video: it's the holiday season! me (<-southern hemisphere): well, this is true i guess, i am not feeling excluded from the target audience just yet video, 1 second later: [stock animated snow falling overlay] me: ah. there it goes.
#i'm so fucking sick of the cognitive dissonance that is living in the southern hemisphere in a northern hemisphere focused world#there is ONE website i'm on that does a holiday thing where you have the option of turning off the snow#and even then it's only turning off the animated snowfall#the background that the animation plays over is still a snowy landscape#so you KNOW that's more of an accessibility feature for visual impairments than it is a diversity option#one day i'm going to be the big boss man of a website and my holiday events WILL be the wrong (right) seasons#you WILL fucking experience halloween in spring and easter in autumn and christmas in summer#(<- won't ever actually happen. i have no interest in being a website big boss)

So I’m in a health care major in college, and I’m having my first season of high holy days as a Jew-ish person. So, being a busy student along with having many days I need to take off in October, I’ve gotten very used to talking to professors.
I’m in a class for cultural advocacy and bias in the medical setting. We’ve spent hours reviewing case studies, talking about social determinants and education, and general cross cultural acceptance. We talked at length about different and equitable approaches for religious minorities- in terms of dietary needs, holidays, and lifestyle.
I didn’t expect any trouble with taking this class off. So I approached my professor and told her that because of Rosh Hashanah next week, I wouldn’t be able to attend class next Thursday.
She turned to me, very sweetly and said “okay! Just make sure to use your golden pass!”
The one time golden pass is provided to every student in the course- specifically for menial situations. You could use this just because you’re hung over, a little sick or just don’t feel like it.
Religious holidays are not- and as noted in my university’s policy on this very matter - “an optional day off.” I should not have to use my one “fun pass” for a genuine cultural obligation. And this isn’t me just saying that. This is the college’s policy.
If this happened in an anatomy class with a STEM driven professor, I’d be a little annoyed but ultimately understanding. But this is a class where we’ve discussed social policy at length and the importance of diversity. The least I could expect was for the fine bullet points on our own school standards to be read.
So as I write an email to her, gently explaining this and having my request in writing, I have to channel my frustration somewhere.
What can I say? I’m very much getting the Jewish experience.

₊˚⊹ᰔ Valentine's day! ˖ ࣪ . ࿐ ♡ ˚ .

𐙚Synopsis: Valentine's day special!; 𐙚Pairing: fem!reader×dazai osamu&chuuya nakahara (separately) 𐙚Contain: headcanons, drabbles (?), sfw+nsfw, comfort, MDNI, hint of sex, rough sex, gentle sex, stimulation, oral sex, fingering, aftercare; 𐙚Author's note: (died after what is written above💀)... I tried to write this, but I don't know how well I did it. So... Once again, happy Valentine's Day to everyone! I'm a little late with this (っ- ‸ - ς)
DAZAI
•THIS MAN ADORES YOU
•Considering that in the past he had a great, great experience of various communication (and obviously not only) with girls, you are the luckiest in the world (or maybe not ...)
•Dazai is a man of different moods. You never know what will come over him at the most random moment. You even jokingly call him "Mr. Mystery," and he takes it as a compliment.
•He ALWAYS gives you gifts. Regardless of the situation. Regardless of whether it's a holiday today or not. Regardless OF WHETHER HE EVEN HAS MONEY (bruh, we all know that he has it; a former member of the Port Mafia without money? nope)
•His presents on ordinary days can be very diverse. But on holidays, he takes a particularly responsible approach to choosing gifts.
•Valentine's Day? RUN. HE WON'T LET YOU GO ALL DAY.
•He belongs to the type of men who like to do everything for show. HE BREAKS INTO THE AGENCY AND GRABS YOU, HUGGING YOU LIKE A PLUSH TOY
•You literally have to HIDE MONEY FROM HIM so that he doesn't buy up ALL THE FLOWERS IN THIS CITY.
•But it still doesn't help; HE STILL COMES WITH A HUGE BOUQUET, SMIRKING SMUGLY
•Usually he gives you white lilies, sometimes he can afford to buy roses or chrysanthemumsIn addition to flowers, you receive from him a gentle kiss on the cheek / forehead and a box of interesting sweets that you have never tasted
•Able to stay at home on holidays when you go to work. AND ALL JUST SO THAT IN A COUPLE OF HOURS HE COULD SPECTACULARLY APPEAR ON THE DOORSTEP OF THE AGENCY AND GIVE YOU A GIFT
•At such moments, he comes in a fashionable suit for a spectacular appearance
•You're always embarrassed, but he doesn't seem to care at all; JUST HAVE TIME TO ASK HIM NOT TO KISS YOU IN FRONT OF OTHERS, OH, HE'LL DO IT (just an idiot, what kind of man...)
•On February 14th, he congratulates you in the morning; if he is not a lazy ass, he can cook you a delicious breakfast, for example, toast, inside of which a heart is neatly cut out and fried eggs are filled it
•He tries to do everything for you as on ordinary days, and on this holiday (he just becomes even more clingy and cute)
•He will be too lazy to make you a valentine, but since everyone knows that you are a couple, everyone will congratulate you on the holiday, and Osamu will just (as mentioned earlier) give you a bouquet of flowers and sweets.
NSFW
•TURNS INTO A PERVERT AT 0:00 (okay, he always was and always will be)
•He will definitely go to the lingerie store, choose the most DEPRAVED UNDERWEAR (it will be open lace or something that will cover only the crotch and nipples)
•He'll give it to you in the evening
•No matter how embarrassed you are, trust me, he'll find a way to get you to wear it.
•When you find yourself in this depraved outfit, he will admire you for a long time until he finally breaks down
•There are two options for the outcome of events: HE WILL FUCK YOU OFF SO THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WALK FOR SEVERAL DAYS (not funny, it really is)
•Or it will be too, too gentle, will make everything carefully and too pleasant for you
•It all depends on his mood and the degree of excitement! Well, or for how many days have you refused his requests
•Anyway, in the end, he'll clean everything up, put you to bed, and fall asleep with you, cuddling you against him.
CHUUYA
•Loves and protects you like a diamond
•Grateful to you for everything, especially for being with him despite his dangerous work
•Does everything for you, just like for his favorite doll and princess
•He'll start congratulating you in the morning
•If it's a day off, you go to a nice restaurant where he will order you the most delicious dishes, a glass of wine and a dessert in the shape of a heart
•If it's a working day, he'll apologize for being busy and try to make you breakfast. If he doesn't make it, he'll at least order you something.
•GIVES YOU A LOT OF FLOWERS
•I SWEAR THESE ARE THE BIGGEST BOUQUETS IN ALL OF YOKOHAMA.
•These can be either burgundy, blood roses, or the most delicate and light flowers
•In addition, he will either leave you his credit card with a lot of money so that you can buy everything you want, or he will go shopping with you; If you can't go yourself, he will definitely find out what you want and buy it himself
•You like different shoes (almost all your shoes are heels)
•Therefore,he never skimp on buying you another pair (the HUNDREDTH PAIR)
•He even bought you a separate closet for your shoes.
•He's definitely not giving CHEAP shoes.
•They all cost as much as the agency's budget; on Valentine's Day he will give you something in this style; hearts and red!
•He will buy your favorite wine or open something from his collection
•At work, during a break, he will try to make you an origami heart, something like a valentine
•He'll leave work early to spend more time with you
NSFW
•GET READY.
•He'll kiss every inch of your body
•He will leave bites and hickeys on your neck, thighs, chest, even your stomach
•He'll really enjoy your moans
•He'll be very gentle, unless you ask him to be rude.
•He will do everything slowly and carefully, as if he is afraid that he might harm you.
•You're like a fragile doll in his arms.
•Passionate, sensual kisses are provided for you
•He knows how to please you, so he will use his tongue and fingers
•He will torment you slowly, pressing you against his back, while he gently massages your clit, listening to you whimper
•He enjoys the feeling of you trembling from his touch
•He will tease you and push you to the limit, and then stop abruptly; but it won't last long, and he will give you your sweet release
•Will make you cum first from his fingers and then from his tongue
•He will make sure that he has prepared you well by slowly inserting and removing two fingers from your wet hole
•He'll fuck you very gently
•If you don't ask him for anything, then yes; but if you ask him to be rougher, he will squeeze you into the mattress, face into the pillow, when he fucks you hellishly fast
•After any option, he will do everything necessary for you and him, and then you will fall asleep in an embrace

I absolutely disagree with the sentiment that Capitol citizens travel to the Districts, specifically District 4, to go on vacation.
While we learn that they used to do that pre-war, the radicalisation in the Capitol's belief of their own superiority calls for a separation in their daily lives from the District citizens. De-humanising the District people through physical separation, propaganda can shape the image of what their daily lives must look like. No longer are they dependent on being faced with reality ever so often; or the Capitol having to frequently assure that their own citizens are not seeing the plight of the Districts.
De-facto, the artificial domes of past Games are likely what have replaced any previous vacation spots. They are fast to travel to with a diverse landscape. While Katniss cites them as spots to re-enact the Games, they might also be re-used as relaxation spots. Capitol people knowingly going skiing in the mountains where Titus died, getting the kids to play by the water where tributes drowned in Annie's games, or going camping in between Rue's final moments. It's a perfidious ignorance and a complicity in their own actions.
This is also a great example on how nature within the series separates the Capitol from the Districts. Even on vacation in snowy mountains, on the beachside, or in the forest, the Capitol does not experience truthful nature. All they know is a fabricated image. There is a large debate to be had about Katniss' ties to nature in its contrast, whereupon the Hunger Games themselves are a series of humanity's ties cut with what is the natural world, but the Capitol is the opposite end of this. Nothing they do or see is a natural creation. Their holiday choice ought to reflect that.
#thg#the hunger games#capitol#i think visiting the districts has become a privilege of sorts#not one that is very desirable#but only a select few enter the districts#thg analysis

They often sit together for long conversations about folklore, legends, and supernatural beings from their respective cultures. Expect long nights of stories about aswangs, pontianaks, and mythical beasts from the jungles.
They have an unspoken bond of friendship rooted in shared experiences as Southeast Asians—often teaming up to teach the rest of the group about their respective cultures, whether it’s in the form of dance, music, or food.
When the group gets into trouble, Malay!Yuu tends to play the wise mediator between Filipino!Yuu’s fiery energy and Indonesian!Yuu’s unpredictability, keeping things in check but still encouraging their chaotic side.
Filipino!Yuu & Malay!Yuu’s endless food debates—who makes the better sarap, or which dish reigns supreme, lead to lots of heated but fun arguments. Meanwhile, Indonesian!Yuu is probably somewhere planning a food festival to end all food festivals.
Final Verdict:
Malay!Yuu is the perfect addition to the Culture!Yuu group, bringing a mix of tradition, adventure, hospitality, and incredible food.
They’re always ready with a warm smile and a delicious dish to share.
Their love for their culture is evident in everything they do, from food to folklore.
Together with Filipino!Yuu and Indonesian!Yuu, they make the ultimate Southeast Asian trio—full of fun, food, and endless traditions.

I was actually wondering what the Sep Au Brothers feel about fashion? I read an analysis the other day about Rise Donnie and he seems to have the best fashion sense out of them all (and may or may not have his own fashion line?? Idk but I love that idea)
So I was wondering if it was the same or different for your Donnie? Do the Drax brothers have more of a yokai fashion sense or like- idk, what do they think of human fashion?
I have no idea is that makes sense but words are difficult
I think I've seen the same post actually, haha! Yeah, I really like the idea of Donnie being into fashion, and I don't see why it would be different for AU Donnie. As for the Drax Bros, I mentioned it in This Post but their outfits are mostly inspired by what Draxum wears, which in universe would be explained by them wanting to be like their father by emulating his sense of style. After the whole Redemption Arc thing and the Draxum family decides to abandon their Evil Plan, the trio might start exploring and developing their own taste in fashion.
Leo I feel like would be quite excited to try out human clothes, considering he already has an interest in human stuff. It might actually end up being a bit of a bonding experience for him and Donnie when they properly become friends, with Donnie helping Leo find the right outfits for him!
Mikey and Raph would proably still mostly stick to yōkai clothes, while they do eventually become, not just more open-minded about humanity, but also curious about it, they'd still wanna stick to what they're familiar with.
Actually, with Raph it might be more of a necessity. It would be really hard to find human clothes that'd fit his size, and also work with his spikes. Yōkai on the other hand are a lot more diverse physically than humans, so the people in the Hidden City who work with designing and creating clothes would take that into consideration. So needless to say it would be easier for Raph to find yōkai clothes that fit him rather than human clothes.
Seasons probably don't effect the Hidden City that much, I'd assume? Cuz it's underground? So the Drax turtles might not have that much experince with seasons. Still, I don't think they'd love winter considering the fact that they're reptiles and as such are more sensitive to cold. (I think Draxum would've made sure they're more resistant to cold than normal turtles, it would be quite inconvinient if they started brumating in the middle of a fight just cuz it was snowing lol, but they're still more susceptible to it than mammals)
I think Mikey would appreciate autumn, when all the leaves turn a vibrant orange. Both because as an artist he'd appreciate the autumn aesthetic and because... y'know, orange. I think all the bros would like summer cuz, again, reptile biology, they'd like the heat.
I'd assume yokai would have their own unique holidays that the Draxum family would celebrate, no idea what those would be, though.
Draxum has definitely informed his sons about how dangerous Big Mama is and how bad it would be if she found out that they were literally created with her favorite champion's stolen DNA. They don't like her and know to avoid her, if any business is being done between their family and Big Mama then Draxum is the one who handles most of the negotiations.
And lastly - episodes like Todd Scouts and Snow Day, and then The Mud Dogs - none of these I have figured anything out for of how they would be handled in the AU sooooo no answer for ya there, sorry!

How to answer tough interview questions.
Subscribing to the Harvard Business Review was one of the best decisions I made. I have learned so much about career development, personal branding, and job crafting. This article summarizes some of the questions you will get asked in a behavioral interview (courtesy of HBR) and I have included my responses to all of them. Assume I am seeking a HR role in a Fortune 500 company
Tell me about yourself and describe your background in brief?
How did you hear about this position?
What type of work environment do you prefer?
How do you deal with pressure or a stressful situation?
Do you prefer working independently or on a team?
How do you keep yourself organized when balancing multiple projects?
What did you do in the last year to improve your knowledge?
Tell me about yourself and describe your background in brief?
I grew up in small country in West Africa. I went to a great school through scholarship with the condition that I would pay it forward to the younger generation. So, after high-school I spent two years teaching math to elementary school kids. It was there I discovered my interest of people development. I enjoyed taking a kid from "I don't like math to can I get more homework? When I moved to the U.S for college I chose to study Psychology with a minor in Organizational Development. And my internship as a Human Capital Manager has allowed me to further develop my communication and leadership skills.
How did you hear about this position?
I learned about this position through Stacy Williams. She was one of the panelists on the fireside chat I convened in my school on the importance of women in leadership positions. I followed up with her through a coffee chat. She really enjoyed her job and the company culture. Her enthusiasm about her work encouraged me to apply and I am really excited to be going through the interview process.
What type of work environment do you prefer?
I thrive in environments where I am constantly learning. A place where each days brings a fresh set of challenges that I can solve. I also like working with teams where we can collaborate on tasks and brainstorm solution-oriented ideas. In my former internship I worked with an incredible team as a project manager in the human resources division and I worked on certain projects where I had full creative control on the outcome. I enjoyed the balance of both.
How do you deal with pressure or a stressful situation?
Stressful situations are inevitable and I learned to navigate them successful throughout my college career and my various internships. The first time I came across a stressful situation was in my Sophomore year. I worked as a customer service representative at a big department store and it was holiday season. You can imagine the amount of pressure - long lines of customers all waiting to get attended too. Instead of succumbing to the pressure I made sure to really understand the pain point of each customer which were long wait times and stock outs. If we were out of one brand of sparkling water, I would quickly recommend a different brand. If lines were long, I would go to the floor to help the bagging process. Customers left feeling satisfied with their shopping experience. Overtime, I have realized that the key to dealing with pressure is willingly choosing to complete the tasks with a positive mindset instead of worrying.
Do you prefer working independently or on a team?
I like a mix of both. I enjoy working on a team. The process of strategizing with my teammates on the best way to approach a problem allows for critical analysis and diverse points of view. Wh I also build camaraderie and trust with them while we tackle big problems. I enjoy working alone as well because I get to see how I approach different problems and compare my current performance to my previous ones. Working alone also gives me an opportunity to get feedback from my managers on my progress or areas of improvement. I like a balance of both.
How do you keep yourself organized when balancing multiple projects?
I am used to working on multiple projects. A typical semester for me is juggling between my classes, weekend job, extracurricular activities, and passion projects. So to stay on top of my deadlines and due dates I like to prioritize my tasks based on their level of urgency and importance. I use the time blocking method to schedule time for my projects. I take advantage of tools like Google calendar to keep track of due dates and appointments and Notion to manage big projects.
What did you do in the last year to improve your knowledge?
Last summer, I took some time off to really learn about veganism. It seemed intimidating at first because I did not know enough. So I turned to research to understand the facts. I began making home-cooked meals by following recipes from people I trusted and liked on YouTube. As I began noticing changes in my gut health and productivity levels, I started a blog to share my experiences. Now my blog has over 500 enthusiastic vegans who are on the same journey as I am. it was one of the best investment I made in myself.

Hi it's me again (the person who asked about Harley in CC).
This isn't really an ask, I just figured if I did the first anonymously I might as well keep that up now, which is why I didn't make this a comment instead.
I kind of figured her Jewishness had something to do with why her case was complex. I kept waiting in the show to see if they would reference her being Jewish, since Asian Jews exist even if many people seem oblivious to that fact. Anyway, they never did. So it ended up feeling like they just decided Asians had more diversity points than Ashkenazi Jews (maybe they do, but personally I don't like to rate different minorities on how rewarded I will be if I include them). But since she's only visibly Asian, then that especially puts a light on how they are only diversifying their story in a shallow way, since being Jewish isn't always visible (and isn't visible in Harley's original design), and they are trying to look as "diverse" as possible, rather than actually consider the implications.
I feel like with Harley, it could have actually been a great chance to move away from Ashkenormativity that is so present in Western media.
I wish she was at least allowed to keep her accent, I miss it, because I knew what it meant.
Not gonna lie, did not expect this to be so long. I guess this was bugging me more than I realized. When I wrote my original ask, I guess I was trying to confirm a suspicion, and when it got confirmed I just let my thoughts spill out of me. Anyway, I'm not trying to erase the fact that Harley is half-Jewish with this. Interfaith families deserve to be regarded as such. I think it's just hurtful because out of the major Jewish DC characters (Batman, Batwoman, Hal Jordan, Superman (allegorically)), she is one of the few that people actually know is Jewish, and who's Jewishness often impacts her character.
If there's a perspective you feel like I'm ignoring with this, please tell me. I'm always open to learn.
Pretty much all this! If I was to add just a little bit of additional interesting information was that I too was holding my breath, thinking there was a possibility that Harley's Jewishness would show up in CC even after the casting news because her voice actress (Jamie Chung) is married to a Jewish man. Their wedding incorporated Jewish traditions and even now the two have baby twins who are raised in an interfaith family and celebrate holidays from both heritages. How cool would that be for someone to have that personal experience and bring that to Harley!! But alas. Nothing in CC.
Even when Harley was white, her Jewishness has been chiseled away in a lot of adaptations lately. Which is so sad when her character is literally defined by Jewish identity and a straight up real Jewish woman. We're entering this insidious era of "representation" where characters are being superficially race or gender bent for "diversity" while taking away what made their original characters radical to begin with.
Lois went from being this no nonsense, exceptional career woman to regressing to being less than her 50s era. Now she needs the help of two men to get hired by the Daily Planet and the lesson is "I might not be as career savvy, but at least I got my man" in MAWS. But she's Asian now so you're a racist loser if you hate that. This is the case for sooo many characters in modern adaptation now and it's sad seeing people easily fall for it.
#askjesncin#jesncin dc meta#jesncin talks caped crusader#whenever i racebend characters for jl remix it's with the express intent to make the character more radical than the source material#revitalize the existing themes to be more inclusive but also specific. it is bizarre seeing this “whitewash with diverse paint” trend#make the lesser representation of all these characters. u end up wanting their og white/male versions back for very nuanced reasons#“oh you're just racist” no i just miss it when this character wasn't bland-ified

The polar region
!This is quite big world building post of pure hyper fixation and murdered English be warned!
General geography
The polar region is located on the south of the globe, on one of the only two continents. Due to the axis of the planet it is covered in almost eternal night, which consequently causes there to be extremely cold and dark. However, the life conditions are surprisingly welcoming(not great or anything but enough to live) thanks to the high seismicity and volcanic activity of the area, which provides both of light and warmth essential for sustaining life. The region is the land of contrasts -snow, freezing cold water and boiling hot lava basically stands side by side. The continent, caressingly called Scylla or Jörmung, is made of two elements separated by inner sea. First part is the barrier reef made of basalts and volcanic glass. In walls of the barrier are located still active volcanoes keeping the area warm and snow free. It is believed that underneath the first few layers of the ring there is still living and breathing lava waiting to break free from the tough and stiff shell. The reef has only one passage through often referred as the throat. That's the only safe way to the inner part of the continent, unless you can sail well enough. The importance of this sea route is hard to even express, but it's enough to create in its name a special holiday known as "Iconmas". During the celebration locals hammer nails into the walls of the throat and hang the leather portraits of lost in the sea and their fautors as a memorial and sacrifice. The second element is the continent itself. It's covered almost entirety with glacier, only occasionally by the sea side you may experience the black rocky or sandy beaches. In the middle of the land there are few small mountain ranges made of sleeping volcanoes. These giants are the key elements of survival in these land as they are riverheads of the continent. It's activity both melts the ice creating warm rivers with fresh water and creates lava rivers which prevent from renewed freezing and provide light. This combination allows life to sprout in the harsh conditions of southern pole giving the beginning to small forests near rivers. The sea(it's technically a lagoon) separates both landmasses. It's might not be the deepest, the saltiest or the most tempestuous sea of the planet but still quite challenging to navigate on. The waters of the lagoon are quite warm around 10°C(for the place with no sunlight it's warm) and freezes only during coldest months of winter. The sea bottom is full of hydrothermal vents, rocky spikes of volcanic origin, icebergs and reefs which brings great danger to unprepared sailors.
Flora
The flora of the polar region is not very diverse but is made of exclusively endemic species. Climate, access to light and running water is highly limited which forced plants to lose many typical characteristics and develop brand new modifications. Everything to survive and thrive in it's own unique way. Common traits of local plants are small size, yellowish needles(etioplasts), and overall similar to the gymnospermea's wood and liber structure

Most of the them are delicate herbs with long vernalization period, perennial plants and cryptogamic plants with wood like structures. Their needles and petals are usually covered in fuzz/pubescence and are quite searing in touch. These plants rearly blooms. The tiny weather window allowing plants to be pollinated and form fruits lasts only few weeks when sunlight reaches peaks of mountains. The fruits of these plants are usually eatable for witches, demons and titans and are rear source of vitamins and anthocyanins

In the polar region there are only three types of trees. All grow in close distance from the rivers and eachother creating thick rotting system. Development of tough bark covered in wax and thermal pith allows them to survive the winter season while protecting from toxic fumes released by lava. These plants are not reliant on skylight or temperature and their blooming and fruition periods are regulated by phytohormones. The fruits resemble fruits of yew-tree. These plants are main source of plant base materials used by locals
Architecture
The architecture of the continent is highly influenced by the climate. The buildings are made to protect owners from cold, wind and snow. The structures are minimalistic, simple, often tall with strong fundaments, thick walls similar to fortresses and with little to none ornaments. Locals prefer the practicality and safety over the esthetic values when it comes to their homes and public buildings, especially since delicate decorations could quickly be destroyed by weather. Due to the constant darkness good lighting inside and outside the homes is crucial part of every structure. There is nothing more valuable in the land of the night than a tiny star guiding you through snow and halls

Titan's architecture is pure definition of the polar architecture style. Fortress , medieval like castles strong enough to withstand blizzards and storms. Tall and simple building towering over any other constructions nearby. They are located on remote island, hillsides of volcanoes or the barrier. The top storeys often has small stained windows as an only decorative element of the construction. The main entrance in comparison to usual open arch commonly found in architecture of other titans are replaced by heavy wooden gateway. Polar titans have very sensitive eyesight, adapted to the night vision, which results in very specific type of lighting inside their homes. All chandeliers, lamps and fireplaces emits reddish light, which is less irritating for their eyes. The effect is attained thanks to usage of special type of glass mixed with gold compounds and ambers imported from other isles. The most striking characteristic of the titan architecture is the main material they use. White fortress generated from their magic resembles in the composition titan bones. It's hard to not notice them from the afar. The contrast between black basalts, dark waters of ocean, slowly spilling lava and opal tower is impossible to miss. Unlikely demons and witches who need to collect materials, prepare and construct their homes. Process of building the titan's towers takes little to no time and effort, while achieving results beyond capabilities of any other species. After all it's hard to complete with a magic that could sprout out any life the titan could imagine

The witches architecture is much less impressive than titan's architecture. While titans style are monumental, making their buildings leaving passerbyes in awe, witches building are brutalist simple and raw. Made of the dark wood, stones, ceiling covered with the thick layer of moss and tiny windows facing alleys and paths. Heavy snow fall forces the construction to be placed higher in order to be capable of getting in or out. It resulted in creating "huts on hen's legs". These houses are very tight. Usually there are only 4 rooms connected with a big fireplace that heat, light and was used to cook food. Beds are usually built in special wardrobes that preserved warmth better. In harsh conditions where they happened to live individual villages without titans protection didn't exist or lasted longer than few years. The only choice are large towns usually located near ocean or river mouths. In order to fit the population on that limited area all architecture was forced to go up instead around. The huts of the cities were built in the way that creates layers of very tight located buildings connected with hanging wooden pavements and ladders. The status of a witch often is expressed by their house location and size: wealthier the witch taller their house is and nearer the main alleys it's built. The worst location to live were flood zones and areas near the forest wall
Residents
A bit of polar titans adaptation to their environment introduction:

Polar titans are in many ways extremely similar to polar bears. Their fur works almost identical, has similar structure, colour, qualities, only skin instead of black is blue. Their eyes are adapted to the minimal amount of light it can catch, a few cones, plenty of rods. They're simply colourblind but with excellent night vision. Polars possess some marine animals features which are carry-over from the times when they were still nomads and usually travel by seas. Similar to our bears situation polar titans are statistical the biggest of all races. To be safe, warm, active and happy. Also the height difference between titans, witches and demons are the biggest in polar region as all three groups fit in very similar niche and extremely limited resources. Witches got a lot smaller and develop brown fat to keep existing, while titans become significantly bigger and fluffier

The society of the continent is quite hierarchical. Not only it's separated on the gods(titans) and their votary(witches and demons) but also statues (titan > demon > witches) witch can be traced back to magic predisposition. Similarly to all isles during that era. The species social structures have also their own hierarchy, professions and titles.
Titans all are on top-level in society, as gods creators of life and lords of sea there wasn't even discussion why. Usually they wear coats made of yellow needles of trees, "skirt" made of fine selkidomus's leather and as the typical element of titan's fashion embroidered ribbons engrained with red ink. Inside this group are separated smaller ones including:
Sherpas - tiny group of titans living on hillsides of the barrier reefs away from cities. They are guides of caravans when the throat is clogged or frozen and watchers of the sea. It is believed that they prevents great floods from hitting the capital and other towns. Sherpas also keep the flame of the lighthouse
Njörðr - traders who operates on the continental sea and around the continent(difference between quennian and them are the area they travel). Out of all groups the distance between them and votary is the smallest
Joms - skilled warriors who follows similar moral code as vikings used to. They believe that the highest honour is to die in the battle, which leads to their quite big percentage in mercenaries. In eyes of the local witches they would be treated like heros of epos and myths who fought monsters and new gods(unless they are not the one who invades)
Jarls- the true highest gods of the continent. They are the core of the city, the first and grand patrons of the towns. Their supervision allowed votary to gather and built everything from homes to harbours. All other groups of titans also falls under their protection and rule. Whole social, cultural, religious and political life is more or less tied with the jarl of the land. Often their birthday or death dates are celebrated like religious holidays
Grylian - members of the "knight" order, not much is known about them except they live in the most isolated island in the continent, chop their horns down and tie their muzzles. Sometimes witches reports seeing unknown boats, nothing like any local ones, stalking them while fishing. Local authorities usually does nothing with it. They know whose these boats are. If they are harmless and don't want any greater contact why to bother. The rumours spread around titans points that they might be form of a cult who believes in the old myth of witches predicting the end of the world
The witches of the continent have the the lowest status in the social hierarchy. Being generally quite delicate and often defensless with their tiny bilesacks in the world were strength and magic is to be or not to be is difficult. In exchange for the protection they offered their labour and fruits it. Witches of polar region are chubby-cheeked, fuzzy eraed and have greater night vision than others witches for different regions. They usually wear warm ushanka, long selkieskin vest , and few inner layers of robes. They always carry with themselves lanterns to safely navigate through woods, seas and city.
Seamster - a sewers are highly valued craftsmen. It's not uncommon to see these artisans being treated with the greatest honours, even better than many officials. Their bright colourful aprons are symbols of their profession and years of mastering the craft. Old diaries, from the times when gods wander around the world, says that witches supposedly gained the favours of titans by giving them sewer's masterworks. That could explain why out of all professions seamsters are adored so much
Courtier - small group of witches who live and serve titans in their homes. Scope of duties is quite wide but offers great benefits and better future for kids. You can always tell if the witch is a courtier or not by their hair - all of them have bleached hair. There is no rule to do so, but they at some point of history members of this group started to do so. Allegedly to resemble more gods their serve. Common fashion choices are also branches in hair and needle coat exactly the same titans wear on their daily routines
Priest - caretakers of temples. They organise all celebrations, plead blessings, prepare sacrifices, keep the shrines clean. Similarly to couriers they wear branches attached to their hats. Also priests wear coats made out of their gods fur, which are collected after ceremonial fur-cutting. Priests are prohibited from ever living the temple, to keep them inside they don't have shoes, gloves or real winter coats. Quite often thier toes are being broken which prevents them from walking away. It's believed that if a priest leaves their temple whole area will be cursed
Titan trapper - "anyone, young, old, rich, poor, courtier or fisherman can be member of the cult. They look exactly the same as any other witch, no special signs. Behaves, talks, moves, works normally. Only time when you can surely tell something is wrong is when they strike. When you fall asleep. They draw on their face these weird wide smiles and will try to stab you. I don't knows what this grin mean. It's creepy like they caught rabies or sth and now they out of thier minds. But somone heard them..." this would be the description of titan trapper made by a titan. It was the beginning of the horror, too early to understand or know anything. But the smile is just directed symbol of new gods, in pure darkness you can see only eyes and smile staring at you
It's not all but hit the limit of photos and will be a bit of continuation

Earth 101: A Manual for the Visiting Cybertronian
Chapter Two : Earth Weather
Earth, with its vast biomes and diverse terrains, has a variety of weather patterns that can change drastically from day to day, and have particular seasons with which they are often divided.
This has also been the cause of …particular issues for the newcomer Cybertronian, as the climate can have adverse effects on our biomechanics.
As a gentle reminder, please be sure to thank your medic when leaving the med bay after repairs.A bottle or two of high-grade Energon also goes a long way.
Divided into the Northern and Southern hemispheres, Earth cycles through 4 seasons, each with their own type of weather.
The four seasons by which the planet goes through, as labeled as:
Spring : Temperate to warm weather, usually brings the thawing of winter and replenishing of flora and fauna alike.
Summer: The warmest of the seasons, the planting of crops and their growth occurs here, as well as many an activity in the sun
Fall or Autumn: Harvest season, known to be the beginning of a cooling in the weather and when most flora experience a change in color to prepare for the next season.
Winter: The coldest of the seasons, this season is also known as the ‘holiday season’ due to many Earth holidays occurring during the jours, or rather, Terran months it overlaps.
These seasons last roughly 3 months each, but due to changes in the Earth’s ozone layer in a phenomenon known as ‘global warming’, which has caused quite severe changes to the climate of Earth in some places.
Primus help them, we can only hope this does not continue with our presence here.
The Northern hemisphere is known to host generally colder climates, whilst the Southern hemisphere hosts warmer climates.
The planet’s equator is the centralized area of its warmest zone.
This said, interestingly enough, when it is summer in one hemisphere, it is often winter in the other, in a rather fascinating exchange!
They oppose each other, meaning that through the 3 months it is the opposite season in the other region.
The equator tends to average around the same weather all of the orbital cycle, known as a year, around the
Truly intriguing, the various weather patterns of Earth.
Earth is known to have various forms of weather, ranging from sunny days, cloudy, foggy, rainy or even snow.
That said, Earth weather can also be quite dangerous.
Storms such as hurricanes, tsunamis, tropical storms, and blizzards can devastate entire sections of Earth, and even wipe entire cities off the map.
We have witnessed some of these devastating incidents.
We only hope that humans can find peace after these tragedies.
With each type of weather of course, come certain rules and warnings about potential hazards that could occur.
For example, not even the greatest of the Autobots is immune to the icy roads of the northernmost parts of the world, as our beloved Prime informed us after he spun out due to a particularly vicious patch of black ice amidst a snow storm.
Luckily no harm was done, as he crashed into the snow on the roadside. All that was harmed was perhaps his dignity when he informed us about the incident in a kind reminder to not repeat his actions, so as to avoid harm to ourselves and to others on the road.
Ever so watchful is he.
The same cannot be said for …others within our ranks however.
Incidents with wild weather reported for documentation within this field guide are as follows:
A scientist studying the weather patterns of Earth amidst a particularly wild storm learned what the function of the aptly named lightning rod was. By becoming one involuntarily. Thankfully, said patient now seeks shelter when such storms come to pass.
One of our scouts learned the hard way that driving through fog can be a disorienting and frightening experience. It is not for the faint of Spark. Proceed with caution
Hailstorms. Spheres of ice sometimes the size of Scraplets that falls from the skies. It is as terrifying as it sounds.
One too many Autobot and Con alike have tried to become what is known on Earth as 'storm chasers'. Medical Officer Ratchet implores that the next to attempt such, will only learn from being swirled within a tornado and that the damage from such an event is very tedious to repair.
Please do not attempt to drive through flooded areas after heavy rains. Your engine will become full of water and proceed to stall. It is not worth splashing each other to have this happen.
High winds can push even the largest of us off the road. And we do mean this literally.
We advise parking indoors when choosing to remain in vehicle mode or keeping your heating on when in cold weather. Your vehicle mode can in fact be encased in ice entirely if not careful. It is as annoying and freezing as it sounds.
For those who are flight inclined, be they Decepticon, Autobot or neutral, be aware of snow, rain, lightning, hail, and more, as they can blind the pilot if particularly severe. Even the well known Starscream has been known to crash land due to hail and sleet causing less than optimal flying conditions.
Heatwaves [No we do not mean the Sigma-17 leader, Heatwave] can be cause for our biomechs to overheat and falter, requiring significant cooling, as there have in fact been cases of engines catching on fire or outright shutting down from the intense heat.
Beware of blizzards, as we do not wish anyone to freeze within the piles of snow known to loosen in this.
Earthquakes can cause catastrophic chains of events to occur. Please be aware that aftershocks may occur afterwards.
The rescue team known as Sigma-17 has told us of a good many weather incidents like those mentioned within this chapter. Their testimony was vital for this chapter, and we thank them for their duty in rescue operations of all manner.
Please be sure to contact an official, medic or rescue service in the event of an emergency or accident, no matter the severity.
This concludes our initial overview of Earth Weather and Climates. Direct appropriate queries to the proper channels for more information.

first - i just want to say thank you for making this blog. it’s so important to know that we aren’t alone in the many things we’re experiencing and feeling right now, especially when so many of us have become painfully isolated as of late.
i apologize for how long this one is going to be.
i’ve been feeling so, so alone recently. my tumblr dash has been cut down to just a handful of jewish blogs that i can trust to be kind and understanding and nuanced, but it means that the majority of the content i see is about antisemitism and the war. after a while, it becomes draining to scroll through what feels like endless sadness. i turned to looking at fandom tags instead of following fandom blogs, but it makes me feel equally as insane to click on a blog about race cars and immediately see a post with 60k notes calling what’s happening in gaza “the new holocaust”. i started going back on twitter, but fan accounts on there too are only safe for a day or so before the account owner shares some awful antisemitic tweet from an account known to be an anti-jewish extremist. i went back on instagram briefly, but i was soon afraid to look at people’s stories for fear i’d see something terrible and lose yet another trusted person from my life.
in person, i have to walk by signs saying “zionism = genocide” and hastily scribbled palestinian flags with the colors in the wrong spot on my way to class every day. a wall across from my apartment says “BDS” in giant letters. i haven’t opened my curtains in months because of it. a “protest” of about 25 people stood in the center of campus and yelled and waved their fists in passing students’ faces, so jewish students didn’t go to class on any of the days they gathered. i only have one non jewish friend left at school - the rest abandoned me because i either called them out on antisemitic rhetoric or refused to go along with the idea that anyone, palestinian or israeli, muslim or jewish, is less than human. i had taken several of them along to our hillel’s seder in the past. i don’t know who i can safely go with this year. i have a few jewish friends, of course, but i love bringing goyische friends with little connection to judaism along to experience how joyful and loving jewish holidays can be.
it feels like there is no escape from this fucking war. it sickens me that it’s the only thing people pretend to care about - where is the attention for sudan, ukraine, armenia, uyghurs in china, syria, guyana? how is putting an emoji in your twitter bio or putting a translucent overlay of the palestinian flag on your tumblr icon any sort of real activism? how have we gone from “antisemitism is wrong” to “(((zionists))) control the world media”? it seems like the war is a fandom to these people. it seems like nobody cares enough to fully read and think critically about what they share, let alone do real research beyond looking at an infographic somebody shared on their instagram story. they’ll add on “don’t forget your click today!” to an unrelated twitter thread that went viral, flip the bird at the local starbucks, and put “won’t you free my palestine” on their instagram stories. they’ll anonymously tell a jew online to commit suicide. they’ll feel secure in the knowledge that they’re the perfect leftist, that this is somehow “good trouble”. all this praxis, and nothing to show for it but massive surges in hate crimes against jews. good job, guys! you singlehandedly saved every innocent person in gaza!
it’s isolating. it’s scary. jews can’t mourn. jews can’t be angry. jews can’t disagree. jews can’t suffer. jews can’t be whole, complex people with diverse beliefs and experiences. suffering is a game, and the goal is to hurt the most, scream the most, die the most, all to appease western leftists whose closest connection to war and violence was reading the hunger games in middle school.
i’m tired of it all. i want a peaceful and just resolution to the war. i want the mindless hatred everywhere to stop. i want to be able to scroll through social media and see nothing but fandom. i want to walk through campus with my magen david showing and all the friends i lost by my side on the way to the hillel seder. i want to open my curtains again. i know the experience of one diaspora jew is nothing compared to what people living in israel and palestine are currently going through, yet i still need this all to end. i don’t think any of us can go on like this, but we must, because we have. for thousands of years, we’ve gone on. that still doesn’t mean it has to be this hard all the time.
all i can think is “now we are slaves. next year may we be free.” now we are slaves to hatred and violence and suffering. next year may we all be free. next year may we all be in jerusalem.

This week, word got out that the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, was looking to hire “world-class talent to work long hours identifying/eliminating waste, fraud and abuse.” It turns out that people had a lot of ideas about who should apply for those jobs. Elon Musk and his team of 19-24 year old tech minions have been bulldozing through federal agencies, hacking into sensitive data, shutting down USAID, threatening federal workers with termination, and a host of other illegal and questionable activities. Protests against Musk and DOGE erupted in cities nationwide. Now, the hiring site join.doge.gov has become a focal point for the outrage as people submit mock applications. Hitler, Mussolini and Franco all “submitted” applications. One comment quipped “There’s a lot of out-of-work fascists since WWII.” Under qualifications, their applications mentioned things like “good at getting rid of bureaucratic red tape” and “leader in downsizing populations.” Cruella De Vil (using the email [email protected]) let Musk know that she has experience in breaking up Black/white relationships, views DOG(E)s as part of her brand, and has conducted round-ups before. Ebenezer Scrooge, though ineligible for being a British citizen, nonetheless lauded his world-famous “penny-pinching” and “ruthless cost-saving measures” and “willingness to work on holidays.” The Grinch wrote, “I stole Christmas. What more do you need?” At one point, the website threw up blocks to prevent online attacks. It’s back now (in case you were wondering).
This flood of spam comments and fake responses to the DOGE hiring site is one of many similar campaigns aiming to overwhelm hotlines and emails. A Missouri government tip site for submitting complaints about gender-affirming care was taken down after people overwhelmed it with rambling anecdotes and the “Bee Movie” script. Similar protest emails have been sent to the Office of Personnel Management, or OPM, which is trying to get reports of noncompliance with their anti-trans efforts. Sending messages to [email protected], people are attempting to use a flood of complaints to prevent snitching from targeting federal workers upholding trans inclusion. After the Trump administration warned federal employees of “adverse consequences” for not reporting colleagues resisting orders to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion programs, citizens began submitting false reports to the special email account: [email protected]. Here’s one example: “A man named Donald Trump is doing affirmative action for billionaires and oligarchs against the mandate to stop hiring minority groups.” Another campaign has been emailing the DOGE Caucus and suggesting that they cut the military budget or SpaceX contracts instead. (DOGE itself has no publicly available emails, but people can contact this pro-DOGE group at: [email protected]) The tactic of spamming websites, emails and hotlines tries to render them inoperable, or at least inconvenient, to those trying to use them to report or repress resistance. These kind of tactics have been used numerous times, often to great success. In 2021, Reddit users supported striking Kellogg’s workers by crashing the scab hiring website. In 2022, a teen coded a program to help other teens spam a tip line for reporting critical race theory being taught in schools. In 2024, Utah and Indiana’s snitch lines on bathroom accessibility was overwhelmed with hoax reports. Humor and rebellious defiance play an important role in these bleak times. The fake applications aren’t just about jamming up the system. They’re returning a sense of agency to people, affirming their humanity and unleashing a bit of much-needed laughter.
