WHAT IS UP WITH THE HOGWARTS LEGACY FANDOM?????????????

I am so fucking fed up with this fandom & honestly it makes me lose any desire to post anything here anymore.

So many people here look at EVERYTHING as a damn competition and it’s NOT. It should be a place for people to brainrot together, talk about theories, and enjoy seeing what other people draw and write etc. Have I sometimes felt insecure bc I don’t get as many notes as other people?! Yes of course…but I always focus on the connections and the lovely people I’ve met and like talking to bc that’s why I post in the first place. I didn’t spend 4 months posting my fic to 10 kudos and 1 comment with basically no feedback bc I care about popularity😆😆

I’ve never been part of a fandom before this one but honestly everything feels so immature here, especially lately. Is it NORMAL to send hate to people who interpret the characters differently than you?! Or send hate to people who ship something you don’t like???? Is it NORMAL to start a confessions blog that’s for people to vague post about others & give everyone reading it anxiety??? (And NO, it’s not “leveling the playing field” wtf). Is it NORMAL to be so close minded, that you’re always trying to start shit with other people?!!??

It is SO FUCKING EXHAUSTING & honestly I try my hardest to NOT feed into any negativity and I’ve never posted the hate I’ve gotten because quite frankly, it’s ridiculous.

I genuinely love seeing what all of you post and always try to comment when I have the mental energy, because I love having a sense of community and you’re all very talented.

IMAGINE THIS: Lil baby Damian, bored and being not quite old enough to start learning how to use proper weapons (curse these wooden ones, he wants true steel!) is wandering the base. This is not out of the ordinary, he’s the prince after all. What is out of the ordinary is that his shadow, his Akhi, is not here. 

Technically, he should be napping, but he woke up and neither his mother or his brother- who is quiet but gentle and isn’t a good speaker (mother said it was from a head injury)- is there. Which is how he finds his way to the Pit, which he’s not supposed to be at. Or at least not alone. 

But! His mother and Akhi are there! And- and Akhi is screaming and he’s never heard him scream like that, like he’s in agony- His eyes are green- they were blue, had, had Mother placed him in the Waters- 

And then the pool is bubbling- he should be running away, get assistance or something, he’s five, he shouldn’t be running towards it when everything is screaming to flee. But one moment he’s at the doorway, the next he’s clinging to his akhi as something writhes in the Pit, a mighty bellow echoing even as the Shadows take defensive positions. 

The water cascades, laps at their feet, splashes everywhere as a scaled form rises from the depths, wings like a bloodied sunset spreading as fur bursts into flames. Crimson eyes glare down at them all, pupils slits as they bare down at his Akhi. 

The creature- the dragon- dips its head down, its breath warm as it chuffs at his akhi, wings folding as though it is bowing. His akhi is clinging to Mother, shivering, several scars glowing as they fade and a burst of hair burned white. 

Oh.

Something that really sets Wille and Simon apart from other queer ships is that when we say their love language is physical touch, IT REALLY IS PHYSICAL TOUCH. And I’m not speaking of just sex. Over the course of the show, the amount of touching between them is astronomical. And that’s really something rarely seen in queer media. There may be moments here or there, but often times there’s a lack of physical contact unless it’s for “the plot”. Wille and Simon feel like a real couple in the way they’re always physically reaching out for each other.

Having to constantly tell megs not to call you that often, txt you in a certain way, to shut up when you have to talk to your bf and he cant stop trying to make out<33 and the intense look he gives you when you walk innnnnn!!!!!! He is NOT subtle! 💞💞

GODDD I’ve said this before but Megumi is so spoiled and it doesn’t always show, but in times like this is shines so bright… he really couldn’t care less about your bf because he knows there won’t be any consequences for his actions. What’s going to happen?—You’re his best friend, he knows you won’t drop him, your boyfriend can’t beat him up, and all your friends know he’s a better fit for you anyway, so really, what could possibly happen to him? He’s so not subtle about it…. Megumi knows you two are endgame, so it’s not even like he really cares that you date other people, it’s more about how long he’s willing to let it go on… and it’s so much fun to let other guys believe they have a chance with you and then run them off <33 

Okay but him trying to kiss you knowing you’re on the phone with your bf oh my god… it started out innocently as you two watching a movie together, and he slowly creeps in his affection. He’s so cat like in moments like this, testing the water with just a hand on yours, then his head on your shoulder, then his lips on your neck and he was just going to play it off as him being tired but then your boyfriend called and now’s as good a time as any to get rid of him, so he encourages you to pick up the call, let’s see how long it takes that idiot to realize Megumi’s covering your neck in hickies

I personally don’t mind the reveal that Aegon the Conqueror was motivated by dragon dreams about tptwp/war for the dawn; I actually like it quite a lot. Mostly because I like how Aegon’s legacy basically becomes: the unification of the realm and its peoples (a wholly positive thing) AND the iron throne (which has become a symbol of war and destruction). Aegon brought the realm together, but he also created that stupid pointy chair. The irony is that this chair, made of swords from all over the realm thus being a representation of all the different peoples in Aegon’s new kingdom, is meant to be the symbol of peace and unity. But in the current story, it’s become the driving force of disunity. And now hundreds of years later, now that the real threat that Aegon dreamed of has actually arrived, the realm is much too focused on who gets to sit on the silly chair more than anything else. Which imo would fall in quite nicely with GRRM’s deconstruction of prophecy, how people interpret it, and the ripple effects from those actions.

I love the HC that Yona is Aro/Ace and she is 100% for Sidon being with Link cause she is very happy that if she is to be arranged in a marriage, it's one that's perfectly platonic, where Sidon too is happy.

And just Dorephan like... pestering about grandpups... and Yona like "Oh no... I am not pregnant... again... shucks. Damn. This is crazy. Shits crazy. Wow. Did not see that outcome. Insane."

Once the old man kicks the bucket Sidon is totally making it clear he's wed to Link and changing the dumb betrothal laws so Yona doesn't get screwed over either.
