When I googled the phrase on the first page 思うゆえに、思うがままに what came up in the search results was the phrase "Cogito ergo sum" (I think therefore I am)

But, apparently this is how it's written

我思う、ゆえに我あり

Although the search results showed that translation, the meaning on the page is different, so I translated accordingly.

I had a tough time with one of Sakuya's lines because it trails off and it's vague as to what he might have been saying. His last line in Japanese says オレがオレ達のほうが... Because there is no verb, it's vague as to what he was implying, he only says "I" then he says "us", referring to the others in team Melancholy. So yeah, these were the notes regarding this chapter. One Piece Reread -Ch. 138

THIS. This moment right hear is when the one piece brain worms fully took root. I got into the anime and manga through the live action, so I already knew I would like up through Arlong Park. And I like the arcs after it as well, but this scene (honestly just all of Drum Island) was what fully sold me, when I knew I would be sinking months of my time into catching up with this series.

Just. The determination. The dedication to get Nami and Sanji to that doctor to the point of climbing up 15,000 FEET of sheer cliff face in a fucking blizzard. The love that Luffy has for his crew is on full display here. The fact that he gave his coat to Nami on top of hers to keep her as warm as possible. Leaving him in just his sleeveless vest and shorts. The fact that he refuses to to leave Sanji behind and carries him between his TEETH to get him up that mountain. The fact that this took THREE FUCKING HOURS.

I just adore how much Luffy so clearly loves and cares for his crew - his family - that even when staring up at an impossibly tall cliff with ice cold wind and snow whipping around him, he simply kicks off his sandals and starts climbing.
