“YOU’RE REALLY PISSING ME OFF Y’KNOW THAT OIKAWA. ━━━” Iwaizumi’s eyebrows twitched as him and Oikawa walked the schools’s hallways needing to pick up Oikawa’s nephew and Iwaizumi’s younger brother from Aoba Johsai High’s babysitter club.

Not many knew this but the school has had a Babysitter Club for quite a while now, primarily to cater to the needs of the busy parents who work at the academy, Iwaizumi’s mother being one of them.

Exactly why he was given the chore to pick his younger brother up from the club room and head home after volleyball practice. Oikawa on the other hand drops his nephew off at the babysitter club whenever volleyball practice ends late.

“Yeah whatever, it’s not my fault really!!” Oikawa rolled his eyes trying to ignore the death stare that was being engraved at the back of his neck.

“Y/N-Chan didn’t have a problem with it so neither should you.” He whined as Iwaizumi raised his eyebrows when hearing a name he had not heard off before.

It didn’t take long before the two made it outside the club room that surprisingly didn’t have much noise coming out of it. Well considering, it was late so it did make sense that most of the children would’ve went home with their parents.

“Y/N???” Iwaizumi asked before Oikawa quickly opened the sliding door that revealed a colourful and childish room which was definitely made for children.

“Taka! It’s time to go.” Iwaizumi shouted in an aggressive tone of voice the second the door had slid open, causing everyone in the room to be taken aback.

Though what caught his curiosity was a shorter female who stood beside the door him and Oikawa had just entered by. She seemed to be wearing the signature Aoba Johsai High uniform. Though he swore he had never seen her before.

“Who are you?” Iwazumi asked before turning his eyes the Conner of the room there he saw Oikawa’s nephew, Takeru and his younger brother, Taka.

“I-I’m the new helper here, Y/N L/N. Third year.” She said sounding extremely nervous. His eyes widened when seeing the girl turn her body around to face him…

Getting a good look at her he came to realise one thing, her beauty was captivating. She had her hair up in ponytail. While she wore the dark brown dress pants, a cream-colored sweater vest, matched with dark red tie, a baby blue, long sleeve button-down shirt being worn under.

“Yahoo, Y/N-Chan. I didn’t know you started today. That’s odd how come I didn’t see you around.” Oikawa greeted with a smile and wave. Causing Iwaizumi to be slightly shocked and curious on how the two knew each other.

“Actually I’m starting tomorrow, I’m just helping out here a day earlier.” She smiled avoiding eye contact and fiddling with her fingers.

“This is Hajime Iwaizumi, same year.” Oikawa introduced before wrapping his arm around the shorter males shoulder and leaning forward.

“I heard there would be a transfer student in our class. Would that be you, then? Good to meet you then.” Iwaizumi said. Despite looking scary he seemed to be a decent guy.

“Th-The pleasure’s all mine…” Y/N continued to fiddle with her fingers. Iwaizumi noticed it seemed to be a small nervous habit she had developed.

“Sorry. My club kept me out late. Mom’s still grading papers so I came to get him instead.” He apologised before looking down to see his younger brother wrapping his tiny arms and clinging onto Y/N’S foot.

“Big bro! I’m not goin’ home yet!” Taka yelled out, rubbing his face on Y/N’s leg while his grip on her only tightened. Acting like he was glued onto the girl.

“I told you we’re going home.” Iwaizumi said sternly, while Oikawa and his nephew stood beside the two brothers used to their complicated relationship.

“No! No! No! I’m gonna play with Y/N some more.” Taka cried before running or more specifically waddling towards his older brother and punching his leg.

“No throwing tantrums!” Iwaizumi scolded before harshly hitting Taka on the head, causing the toddler to cry and throw a fit.

“Hey, You didn’t have to hit him..” Y/N fiddled with her fingers , a nervous smile on her lips after seeing the volleyball player’s scolding method.

“Words aren’t enough to convince him.” Iwaizumi stated, while ignoring Taka’s cry at the same time.

“Big bro, you meanie! Meanie! Meanie!” Taka shouted. Tears streaming rapidly down his cheeks.

“Hey L/N, Mines handled you should pay attention to your own.” Iwaizumi pointed towards the Conner of the room where a toddler , around Taka’s age sat silently holding a children’s story book.

“He looks lonely all by himself.” He stated. The toddler had short, light-colored hair and a sleepy look on his face. The exact opposite of Y/N who have a very sweet and gentle look on her face.

Although the two didn’t exactly look the same, like him and Taka who were somewhat identical. The two were definitely siblings.

“Right.” She nodded. Sweating at how Iwaizumi picked up his crying little brother by the shirt, trapping between his left arm despite his cries and disagreements.

“See you.” The two third years turned around waving a goodbye to the girl.

“Bye Iwaizumi-san, Oikawa-san.” She waved watching the figures of the two slightly disappear the further they walked out the door, before turning around and walking towards her younger brother.

Iwaizumi watched at how Oikawa happily listened to his nephew who was speaking of some type of video game that came out. Though, truthfully something had been going through his head.

“I didn’t know you two knew eachother?” Iwazumi muttered, catching the attention of the brown-haired setter. Who was slightly surprised about his sudden question.

“Who? Me and Y/N?” Oikawa asked. Seeing how Iwazumi stayed silent but had a stern look was more than enough to answer him.

“I met her once in the babysitter room, when she was taking care of Takeru. We had a small conversation and that’s it… Though I have heard a few things…” He answered, making Hajime’s eyebrows raise.

“Apparently both her parents didn’t make it out a plane-crash, so the chairwoman had put her and her younger brother under her care. That’s why she’s such a sudden transfer.” Oikawa continued shocked at how fast rumours can spread.

“Though she’s a total cutie. Definitely worth to get to know. She’ll fit right in so we don’t gotta worry about a thing.” Oikawa smiled stretching his arms, blushing. On the other hand Iwaizumi only sighed at how quick he was to change subjects.

“Damn Oikawa you Idiot-” He was cut off by a yell coming from behind them. Causing them to pause and see none other than the person they were just talking about.

“Iwaizumi!! Oikawa!! Please show me to the closet hospital with a pediatrics ward!” Y/N seemed to be out of breath as she held her younger brother who was covered by her school jacket. It seemed he had a concerningly high fever.

Oikawa turned to look at Iwaizumi, nodding at eachother. Oikawa turned to grab Taka of Iwaizumi hands. Deciding he’ll be the one to take care of the children while Hajime guides Y/N to the hospital.

“Sure. Just follow me.” Iwaizumi ran with Y/N following behind him. Thankfully it didn’t take a while before they reached a hospital.

He stayed outside while Y/N stayed in the paramedics room with Kotaro. Though secretly he did try listening in to their conversation.

“It’s probably just a fever caused by stress from a change in environment.” The doctor said, placing a hot towel on kotaros head.

“His sleeping now, but the fever should go down after a bit of rest. No need to worry.” He smiled moving his hand on top of Y/N’S head to reassure her.

Thankfully, it wasn’t something to be worried about. Though the stress and panic had seemed to get to the girls mind. Causing her to want to step outside for a breather.

She hoped to find Iwaizumi waiting outside, so she could thank him, but she couldn’t find him. Giving her the idea to think he went home.

She sat herself down outside on the staircase, not caring that it was cold and she was shivering. She felt tears start to fill the brim of her eyes. Until a sudden interruption caused her to snap out her thoughts.

A neck scarf was thrown onto her head, messing up her hair. She looked up to see Iwaizumi staring at her not failing to miss any detail about her gorgeous face.

“You’ll get a cold… so any news?” He asked, handing her a bottle of water before seating himself down on the steps right next to her.

The scarf fell onto her lap before she then picked it up and wrapped it around her neck. slightly flustered of his actions.

“It was just a normal fever, nothing out the ordinary.” She replied sounding much calmer than before. Though that didn’t stop her with fiddling around with her own fingers.

“I’m glad.” He said. The both of them continued to stare in front of them in a comfortable silence. Until Y/N tapped Iwaizumi on the shoulder.

“Thank you, Iwaizumi.” She whispered, as the two of them finally held eye contact, causing the volleyball player to smile.

Soon the entrance door opened behind them revealing kotaros cries and a nurse trying to calm him down.

“Thank goodness! Kotaro’s big sister! He started crying the moment he woke up, and he just wouldn’t stop.” The nurse explained as Y/N and Iwaizumi had lifted themselves from the steps.

Kotaro’s cries became softer, the instant he saw Y/N who reached out grabbing Kotaro out of the nurses grasps and hugging him.

“You’re free to take him home now..” The nurse told them not wanting to cause anymore problems for the two who she assumed to be a ‘couple.’

When walking out Iwaizumi was curious to see Y/N pause her footsteps to slowly unwrap the scarf that sat on her neck. He wasn’t aware that he gave her the impression that he wanted it back. Cause in reality he likes seeing it on her.

“Keep it..” He muttered, wrapping the scarf back on her before placing his hand back in his pocket. Y/N stood there flustered when seeing the Volleyball ace walk in front of her like nothing happened. Though in reality there was an unnoticeable tint of pink shown on his cheeks he did not want her to see

“Are you alright to go home by yourself? I would walk you home but I need to pick up my younger brother from Oikawa’s.” He asked turning behind him to face the gorgeous girl.

“I’ll be fine.” She smiled, her eyes glistening while looking down at Kotaro who was soundly asleep in her arms.

“See you tomorrow, right?” He asked, aware that she was starting Aoba Johsai High tomorrow but still wanted to make sure.

“I’ll be looking for you.” She smiled, watching Iwaizumi walk away. Y/N looking for him, He wouldn’t mind that. In fact he’d like that a lot…
