Unhinged Gravity Falls x Dandadan AU that wouldn’t leave my head. Holding two hyperfixations is about chemically reacting them with each other, actually. Details below:

Pacifica doesn’t believe in ghosts, but she believes in demons. Raised in a staunch household, her parents have raised her to always be wary of the demonic cults lurking in town. She’s headstrong by nature but has done her best to remain pious and obedient all her life.

Dipper believes in ghosts but doesn’t believe in demons. Lonely and isolated, he studies the paranormal with his great uncle who maintains a theory that supernatural activity has nothing to do with the forces of evil and everything to do with restless human spirits trying to finish their business. 

After a heated debate, the two teens dare each other one night. Dipper finds remnants of an ancient cult in a cave and reads a summoning chant. Pacifica performs a seance in her ancient mansion. To both of their surprise, Dippee winds up possessed by Bill Cipher, the dream demon, and Pacifica is cursed by a vengeful lumberjack ghost

I’ve been thinking about watching gaobam during my invader zim kick, and then I was also thinking about gravity falls, but there was part of me that didn’t want that to pull me away from iz….. WELL PROBLEM SOLVED!! I am so genius >:) I’ve been watching both shows lately and having a blast.

It's been years since I've actually posted something on Tumblr, but a recent fanfic has given me a burst of inspiration :

I present very rough sketches of Jon and Martin in the Gravity Falls Art style (feat. Soos, Abuelita, Ford, and Delicious Huevos Rancheros)

I haven't, like, *perfected* their designs, and they're def not 100% the GF artstyle, but I like how these have turned out so far! Also, I'm very unsure if the Spanish part for Abuelita is actually right, so apologies to any Spanish speaking peeps if it is grammatically weird or just completely incorrect! It's also my first time doing ALT text, so feedback for that is more then welcome as well!

I've had these turnarounds on my patreon ever since I made them, but finally, TONIGHT, I made enough time for myself to put together a casting call for their voices!! It's my first ever casting call, and first time making an animation with my own writing and audio. I'm nervous AND excited!!

I'm planning on making a short animation with these guys to get my animation sea legs again. Then, afterward, if all goes well, I'd love to make a second, longer one!! Cuz I have Ideas >:)

Ramble and meme thingie under the cut!

Drawing these guys was SO MUCH FUN!! Ironically, Dib, although I've drawn the hell out of him, was the hardest to get right. And honestly, he still doesn't look right to me. I think he's so specific in my mind, that he's hard to really pinpoint anymore. But I'm hoping that when I'm actually animating, he'll fall into place. Dipper turned out fine, his profile view isn't though. His posture isn't correct. And his hat isn't correct in the back. I tried to fix this a few hours ago before posting buuut for technical complications with the program I was using, I couldn't. Oh Well. Billy actually turned out the best, imo!! HE'S SUCH A CUTIE PIE!!! My billy design was HEAVILY inspired by the wonderful gaobam fanart by @sockopunch!! Here's a post with their older billy+mandy design! I'm gonna be honest, I was initially inspired in a vague sort of way, and then when the time came to color him in, I subconsciously chose the same colors and everything 😭 I may tweak these designs when the time comes to animate. But for now, this is how they're looking.
