Jacob: Alright, what the fuck is going on? None of this makes any sense. Penny: Someone must be pranking us. Levi: [scoffs] Pretty elaborate prank, Penny.

Robin: I don’t think anyone’s messing with us. Penny: Don’t be stupid, of course they are! Jacob: Yeah, I don’t know-.. I’m tempted to side with Penny.

[Robin regretted his words as various murmurs of agreement echoed around him-.. though Levi remained silent, squinting at his friend] Levi: What do you know that we don’t?

Robin: Nothing! I just-… Levi: Naah, you’re barely ever wrong, it’s impossible to freak you out and you always seem to know what’s going on before everyone else-.. it’s kinda sus.

[Robin’s cheeks flushed as multiple stares and another chorus of agreement assaulted him] Robin: What if we’re supposed to be here-.. what if I’m supposed to be here? Penny: What makes you so special?

Robin: I can feel what you feel-.. what any of you feel, and uh-.. I can read minds too, see people’s memories n’ stuff. Penny: [laughs] Okay, sure-.. can you shoot lasers from your eyes as well?

Aster: Woah, Robin-.. those notes! [Robin nodded fervently, glad that Aster had somehow managed to connect the dots] Robin: I don’t know for sure, but I’m worried Alex might be here too…

Levi: Oh, shit. Penny: Who the fuck is Alex? Jacob: Robin’s pen pal.

Penny: Okay, whatever-.. I’m all for finding your friend if she’s here, but this kinda shit isn’t real. I know we’re all freaked out n’ stuff but mind readers and monsters don’t exist! Tess: Whatever does or doesn’t exist, we need to find a way out…

very intentional on tolkien's part that the silmaril that represents beren and lúthien's determination to be together, the people of sirion's love for each other and their lord, elwing's refusal to allow the people who took everything from her twice to triumph, and eärendil's heartfelt desire to save the inhabitants of beleriand from morgoth is the only silmaril of the three that continues to shine in the sky even during the third age, and continues to provide hope and light and beauty, while the other two are lost to history

a silly shoujo concept with jade where he picks up your notebook after you've left it in class. resourceful eel that he is, he flips through the pages out of curiosity. he's certain he'll just find your notes or doodles you've made out of boredom, but it never hurts to pry just a little. he won't tell a soul if he finds anything embarrassing. certainly not!

to his surprise, he finds a bucket list of sorts, which details all of the things you hope to accomplish by the end of your time at nrc. you're quite methodical about this list. there are academic goals. personal goals. social goals. you've checked some of them off: do well on this year's midterm. commit to an exercise routine. make more friends. etc. etc.

but then he happens upon the romantic goals. things like holding hands, kissing, cuddling, going on dates, sharing meals... he reads through every item on this specific list and finds himself blushing like a lovestruck maiden. it's not because of the nature of this list but, rather, the notes you've made in the margin: possible people to try this with: jade leech?

and his name is the only one you've written! :O is this...an indirect love confession? do you have feelings for him? is now a good time to hopefully try to kindle a deeper bond with you after he's spent so much time pining from the sidelines??????

tl;dr - jade wants to be the one to complete the goals on your romance list, but you're too prideful (and suspicious of him) to admit you'd ever think of him in such a light! that's too embarrassing! too much opportunity to be exploited. and jade's a bit of a shameless coward.

so he decides there's only one solution: he's going to try to court you. the mer way. the human way would be much too obvious, after all. ^^;;;;

Meet Glitchy!Simon (nicknamed Itchy by some friends, hahaha). I got inspired to make a whole AU because of this one little glitchy moment in the finale. I mostly just wanted to play with the aesthetic and it suddenly developed story?? And lore?? And I've been doodling him for over a month now?? I'm a mess LOL...

I've been too shy to post any of my shenanigans for him publicly, but I was really proud of this comic and figured it was a good way to introduce him!

i'm leaving

After over two years in the fandom, I think I'm ready to go.

I've watched this fandom grow and rise to heights that I'm sure a lot of us didn't expect it to, and I've watched it fall the same.

The fandom feel is completely different now. I'm different now. I'm scared to post things. Im scared to interact with people. And it has become clear to me that: I'm not that mentally okay anymore.

I've gotten so much more anxious in these past two years, and man, it is taking its toll.

So I'm taking a step back.

With finals ending and the summer right around the corner, I think it's a pretty good time to try and remove myself. I haven't been posting as much lately, and my hyperfixation is on life support of fic and fanart.

I may be back at a later date, but I'm not quite sure at the moment, but for now, I'm gonna be leaving.

Yk, I hate that adaptations keep making Peter a high schooler, and not just because it means he never evolves, but because the adaptations now also include wider Marvel, whitch usually (thanks to the MCU) is at the modern day stage with legacy characters and new age teen heroes, meaning that Peter is taking up Miles' spot and you can really tell when they put him next to someone like Kamala Khan or Sam Alexander who are Miles' pals. Tho Peter taking Miles' stuff is just a modern issue overall, just look at MCU whitch just stole and re-skinned Miles' personality, characters, story-beats, even the costume to an extent and then made it worse.

🦇HAPPY SPOOKY MONTH EVERYONE!!!!🦇

For the occasion I wanted to share some of my favorite creepy/scary scenes in animation. For the record yes I do know anime has a lot of creepy stuff that tends to be a lot scarier than the stuff we see in western animation since they can get away with a lot more due to western animation being perceived as for young kids. But I think its honestly impressive and worth mentioning when western animation is able to make genuinely creepy scenes within their limitations.

I'm not done with the episode yet but while I screw up my courage I'm gonna tell a fun lil story from my days of Mammalogy class that is. Uh. Relevant.

My professor studied rodents mostly. That's where a lot of money is in the Midwest, learning about rodents so that people can keep them away better. Much of his work revolved around setting out little live traps in different areas and with different kinds of bait, recording what came in, and letting it go afterwards.

Of course lots of things eat mice, so he often had problems with weasels or cats or the like finding the traps before he could get to them and eating the mouse he wanted to research. He had a few workarounds for those.

But this one time, nothing he did seemed to work. Even surrounding them in mesh so small, that if he made it any smaller the mice themselves couldn't get through. Something kept finding a way into the traps and eating his mice.

So all he could do was check the traps more often in the hope that he'd get some data before the trap thief ate it all. One of those days he was on his trap route and he heard a weird sound he didn't recognize immediately.

It was a chipmunk, chucking at him to leave its territory. The reason he hadn't recognized it was because it was muffled in a weird way.

By the leg of a mouse sticking out of its mouth.

So, uh. @quiddie I don't know if you intended this to be realistic but yes chipmunks can and absolutely will be carnivorous given the opportunity.

EDIT: THESE WERE NORMAL, NON-PARASITIC NON-DISEASED NON-LEECH CHIPMUNKS. In MINNESOTA.
