I'm so sick of queer spaces being so heavily anti religion to a comical degree. We always preach intersectionality or to look at nuance but then when religion is brought up it's all black and white "hur dur religion bad, you're bad because religion all religious people are going out in the streets murdering trans people and eating gay babies" like do none of us see the irony here? I'm trans, bi and religious and I've gotten hate for it but since I'm a pagan I get less hate than I've seen trans Christians or Muslims get. Not everyone who is religious is bigoted, not every religious person is the strawman in your head. Religion is not inherently bigoted, most of the time the stuff actual bigoted religious people use as justification for bigotry is mistranslations or blatantly wrong interpretations of religious texts. I'm not trying to convert anyone to any religion I'm just begging other queer folk to stop being hypocrites and to stop harassing other queer people for being religious

I'm not lgbt in the sense of "Jesus would have accepted gay people too." I'm queer in the sense of "if God hates faggots then I'm on the side of Satan."

I know there's a lot of people who feel kinda intimidated or uncomfortable with religious queer people at pride, especially Christians, and that's okay! I understand! but even if it makes you uncomfortable, remember that not all religious people are the same, and you can't judge one person because of things other people have done. but if you aren't comfortable being around queer religious people, just dont go. either that, or just ignore them (obviously unless they're directly interacting with you and not trying to start anything or cause problems) bc like, I have mild religious trauma, so I get it, but if its not directly affecting you, just let them be happy? dont attack them, this should be obvious
sorry for rambling I hope this makes sense
im here for all the religious queer people, and non religious queer people <3
everyone is welcome at pride. except bigots

I am in complete agreement with the Astarion is (and all the other companions are) pan crowd. He is canonically pan and that should not be erased. But every post about it really needs to have at least one comment devaluing his attraction to men and denying the fact that he seems to have a preference for men (which is accurate to the lived experiences of bi/pan people. MANY people have a preference). Also many people need to realize that most people are not upset that you are having Astarion kissing your lady Tav but that most people are upset that many (not all) astarion x f!Tav works completely erase his more feminine mannerisms and stuff him into a tasteless hetero male love interest box which is like djddjjdjd not great and I do not trust it

The pipeline of growing up in a strict homophobic Christian household to raging queer is so common and 100% iconic
Love y'all <3

No desire to convert to catholicism but the desire to kind of pretend that no schisms ever happened.

I have a proposition for a bi-lesbian symbol, and it's the Lilith symbol "⚸". Here's why.
(under the cut)
Tumblr media
my first thought when i saw the symbol of Lilith, was that it's a mix between the double venus ( ⚢ ) and the double crescent ( ☽☾ ) symbol. therefore...
☽☾+⚢ = ⚸ !
i've always known about the tale of Lilith and how she was cast away to flee the garden of eden in many a religious myth, and the reasoning behind her being "turned into a demon".
she is a symbol of rugged feminine strength, self-protection, and assertiveness. in many myths, she "disobeyed" adam (fought back against abuse/sexual assault and would not submit) and was banished from the garden of eden to become a "she-demon".
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i believe that her story feels somewhat similar to how we as bi-lesbians are treated and percieved in our communities and throughout history, measured in worth by our proximity to men, sexualized, fetishized, cast out to make our own spaces, violently hated, threatened, abused, harrassed, demonized, and seen as harmful just by existing and asserting ourselves, even though we aren't "harmful". we're just people asserting our equality like lilith "was".
Tumblr media
this is precisely why i decided that her symbol symbolizes us as bisexual lesbians! i hope people pick up my idea, i put a lot of thought and effort into it :)

I’m still hung up on the fact that the CWs Supernatural couldn’t make Dean bisexual because it’s “too controversial” and then they killed THE Christian God
