Guess's on How Sasappis died.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sasappis is the last ghost for us to learn his death. Sass is very private (undead) person, and we have been given no real/clear hints to his death. His ghost power (To enter into the dreams of the livings) could easily correlate to him being a story teller, and not necisarly "He died in his sleep, after catching a sever fever, that also caused him to have very strange dreams. Note I do not believe that Sass died of a fever. They would have incorporated some sign of it into his character. He would be more tired, feel more cold, possibly have a "unexplainable sweating problem". He also does not have any vibsiable gaping wounds, like Pete, Flower, or Stephanie, so that rules out death by attacker. So the question is how did Sass die
Now he could have died of some kind of sickness, but I do not think it is very likely. For one thing he is implied to have had a sudden death, just days before an important tribal ceremony he was planning/supposed to take part in. Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't most sickness take a period of weeks, months, years to do him in. A second thing again he isn't really sickly in the the show. All the cholera ghosts are flushed and still hacking. Issac will sneeze and mention stomach pains. But Sass seems fine, so if he has any kind of sickness then he has been masking it for 500 years. That is really sad.
He also could have could died if he went walk in the woods one night and fell from a cliff or out of a tree... but if that happened well that is kinda anti-climactic for how long we had to wait. I would rate that on the same scale as Thorfinn dying because he went walking with his helmet, through a storm and was struck by lightening. It is just a case of him not being as careful as he should have been. Not nearly an impressive follow up to Alberta or Hetty's more recently revealed deaths.... But you could make it more sad. Sass and his crush Shiki are implied to have died in the same year. Sass says that when they were alive, he was ghosted by Shiki after gifting a freshly killed deer to her family, as a jester of love. What if that was because Shiki actually went missing (i.e. died) shortly after, and Sass went out to search for her?
Another death I have considered was a food related one. A detail of Sass's character is is the most in love with food smells (the closest they can come to eating) of all the ghosts. He hangs out in the kitchen whenever Jay is cooking, consistently begs Sam and Jay to cook more of his favorite smelling food: pepperoni pizza, and I am honestly half expecting him to move into the barn once Jay's restaurant opens... What if Sass's love of food is actually a hint at his death? Maybe he had an allergy and accidentally ate something he was not supposed to? Or, maybe he had diabetes or some other dietary need, a crop or the meat from a particular animal, and Sass died when it was wiped out or disappeared. With so many people in the U.S. having dietary issues, and the countries known love of food, I could see the show choosing to write an episode on dietary importance, and the need for people from all walks of life to have access to healthy food.
My finale theory is one I have actually gotten off Tumblr, from the people who are fans of both the CBS and BBC series. Some people are suggesting Sass got bit by a poison snake or something and died from the poison venom. The puncture marks are small enough for Sass to be able to conceal with his clothing. Apparently something of the similar nature happened to BBC's Kitty? And I actually know a really good way to blend that into Sass's personality and a possible reason for why he became a ghost. Sass as mentioned loves stories and is a gifted story teller. But also as mentioned he is very private person who gets nervous about speaking in front of crowds. A week before the tribes festival Sass's father gave him an eagle's feather, which was believed to help bring confidence and courage. But what if Sass was still nervous/afraid afterwards. What as the days got closer got more more nervous/afraid, until he decided to do something reckless and stupid, to prove to himself that he could be brave. Something like walking through a more dangerous (poison animal infested) part of valley, telling himself "If I can brave this I will have no reason to be afraid of anything anymore". While that would not be the most exciting death, it would be very tragic, and it could set up "Overcoming the fears he had as a living", all of them, as Sass's unfinished business. Essentially, he would need to become a more rounded and confident person. Note that seems to also be Pete's unfinished business. Sass and Pete are roommates, and we have had at least a few really nice episodes exploring their relationship. It would be really cool if that continued to him and Pete having to teach themselves the same thing, but in different ways.

Streamer player who got into the game with their phone and aren't exactly behaving the way the employers expected them to at first💥
Auditor goes on his little monologue about you being important to this entire reality and how you being locked up in here is non-negotiable and how you can't just leave! They finally got you here and they're so excited-
Player is giving no visual reactions but he keeps on talking (he. Is acting a bit out of pocket now that the player is finally here! You can't blame him!!!)
Then suddently they just kinda.
Tumblr media
Player is now visibly irritated and typing up a longgg post abt them having to stop streaming for now and how they love their fans and won't stop interacting!!! It will just take longer to post significant content! And apologising profusely to their followers.
As they're doing this they start a very upset rant about the situation they're in
Like they go all the way off💥💥 going from how badly planned their kidnapping was and how if they really wanted the player to stay in this bland little concrete room the employers should have at the very least let them grab a charger. Did they even know if humans could breathe in this atmosphere?? They could have died! Did they even take their medication with them? No? Of course not. God, can it even get any worse? Oh! And just so you know, being locked in a small boring enviroment is very detrimental to any human's mental state! Do they even know if food in nevada can fit their dietary requirements?? If the auditor didn't go on that rant about the importance of the player, they'd assume they were captured to get tortured! If this is the level of planning the employers were capable of, then they could see why they couldn't catch Hank yet.
40 minutes after being left in the room by themselves the player gets out and they apologize for getting so mad.🫡
Tumblr media
(What the rest of the employers see after the auditor leaves the player's room)
Omg, it's something the Employers never expected to see. The consequences of their own actions. 🤯
Yes, we love to see the Player sticking it to the Auditor (and the rest of the Employers), and they do have a point. Besides the observations they made over your webcam, they had no other source of information on humans, and it's not like watching someone play video games and go about their business in their room can tell you about all their needs. Your biology is completely unfamiliar to them, and who knows if you need any specialized medical care to deal with any disorders or ailments you have? Like if you were diabetic, how the hell would you get insulin? Do they even have insulin in Nevada? What about food? Or enrichment? Humans are social creatures, and it's not like talking only to the four of them would be sufficient for that. And that's just a few things in addition to the arguments you gave in your ask as well.
I like to think that the Player is just so done with the situation that they're the one who orders the Auditor to leave the room while they type out a message to their followers. I mean, they just woke up in a whole other dimension/world after being kidnapped. It's not like they'd be all that comfortable with just chilling in the room with the Auditor after giving him the verbal lashing they did lmao.
Meanwhile, the Employer is just beside himself, because he can't exactly weasel his way out of responsibility here or argue against what the Player said - because they're right. The Auditor took a major gamble by really just assuming they would be able to survive there off of some similar details in their surroundings, and if he were any less impulsive, he'd have done some further tests to see if such a thing was really feasible.
What makes it worse for him is that I'm also willing to bet that Stygian or one of the other Employers suggested doing just that, but he didn't listen to them because he never listens to them lmao. (Also I love that picture of the Auditor, it's one of my favorite things in the world now, no joke.)
And it's not like they're going to comfort or support him once he steps out of the room either. In fact, they'll probably chastise him (Stygian totally would at least), and then insist that you were entirely right and they don't think you should apologize at all.
Maybe they're doing it for extra brownie points, as the Auditor's clear fuckup in your eyes provides a very good opportunity to make themselves look good (even if it's extremely hypocritical lol). But then you reference their own work to help the Auditor's plan and throw it back in their faces because you just know he could never do this whole operation alone. (And you're still important to other people besides them regardless, like your beloved fans who're gonna have to deal with the fallout of their selfishness.)
However, fortunately for the other three, your scolding is far less harsh than it had been on the Auditor. That doesn't mean you won't still make a point of it when necessary though.

Episode where Zim is out in his kid disguise instead of one of his adult/old man disguises and someone takes notice of him trying to go somewhere he shouldn't. They come up and ask him "Young man, you know you're not supposed to be here without adult supervision. Where are you parents?" Frustrated that someone would dare disrupt his evil plans, Zim forgets his cover story and blurts out "I don't have parents!"
"Oh, I'm sorry. How long ago did you lose them?"
"Fool! I have never had parents."
"You mean you've been an orphan all your life? That's terrible!"
"It is not terrible! It's great! I have no need for guardianship or supervision."
"So there's no one looking after you?"
"Zim needs no one! Now rescind your pity human!"
"Oh no! It's so much worse than I thought. You poor brave boy. Don't worry, you won't have to be alone for much longer!"
And then the interloper calls child services, who forcibly place Zim in an orphanage. He can't take back anything he said about being an orphan before because neither he nor the Roboparents have social security numbers and their address and phone number aren't registered anywhere.
A couple quickly comes looking to adopt and they decide they want to take on the challenge of a "problem child" who's not likely to get adopted by anyone else. So they take Zim home with them for a trial adoption. Initially it seems like it's going to turn into something like Orphan where the nice family is oblivious to the danger Zim presents as he plans to make them into his latest test subjects. But just as Zim's about to implant some questionable device into one of the family members, something happens that freaks Zim out so much he loses his nerve.
He becomes increasingly anxious as the family members never give him a moment alone, following him from room to room constantly pestering him to ask if he's okay.
"Do you like this show? We could switch to a different channel."
"Is it too cold for you? We could turn the thermostat up."
"Would you like some hot cocoa? Some warm milk, perhaps? Soda?"
"Hey, we were thinking of Mac & Cheese for dinner tonight. But do you have any dietary concerns? Are you lactose intolerant? Gluten-free? Vegan? Diabetic?"
"Are you okay with the volume everyone is speaking at? We could speak softer if you want."
"OR LOUDER IF YOU'RE HAVING TROUBLE HEARING US!"
"Do you need a blanket?"
"We bought you some pajamas. But we can take them back if you don't like them."
"Do you want to talk about your feelings?"
"You know this is a safe place, right?"
"Don't be afraid to speak up if there's anything you need."
"Or if there's anything you want to talk about."
"We're always here to lend an ear."
Zim gets majorly creeped out and is convinced they're really human spies trying to get him to reveal himself and give away Irken military secrets.
He tries to get some privacy, but the only place where he can be alone is the bathroom. There's only one, and there are so many family members they have a schedule for who can use it when. But not to worry, they've already rearranged it to give him Thursdays at 3:30 and every other Saturday at 2:00am.
They send him to a new skool, which is much better than the one he went to before. It's clean, well funded with facilities in good repair, and best of all, there's no Dib around to harass him. But the staff at the new skool are far more professional than at the old skool and Zim's new teacher doesn't tolerate classroom disruptions, shocking Zim when he sends him to the principal's office within his first minute of class. At first Zim thinks it's a blessing in disguise because it means time away from his extremely clingy new foster siblings, but the one he shares a class with ends up getting sent to the office on purpose so he could stay by Zim's side. Zim does not appreciate the gesture of solidarity.
Zim comes home and his new foster parents tell him the principal called, but it's okay. They're not mad, they know it's going to take time for him to adjust. They also remind him that it's 3:30 and today is Thursday, which means it's finally his turn to use the bathroom.
He only has fifteen minutes, but he plans on escaping out the window. But it turns out the family have installed a state of the art security system to keep him from escaping. They aren't mad when he trips it though. They understand. Moving into a new home with a bunch of strangers can be scary, and he might think he wants to go back to the life he knew before because the familiarity of it is comforting, but they promise if he just gives them a chance they're sure they can make him happy.
Zim has no choice but to endure the two week trial adoption period. Initially, he figures if he acts like a little shit they won't want to adopt him and he'll get sent back to the orphanage from which he can make an escape. Halfway through however, he has a change of heart. He starts to enjoy regular kid activities like playing video games, family board game night, and riding bikes around the neighborhood, going to skool and learning actually useful and interesting things and not being bullied, having someone come and pick him up when he falls and scrapes his knee and give him an Adhesive Medical Strip and a kiss to make it all better, and the unconditional love and endless patience and forgiveness he's afforded.
He starts to think maybe there's an advantage to the arrangement. He can learn so much more about humans from actually living like one, and surely that would be beneficial to his mission, wouldn't it?
At the end of the two week period, Zim is interviewed and asked if he would like to be permanently adopted. He says "yes", only to be told "That's too bad. It looks like they've decided not to move forward with the adoption." Zim is shocked and dismayed.
"How could they not want Zim?!"
The only answer he gets is that the family "didn't feel like it was the right fit", which leaves Zim perplexed, ruminating over whatever he did wrong to make them not love him.
The episode then ends with the Roboparents coming to the adoption agency to look for a new son. Zim tries to get their attention, but they pass him over for a different prospective child and jet off without him.

Bon appétit - Chapter 7: Chili
[Astarion/Gale]
It's 2 a.m., Gale's tired and wants some food. Astarion, the cute barista/waiter at the Emerald Grove knows how to sate his cravings.
Trigger warning (18+): Alternate Universe - Modern Setting, No Magic, No Vampire, No Wizard, Graphic Description of Sex, Smut, Anal Sex, Fellatio, Fingering, Waiter Astarion, Professor Gale, Angst, Feels, Panic Attack, Face-fucking, Role-play Breeding, Vomiting, Negative Self-talk
Served to: @patheticfangirl
Special thanks to her for giving me the 'be gay, do crimes' brainworm (thankfully, it's not a tadpole).
"What?"
Shocked, Gale stared at the vet of the Open Hand Pet Sanctuary, stomach churning with anxiety.
"Your cat's diabetes got worse, thus, she needs the double amount of her daily insulin injection."
Gale couldn't move. He already spent 70gp on her medication per month, plus an additional 50 for the testing supplies.
"I recommend switching to a different food as well that fits her new dietary needs better."
Gale barely suppressed a gasp when he saw the price tag. It was four-times more expensive than the special kibble he already fed her with. Another 200gp gone from his quickly dwindling savings...
"You should think about my recommendation," Dr. Logan droned on. "Otherwise, complications could arise, such as cataract or pancreatitis. The price for surgery would be around 3'500gp and 5'000gp respectively. Thus, it should be prevented at all costs."
Gale's ears were ringing, the edges of his vision was swimming, vertigo rising. He steadied himself against the countertop.
He'd made a payment plan for the upcoming year, every spending had been budgeted. Such big additional expenses hadn't been included.
"Mister Dekarios, are you listen?"
"Yes," lied the addressed, trying to keep breathing.
"Well, then that's settled," Dr. Logan said. "The next visit should be in three month. Have a nice day, Mister Dekarios." He bent down to stick a finger through the lattice of the pet carrier’s door to boop the cat's nose. "Bye, Tara, be good."
"Mreeh!" the addressed complained moodily. With a chuckle, Dr. Logan was off, leaving a very ill Gale behind.
"Schedule for March? How about Wednesday, the twelfth, at 9 a.m.?" asked Miss Bramble, the secretary.
"Sounds good," Gale got out, trying his best to keep his knees from buckling. He quickly grabbed the card with the scheduled visit, the medication, cat food, and Tara's carrier before fleeing the building.
"Have a nice day!" lilted Miss Bramble, but Gale couldn't hear it. The latter practically jumped into his car, locked the door, and gasped for air.
His head was spinning as he thought about the new financial situation. 3'080gp. Almost three-times as much as this year. The quarterly vet visits of 80gp each not included. How was he going to afford this?
"Mrp?" Tara asked. Gale ignored her, too caught up in his own head. His heart was beating so fast that his chest hurt, and he was reminded of the plastic-metal device stuck under his skin. He swallowed and tried to keep his breakfast down. With a yowl, Tara banged against the door of the pet carrier, and Gale opened it with shaking hands. The cat jumped onto his lap with an impressive speed and immediately shoved her head under Gale's bearded chin, purring obnoxiously loudly. The former professor heaved a sigh and started petting Tara's flanks. Her purring vibrated through him, slowly relaxing his tense body, and her rough-textured, little tongue flicked out to lick at the corner of his mouth.
"Thank you," Gale mumbled, kissed the spot between her ears, and scratched her chin. "Let's go home, get in your carrier."
"Mro," complained Tara and rolled up in his lap, gently making biscuits against his soft belly. With a small smile, Gale looked at her.
"This is dangerous, you know? A violation of the safety rules."
"Mrm," Tara rumbled happily. Gale huffed a laugh, turned the car key, and drove home.
When he arrived, he was greeted by three more bills in the mailbox and a letter informing him about an 'unfortunate' increase regarding the interest of the mortgage. Gale's heart sped up again, head spinning. His neatly planned budgeting was falling apart by the second. With shaking hands, Gale placed the letters on the table. He didn't want to lose his childhood home, he didn't want Tara to die, he didn't want to be uselessly unemployed any longer, he didn't want Astarion to leave him. What was he even good for? Gale clutched his aching chest, once more reminded of the foreign object inside his body. This time, he couldn't keep the bile down. He barely made it to the bathroom before vomiting into the porcelain bowl.
When Astarion walked through the door, he found Gale in bed. Motionless, an open book next to him - unread -, Tara rolled up behind his back, and eyes vacantly staring at the windowsill. Immediately, Astarion knew something was wrong.
"What happened, love?" he asked while kneeling down next to the bed to be on eye level with his fiancé. The floodgates opened.
"I'm sorry," cried Gale. "I'm such a useless partner, please forgive me. Tara's condition got worse and she needs higher dosages, and the bank told me the interest of the mortgage increased, and it's all so expensive. If I cannot find a new job soon, we'll be broke. I'd have to sell the house. God, Astarion, I'm so sorry."
The addressed held his partner close, shushing him, while rubbing his back gently.
"It's okay, love. Everything's going to be okay," he tried to reassure him.
"How do you know?" Gale sobbed. "You cannot know if it'll be alright. Everything I touch, goes down the drain eventually."
"Stop it!" scoffed Astarion. "None of that unhelpful self-talk. We will get through this. Together. You and me. Partners in crime." He cradled Gale's face in his hands and looked at him, determination clear on his sharp features. "I'm nothing like that bitch. I won't walk away and leave you behind as soon as things get rough. I love you, Gale, and will stay by your side no matter what." He kissed the brunet gently. "I'd do anything for you, my love. Even kill."
At that, the addressed barked a watery laugh.
"I love you too," he sniffed. "I just hate feeling so useless and like I'm failing you."
"You're not," Astarion told him sternly. "You're wonderful, perfect in your imperfection." He kissed him again. "Now, let's eat something. You skipped dinner, didn't you?"
Caught, Gale lowered his gaze, mumbling: "I wasn't hungry."
Astarion looked pained, but tried his damn best to conceal it behind a poker face.
"Come on, love. Let's have some food."
Together, they moved downstairs to the kitchen and Astarion rummaged through the fridge for leftovers. He wasn't the best cook, but still perfectly capable of whipping up something tasty. With Gale's help, he threw together a weird version of fried rice, using leftover deer cutlet, various already cooked vegetables, the rest of a tomato sauce, eggs, and the name-giving leftover rice. It was an abomination in terms of authentic and haute cuisine, but it tasted fucking delicious. The couple sat down and devoured the entire pan of food. Afterwards, Astarion and Gale got ready for bed and fell asleep spooning.
The next day, Gale was still uneasy and anxious, but felt better. He distracted himself from negative self-talk by doing house chores.
When Astarion was back from work at 2 a.m., he was greeted by a spotless home and freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies. He knew his fiancé well enough to know what had happened, but he decided not to comment about it. Instead, Astarion kissed Gale deeply.
"I have a plan," he announced and proudly emptied a shopping bag onto the kitchen table. Confused, Gale blinked at the two black fleece jackets, the gloves, and two black, rib-knit three-hole balaclavas.
"I fear I don't follow. What's all this for?"
Astarion shot him a dangerous grin and replied: "We'll rob the vet."
"What?"
"You heard me, love. We'll drive downtown, break into the veterinary clinic, and steal all the medication and cat food we can."
Gale stared at him, shocked and slightly paler than usual.
"Are you insane?" he got out.
"Probably," answered his fiancé with a nervous giggle.
"We can't just - just steal things, Astarion! That's illegal!"
"Really? I had no idea," teased the addressed with a shit-eating grin on his face.
"I -" Gale was lost for words, rubbing his temples. "Astarion..."
"Come on, love. It'll be fun," the blond interrupted him. "I did my research and there are no cameras inside or outside the building. Plus, there's a back door that we can use. There's not much risk involved and I can't stand how those sad cow eyes look on you."
Gale balked and huffed disgruntledly: "I don't have sad cow eyes!"
"You do," Astarion retorted matter-of-factly. "Now, get dressed and let's rob the place."
"That's... we can't -" Gale sighed deeply. "We'll get in trouble. This is an insanely stupid thing to do. We're not some low lives. It's not right."
"The only thing that isn't right is that you have to pay an arm and a leg for Tara's medication," Astarion told him. "They squeeze you dry. In the not sexy way."
Gale snorted a laugh and his partner's face softened. As the latter wrapped his arms around Gale's neck, he said: "Just think of it as a spontaneous date. A brush with danger can spice things up."
The brunet groaned, burying his face in the crook of Astarion's neck.
"You're an awful influence on me."
"And you'll thank me for it."
They were doing it. They were really doing it. Anxiously, Gale tapped against the steering wheel, leg bouncing, as he watched Astarion adjust the balaclava. Then, the latter turned, shooting him a smile.
"Ready?"
"No."
Astarion laughed gleefully.
"Off we go then."
They left the car which they'd parked a few streets away for safety. With their ski masks and matching fleece jackets on and backpacks over their shoulders, they approached the Open Hand Pet Sanctuary. It was snowing wildly, the glittery white flakes danced in the light of the street lamps and were covering the city rather quickly. It was around three in the morning and this part of Baldur's Gate was asleep. Astarion and Gale walked into the narrow, dark alleyway and climbed over the fence. While the blond showed a feline grace, the brunet huffed and puffed while struggling to climb over the fence. Snickering, Astarion kneeled down before the door and pulled out a picklock.
"Do you really know how to use that?" Gale asked curiously.
"Mhm," mumbled Astarion, jamming the thin metals into the lock. "Perks of spending your teens in shitty foster families, I suppose."
Gale's heart sunk.
"I'm sorry you had to go through that."
"That's life, I guess," replied his partner, shrugging nonchalantly. He gave a little triumphant "hah!" as the door clicked and opened. Astarion got up and hissed with a wince. Gale shot him a concerned look.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing to worry about," Astarion played down the issue. "It's just my back. It hurts a little."
"Why? Since when?"
Averting his gaze, Astarion mumbled: "Since yesterday morning. It's just the cold weather, love. No need to worry."
"I always worry about you," Gale sighed. "We don't have to do this. Let's go home and I'll run you a hot bath and give you a massage."
"That's tempting, but we have more pressing issues right now," his fiancé retorted. "Come on, let's get it over with."
Gale nodded and they stepped inside. It was pitch-black in the clinic, the only light sources were the street lamps outside. The couple switched on their small flashlights and got a move on. In the entrance area behind the counter, the various pet foods were arranged. Astarion whistled when he saw the price tags.
"Bloody hell, that's some gourmet shit! Almost more expensive than our own food."
Gale hummed non-committally as he glanced around, slightly paranoid. Astarion grabbed two plastic bags from behind the counter and started to stuff them with the cat kibble Tara needed.
"How about some help, love," he teased.
"Of course. Apologies."
Gale hurried over to help his literal partner in crime. When they'd filled four bags, Astarion dragged Gale over to the huge, humming fridge and pushed the door open. Sickly white light spread out, illuminating a small patch of the floor in front of it and revealing dozens of packages of different types of medication inside.
"Ta-da! Merry Christmas," grinned Astarion and Gale had to chuckle a bit. Quickly, the brunet walked over to relieve the fridge of all the Vetsulin, shoving it all into their backpacks. Meanwhile, his partner sauntered over to the shelves, reading all the labels.
"Hmm, some liquid painkiller for senior animals, especially those with arthritis, rheumatism, and back pain. Maybe, that works on people too," Astarion mused. He opened the package to read the instructions. "16 millilitres for big dogs and 32 millilitres for horses. I guess I'm the golden middle, eh?" He took out the pipette, unscrewed the vial and draw some of the milky-white liquid out. "Here goes nothing."
Gale's head shot up.
"Don't -"
But Astarion had already leaned his head back and squirted the liquid into his mouth.
"Ugh! Fuck, that's bitter!"
He coughed and shook himself before rinsing his mouth by the sink.
"Told you," snickered Gale.
"Shut it, love," huffed Astarion half-heartedly, and walked down the corridor to see if any doors were unlocked. As it turned out, they all were. Curiously, the blond peeked into every room, and when he’d reached the last one, he stepped in to squint at a cabinet filled with different medications. Carefully, he opened the glass door and started picking up each bottle and cardboard box. Most of the writing could just as easily have been gibberish. The complicated technical terms made his eyes hurt.
“Astarion,” whispered Gale anxiously as he entered the room. “We have everything, let’s go home.”
“Mh,” mumbled the addressed, still reading a label. Then, he pocketed multiple of the bottles.
“This is pentobarbitone for animal euthanasia,” Astarion explained lowly. “Maybe, we can use it if Tara’s health declines so that she can die peacefully at home instead of in a sterile room like this.” After a pause, he added: “I’d like that, you know? Dying at home. In your arms.”
Gale swallowed thickly, feeling the tale-tell pressure of tears behind his eyeballs. He didn’t want to think about the death of his two favourite beings. He’d already lost his mother. Seemingly sensing that he’d hit a nerve, Astarion turned towards his partner and joked: “Or, we can use it to get revenge on Mystra. It works on humans too.”
That made Gale snort a laugh, and he pulled the blond into a hug. The latter went easily despite his surprise. The couple dwelled like this for a moment, then, Astarion pulled back and sauntered towards the metal examining table in the middle of the room. Playing coy, he glanced over his shoulder and purred: “It’s time for my appointment. Won’t you vet me, doctor? I was a naughty pup, you know? Had my ways with many men, like a good bitch."
Smirking, Astarion hopped onto the cold metal and Gale frowned.
"What are y-"
The rest of the sentence got stuck in his throat when Astarion shook off his trousers, boxers, and boots, spreading his legs wide with a coquettish expression.
"Oh, doctor! I need an ultrasound!" he wailed, dramatically reclining on the examining table with a hand against his forehead. Gale's lips quirked into a smirk and he replied: "I am a doctor - of literature."
Astarion rolled his eyes with an inelegant snort.
"Killjoy."
With a hum, the addressed let the beam of his flashlight wander through the room. Then, he stepped to the left, rolled a machine over, and flip a switch which resulted the machine to hum and the lamp that was fixed to it to turn on. Astarion squinted at the light that painted the examining table in cold, white brightness. When his eyes had adjusted to it, he witness how Gale put on a pair of latex gloves, shoving his own into his jacket pocket. The brunet turned around, cocking his head to the side and said: "Well then, let's see how you're doing."
Gale squirted some lube from the tray table onto his gloved fingers and slowly pushed them into Astarion's ass. The latter grunted and shifted slightly to adjust his position. Gale immediately stopped and looked at him with concern.
"Did I hurt you?"
"No. Keep going."
"What about your back? We can -"
"I'm fine, love. Go on. Please."
With a nod, Gale continued scissoring his partner open, slowly and thoroughly. Astarion groaned impatiently, trying to spur Gale on, but the latter kept his leisurely pace.
"I cannot feel anything," the brunet told him. "I guess you're right and you need an ultrasound."
With that, he withdrew his fingers, grabbed the endocavitary probe, covered it in lube, and slowly shoved it up Astarion's ass. The latter threw his head back with a gasped moan.
"Fuck, Gale!"
"Do you want me to stop?"
"N-no..."
Closing his eyes and biting his lip, Astarion tried to focus on the feeling of the ultrasound stick sliding over his prostate, but his fiancé had other plans.
"Open your eyes and look."
The addressed obeyed and was faced with the monitor of the machine, a live stream of the ultrasound in his ass flickering across the screen in black, white, and all shades of grey. It was incredibly weird and slightly embarrassing, but Astarion couldn't look away. Meanwhile, Gale casually rambled on.
"Here we can the uterus and over here are the ovaries. It seems like your little sexcapades didn't lead to a pregnancy."
"What a shame," snickered the blond. The brunet shot him an undefined look before setting the ultrasound stick aside.
"In that case, more drastic measures must be taken to ensure the fertilisation of your eggs. We'll offer our best stallion to breed a bitch in heat like you."
Astarion's eyes went wide and his breath hitched. Gale immediately looked apologetic and asked: "Was that too much? I knew it's stupid idea."
"No!" the blond blurted out without thinking. "Keep going. I want to hear what you came up with."
A blush of embarrassment and an amused smirk bloomed on Gale's face.
"Okay," he muttered, more to himself than anyone else. "Okay." He cleared his throat and threw away the latex gloves before wrapping his hands around Astarion's thighs to pull him closer and towards the end of the examining table.
"Our recommended stallion has a one hundred percent success rate regarding impregnation. He'll breed you and fill you with pups."
Astarion whimpered. Why was this hot? He wasn't into this type of dirty talk, but somehow it worked on him? Maybe it was the added thrill of danger. Or simply just because it was Gale. Probably the latter.
The brunet unzipped his pants and took out his half-hard cock, stroking it to full hardness with the help of some extra lube. Then, Gale leaned forward, slightly over Astarion, with his hands on the latter's knees, and whispered: "Ready?"
All the blond could do was nod and moan when his partner entered him in one slow motion.
"You feel perfect around me," Gale told him. "Warm, soft, and wet. Perfect to take my pups."
He set a rather fast pace, bottoming out each time and hitting his partner's prostate, making Astarion moan and whine.
"Good, bitch. You take me so well," Gale praised. "I'm going to pump you so full with my cum, you have no other choice but be knocked up with my pups."
"Fuck, Gale..." groaned Astarion. He was already close and attempted to jerk himself off, but Gale stopped him.
"If you can stave off your orgasm, I'll let you come in any of my orifice," he promised.
"Oh, God..." whined the addressed, gripping the base of his dick to keep from climaxing. Gale glanced up at him, asking: "Do you want to stop?"
"Don't you fucking dare!" panted Astarion, rolling his hips upwards. With a cocky grin, his partner pulled him impossibly closer, fucking into him hard and sloppily.
"Take my pups," Gale panted and came with an inelegant grunt. Astarion gasped and trembled through it, teetering on the edge of his own climax as Gale emptied himself into his ass. Cum was leaking out of him soon, trickling out around Gale's cock which was still lodged deep inside Astarion. The latter shuddered in the most pleasant way. Gale pulled out slowly and pushed his spent back inside the puffy hole. The blond whimpered, squirming, rattling the metal table. Gale smiled at him; half cocky, half softly.
"Do you want to come in my mouth or ass?"
"Mouth. Oh, please, love. Your wonderful mouth."
Astarion knew he was begging, but other than his previous lovers, Gale wouldn't deny him anything. The latter smiled - it looked a bit silly with the ski mask on - and bent down to suck Astarion off. The latter moaned and bucked up, his feet desperately searching for support on the flat, cold surface of the examining table. Without stopping what he was doing, Gale grabbed Astarion's legs and propped them up on the tabletop, allowing his partner to thrust upwards more efficiently. The latter's hands scrabbled for purchase futilely. Gale popped off of his dick with a gasp and took Astarion's hands to place them on his head.
"Take what you need," he told him softly. "Don't hold back. Use me however you please and come for me, sweetheart."
Astarion cried out as Gale put his mouth on him again. Sweetheart. No one had ever called him sweet before. Astarion pushed his partner's head down while he face-fucked him, cock speeding in and out of that relaxed throat, crying out a litany of blissful moans. Sweat was beading down his covered face, his clothes stuck to his skin uncomfortably, his gut tightened. He felt like he was going insane. Astarion's eyes fell shut and his head back, as he arched off the examining table and exploded into that talented mouth. Gasping for breath and dizzy, he slumped down, legs feeling like jelly. His back no longer twinged. Gale panted against his sharp hipbone before straightening up and tucking himself back into his pants. Astarion simply watched through hooded eyes, brain still offline.
"We should go before we get caught," the brunet remarked, slinging the backpack over his shoulder.
"Right," mumbled the blond, but didn't move an inch. Gale looked at him worriedly.
"Astarion, come on."
"Mmh..."
"Do you need help?"
"Mhm."
He aided Astarion onto his wobbly legs, hastily dressed him and laced-up his boots before shoving him through the door. They grabbed the bags with cat food in the entrance area. Astarion giggled stupidly, stumbling back towards the rear exit, completely fucked-out. They climbed back over the fence and hurried along the streets until they'd reached the car. Gale sighed a breath of relief as they left the Open Hand Pet Sanctuary far behind. Back home, they basically fell through the door, adrenaline finally wearing off. While Gale stowed away the stolen insulin in the fridge, Astarion smooched a purring Tara.
"The things we do for you, darling. Be grateful that we love you so much and are positively insane," smiled Astarion before setting her down. "By the way, those pain meds work like a charm. My back doesn't feel uncomfortable anymore."
"I'm glad," smiled Gale. With a snicker, he added: "Let's hope that the amount we stole will last you for multiple years. Also, I think we need a bigger fridge."
Astarion laughed, pulled his partner into a ravenous kiss, and they tumbled into bed.
"Say it again, love," Astarion panted against his fiancé's lips.
"Hm, what?" Gale asked slightly confused.
"The word you said before letting me fuck your face."
Gale blushed and smiled simultaneously. He held Astarion tight, placed a kiss on those sinful lips, and said: "Sweetheart."
"Again," whispered his partner, choked up.
"Sweetheart. My sweetheart. I love you."

Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics: Science for Better Health
Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics is a specialized field that uses nutrition to manage and prevent disease, improve health outcomes, and promote overall well-being. Here’s a deep dive into the essential aspects of this field:
Tumblr media
What is Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics?
Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating nutrition-related health issues. Dietitians and clinical nutritionists work closely with patients to develop dietary plans tailored to their medical conditions, lifestyle, and specific health goals.
Key Areas of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics
Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT): MNT is the cornerstone of clinical dietetics, involving specialized dietary interventions based on scientific evidence. It’s used to treat chronic illnesses like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and kidney disease.
Nutritional Assessment: This includes evaluating a patient’s diet, medical history, physical health, and lab results to create personalized nutrition plans. Tools include BMI, body composition analysis, dietary history, and blood tests to assess nutrient levels.
Therapeutic Diets: Dietitians often develop therapeutic diets to manage health conditions, which can include:
Low-sodium diets for hypertension and heart health.
Low-glycemic diets for managing diabetes.
High-protein diets for malnutrition and muscle recovery.
Renal Diets for kidney disease patients to reduce the intake of specific nutrients.
Pediatric and Geriatric Nutrition: Clinical dietitians specialize in creating age-appropriate nutritional plans for children and elderly patients, addressing issues like growth, development, bone health, and cognitive function.
Mental Health and Nutrition: Dietitians are increasingly focusing on the connection between nutrition and mental health, as certain nutrients (e.g., omega-3s, and B vitamins) can impact mood and cognitive function.
Emerging Areas in Clinical Nutrition
Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals: Functional foods (like probiotics) and nutraceuticals (such as dietary supplements) are increasingly used in clinical nutrition to support specific health outcomes, such as immune function or gut health.
Personalized Nutrition and Genomics: Nutrigenomics studies how genes influence individual responses to nutrients, leading to personalized nutrition plans based on a patient’s genetic makeup. This method works especially well for treating chronic illnesses.
Integrative and Holistic Nutrition: Integrative nutrition considers lifestyle factors, stress, and mental health along with diet, promoting a more holistic approach to patient care.
Plant-Based Diets: The use of plant-based diets in clinical settings is becoming popular for their benefits in reducing inflammation, improving heart health, and supporting weight management.
Role of Clinical Dietitians in Healthcare Settings
Hospitals: Clinical dietitians are essential in hospitals, where they design dietary plans for patients recovering from surgeries, dealing with chronic illnesses, or undergoing treatment that affects their nutritional status.
Outpatient Clinics: Many dietitians work in clinics, providing ongoing support for patients with chronic conditions like diabetes or high cholesterol.
Rehabilitation Centers: Nutritionists here help patients with recovery, focusing on high-calorie or high-protein diets to promote healing.
Skills for Clinical Dietitians
Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of biochemistry and physiology to interpret lab data and develop dietary plans. Counseling and Communication: The ability to communicate effectively with patients to promote adherence to dietary plans.
Evidence-Based Practice: Staying updated with the latest research to provide science-backed advice. Career Opportunities
Clinical dietitian: employed by long-term care homes, clinics, or hospitals.
Nutrition Researcher: Contributing to research on disease prevention and dietary interventions.

Tumblr media
Veganism has gained significant traction in recent years, and for good reason. It's not just a passing trend; it's a movement that aligns with our desire for a healthier, more sustainable planet. By adopting a plant-based lifestyle, individuals contribute to their own well-being while making a positive impact on the world around them. The power of plant-based living is becoming increasingly evident as veganism is not just a dietary choice, it's a lifestyle that encompasses compassion, health, and environmental consciousness. Discover the principles of veganism, the health benefits of a plant-based diet, its environmental impact, ethical considerations, tips for transitioning to a vegan lifestyle, and addressing common concerns.
Tumblr media
What is Veganism? At its core, veganism is a philosophy that seeks to exclude all forms of animal exploitation and cruelty, whether in diet, clothing, or any other aspect of life. It's an ethical stance that promotes compassion towards all sentient beings and recognizes the interconnectedness of humans, animals, and the environment. Health Benefits of a Plant-Based Diet Embracing a plant-based diet can have profound effects on our well-being, and there are significant health benefits: Nutritional Advantages: Plant-based diets are rich in vitamins, minerals, and fiber, providing essential nutrients for optimal health. Disease Prevention: Studies have shown that plant-based diets can reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer. Weight Management: A plant-based diet, when balanced and varied, can support healthy weight loss and weight management.
Tumblr media
Environmental Impact of Veganism The environmental consequences of animal agriculture are staggering. By adopting a vegan lifestyle, we can significantly reduce our ecological footprint.  Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Animal agriculture is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. By eliminating animal products from our diet, we can reduce our carbon footprint. Conservation of Resources: Animal agriculture requires vast amounts of land, water, and feed. Shifting to plant-based alternatives allows for more efficient use of resources. Preservation of Wildlife: Animal agriculture is a leading cause of deforestation and habitat destruction. Choosing plant-based options helps protect biodiversity and wildlife habitats. Ethical Considerations Ethics is at the core of veganism. By adopting a vegan lifestyle, we actively express our compassion for animals and advocate for their rights. Veganism encourages the use of cruelty-free alternatives and challenges societal norms regarding the treatment of animals. Tips for Transitioning to a Vegan Lifestyle Transitioning to a vegan lifestyle can be a gradual process. Here are some tips to help you navigate the journey: Gradual Changes and Substitutions: Start by incorporating more plant-based foods into your diet and gradually eliminate animal products. Meal Planning and Grocery Shopping: Plan your meals in advance and explore the abundance of vegan options available. Stock your pantry with wholesome plant-based ingredients. Seek Support and Community: Connect with like-minded individuals, join vegan groups, and seek support from friends and family who understand and respect your choices. Addressing Common Concerns Transitioning to a vegan lifestyle often comes with questions and concerns. Weight Loss, Dieting, Medical Shit Goin' On
At the request of @meethisharma , I'm making a big post of like. EVERYTHING I've learned so far since truly trying to lose weight and do better since February of this year. I'm of course going to go into my background as to why I need to lose weight and my life as an obese person, different references I've used to help with my weight loss, dietary changes, THE WHOLE SHEBANG.
So uh. Buckle up, it's a LONG post.
(Also, shout out to Jordan Shrinks over on YouTube, I've followed this woman for years and she is still the biggest inspiration and my favorite fucking person who has helped me shape my routine for weight loss.)
Why did I start trying to lose weight?
I have been obese pretty much my whole life. In high school, I weighed 260-270 lbs. Both of my parents struggled with drug addiction, and that meant that we ate a lot of unhealthy, over processed food as it was the cheapest. I also rarely, if ever, drank water growing up; we mostly had soda in the house, and that's what I drank.
Last year, in May of 2022, I weighed 330 lbs. This was after I had already lost an unknown amount of weight, as I put on a LOT working at McD's given the food was free and I was broke most of the time. This was still not enough for me to start losing weight, but I did start packing my own lunches and at least started eating better. In September, I started my first hotel job, and with the better work and pay, I was finally able to afford insurance for 2023 and start going to doctors like I needed to. I've always had a LOT of chronic issues, but none were ever diagnosed as I really didn't go to the doctor much unless it was an absolute dire emergency.
Timeskip to the first week or two of February, 2023, and I finally get in to see a nurse practioner who will lead me to find my current primary care doctor. I weighed 312 lbs, and she was very... well, blatantly, she didn't even give me the time of day LMAO. She didn't even bother to tell me I was pre-diabetic, I had to find that out from looking at my lab results myself.
Week 3 of February, I get in with the guy who's now my primary care doctor. He's also fat, like I am, and he was also far more direct with me about my situation. As it turned out, I was in like stage 3 hypertension (my blood pressure was 150 smth over 140), I was almost 90% deficient in vitamin D (y'know, the shit that makes your bones HARD), my iron saturation in my blood was in single digits (aka severely anemic, borderline needed a blood transfusion), I was well into my way to being a Type-2 Diabetic (my A1C was 5.8, you need to be 6.4 to be diagnosed), AND... my liver was struggling really, really badly. Side note, he's also a mental health professional, and he's the one who originally diagnosed my severe PTSD and got me in with my therapist.
NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WAS NOT IN THE BEST CONDITION. I was actually well on my way to developing early heart disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, blood clots, like everything I was the MOST afraid of was what I was about to have. Because I wasn't taking care of myself, I was living off of ramen and fast food and processed as shit food all the time, TV dinners... I'd make a meal out of a family-sized bag of chips or a whole roll of crackers and several slices of cheese.
My doctor was very point fucking blank about my outcomes. I could've died if I did nothing. A really horrible way to die, too. He told me that if I wanted to make changes, he'd get me every resource possible he could to help me, but I had to want the changes if they were gonna stick. Keep that in mind, right? YOU have to want the changes needed.
And that's when everything started.
THE GAME PLAN
SO, what did I do to start losing weight? What changes did I make?
Everything. FUCKING everything. My doctor said I needed a low-as-possible sodium diet, so I changed it. I needed to start exercising, so I did. I needed meds and to get into therapy to help deal with my mental health, so I religiously take my meds and I go to therapy as many times as possible each month. He also wanted me to get a daytime job, as my overnights were likely making things worse, and I finally got that done now, too.
A big thing to add here, too: my doctor has not talked to me about BMI. The only thing he has asked me to do is get to 200 lbs. He says so long as I don't drop under 120, he's said it's fine whatever weight I stop on, so long as I get to 200.
But where did I begin? The SIMPLE shit.
I started with ten minute walks. That's it for exercising, I started with TEN MINUTE WALKS. And you know what? It was fucking hard. It still is. It's like pulling teeth sometimes to get me to get up and go take a 30 minute to an hour walk. But don't let these fucking fitness influencers bully you into thinking that if you can't handle pumping iron in the gym for 6 hours straight then you're always gonna be a fat slob or whatever those fuckheads say these days. And, if you don't like walking, if you'd rather lift weights, you can do that too! If you don't want to go to a gym like I don't, order some cheap ones off of Amazon or Walmart. Go cycling or swimming or jumping rope. You don't have to go big and hard into exercise to be healthier. Start small.
Now, diet-wise, I threw myself in it a little too vigorously and I also paid the price of wasting like $50 each payday in shit I didn't eat or still haven't, and I also fucked up my GI tract for a solid month. I was ROUGHING it. Raw-dogged the low sodium diet and it did it back double time, do NOT do what I did. There's gonna be a WHOLE section after this one on dietary shit. Big thing, though? MEAL PLANNING. I don't care if you only meal plan one meal of the day, I only do my damn dinners. Just take time on your day off to batch cook a bunch of shit to be able to eat for one meal throughout the week.
MAKE GOALS. I don't care if the goals you set seem shallow to you or not, make some fucking goals. Keep them on a list you can easily find, especially like on your phone. HELL, keep the list in SEVERAL ways, like a paper on your wall. I have another section planned for like examples and my own goals on down.
EXERCISE
AGAIN, start small. Don't go hog wild and try to do an hour a day at the gym to start; that's gonna burn you out and wear you down before you even get started. Also, you don't need a gym to exercise. If you never wanna step foot in a gym, you NEVER have to.
Start with a five to ten minute walk every other day. You don't like walking? Cool, get some cheap weights (or a kettlebell weight) and lift weights for 5-10 minutes. I just recently got a 5lb kettlebell on Amazon for like $8.55 after tax so I can start doing weighted exercises. (NOTE: don't start with big heavy weights. You'll fuck up your muscles and joints. You'll want to research what weight to start with first.)
I think it wassss two weeks of me walking for ten minutes every other day before I moved to 15 minutes? Now, in May, I can go for an hour at a leisurely pace.
My Routine:
45 minute-hour walk at LEAST 4 days a week.
One day of 30 minute power walking or walking-jogging intervals. I walk along the street I live on, and I do 1/3 of the way jogging, the rest walking.
At LEAST one day using resistance band exercises. Resistance bands are like $10 at Walmart, I recommend using a light one to start WHILE AT YOUR HEAVIEST WEIGHT. Resistance bands work by using your own body weight as the resistance, so it's best to start while you're still at the heaviest.
Hoping to work the kettlebell in on at least three days of the week, doing weighted HIIT exercises (high intensity training).
DIETARY CHANGES
The BIGGEST piece of advice I can give you is to make sustainable changes. The reason diet culture doesn't work is because you can't survive off of diet food for a long period of time, meaning you'll just regain the weight back once you return to a normal diet. Also, carbs are not bad for you. Unless a doctor specifically tells you to lower carb intake, PLEASE do not just suddenly decide to stop eating carbs as you can permanently damage your major internal organs.
Now, I am not on a diet, persay. The changes I've made I plan to keep for the rest of my life. Now, I can only tell you what I do, and not what you should do. I have some formal training in nutrition, and I can give you advice on what not to do, but again, I can mostly tell you what works for me.
NOW THAT THAT'S OUT OF THE WAY, HERE WE GO! I am on a low-sodium diet, meaning I do not add salt to shit. I use Accent, a shit ton of seasoning and spices, and I get my canned food no salt added when I can. I also mainly only eat turkey and chicken (mostly chicken), while beef and pork are like... a treat every once in a while. I also get low sodium canned tuna or like... actually good fish sticks. And, as I live on the Gulf Coast, I get fresh shrimp once or twice a month. I also do NOT add sugar to something unless it's a recipe for like bread to feed the yeast. I get canned fruit in 100% juice, or I get it frozen mostly. If I want to add something to make it sweet, I dump fruit in it. I've also recently been adding like... one packet of splenda ALONG WITH FRUIT to my oatmeal. Tastes p good, do not recommend splenda in coffee. Shit's nasty.
I am also a calorie counter and believer. The easiest way to think of calories is like... energy. One calorie is one unit of energy. I HIGHLY recommend using a couple of calorie calculators to help figure out your daily intake, and I use the My Fitness Pal app to keep track of what I eat, especially as I am prone to boredom eating and binge eating, as I do still struggle with disordered eating. I also keep an eye on my macros (protein, carbs, fats), as well as my cholesterol, sodium, and saturated fat levels.
So, what does Cy do for food? A lot but also... not very much, lol. I am a convenience bitch. I ain't here to cook several times a day and shit, I ain't got time for it. I be makin' shit as easy as possible.
I do often drink protein shakes before or after I walk or have an intense workout. You don't have to, just keep in mind you DO need high protein intake before or after working out, to help your muscles repair themselves. I get the cheap af Purely Inspired brand at Walmart, mix it with frozen fruit and milk in my blender.
PLEASE, GOD, DRINK WATER! Drink plenty of frickin water. Your body has to be hydrated and the more water you drink, the less water your body retains as extra. A bit weird, I know, but take it from me as I carry about 10-12 lbs of water weight a day, and it was a LOT more when I wasn't hydrating properly.
I meal prep one meal a week. It's dinner now, so I take a day I'm off, make a big batch of smth, and separate it into like 5-7 containers, freezing some and fridgerating the others. I post recipes and total costs over on @cylentlycrafting , and I get those cheap ass Mainstays meal prep containers. It's like $5 for 5 of em, and I have like... 3-4 sets.
The main meat I eat now is chicken, as it has the highest amount of protein across all meats. I also pretty much exclusively eat whole grain foods (brown rice, whole wheat bread, whole wheat or brown rice or quinoa pasta), and I keep instant brown rice and instant oats on hand. Listen, I'm an impatient ass mfer, I don't have 45 mins to cook some goddamn rice.
I also luv eggies. And cheese. And dairy. Though I typically get reduced fat dairy products, except milk. Reduced fat sour cream, reduced fat cheese, sometimes reduced fat yogurt, but I take any yogurt I can get my hands on.
I use a LOT of canned beans, peas, chickpeas, and tomatoes. I also get frozen broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, red potatoes, and carrots as far as veggies go. I also often get chopped romaine lettuce, carrot chips, grape tomatoes, and onions. That is the beginning and the end to the veggies I eat, and best be fucking sure I put red kidney beans and chickpeas in everything almost it. Broccoli, too. Tomatoes.
Fruit wise, I have a LOT of fruit cups and canned fruit in 100% fruit juice, frozen fruit, and I also have a thing for clementines lately. Been eating tf out of them.
Snackies wise, I usually get that big box of baked chips from Lays. Peanut butter and graham crackers. Dark chocolate. Power Crunch protein bars because PROTEIN BARS DON'T HAVE TO BE DISGUSTING!!!!!
I pretty much exclusively use olive oil, but canola oil is also pretty damn good if you're on a budget! Just avoid regular butter, that shit's got so much calories and fat in it.....
Listen, you don't have to go broke buying shit. I tend to allot more money to food than most people because I have a LOT of food issues, and because I commit hard to shit. I have olive oil mayo and butter replacements, I keep low sugar and low sodium ketchup, and I buy expensive ass Lucini tomato sauce. You don't have to. Like I also buy tater tots and off-brand coco puffs and mini wheats.
I have experimented with a LOT of brands in the past few months, which I will probably make another post about eventually? Maybe? Also more budget-friendly shopping hacks and shit given I be trying to save as much money as possible.
GOALS
Listen, like every big project, you need goals. Getting your body healthy is a big project, and you should make goals. Goals on why you want to get healthy, goals on why to keep going even when shit gets hard. I don't care if it's the most vain shit ever, if it's a goal it's a fucking goal.
Here are some of mine:
More clothing options. If I lose more weight, I will be able to fit into smaller sizes and have more choices on what to wear.
SELF CONFIDENCE
Feeling less embarrassed when eating out somewhere.
HEALTH. A large part of me always feeling shitty is my diet and lack of proper vitamins and nutrients.
Prediabetes. I don't want to be like my mom and papaw and have to poke myself multiple times a day nor be reliant on insulin.
FINAL THOUGHTS
The main things I can impress upon y'all:
Build sustainable habits. If you don't think you'd be able to do it for the rest of your life, maybe rethink the habit before it becomes too set in stone.
You're gonna fall off the horse sometimes. You're gonna cheat, you're gonna make slip ups. And that's okay. Don't feel guilty, don't overrestrict or punish yourself for it. You're human, and you're trying, and that's okay. You can only do as much as you're able to right here and right now.
It's a hard and long road. Getting healthy and fit isn't going to be a breeze in the park. This shit is hard, especially if you're building new habits from scratch. But you got this. YOU CAN DO IT.
You HAVE to want this for yourself. No one else can want it for you. It has to be on you and you alone.
You're gonna find people wanting to sabotage you, as horrible as it sounds. Sometimes people feel threatened when others attempt to better themselves, because that person or those persons know they wouldn't put the time or energy into doing so themselves. And, unfortunately, some of those people are your close friends and family :/
TRY NEW THINGS. FAIL AND KEEP GOING. I have tried so much shit in the last few months, and some has stuck, some has not. I have learned I do not like a lot of vegetables, and that's okay. I also make taco salad (from 'scratch') at least two to three times a month. What works, works!
You are going to bloat A LOT when you start amping up workouts. Your body holds extra water and nutrients for up to FOUR WEEKS after you start exercising or start a new exercise routine/build up on your existing one. This is to repair your muscles and joints as they grow.
Scales like to lie, and they won't tell you how much water weight you're holding. And yes, you will be able to tell you're bloated. I never knew of bloating until now and sometimes shit fits weird when I'm majorly bloated. It SUCKS
Measure yourself. Your stomach, chest, waist, hips. All of it. Keep it. It'll be amazing to see how much you've changed eventually.
I actually would LOVE to keep making posts like this. But, here's my current progress:
I am a little under 270 lbs, unsure of how much as I am starting and trying new exercises, as well as my new job being HELLA more active than my old one.
I do have more processed stuff in my diet, but i do try to balance it with healthier food, too. Budgeting is.... hard.
My blood pressure tends to run 110/70 now.
I hope this helps someone out there.
My heart rate has gone down from 100+ bpm, to now it's at 60-75 bpm.
I also drink diet soda now, usually one a day.

The Role of Protein-Rich Foods in Semaglutide-Fueled Weight Loss
Semaglutide, a medication originally developed for managing Type 2 diabetes, has gained significant attention for its weight loss benefits. However, to maximize its effectiveness, a supportive diet is essential. Protein-rich foods play a crucial role in enhancing the weight loss effects of Semaglutide, making them an indispensable part of your dietary plan. In this article, we’ll explore why protein matters, how it complements Semaglutide, and highlight the best foods to eat on Semaglutide for sustainable weight loss.
Why Protein Matters for Weight Loss
Tumblr media
Protein is a vital macronutrient that supports multiple bodily functions, especially during weight loss. Its benefits include:
1. Increased Satiety
Protein helps you feel fuller for longer by reducing the hunger hormone ghrelin and increasing appetite-regulating hormones like GLP-1, the same hormone targeted by Semaglutide. Combining protein with Semaglutide enhances feelings of fullness and minimizes overeating.
2. Muscle Preservation
When losing weight, the body can lose muscle mass along with fat. Protein helps preserve lean muscle, ensuring that the majority of weight lost comes from fat. This is crucial for maintaining a healthy metabolism.
3. Boosted Metabolism
Digesting protein requires more energy than digesting fats or carbohydrates, a phenomenon known as the thermic effect of food (TEF). Including protein-rich foods in your Semaglutide-fueled diet can give your metabolism a slight boost.
How Protein-Rich Foods Complement Semaglutide
Semaglutide works by mimicking GLP-1, a hormone that regulates appetite and blood sugar levels. Protein-rich foods enhance this effect by naturally stimulating GLP-1 secretion. This synergy leads to:
Enhanced appetite control
Improved blood sugar stability
Better adherence to calorie-controlled diets
When combined with a high-protein diet, Semaglutide can deliver faster and more sustainable weight loss results.
Best Protein-Rich Foods to Eat on Semaglutide
Tumblr media
To ensure your diet aligns with Semaglutide’s benefits, focus on these protein-rich options:
1. Lean Meats
Chicken Breast: Low in fat and high in protein, chicken breast is an excellent choice for weight loss.
Turkey: Another lean meat option that’s rich in protein and low in calories.
2. Fish and Seafood
Salmon: Packed with protein and omega-3 fatty acids, salmon promotes heart health while keeping you full.
Tuna: A convenient, protein-dense food that’s perfect for quick meals or snacks.
Shrimp: Low-calorie and high in protein, shrimp is an ideal addition to a weight loss diet.
3. Eggs
Eggs are versatile, nutrient-rich, and an affordable source of high-quality protein. They’re perfect for breakfast, snacks, or as a meal component.
4. Dairy Products
Greek Yogurt: High in protein and probiotics, Greek yogurt supports digestion and satiety.
Cottage Cheese: A low-fat, protein-packed dairy option that’s easy to incorporate into meals.
5. Plant-Based Proteins
Legumes: Lentils, chickpeas, and black beans are rich in protein and fiber, making them a filling and nutritious choice.
Tofu and Tempeh: Excellent options for vegetarians and vegans, these soy-based proteins are versatile and nutrient-dense.
Quinoa: A complete protein that’s also gluten-free and rich in fiber.
6. Nuts and Seeds
While calorie-dense, nuts and seeds like almonds, chia seeds, and flaxseeds provide plant-based protein, healthy fats, and fiber. Consume them in moderation.
How to Incorporate Protein-Rich Foods Into Your Diet
Tumblr media
1. Prioritize Protein at Every Meal
Ensure that each meal contains a significant protein source to maintain satiety and support muscle preservation.
2. Snack Smart
Choose protein-rich snacks like boiled eggs, Greek yogurt, or a handful of nuts to curb hunger between meals.
3. Combine Protein With Fiber
Pair protein with fiber-rich foods like vegetables or whole grains to enhance satiety and support digestion.
4. Plan and Prep Meals
Prepping meals with a focus on protein ensures you stay consistent with your dietary goals while on Semaglutide.
Foods to Limit or Avoid
While protein-rich foods are beneficial, it’s essential to avoid processed and high-fat protein sources, such as:
Fried meats
Processed deli meats (e.g., sausages, hot dogs)
Full-fat dairy products
Instead, opt for lean, minimally processed options to maximize weight loss benefits.
Breaking Through Weight Loss Plateaus on Semaglutide
Even with Semaglutide, weight loss plateaus can occur. Increasing protein intake is one strategy to break through a plateau. Other tips include:
Adjusting Calorie Intake: Reassess your calorie needs as your weight decreases.
Increasing Physical Activity: Incorporate resistance training to build muscle and boost metabolism.
Hydration and Sleep: Staying hydrated and getting enough sleep are essential for weight loss success.
Conclusion
Protein-rich foods play a pivotal role in enhancing the weight loss effects of Semaglutide. By prioritizing lean proteins, incorporating plant-based options, and avoiding processed choices, you can maximize the medication’s benefits and achieve sustainable results.
Discover the best foods to eat on Semaglutide and make protein a cornerstone of your dietary plan for a healthier, more successful weight loss journey!

Things purchased for my mom
Sharing this as an idea of what coaching dietary changes without meal plans means. Granted, this is my mom so I know her patterns, so there was less "interviewing" involved.
She has gastroparesis (idiopathic, not diabetes related). She has kidney issues and she's afraid of developing diabetes because we're genetically predisposed. She frequently has low energy days.
I buy some of her groceries. I told her it's stressful for me to buy animal products. She said let's try the vegan options
She also takes care of my cousin's partially blind daughter. She has her own food issues bc my cousin is a terrible parent.
So! Gastroparesis means my mom can have soluble fiber but insoluble upsets her digestion. Quick oats and applesauce are easy fiber sources she can have even on her low energy days. Chia seeds can be added too, for extra fiber and omega-3s (my mother experiences brain fog bc she had sepsis a year ago).
She likes the next milk so I've been buying that and will until it's officially off the shelf (RIP) and I got her a vegan creamer to try bc she normally does fat free half and half.
Nutritional yeast bc it's got a lot of protein by % and is packed full of beneficial nutrients. Also just tastes good.
Orange chicken is for the picky child. :)
I got her Breyer's oat milk ice cream but left it with my groceries so I'll have to bring it by. Also going to bring her a package of impossible burgers, I got a bunch BOGO so I'd rather share them pay full price haha.

Exploring Special Diets: Gluten-Free, Keto, and Other Healthy Eating Plans
As awareness of health and wellness grows, more people are turning to special diets to meet specific health needs, manage conditions, or pursue better lifestyle choices. Popular dietary plans like gluten-free, keto, and other specialized diets are not just trends—they represent meaningful ways to optimize nutrition and address medical concerns. However, cooking for these diets can feel complex, especially for those unfamiliar with the requirements. This article will explore the essentials of cooking for special diets, the benefits of each, and how to create delicious, healthy meals that adhere to these unique dietary guidelines.
The Gluten-Free Diet: Essential for Some, Beneficial for Many
Adhering to a gluten-free diet is essential for the health and well-being of individuals with celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or wheat allergies. Celiac disease is an autoimmune condition in which consuming gluten—a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye—triggers an immune response that damages the lining of the small intestine. Even those without celiac disease but with gluten sensitivity may experience bloating, fatigue, and digestive discomfort when consuming gluten.
Cooking gluten-free meals involves more than just removing gluten from the diet; it requires careful substitutions to maintain taste, texture, and nutrition. Luckily, gluten-free alternatives have become more widely available, including products like gluten-free bread, pasta, and flours made from rice, almonds, or coconut.
A simple way to begin gluten-free cooking is by focusing on naturally gluten-free foods, such as vegetables, fruits, meats, fish, and dairy. For example, grilled chicken with roasted vegetables and quinoa is a naturally gluten-free meal. When baking, gluten-free flour like almond or rice flour can replace traditional wheat flour. However, these flours may require adjustments to liquid ratios in recipes since they behave differently than wheat flour.
Using naturally gluten-free grains such as quinoa, buckwheat, or millet also ensures that you can create satisfying, hearty meals without compromising taste. A significant consideration for gluten-free cooking is preventing cross-contamination, especially in kitchens where gluten-containing foods are also prepared.
The Keto Diet: High-Fat, Low-Carb for Energy and Weight Loss
The ketogenic (keto) diet focuses on high-fat, moderate-protein, and low-carbohydrate intake, designed to force the body into a metabolic state called ketosis. In ketosis, the body burns fat for energy rather than carbohydrates, leading to fat loss and, for many, better overall health markers. Originally developed to treat epilepsy, the keto diet has become a popular choice for weight loss and managing conditions like type 2 diabetes.
The cornerstone of the keto diet is limiting carbs—usually to under 50 grams per day—while consuming plenty of healthy fats like avocado, nuts, seeds, and oils. Protein intake comes from sources like fatty fish, eggs, and meats, and vegetables are chosen from low-carb options such as leafy greens, broccoli, and cauliflower.
Cooking for the keto diet involves finding replacements for traditionally carb-heavy foods, such as bread, pasta, and potatoes. Cauliflower rice, zoodles (zucchini noodles), and lettuce wraps are great low-carb swaps that still provide volume and flavor to meals. For example, a stir-fry made with chicken, cauliflower rice, and low-carb vegetables offers a satisfying, keto-friendly alternative to a typical rice-based dish.
One critical challenge with keto cooking is creating sweet treats without traditional sugars. Fortunately, keto-friendly sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol allow for the creation of low-carb desserts such as cheesecake, fat bombs, or keto-friendly chocolate treats.
Paleo Diet: Back to Basics with Whole Foods
The paleo diet, inspired by the eating habits of our hunter-gatherer ancestors, promotes consuming whole, unprocessed foods while avoiding grains, dairy, and refined sugars. The idea behind this diet is that our bodies are better adapted to the foods available to early humans, and modern processed foods contribute to various health issues, including inflammation, obesity, and chronic diseases.
Paleo cooking focuses on whole foods like meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds. Processed foods, legumes, grains, and dairy are eliminated, making the paleo diet rich in nutrients while also helping reduce the intake of inflammatory ingredients. Cooking paleo meals involves using alternative ingredients such as almond flour, coconut flour, and sweeteners like honey or maple syrup.
For example, a paleo breakfast might consist of scrambled eggs with spinach and avocado, while a dinner could include grilled salmon with roasted sweet potatoes and a side salad. Paleo baking involves using grain-free flour, such as almond or coconut flour, to create treats like muffins, pancakes, or bread.
Vegan and Plant-Based Diets: Focusing on Plants for Health and Sustainability
Vegan and plant-based diets focus on whole, plant-derived foods. Veganism excludes all animal products, including meat, dairy, and eggs. A plant-based diet is more flexible, allowing some animal products but still prioritizing plant foods. These diets are praised for their potential health benefits, such as reducing the risk of heart disease, and their positive environmental impact.
Cooking vegan or plant-based meals requires creativity to replace animal proteins with plant-based alternatives. Staples include legumes (such as beans, lentils, and chickpeas), tofu, tempeh, and whole grains. Nuts, seeds, and oils provide healthy fats, while leafy greens, fruits, and a variety of vegetables ensure a balanced nutrient intake.
One challenge in vegan cooking is ensuring adequate intake of nutrients such as vitamin B12, iron, and protein, which are typically found in animal products. Fortified plant-based milk, nutritional yeast, and a wide variety of legumes and grains can help meet these nutritional needs.
Vegan baking often uses flaxseed or chia seed as egg replacements, while aquafaba (the liquid from a can of chickpeas) can mimic egg whites in recipes. Desserts can be made using ingredients like almond milk, coconut oil, and natural sweeteners to create indulgent treats like vegan brownies or ice cream.
Tips for Cooking Special Diets
Ingredient Substitutions: Finding creative substitutes for restricted ingredients is critical. Almond flour and coconut flour are versatile replacements for wheat flour, and cauliflower can replace rice or potatoes in many dishes.
Meal Prep: Planning and preparing meals ahead of time ensures that healthy, diet-compliant meals are always available. Batch cooking and freezing meals can make adhering to a particular diet more manageable.
Experimenting with Recipes: Don’t be afraid to try new recipes or modify existing ones to fit your dietary needs. Many classic dishes can be adapted using alternative ingredients, ensuring you don’t feel deprived.
Cooking for special diets—whether gluten-free, keto, paleo, or plant-based—may seem challenging at first, but with the right approach, it becomes a rewarding and sustainable way to eat. These diets offer numerous benefits, from managing medical conditions to promoting overall wellness, and with the abundance of available alternatives and resources, following them has never been easier. By embracing dietary changes and finding joy in experimenting with new ingredients, anyone can cook healthy, delicious meals tailored to their unique needs.
