of a heavy sleeper when he gets through the night reading. getting so engrossed on the story he even dreams with it and him being an active participant. then it'd be a 30% difficult to wake him.

your best shot to get him to open his eyes without being scared to dear life? scream from affar something that'd normally pick his interest. here are some examples:

"oh, Lucifer! did you just fall for that? i saw Satan make it! so his plan finally succeeded?!". now that it's a great one but you may have a more difficult time calming him down when you tell him that was a lie. "aww a little stray cat? sir what can I bring to you? oh? you want Satan to feed you? but he's asleep—" well he's not anymore and if it's true that a cat it's at the house's door expect to have a happy Satan for the rest of the day.

when he has a good night sleep, it's 1% difficult, normally he wouldn't miss any of their brothers or your shaking on his shoulder so that'd be enough.

asmodeus

to begin with, being the only one who has a more decent and planned sleep schedule, it's impressive how difficult it can be than his brothers. he's a 50% when sleeping 8 hours straight in the comfiest bed of the Devildom. this is because when he sees you, he starts whining and doing grabby hands to go to sleep with you now. oh, but if it is any of his brothers? "Asmo, you have to wake up, we have school—" "ok, going..."

but if he had a party night, it's a different story.

if he was not drunk and did a night routine at 5 a.m. to be awake at 6 or 7 a.m. it'd be a 20% difficult to get him, because he'd not be able to sleep quickly. so you'll end up hugging him to recharge him for the day. if he in fact, came drunk, it's a 60%, you'd find a semi-naked Asmo barely resting on the bed with make up all over the pastel-pink sheets. you better know if he had one of these night because Lucifer will not allow to bring him smelling like Demonus.

beelzebub

he normally has a good sleep because his work outs exhaust him after a big dinner plate he's a sleeping like a baby. for this he's 15% difficult to wake. light touches do nothing to him so you'd have to fully shake him to stir a reaction from him.

in the nights he has to go for a snack at 3 a.m. it decreases to a 7% because he could not stop thinking about going for another round of food. when he has a nightmare he's most likely to keep thinking about it for a complete day, so those days you'll find him awake by himself. ask him why has he been pacing out and looking really down with a snack on your hands.

belphegor

if he had a nightmare about his family in any way, from them dying, from him being trapped in the attic and fighting with Lucifer through the bars, to the day he killed you... he wouldn't be able to sleep again, so then it'll be a 2% difficult to wake. maybe he'd pout a little but it's his way to bring himself back to reality and see everyone's still alive and he's on his bed in his and Beel's room, so when you're not seeing, he sighs relaxed.

however, when he's having a good dream, it'd be 100% and might have to bring Beel to help you, wether it'd be waking him with his twins trust and playful tactics or carrying him around the house to get him to do something.

BONUS

the first time you're tasked to wake up Beelzebub, as you may have or not screamed when he turned to face you but still he did not open his eyes, you ran to get any other brother to help you.

thinking about a careful yandere! who'd try his very best at the beginning to not make any mistakes whenever you'd get to interact with each other, choosing very carefully each and every word he'd say to not upset or weird you out, even if you did though, he'd mentally note it and later reflect on his acts to not let it happen again.

with some complications at first, you two finish taking a picture with your lovely crowns made partially by usaida and mostly by you.

when you finish, as you ask him if he wants you to put it on him, he'll simply bow a little as his answer. careful to do not let it fall or mistreat it.

after sometime you'll notice a conflicted look on his face, with a faint pink on his cheeks, so you asked what's wrong. he plainly confessed he didn't quite understand how to make you one even as he watched the whole process and that there is no shop around that sells one for you.

at this you smile kindly, asking in return if he wants you to teach him.

by the end of the day you both have your crowns on display and maybe some five more you did just because you got excited seeing each other so happy.

she at first thought you only wanted to make a bouquet, but as you got on the first half of your craft, she got surprised at your skill.

just as you finished it, she would immediately ask you to place it on and ask how does she look. blushing shyly when you reply she looks gorgeous.

she'd try and get frustrated as the stems kept on moving and weren't easy to tide at all. you'd firstly help her calm down as you noticed she's nervous under your gaze as well.

after it's over, she'll ask you what your favorite flower is to maybe or maybe not surprise you later on.

synopsis: for one and other reason your gonna teach this three boys how to order food via app, how will it go?

eager to learn how to use the app. but embarrassed that he doesn't know how it works, though he really gives his best and pays attention to your explanation. he had probably been the one who suggested to use it and asked if you could teach him.

when the food arrives without further problem, he's more than satisfied and impressed. if there's been a mistake in anything you ordered, he'd brush it off and go on without making a fuss.

eager to get the fucking food right now. but still stubborn about not knowing how it works and saying he'd better make the food himself and it will be one hundred times better than the one they'll get for you.

when the food arrives safely and correctly, he'd finally tone down his reluctive attitude and may even consider the fact he didn't got tired by being the one making the day's food. if it did not, better pray for the deliverer and the restaurant's popularity.

eager to eat and then sleep. so teach him quick, order and maybe take a nap while the food comes? ok no, but he's a good listener and student so he'd learn fast.

when the food arrives in a good state, he'll be over the moon and will start ordering via app almost four times per week. eventually if there's any mistake, he'd probably be understanding and depending on his mood and the food he recieved, he'd re-order or eat it away.
