I was going through my pictures from 2020, I’m a little embarrassed to say that there’s probably more memes, posts, articles, and pictures taken of whatever I was trying to make a point of on the tv, than there is actual pictures.
This is a Tweet (remember those!? I don’t know what they’re called now. Hates?) from Robert Reich ( no sh*t Eugene!? Get to the point!)on the morning of Election Day 2020. It’s the same plan then, as it is now.
Donald Trump has no respect for America, it’s institutions that have endured 248 years, our systems of government or democracy in general.
This will be Americas 60th presidential election. You know how many of those were accused by one side or the other of being “rigged”? Three!!! Before a single vote had been cast in 2016, the election was said to be “rigged”. The 2020 election there was accusations of fraud and a stolen election that were prominent. The other election that had claims of being “rigged” is this one, the 2024 election. What is the common variable in all three of these elections? 🤔
I can already see the comments now, ‘People said that Hilary won’, and ‘Democrats said the 2000 election was stolen’, and to an extent they’re not wrong, but they’re not right either (well they’re right wing but, you know). The Florida recount in 2000 was a bit interesting how that conclusion came, to be to say the least, but, Gore went on television and conceded (I would recommend looking up Gores 2000 concession speech on YouTube, THATS what class looks like. THATS what politics used to be before reality tv people became involved.). In an utter display of class he told the American people that the Supreme Court had ruled, and that it was time, for the sake of Americans good, to move forward. He went to the inauguration of George W Bush. The 2016 election, I think everyone was in shock that Hilary was defeated in the electoral college by a failed businessman and two bit reality tv personality. Hilary won the popular vote by over 3.5 million votes but that doesn’t count (no pun intended) for whatever reason. (I know the reason, but it’s too much to go in to at this moment) Yet Hilary conceded when the counting was finished, and had the grace to show up at the inauguration of Trump, which I sure was utterly painful.
We all know how the 2020 election went. Trump and his allies doing everything they could to stop the vote before all the ballots were counted. That’s not how it works. That’s like a sports team getting a lead in the game and saying, ‘we won! Games over!” It’s not how real life works. You “play” till the end.
Trump is going to do the same thing this time. Because Democrats work (😉) Trump will be up in many states throughout the day and early evening. As the night goes on, Kamala’s numbers will continue to rise until her eventual victory, which will take several days to count and officially be over.
I want to say this now, to liberals, Republicans and especially MAGA. THE ELECTION ISNT DONE UNTIL ALL THE VOTES HAVE BEEN COUNTED. THATS HOW IT WORKS, WE ALL HAVE A VOTE AND IT IS ENTITLED TO BE COUNTED. DESPITE WHAT YOU MAY HAVE HEARD, MIDNIGHT IS NOT WHEN ELECTION DAY IS OVER, IT IS OVER WHEN EVERY SINGLE VOTE HAS BEEN TALLIED AND IS COUNTED FOR ITS RESPECTIVE SIDE.
This is going to be an ongoing issue until, somewhere between the 7th and the 10th. This is perfectly normal. This has happened in almost every modern election. It’s Trump and his narcissism, Republicans grasping on to relevancy, and powers that wish to benefit themselves, not the nation that will be pushing the narrative that it’s “illegal” or the “election is being stolen behind closed doors”. In all actuality it’s professionals, doing their job, to ensure every Americans voice is heard.
Trump is going to lie and lie and lie some more. He will throw wild accusations out there, he already is, he will tout crazy conspiracy theories, he already is, he will whine and b*tch and complain, he already is. Don’t listen.
For 57 presidential elections, our system has been the envy of the world. The most accurate and fair system developed. It’s only 3 that have EVER has accusations of fraud, or being rigged or stolen. The common denominator in those 3 elections is Donald Trump.
Donald Trump is a traitor, a selfish human being, and a terrible person. He does not deserve to be anywhere near the White House. Let’s keep it that way and vote for a real leader, Kamala Harris.

OK OK OK, but can we revisit the daughter "sitcom" scenarios?! I loved them sm.
Imagine Engel is out somewhere, like the store or whatever. Their daughter, who is about 12-13 at the time, just got her first period...😦
She just kinda awkwardly walks into the room and is trying to figure out how to tell him...
Konig is totally panicking, probably frantically calling Engels phone to get home ASAP. Poor boy probably didn't even know that you can get your period at that age and thinks some really bad is happening 😭.
But once everything has settled down, he starts to treat her the same way he treats Engel on her period, maybe even letting her stay home from school.
König is 1000 miles away from his comfort zone
I imagine the conversation goes something like this: (D=daughter, K=König, R/E=reader/Engel)
D: “I think my period just started…”
K: “Ja? Just remember to do your homework.”
D: “No, I mean… I think I just got my first period? I’m bleeding–”
K: “Bleeding? Where?? ”
D: “…??? There...?”
*uncomfortable staring and silence”
D: “I just… Do you know where mom keeps her pads?”
K: “...Pads?”
D: “Dad!! You’re just repeating my words!”
She leaves the room to look for the pads herself while König calls her mother: now imagine a colonel, a commanding officer of thousands of soldiers, responsible for important pre-decisions throughout the whole organization, calling his wife and asking what to do in this kind of a situation 🧍‍♂️ König is rubbing the back of his neck while walking anxious circles in the living room, almost bumps into a sofa while Engel calmly explains what's going on and that this is all completely normal.
When she comes back, König has just closed the phone, sighs, then takes a rather stiff stance to indicate he is about to give an important speech.
“Now then, my pretty young fawn. You are not my little girl anymore… Today, you’ve become a woman–”
“Dad, wtf?!? Ughh….”
She storms out of the room again, about to die from cringe: why does his father have to be such an embarrassment and an awkward mess? Why the hell did her mother even want this odd big loser as her man???
She’s sick of his stupid speeches and ridiculous rules and poor attempts at jokes, she's more than sick of listening to her parents’ disgusting cooing all the time. Only the noise canceling headphones can block out his dad’s profuse lovesick confessions before they start to bonk each other, thinking she can’t hear it all upstairs. Meanwhile she's not allowed to have a life of her own because the "world is a dangerous place"...
She can't wait to get out of this household, especially when even more cringeworthy conversations follow once her mother comes home. The only reason she's eavesdropping is because they're finally speaking of her instead of "how beautiful his sweet Engel looks" or "how silly and clumsy her big bear is":
K: “Does this mean she starts to have boyfriends?”
E/R: “She probably has had a few already.”
K: “What?!”
E/R: “Well not really. They’re just kids, fooling around. I wouldn't worry about it yet.”
K: “Should I talk to her about… you know, birds and bees? Just in case?”
E/R: “You? Absolutely not.”
K: “But–”
E/R: “I’ll talk to her at some point. They probably have sex education at school.”
K: “She can’t go to school. She said she was in pain.”
E/R: *sighs*
K: “What...? I already called them and said she's ill.”
E/R: “She's not ill, silly. It's just a period, it comes every month. You of all people should know...”
K: “Ja, I know... The torture days :)”
E/R: “Torture days for who?”
K: “I'm in so much pain every month, you have no idea...”
(Daughter upstairs makes a furious dive for her headphones :|)

I just need to know if others feel like this:
My current situation: I’m a seventeen year old, living in Germany. I would’ve been able to vote in the original polls for next year (the presidential vote I guess it would be called?) due to the revoting that will happen in either February or march (as of my knowledge) I’ve officially lost my vote.
It feels like I just have to watch everyone decide about mine and others future, watching such a big part of the country vote against mine and so many other people’s rights. It feels like my voice has been ripped from me, like it no longer matters what opinion I have just because the vote was pulled forward about 6 months. I realized that’s what it probably feels like for everybody who can’t go and vote, but it feels extra horrible to have to stand by and watch people of my generation (and other generations obviously) decide about mine and others value as human beings just because we’re different, having lost my voice when I finally had it, finally had the power to at least cancel out one vote for that messed up party, to go and participate in raising the count of the votes.
I always think about the fact that some people might say: the AfD (our version of Trumps Party, with way too many similarities to Hitlers Party) won’t win either way, but: they said that about Trump too. And now, now he is there and causes misinformation and Propaganda to be spread, causes that so many people have to live in fear of what is to come, if they can even survive the next 4 years.
It feels especially cruel to me. I can’t think about the votes too hard because it always causes a deep sense of despair, of fear inside of me. Is anyone else who is part of this group that got their vote basically ripped away feeling as upset about this as I am? Because everyone I know either isn’t in the group or just doesn’t give a f.

this IS a political post so if you need to scroll, feel free💜
for the most part I think I'm definitely preaching to the choir on this but like..I just wanna type things out.
so many of the people I know who voted for him didn't expect him to win. they seem disappointed even. I think they knew that they didn't agree with him but couldn't admit it and saw that at WORST their lives would mostly be unchanged under a dem president so they were quietly relying on her to win while maintaining face(if you can call it that) by staying on the trump ship. it obviously emboldened hatred and vitriol and we've known that since last time, but now there are so many /we can disagree and still be friends/ posts amidst SO many filings for divorce because that is true and this isn't that. it's not "disagreement" to erase a person's humanity and strip away human rights more easily. it's not "disagreement" to think no one's life should be marginally easier if yours isn't also getting easier. it isn't "disagreement" to openly and loudly say you're happy that people are frightened and upset and hurt. it isn't "disagreement" to say everyone should have to live according to your own religious beliefs (which may or may not be aligned with what is explicitly written in your religion's scripture). we can disagree about if pineapple belongs on pizza. we can disagree about which lotr movie is the best. we could even disagree about whether the dress is black and blue or white and yellow. it feels asinine to think that everything would be fine when at the time it mattered most to someone you call a friend or family, you could look at them and choose to send the very clear message that you do not see them as a person worthy of living a good life and having hope for the future. when it came down to it, you chose someone who will never EVER see you as respectable or look out for you over people who gave you chance after chance after chance and finally chose peace.
anyway, I love you to everyone who feels uneasy and apprehensive about the future. I hope the next 4 years and some change is boring as hell.

If I could be arsed to learn how to edit videos and had some kind of mic, I would 110% make a two part video essay series on the politics of Jurassic World because MY GOD, there's so much to dissect.
The first part would be about how the park is the epitome of neoliberal futurism for techbros, including the way the park so easily falls apart though I doubt that aspect is purposeful. Everything is aesthetic first and function second, and we can't possibly use any of the reliable infrastructure we've already come up with because a train is not gonna get us to Mars, but a monorail might.
And the second would be about the buckwild terrible gender politics going on. The movie is deeply unsympathetic to Claire seemingly because she's a woman who prioritised her career as it's both centre to her character arc and also an inciting event of one of the plots. Not to mention the whole Zara thing or the Owen and Claire thing or the stupid "him, I meant him, line. The movie is rife with misogyny, but it feels like that specific misogyny was isekaied over from backlash to second wave feminism.
I could talk about it all for so long because in a way, it feels like a perfect time capsule for 2015. Back when people took Claire running in heels to be this feminist statement to be made fun of and not just a deeply misogynistic movie trying to sell you feminism. And back when Elon Musk managed to get away with his "I'm the real life Iron Man" shit, and people believed he was smart and all his plans would come to fruition. 2015 was a great time to be a tech bro in Silicon Valley with people just throwing money at all your fake promises.
Yeah. See. This is what I mean when I say I could talk about it forever.
#kai rambles#jurassic world#one of the reasons why this has ended up one of my favourite movies is because it kinda got rounded up and out as a big dumb action film#but like.#look at elon's robovan or libertarian sea pods or the hyperloop or the straddling bus or the vegas sphere#then look at jurassic world#and tell me all these stupid dumb ideas and constructions wouldnt fit in perfectly in jurassic world#and that the really dumb way of thinking that creates those concepts wouldnt be the kind that gives you ''lets make a new dinosaur''#tell me this movie doesnt perfectly encapsulate that way of thinking#including the lack of redundancies and procedures and the complete lack of guard rails and the way it just falls apart#i dont think it was on purpose#i don't think the movie is clever enough for it to be satirising tech bro led neoliberal futurism#because those are two long words that many people dont know the meaning of because they didnt take sociology at some point#but it is a decent satire of it#meanwhile its gender politics are in a dire situation#and i also dont think that's necessarily purposeful?#i think maybe the character of claire began as the hollywood cardboard cutout of a Feminist™#and then since they were copying the first film so much they decided they needed to have kid characters running around and a family plot#and then also they were like well obviously we need a romance arc because thats how these movies work#and so they gave claire the opposite traits of owen because opposites attract#and then oops this character is a deeply misogynistic caricature of a woman#and we really dont have many other women in this cast who do much so you know.#its just. theres so much#guys there's so much

Meet New Zealand's Hana-Rawhiti Kareariki Maipi-Clarke. She's an MP in NZ's parliament. Her haka is in protest of a bill that would have taken rights afforded to the tribes and applied them to all New Zealanders (defeating the purpose of the Treaty of Waitangi).
She is 22 years old, and this isn't the first time she's done it.

How wrong is the world when with only 18 years of life I already have been sexually harrassed, eyed by old mens and have learn to walk as fast as possible with my head down and with no music in my headphones when a man is behind me ?
I see all those people on Tiktok being aweful to women after Trump winning the election (and even before) and it's horrible how they never seems to understand, to try to understand, to care enough to understand. Men and Women (as much as incomprehensible it is).

This may be a moment of weakness, but I'm starting to have more sympathy with female separatists.
"Women are people and deserve the same rights as you" didn't work. The first generation of men to see first-hand that equal rights means they won't get a wife/mommy/slave went hard right.
50% of marriages end in divorce. 70% of divorces are initiated by women. For every 2 divorced men who want to remarry, there's only 1 divorced woman who wants to remarry. 1/3 of men 18 - 24 haven't had sex in the last year.
Men are better off with you barefoot and pregnant. And they know it.
The incentives and opportunities for men to enslave women are just too strong. I don't know what to do about this.

The hits keep coming folks! Here on; Things Fascists Say!!!!
Accountability!? Not for a dictator! Ha!! Our psychotic sociopath, Dementia Don the diapered wonder f*ck boy tyrant, goes after anyone who would dare show people the things he says or does. How dare the press show the insane things I say and do!? There will be no criticism of the supreme leader! Honestly, I’ve had tacos more supreme than cook!
I want to thank all my pro-democracy friends out there! Together we stand, divided we fall, and together we shall stand! For our nation! For our freedom! For our rights and the rights of those who come after us. Because these American people, we don’t believe in oppression, we don’t believe that any man is above the law. We believe in hope! Liberty! Our right to pursue happiness. We believe in a brighter tomorrow! We believe in each other. Friends. Thank you 🙏 Get out there and show the world what we’re made of. My brothers, my sisters, my fellow Americans. 🇺🇸
Together we will keep fascism where it belongs, not in America!!!
Vote Kamala Harris for President
Vote blue down ballot
And let’s make a future together
One of unity and joy
Of personal freedom and success
One where we all get our shot at the American dream ☮️🇺🇸🇺🇸

im not really on the "i hope curlfeather killed her husband" train yet purely because i think they fumbled the bag with the pacing of her reveal a bit and i wish frostpaw had more time to emotionally grapple with it like she did with splashtail, and i think pushing her evil into cartoonish levels kind of removes any chance of that ever having the time to be more satisfying by fully cementing her as Pure Evil off the bat. i love curlfeather i think they've got a great setup for her as a villain i suport women's wrongs, but i want a look at her motives! if they are confidently never gonna show us an even more complex or interesting side to her though then Fine yeah okay let her kill jayclaw or whatever go off. but i think any kinda sympathetic backstory or revealed puzzle piece beyond the few pre-reveal glimpses of genuinity we've seen from her and besides "im evil so i want power" would be more interesting rn

Our Mission: Deny, Defend, Depose.
We DENY the legitimacy of a corrupt system that exploits and oppresses. We reject the narratives spun by those in power to keep us complacent.
We DEFEND the rights, freedoms, and dignity of all individuals against any force that seeks to undermine them. We stand as a shield for the vulnerable and a barrier against injustice.
We DEPOSE the structures and leaders who prioritize profit over people. We are committed to dismantling the mechanisms of their control and building a future where equity and justice are not just ideals, but realities.
Together, we ignite the flames of revolution.
Ignite with Us. Swarm with Us. Transform with Us.
