Born from Toxicity: A Gift Unveiled
In the cradle of chaos, where darkness resides,
Chosen ones awaken, with wisdom as their guide.
Born into families, tangled in strife,
They carry a spark, igniting new life.
Toxic roots may anchor, with thorns all around,
Yet within lies a power, in silence profound.
Through pain and through struggle, they learn to embrace,
The depth of their being, their own sacred space.
The lesson of love, though twisted and frail,
Teaches strength and resilience, to rise when we fail.
From shadows they blossom, with hearts open wide,
Transforming their sorrow, they refuse to hide.
For in every wound, there’s a story untold,
A path forged in fire, where the brave are bold.
The gift lies in knowing the truth of their worth,
That light can emerge from the depths of the earth.
They gather the pieces, the fragments of pain,
Transforming the darkness, like sun after rain.
With empathy flowing, they seek to mend,
The cycles of hurt, to heal and transcend.
So here’s to the chosen, who walk through the fire,
With courage and purpose, they rise ever higher.
For born into toxicity, they learn to create,
A legacy of love, transforming their fate.
Through trials and tribulations, their spirits ignite,
As they break down the barriers, revealing the light.
In the depths of their being, they find their true song,
In the dance of the universe, they finally belong.
Understanding the Journey of the Chosen Ones Born into Toxic Families
In a thought-provoking video from the YouTube channel "Vibration of the Universe," the topic of individuals often referred to as "chosen ones" and their experience of being born into toxic families is explored. This discussion delves into the complexities of these situations, presenting the idea that such experiences, while challenging, can be reframed as profound gifts. Below, we outline the key themes and insights presented in the video.
1. **The Concept of the "Chosen One"**
The video begins by defining the term "chosen one." This concept typically refers to individuals who feel a unique calling or purpose in life, often characterized by heightened sensitivity, awareness, and a deep sense of empathy. These individuals may feel different from their peers, often possessing gifts or talents that set them apart. The video posits that many chosen ones are born into dysfunctional or toxic family environments as part of their life’s journey.
2. **Toxic Family Dynamics**
Toxic family dynamics can include a range of harmful behaviors and patterns, such as emotional abuse, manipulation, neglect, and control. The video emphasizes that growing up in such environments can be incredibly challenging, leading to feelings of worthlessness, confusion, and emotional pain. However, these experiences also serve a purpose in shaping the chosen one's character and resilience.
3. **Transformational Gifts of Adversity**
One of the central messages of the video is that the struggles faced by chosen ones in toxic families can ultimately be transformed into powerful gifts. The narrative encourages viewers to view their hardships as opportunities for growth. Adversity can cultivate strength, empathy, and wisdom, allowing individuals to develop a greater understanding of themselves and others.
The video highlights how overcoming difficulties can lead to a unique perspective on life, enabling chosen ones to become healers, mentors, and guides for others who face similar challenges. This transformation underscores the concept of "post-traumatic growth," where individuals emerge stronger from their struggles.
4. **Empathy and Sensitivity as Strengths**
Chosen ones are often characterized by their heightened sensitivity and empathy. The video discusses how these traits, which may have been criticized or dismissed in toxic environments, are actually valuable strengths. Sensitive individuals can sense the emotions and pain of others, making them natural healers and advocates for change.
By embracing their sensitivity, chosen ones can channel their experiences into meaningful action, creating a positive impact in the lives of others and contributing to the healing of collective wounds.
5. **The Power of Self-Discovery and Healing**
The journey of the chosen one involves significant self-discovery and healing. The video emphasizes the importance of recognizing one’s worth, breaking free from toxic patterns, and reclaiming personal power. This process often includes:
- **Setting Boundaries**: Learning to establish healthy boundaries is crucial for protecting oneself from further harm and fostering self-respect.
- **Seeking Support**: Engaging in therapy or support groups can provide valuable tools for healing and personal growth.
- **Practicing Self-Care**: Prioritizing self-care and nurturing one’s emotional well-being are essential steps in the healing journey.
6. **Embracing a New Legacy**
Ultimately, the video concludes with a powerful message about embracing a new legacy. Chosen ones have the opportunity to rewrite their narratives, transforming their pain into purpose. By healing their wounds, they can break generational cycles of toxicity and create a healthier, more loving environment for future generations.
This legacy of healing and empowerment can inspire others, encouraging them to rise above their circumstances and find their own paths to fulfillment.
Conclusion
The video from "Vibration of the Universe" offers a profound exploration of the experiences faced by chosen ones born into toxic families. By reframing adversity as a gift and embracing their unique strengths, these individuals can embark on a transformative journey toward healing and self-discovery. The insights shared in this video serve as a reminder that even in the depths of pain, there lies the potential for growth, resilience, and a brighter future.
For anyone who resonates with the struggles of being a chosen one, the message is clear: your journey is valid, your experiences have meaning, and you possess the power to create a legacy of love and healing.

The difference becomes easier with age and experience. Until you gain those things for yourself, you're supposed to rely on the guidance of those who already have them. Too bad that even the best parents are imperfect and limited creatures.
sometimes your distress does indicate you should stop and respect your limitations. at other times it's more of a baby aquatic mammal being introduced to water for the first time thing. Too bad the difference is so hard to tell.

That Little Boy Used to Be Theirs
The minute the hammer pounded the bell, Papa Smurf with his two googly eyes peered from his two-dimensional Smurf Village on the little boy’s lunchbox as if to wish him luck as he stepped foot in the room of no return. For if what the luminaries say is true that the gray areas of the boy’s mind would whittle away day after day which in turn would endow him with the gift of an omnidirectional…

The Wisdom of Our Elders: What Young People Can Learn from the Older Generation
Shaina Tranquilino
October 18, 2023
It's easy for younger generations to overlook the invaluable wisdom that our elderly possess. Their life experiences, resilience, and unique perspectives can provide us with valuable insights and lessons that go beyond what we learn in textbooks or through digital platforms. In this blog post, we will explore some essential life lessons young people can learn from the elderly.
1. Patience and Perspective:
One of the most remarkable qualities older individuals possess is their patience. Having lived through different eras, societal changes, and personal challenges, they have learned the art of perseverance. By observing their ability to navigate through life's ups and downs with grace and composure, young people can develop a greater sense of patience when facing their own obstacles. Furthermore, spending time with the elderly allows us to gain perspective on what truly matters in life; they often emphasize cherishing relationships and finding joy in simple moments.
2. Importance of Human Connection:
In an era dominated by social media and virtual interactions, genuine human connections are easily overlooked. However, older generations understand the significance of building strong interpersonal relationships based on trust and empathy. Spending quality time with them teaches young people about active listening, compassion, and understanding – skills that foster lasting bonds rather than superficial connections.
3. Resilience in Adversity:
The elderly have faced numerous hardships such as wars, economic crises, loss of loved ones, and health issues. Yet, despite these trials, they demonstrate incredible resilience in overcoming adversity. Learning from their experiences reminds young people that setbacks are part of life's journey but should not define one's destiny. Witnessing how the elderly cope with difficulties instills hope and inspires younger generations to face challenges head-on.
4. Embracing Simplicity:
Modern society often glorifies materialism and consumerism while neglecting the simple pleasures in life. The elderly, having lived through times of scarcity and limited resources, appreciate the value of simplicity. From enjoying a cup of tea in solitude to finding joy in nature's beauty, they remind us that true happiness lies in appreciating life's little treasures. Young people can benefit from this wisdom by reassessing their priorities and pursuing a more balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.
5. Sharing Personal Histories:
The elderly have witnessed significant historical events and societal changes that textbooks cannot fully capture. By actively engaging with them and listening attentively to their stories, young people gain an invaluable understanding of the past. This firsthand knowledge helps foster a sense of connection to history, cultivates empathy towards others' experiences, and encourages critical thinking about current social issues.
In our fast-paced world, it is crucial for young people to recognize the immense value that older generations bring to the table. By embracing patience, cherishing human connections, learning resilience from adversity, embracing simplicity, and exploring personal histories with the elderly, we not only honour their legacy but also enrich our own lives with timeless wisdom. Let us bridge the generational gap and celebrate the lessons passed down by our elders – ultimately creating a harmonious society where both age groups learn from each other's experiences for mutual growth and understanding.

“I know life and fate are scary, but I wanna be legendary!”
The way Telemachus dreams of fighting mythical beasts to cope with his inability to protect his mother… the way he dreams of being a legendary warrior because that is how he imagines the father he never had… the way, even within a fantastical world, that imagined fantastical enemies serve almost as an escape from the real dangers he faces…
Is it just me, or does he feel like… us? I listen to ‘Legendary’ and think of myself as a child, I think of the way fantasy and fiction can be an escape, a source of hope and wonder and beauty for people who have never felt strong before, I just…
(Deep breaths. Stares into space for a bit.)

Edwin is way too fucking kind. Like, picture this. You JUST got dragged down into a pit that took you 70 years prior to escape and, while down there, you run into the very boy that SENT you there. Yes, it was supposed to be a “prank”. But it was never EVER a good one, even if it did turn out to be fake. You were dragged out of your bed, tied up and gagged like a pig, and held down. That “prank”, since it’s inception, wasn't funny or harmless. (Not even getting into how bad it would be to be labeled a homosexual in the 19-fucking-hundreds.)
Then you get dragged into The Pit™️ for 7 decades and tortured beyond comprehension. Now you're finding out its cause the boy ASSSUMED you were like him then ASSUMED he assumed wrong. All that because the boy couldn't handle you not being what he assumed you were, you didn't even know he assumed that! You didn't even know HE was that!
Edwin had every right to berate Simon and leave but he DIDN’T. He offered him a hand — all but begged Simon to join him — and promised a salvation no one had offered him before. (Before Charles I mean.) He’s just so kind it breaks my heart. Like, yes, he’s a petty bitch; but he read to a dying boy to comfort him in the same year he escaped Hell. He upended his entire afterlife to go save Becky Aspen despite his protests. He offered his killer a helping hand.
Someone get this jerk a break oh my GOD he deserves one.
#tetris belies it’s wisdom upon thee#DBDA#dead boy detectives#edwin payne#ALSO#him helping people in general#he could've had a somewhat peaceful afterlife#yet he risks facing Death nigh everyday to help others#‘but that's so he can beg leniency-’#AND SO HE CAN HELP OTHERS#HE CAN HAVE A SELFISH AND AELFLESS REASON FOR THE SAME THING#also him helping banish DEMONS#I can't b the only 1 who thinks that's insane#demons tortured him for decades but sure lets go face one head in to save another person we don't know#HE’S SO GOOD I AHIS SKWBEIWN#😭😭💞

Actually I don’t think you are actually fr an adult author if you can’t write something without a s*x scene in it
#<-trying to avoid our ancient enemy the evil bots#but literally. i will pick a book off the general fiction side and every time completely unnecessarily there will be such a scene where it#has no business being for the story#I’m about ready to fight over this#there’s been exactly one book out of the dozen or so I’ve done from that side that did not have it and it was Patron Saint of Second Chance#by Christine Simon#and I don’t think Road to Roswell my belovedest did either#but listen I think it’s a sign that something in society is fundamentally broken when I can pick too random books#and one is a cozy bookstore romance thing#and one is a weird travel fantasy that has nothing to do with romance#as a plot#and then both of them as soon as the girl comes across a guy and is like he’s likable#the next step is randomly try to sleep with him#evil evil evil evil#let’s not.#stop using sex scenes as shortcut for romance! it doesn’t work! you won’t have any!#this is wisdom and you should listen to it!!#I’m also gonna include the use of f-bombs in this post because if you can’t write a fantastical Victorian travel novel in fairy tale#style language without randomly using f bombs like do you even have a grasp of the language#those don’t belong in this story’s word set use your vocabulary!!#(there are times it makes sense in the story and the language catalog for the story and/or character for both of these but if you can’t do#story without them when they don’t belong that’s lazy I think#I’m throwing down the glove to adult authors I think they should try#this also goes for Jodi Picoult for whom the first thing did fall into the subject material but should not have been like the whole bull an#meat of that story at the expense of the actually interesting material#(couldn’t finish By Any Other Name between that the anachronistic feminism and the massive chip on her shoulder that seemed to be her subje#material

Reels from a Neon Midnight
The words that your Lola used to recreate a portrait of you in my mind is not how I picture you now. She often stutters when the thought slips by her. She used to say that getting knocked down isn’t the issue, life hands us a handful of fist, no it wasn’t that—it was your refusal to get back up that killed you. Unlike you, she stood there, she spoke as if she were a curator and her body a museum…

Okay but do you think the people who were really close to odysseus during the Trojan war had a running bet for when odysseus claimed to have a vision from Athena if it was true or not? Because half the time he was just lying about that.
#the iliad#greek mythology#Odysseus#Then lying odysseus said “I'll tell you the truth”#He did have a lot of visions /being possessed by Athena moments that's true#But had an equal amount of moments where he was just straight up lying because a. They weren't listening to him#B. They were being stupid annoying#C. He felt like it#D. For a personal vendetta to get revenge on one of his comrades#This is a big part of why I'm headcanoning eurylochus thinking ody was lying about being athenas student in my precanon stuff#The other commanders (plus euro and polites) having bets on if this vision was real#Diomedes is judge because he's also in contact with Athena but what the others have not realized#Is that diomedes is also a shit head and does not have many opportunities to get back at his bullies#So while he does get confirmation from Athena he does just also straight up lie to the others to suit his own agendas#And nobody was more than mildly offended by odysseus doing this because unlike everybody else's visions (excluding dios)#It was generally the right call to make and the gods actually imparting wisdom instead of fucking with them to be dicks#And if it wasn't it was generally of either a. No consequences either way or b. Still the right strategic call#Everybody after odysseus had them reorder the camp to frame that one guy and then took way to much pleasure in stoning him to death:#So he made up that vision from Athena right? He definitely did that just to kill this guy yes?#Agamemnon: obviously but while we all liked that guy better odysseus is the better strategic so we're going to let it slide

the thing that gets me about storm petrels. they are so small (the least storm petrel is the smallest seabird) and yet they live out in the open ocean most of the time. when i see them flying they look so fragile and dainty and i just cant imagine how they survive out there
what's more is that they are long-lived for their size. european storm petrels have an average lifespan of 11 years, while leach's average is 25 years (with a maximum of 38 years old)
#contact call#some of those leach's i saw today could've been older than me!#tubenoses tend to have long lifespans in general. consider wisdom the albatross for instance! she's 72 i believe#albatrosses are big lads though. pretty wild to imagine a petrel the size of a hot dog getting to nearly 40 years
