what makes minedai even sadder is that we never rlly see daigo try to build a bond with anyone else like he did with mine it rlly shows how badly it effected him like yeah he reached out to shinada in y5 but that’s rlly it and he probably would wanna leave him alone after that and not involve him in any yakuza stuff so i don’t think they would’ve hung out or anything like that afterwards. All he rlly had were saejima and majima but they were more like babysitters than anything, wish we saw more of their dynamic tho like we did with majima and daigo in dead souls since that was fun and we were lowkey robbed but in canon he’s just as lonely as he was before majimas promise to kiryu. And mine is the only person he really had a meaningful relationship with romantic or not they were still really close and we don’t see that again with daigo ever (from what i recall after y3) ok sorry for rambling LMFAO
even with shinada, he reached out to him more so out of 'duty' and trying to make up for the misfortune that befell him because of yakuza than wanting to rekindle any kind of friendship they might have had in high school (though it sounds more like they were just acquaintances if shinada needing a second to remember who daigo was is anything), so yah i doubt they really had any kind of bond afterwards
dead souls really was the only time after Y3 where we got to see daigo be more sociable with someone, but its as you say majima and saejima are more like retainers than close friends

Man I wonder where the leader of the fear realm could've gone, it's alMOST LIKE NEVIN HAS AN
#had to re-edit the image real quick because the original edit was from a post I made about Drew years ago#and while the Drew thing is becoming less and less likely. Nevin havinv one has basically been canon since#someone mentioned Greg's (was it Britney's) aura being familiar in s2ch1. ive been putting together a list of every line#that points to Nevin's aura throughout the whole thing (most from s2ch1 but then s2ch10 came out and it was really canon at that point)#but clearly i'm running out of time to say ''i fucking called it'' before it's explicitly stated and i dont want to be in another situation#where somebody else will beat me to a theory and me posting anything about it will seem like copying them. sorry about that btw i had#thought i had already mentioned theorizing that nevin was possessed by a demon in that old theory i made but i had forgotten that one was#super old and was about sigma. so no copying there i just got extremely paranoid there was a mention of a cult and i was like ''nuh uh#that's way too specific and out there of a detail to end up in both our theories'' and i forgot the rest of my super old post was outdated#as hell. and echos had gone ''yeah they're so similar!'' and i took their word for it but now i'm realizing they were probably just trying#to be supportive. so yeah no copying there i was just beaten to the punch of saying something. but i will NOT back down from the aura shit#because i have been calling that shit FROM THE START or at least since i started reading ibvs back when ch20 came out.#also not backing down from saying chris was the worse friend because these past few chapters are the first time isaac has done anything tha#could knowingly upset chris meanwhile chris has. let edward drag isaac to the lair after isaac said edward would beat him up. chose not to#believe edward was holding the secrets over their heads because 'it was something isaac had said' and then immediately distrusted edward in#the next chapter because a random person he didn't know said to steal a book (might i mention how that entire scene proves chris' lack of#development and refusal to take responsibility because it perfectly alludes to when chris had brought those fireworks into his old school#and makes me wonder if charlie has actually gotten him in trouble with his past schools or if he's still just not taking responsibility#and if him following nevin to the woods to test out their powers is an extension of ''if something bad happens its not my fault''#like seriously this man would bring a mysterious suitcase onto a plane if he's told to). uh what was i talking about agai#anyway on a related note my mental state has only gotten worse since i left tumblr and the habit of thinking about chris instead of sleepin#or doing schoolwork has not stopped. so i was still failing for a while and might graduate now but am still staying away from tumblr.#so yeah this was a little update and im not going to linger this time im just going to leave tumblr again right after hitting post#addendum because i just can't let things go. and was thinking about chris again. i don't think his lack of development is because of bad#writing (anymore. i used to.). instead i'm certain his character arc is going to continue into him following someone (nevin probably) into#doing something really bad. and then he'll finally get actual consequences and go 'oh shit i fucked up real bad this time'#if you think that theory is reaching too far into the future you should hear mine about isaac dying at the end lmao

The phrase "everyone is a little autistic/neurodivergent" is only true in fiction.
Looking back on some characters of mine I realized that nearly every single one of them shows signs of autism, ADHD, OCD, anxiety, or all four. Aka all conditions that I have.
Probably a case of me unintentionally writing my life experiences onto my characters as a way of making them relatable. But really, in hindsight me having ADHD was ridiculously obvious when you consider some of the characters I've written.

Oushi is one of the best recent examples of character development done right. Cause when I first started this series I definitely didn't like him. And now, I can confidently say that I do and he's such a good character.
#anyway#I love characters who realize they're wrong and apologize to those around them#and even if they don't get what they want they accept how things are and try to find closure#cause low-key lots of 2nd leads will be like#'dammit I didn't get the girl there's no point anymore fuck this'#but instead he not only made amends with Yuki but also apologized to his friends (another thing I never see happen)#usually its all about the girl and fuck everyone else#and he's trying to maintain a good relationship with itsuomi#granted with how itsuomi is it's kinda hard to avoid him lmaoo#itsu said 'ur my friend now we're having soft tacos later!'#anyway there is definitely something to be said about whether or not we should forgive ableist behavior#cause there were moments at the beginning of the series where oushi said/did things that felt passively ableist#but not bc he's ill-intentioned but bc he has trouble expressing himself#which isn't an excuse but a flaw#and it's nice to see a character with his setup acknowledge his flaws and try to be better#but I think his character was written flawed enough but not too flawed to be deemed unforiveable#cause that is a pet peeve of mine when a piece of fiction has a 'flawed character' we're meant to forgive but they've gone toooo far#and we're meant to forgive them anyway??#but I think oushi was done perfectly and avoided that kind of trope#im excited to see where the plot takes him#a sign of affection#yubisaki to renren#ashioki oushi#nawwww

I never caught up with the Undertale AUs much (was overwhelmed with the hype and by the time I played the game myself I developed "keep to self and 5 close mutuals" mentality on fandomry already) but one thing I found the most interesting is how fandom developed that meta commentary thing with Error!Sans and Ink!Sans stuff. Iirc at least one of these got changed into an OC detached from the fandom but you can still find traces of the past online, but basically the versions of Sanses represented THE two extremes of fandomry nobody would want to fall into!
Ink represented the most uncritical, the most insufferable creative indulgence possible with no pressure to ground it into what makes the original itself to begin with. The guy that won't distinguish between a fanwork (AU most particularly) that knowingly takes a few creative liberties and a "fanwork" that is literally just someone completely remaking story and personalities of the characters into what they prefer more. A guy that would never say "Just make an OC already!" and will fight anyone who tells you this, a guy with 0 standards for fanworks. Basically missing the point of the fandom: to be fans of the original! He is also an emotional junkie and engaging with AUs is his most effective way to feel any pleasure, so he is also a meta of creatively bankrupt fans who permanently demand to "consume content" regardless of what it is xD
Error, on the other hand, is an absolute prick that sees canon divergence in any way shape or form as something inherently bad (an "abomination" that should not exist in his own context). Like, you know the guy that thinks redesigns, ships that aren't canon, AUs and such are "disrespectful to the author"? Error is this kind of guy. Not even just a cringe culture guy, a guy that simply hates fun and creativity, and God forbid fans actually DO something interesting with the source material instead of.. what, literally Just Staring at it for eternity? (Also the funniest fucking character because he himself is a diversion from canon lol In fact, diversion of ANOTHER diversion!)
Like, yeah the meta is not all there is for the characters, they both have their own origins and story within the setting (iirc it was actually the focus, and how it became a meta was coincidental). But they literally were defender or all AUs and destroyer of all AUs respectively, I thought it was super fun how Undertale fandom came up with the way to give faces to the two extremes fans of anything should not fall into. It was smart, I guess?
And it is not like fandoms (all of them) changed in this regard, most people still agree that "you should not feel pressured to stay 100% accurate to canon and I beg you people to revisit the source material at least sometimes are two statements that can and should coexist". In terms of my current fandom: Ink would fully encourage evil perverted manipulative griffith Miquella portrayal because "yay all creative valid :)" and Error would harass you for drawing Godwyn consort instead of canonical Radahn consort fsdhfdshsh And any true fan will disapprove of both of these, right?
P.S.: Just realised that I am talking about this like an old man who reminiscences on the trends of his youth when UTDR fandom is still interested in the popular AUs including these ones, so I am just here like:

I think I have maybe decided to tell someone I no longer want to be friends with them, but I'm wondering if I should give it a few more days before I commit to it
#anthill#pretty much everyone except the one mutual friend I have with this person has said I should#the one friend said that what she did was shitty and could I understand if I did#but also thinks that it is something that we could maybe work from#I'm not really asking for advice I'm just processing my feelings out loud#I kind of had a revelation about boundaries today#and I've been really blaming myself for not being firm on mine and letting this person cross an emotional boundary#but that doesn't exist in a vacuum#I can say no to things and often do#its when substances or I guess in this case horniness is involved that creates problems#if she were completely platonically cuddling I would have said no to anything further#but with reasonably doubt adjusting positions turned into active grinding#and when she asked if she could touch me further I said but that will turn me on so idk#it wasn't an enthusiastic consent#which she only got after continously grinding on me#and like the situation that my ptsd is like hey this is just like this other time#involved someone asking to make out 3 times which I said no to consecutively until they got me crossfaded#its not a not setting boundaries problem so mu h as not recognizing patterns of behavior that people employ#until they can dubiously get my consent#and needing to learn those patterns#also saying 'be firm on your boundaries' is about as helpful as saying 'don't be anxious'#like wow! I've never thought of that before! youre a vissionary thank you!#like I don't blame myself enough.

yesterday I ate like a lemon and I thought I’d hate it because I mean it’s a lemon who likes just plain lemons but I liked it and idek what to do anymore . like I just want more lemons
