The blatant disregard for the 5th Amendment drove our Real Attorney INSANE during our playthrough of AA2-4. It happened SO MUCH that I drew FOUR thumbnails about it! Which is your favorite?

"The Trump administration conceded in a court filing Monday that it mistakenly deported a Maryland father to El Salvador “because of an administrative error” and argued it could not return him because he’s now in Salvadoran custody."

'Republicans graduating from law schools' have invalidated the Constitution, due process, and habeas corpus all to not offend First Felon and his highly illegal and morally devoid policies.
This is human trafficking. Always a projection.

You have the 5th Amendment right to be silent, USE it. Shut your mouth, demand a lawyer. A few days in jail is worth not giving police and the prosecutor ammo. If a cop pulls you over, give them the required documents, do not answer any of their questions, they are just fishing for probable cause. NO QUESTIONS WHATSOEVER. You are only required to give them your license, registration, and proof of insurance, THAT IS IT. Do not consent to a search of your vehicle. And whatever you do, don't argue with police, make your arguments in court.

Supreme Court sides with 94-year-old woman who accused government of stealing her home equity
“The taxpayer must render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, but no more.” With those words, Chief Justice John Roberts and a unanimous U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday sided with a 94-year-old Minnesota woman who got no compensation when the government seized her home over a small unpaid tax bill and pocketed the profit. Well, it reminds me of a unanimous Supreme Court Precedent from the 1960's.
Back in the 1930's, there was pressure to target marijuana users with prosecution. Marijuana was already regulated under drug laws. However, this bill decided to regulate marijuana by taxing it out of existence. (It helped that the head of the US Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs was related by marriage to Andrew Mellon, who served as Treasury Secretary under Harding, Coolidge, and Hoover.) As a result, if you were found possessing marijuana without paying a tax on it, you were a criminal.
Fast forward to 1965. A former Harvard professor and his family were taking a vacation trip to Mexico, but were turned back at the border. A US Customs inspector claimed to have seen marijuana seeds in the car, and a search of the car found several joints. He was charged with violating the act, but fought the charges, arguing they were a violation of the Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination. The Supreme Court agreed, unanimously, thus rendering the law unconstitutional.
And, yes, the plaintiff was that Timothy Leary.
Dani Anguiano at The Guardian:
The Trump administration will require undocumented immigrants aged 14 and older to register with the federal government or face possible fines or prosecution. The US Department of Homeland Security said in a statement that under the “Protecting the American People Against Invasion” executive order signed by Donald Trump last month undocumented immigrants must also provide their fingerprints, while parents must ensure children under 14 are registered. The department will provide “evidence” of their registration and those 18 and over must carry that document at all times. The announcement comes as the US president has sought to harshly crackdown on immigration and implement a mass deportation campaign. Since taking office, his administration has attempted to suspend a refugee resettlement program (a judge blocked the cancellation), moved to cut off legal aid for immigrant kids (although it later walked back that decision), sought to allow immigration raids in schools and churches (another judge blocked such efforts in some houses of worship) and has begun sending undocumented immigrants to Guantánamo. Under the program announced this week, undocumented immigrants 14 and older in the US for 30 days or more will be required to register and undergo fingerprinting. Parents and guardians must register children under 14, and once children reach that age they must reapply and be fingerprinted, DHS said on its website. Those who do not comply can face criminal penalties, including misdemeanor prosecution, and fines. According to the Wall Street Journal, which first reported on the registry, undocumented immigrants will also be required to provide their home addresses and that failing to register could result in fines of up to $5,000 and six months in prison. The law has long been on the books, homeland security secretary Kristi Noem said in an interview on Fox News, but she will start enforcing it as the Trump administration seeks to use “every single tool at [its] disposal” to implement the president’s promised immigration crackdown. By registering, undocumented immigrants can avoid criminal charges and the federal government will “help them” return to their home country, allowing them to eventually return to the US, she said.
Nazi overtones much with this move, Tyrant 47? Fines and/or prison time could be coming for undocumented immigrants aged 14 or older who don’t join the registry.
