You’re going to make Prongs a responsible parent

'I can't believe you two are having a child,' Sirius said, shaking his head.

They had been sitting by James for about an hour. Before he left them, Peter had related that the Healers believed James should wake within that timeframe. Lily needed to see James awake, needed more evidence than the rising and falling of his chest that he was alive. Time had passed so slowly, and yet, somehow it had passed, but James was still asleep.

'I just... you're so young. You have your whole lives ahead of you. Please don't tell me you planned this?'

'That's none of your business,' Lily scoffed. 'And no, we didn't plan it.'

'Thank God,' Sirius sighed. 'It was bad enough that he wanted to get married,' Sirius grimaced as he said the last word, but Lily wasn't fooled. That day, Sirius had looked as happy as if it had been his own wedding.

'Ey - watch it!' Lily mock scolded him. Sirius just sniggered.

'It's not a death sentence, you know?' Lily added, a little later, James still lying unmoving and unaware that his wife and best friend were there.

'No, it's so much worse,' Sirius said with feeling: 'You're going to make Prongs a responsible parent.'

'I don't know about 'responsible',' Lily sighed, 'but he will be a parent.'

If he recovers, an uninvited voice in her head added nastily. Lily tightened her grip on James' hand ever so slightly, suddenly feeling unwell. James hadn't woken up yet. What if something was wrong?

Sirius seemed to misunderstand her change of mood: 'Lils, I am only joking. The man is a world champion in stepping up to the roles he's given: he was an unbeatable Captain, the best Head Boy in our time (if you ask for my unbiased opinion) and he seems to be doing a good job on the husband front.'

'He needs to stay alive,' Lily said, quietly, 'to be a good husband - to be a parent - any parent.'

Sirius looked momentarily stunned.

Lily looked helplessly down at James, and felt her breath catch in her throat as she supressed a sob.

'Hey, don't go there, Lils. Please... He will be just fine, and then the two of you will become insufferable parents, who only talk about baby stuff, and I will want nothing more to do with either of you.'

Wolfstar!daughter’s biggest accomplishment is her family. Even though she was adopted really young, she still remembers how it felt to be alone. Which is why she keeps her family with her in subtle ways. Moon and star earrings for her dads, sun and flower hair clips for James and Lily, things like that. It’s something just for her, just so she can remember herself that she is loved and cared for.

I looooooove the Prongsfoot fandom. Like most marauders fans are nice but this sub-fandom is EXTRA nice.

I think it's because there's less content so we're all more excited to see new posts... But whatever it is I just wanna be best friends forever with like 100% of the names I see consistently here. Because this group is the BEST.

I need a fic where Lily and Remus are super close like siblings. Like Lily has a moon necklace and Remus has one with a Lily and their most (all) the time together and Sirius and James are jealous (respectively) and it takes so long to realize their just friends cause James is very respectful, so he is falling for Lily, but respects her "relationship" so he is like "if friends is all we can be, so be it", and Sirius just straight up thinks (cause he is an idiot) that Remus is straight so he just yearns for something that "can't never be"

And Lily is losing it cause she is giving all the signs and doing all the necessary things and they're basically dating, but James is for some reason not making any moves

And Remus is yearning as well but he is like he would never looked at me like that and is happy with being just friends cause friend Sirius is better than no Sirius.

Do y’all think that when Mary cried when David Bowie died she was confused? She was never that big of a Bowie fan, she had always preferred ABBA, and she couldn’t even remember the last time she listened to his music. But something deep inside her told her to mourn, that this would have been devastating to… someone? She just couldn’t remember who. She didn’t even know if this was a real person.

Deep down I think she was not only mourning David Bowie but Sirius, and Remus. Them, there love for each other, there friendship with her, all of which she’s forgotten
