It's one of my all-time favourite book-to-series ("All Souls Trilogy" by Deborah Harkness) productions - obvi co-starring Alex Kingston, as a witchy, sassy (hello, sweetie!), LGBT Auntie - and the entire series is just perfect?! Time travel, witches, vampires, werewolves, unrequited love, broken hearts, baddies, fab CGI, beautiful cast, great story...what more could you ask for?

CAST (some Doctor Who vets): Matthew Goode, Teresa Palmer, Alex Kingston, Lindsay Duncan (😍), Sophia Myles, Louise Brealey, James Purefoy (😍), Tom Hughes, Valerie Pettiford, Alysha Heart, Trevor Eve, Owen Teale, Paul Rhys...and on and on!

The first season was released in 2018 but there are 3 seasons altogether and it's absolutely worth the watch.

I'm on my fifth watch 🤓 since its initial release. So good!

‘You’ve delivered your warning, Domenico,’ Matthew said in a voice like silk. ‘That’s all I have to say to the witch,’ the Venetian replied. ‘I have more to say to you.’ ‘Then Diana will return to the house. Get her out of here, Maman ,’ he said tersely."

No more dancing and and other "related activities" for Matthew and Diana. The Congregation are such party poopers 😤

On the other hand, I am 100% there for an aggravated Matthew and his epic death stares.

Andrew finally gets a decent role—his first for the season, and receives zero support from Charles for his refusal to bow and scrape to obnoxious members of the public. It really shows what a thankless task being an inspector is: caught between the politics playing of those upstairs and the real pressures of on-the-street police work. A frustrating one because it’s so true to life. The more you excel in your job usually, the quicker people are to condemn you the moment you have a day that isn’t “exemplary” (in Charles’s words). And meanwhile you have habitually lazy and inept people getting away with murder.
