yeah... he does want to love and be love by his only family left :(( not being able to kill sesshomaru even after being very badly poisoned by him with a clear intent to kill
There's some deep considerations for this page of the manga:
Because at first it sounds like no matter what family is family. Like "yeah, your brother murdered an entire village and we're totally sleeping in the hut of a dead family, buuuut no matter what he's done, that still makes him your little brother. That fact and tie can't be broken."
Which is an interesting take, when you consider that Inuyasha's only living family is Sesshomaru, who hates him and has essentially abused him in every single facet of his life (remember the Unmother incident? Tell me that's not overly fucked up, I'll wait), but at the same time, it's almost like he's implying that family is still family and you're always going to want to love them.
And now I'm just envisioning sad little puppy Inuyasha looking for love from someone who should've loved him and then did the complete opposite.
Look, I made myself sad.
