if you saw my previous post about mohammed shehab’s campaign, here’s an update. mohammed has posted on a new account that, due to issues with taxing on gofundmes in germany where the previous campaign was located, he has had to remake the campaign.

this new campaign has a higher goal and i’m not sure if he’ll be able to access the funds from the previous campaign or if it will be refunded or something, from what he wrote on his new post it sounds like he can’t access it right now, so here’s a link to his new one. obviously the higher goal and the fact that it’s starting from scratch throws a wrench in my original plans to post a fact for every milestone reached until the goal was met as i simply don’t have that many drafts ready, but hopefully people will help even without an incentive from me.

I'd like to share a thought-provoking piece of information about the Palestine/Israel conflict, which is a departure from my usual blog content. I reside in Germany, where the government supports Israel, asserting that it is their rightful homeland and they have the right to defend it as the original inhabitants.

Now, onto the fascinating fact. In Germany, we have "Stolpersteine" (stumbling or tripping blocks/stones) made of brass and embedded in the ground. These can be found in every city, glistening gold as a reminder of our history. These stones bear the names of Jewish individuals who resided in the respective locations, along with their ages, the age at which they perished or fled the country, and their destination if they fled.

Many of these stones, dating from the late 1930s to 1941, list "Palestine" as the destination where people fled, for example: "Here lived Moritz Katz, Born 1871, Fled to Palestine 1939." This information comes from a stone set in the ground in Berlin (see picture above).

It's surprising to me how a country that once welcomed so many refugees and guests is now vilified. Gratitude seems to be in short supply.

everyday for the past two months it's been waking up in the morning to the most horrifying war crimes being committed by a fascist colonial power run by a death cult, followed by said power fabricating the most offensive and easily debunked lies to excuse said war crimes, then the entire fucking world media believing them and waving around their pathetic little crocodile tears as i pass by the news that the soldiers of that world power shot an old woman in the entrance of a hospital and used her as bait to shoot any medic who tried helping her, followed by a video of parents looking through the charred remains of children's limbs and scalps trying to recognize their own. and then i go to brazilian TV and find the news that a brazilian palestinian has finally been able to leave Gaza and all the reporters wanna focus on is how they're probably a terrorist because of these posts from 2015 where they condemn israel's actions. and then i look at the presidents of the only few nations who have the power to stop this genocide with a single phone call and how they entirely refuse to do shit about it, just to be told on tumblr dot com that praying for the dismantlement of the state of israel is evil and inconsiderate because don't you know they suffered really really badly in the past (but also please don't google the rates of poverty of holocaust survivors and how they're treated by the government of the country that was supposed to be a safe haven. well at least george from pennsylvania can move and have a beautiful view of the burned olive tress from the multigenerational house he stole in the west bank, and isn't THAT what really matters)
