had about half of the most recent critical role episode left, decided to watch some to calm down before sleep.
that was two hours ago bc holy shit was i uh. not expecting the whole last hour. holy fucking shit, did ashton ever push that damn red button. we got the perches. we got sam hiding in the hood. we got the book-on-the-head. we got the yelling. we got what i am now referring to as matt's 'molly face' every time he rolled. i have not been this tense since the otohan fight and... this felt like a different kind of tense? also it's been a while since then i hadn't realised!

he's under the row of flags on Neige's side of the room, next to the big Neige poster with the yellow background (look just to the right of the hand holding the apple)! he's REAL little; once you know he's there you can kind of see him in-game, but I only noticed him in the first place because I took a screenshot and was having fun zooming in on all the details!
I think that's either Hop or Snick and Dominic on either side of Neige, but if the others are meant to be anyone in particular I don't recognize 'em. though I do love all the absolutely terrifying implications of Rook having this. was this some kind of officially-published merchandise (and if so, why) or did Rook like...go hunting through the RSA trash to find this random student lineup just because it included Neige, and has had it hanging proudly on the wall ever since. (I mean, he definitely did do this, I don't know why I'm asking. the real question is why he hasn't cut out little pictures of his own face and stuck them over everyone else's yet.)
there is seriously SO MUCH in this room. how did Rook manage to keep this hidden for three years. also, somebody give this background artist a raise immediately.

Love that Briggsy canonically ships Lethicus. Also love that Marius wasn’t wholly denying that Lethica herself was tempting him, he was mostly just focusing on the fact that her blood was (which I understand).
I still believe in my heart of hearts tho that Briggsy might have a bit of a crush on Marius. Maybe he doesn’t realize it, or maybe he does and is just stomping his feelings down bc he knows that Marius is into Lethica, who knows.
I also feel in my heart of hearts that Lethica and Jericho have formed a sibling-like bond. I mean, I got that vibe by episode 8, but especially now that I’m almost caught up (fuck. I’m almost caught up. Who allowed that.) Sometimes it is so clear that some people only watch this show for Buck and Buddie and it’s like THIS IS AN ENSEMBLE SHOW THIS IS AN ENSEMBLE CAST! other storylines are going to happen!!! This show is not the Buck and Eddie show with some funky sidekicks!! Like please, I understand wanting to see more Buddie, trust me I have been waiting YEARS to see them, but like … one, it’s not going to happen in 2 episodes??? (Nor should it but that’s a WHOLE other conversation) And two, this show is NOT about them! They are an Intercal part to the show and storyline, yes, but they are only a part! And in recent times things have been very Buck, Eddie, buckandeddie, and Buddie focused (yes those are ALL different) so it was bound for an episode to premiere where they are not the focus! Like can we please just enjoy the show and the story it’s telling and stop being all ‘what a flop of an episode’ ‘this was such a let down’ ‘I’m gonna stop watching until Buddie goes canon’, like y’all enjoy the show you want, watch for what you want, whatever, it’s your viewing experience but before you start yelling at the show and it’s creative team for making a “bad” episode simply because there wasn’t enough Buddie in it please, I implore you, to remember that that is Not the point of the show

THAT'S HOW CHARLIE DIES??? i mean i know the show has a penchant for killing off every character who's not a winchester brother or an angel of thursday but good god. what the fuck. charlie was such a good and enjoyable recurring character, and she had such a fandom impact that i've seen, and she's only around for THREE SEASONS?? (sidebar: it's amazing she has the presence she does for only being around for a couple episodes in the long run!) but: was this necessary? and she just dies offscreen after her skills are utilized to progress the plot of decoding the book of the damned?? oh my god. what in the actual fuck. i'm finding myself getting genuinely very upset at her death. she did not fucking deserve that. and i can absolutely see why the fan response to her death is what it is now. completely fucking unjustified and throwaway and useless.
