There's something so so special to me about Bruce and Zatanna being childhood best friends. I genuinely just love their friendship so much-- like they probably could have romantic chemistry if you want but honestly I think that their platonic bond is so unbelievably strong and I definitely prefer it that way.

She's the only Justice Leaguer who knew him before his parents died-- hell, she's one of the only people on the face of the planet who knew him before his parents died. There's a piece of Bruce's soul that she knows in a way that honestly I think probably only Alfred does.

He's a logical man; he's suspicious of magic even when he knows it's factually real. He wants so badly to be in control of everything around him, and he just can't be, and that terrifies him.

Zatanna on the other hand is naturally relaxed, free flowing. She sees the universe as something to be in, not take control of. There's so much that their strengths and weaknesses can teach each other. I'm obsessed with them.

Additionally I also think we should throw her into the Batfam more often. Just for fun. She's their cool magical aunt.

Lights sparkled across the grand stage of the Monarch Theater, the crowd roaring with applause as the curtains drew to a close. Zatanna, grinning and slightly breathless from the final illusion, ducked backstage. Not long after, a magically written note floated into your hands:

When you stepped through the door, the scent of roses and candles met you first. She turned, her smile lighting up her whole face. “You came! I was hoping you would.” She set down her wand and walked over, brushing a bit of glitter from your shoulder.

“So? Did I still have it? Or did I make the rabbit disappear too soon?”She laughed gently, eyes searching yours.

“Come on. I want to hear everything… and maybe show you the trick I didn’t do on stage.”

Okay, so Zatanna and Bruce have a bit of a childhood friends thing, yeah? And Zatanna and Constantine got a romantic relationship, yeah?

I want B to randomly appear in the House of Mystery. How did he get there? He's Batman (the HoM was bored and wanted to fuck with Johnny boy). Anyway, he threatens John that if he hurts Zatanna, he'll break him. Which ever Robin that tags along is vaguely more threatening cause that's their Aunt Zatanna they're talking about.
