Nightmare being so restrained AND a closeted romantic immediately gave me the image of him journaling about you. The journal would be somewhat of a legend/myth among the murder time trio (Killer vehemently insists that he caught a glimpse of Nightmare writing by the fire. Dust thinks he's full of shit) but if someone were to look in it they'd find some very detailed writings of your features, behaviors, thoughts about you... maybe some very literal prose. And if he found that person looking in it there would be no evidence that they (or the journal) ever existed

My Nightmare is, deep down, quite artistic. Whilst Dream has an eye for poetry and the written word, Nightmare has always been fond of form and colour. In another life, unburdened by powers and hatred, I imagine he would've lived a quiet and contented life as a locally successful painter.

Alas... this is not that life. He keeps his passions hidden, even from you. So his journal remains locked away in his room.

His journal is a little black leather-bound book, with uneven pages, so thick it needs a ribbon to remain closed.

It's messy. 90% sketches, most unfinished. Some are lit up with watercolours and some aren't. He sketches everything - landscapes, the interior of his castle, his henchmen, his enemies, memories from his childhood. There's one attempted drawing of what he used to look like before being corrupted, but he's covered that one in so much ink it's impossible to even tell what was underneath.

He's good at drawing. I mean really good. Hundreds of years of practise shows. He writes around the drawings, filling pretty much any gap on the paper, and he has excellent handwriting.

It's the only place where he's utterly honest with himself. He talks about his real feelings, his frustrations and desires... his biggest regrets. He bears his Soul, in that little book, because there's nowhere else he can. Not yet.

Just by reading it, you can tell when he meets you. And when he falls for you. It starts out small - just a profile sketch, a 3/4 view of your head from memory, the usual. But then it just continues. Another 3/4 view, more detailed this time. A closeup of your face. There's more you than words on the page. A day when he was clearly fixated on your neck and shoulders because there's three studies in a row. A whole double spread dedicated to a watercolour of you napping by an evening window.

He reminisces for pages about the lives he would've had with you if things had gone differently. A home? A garden? Children? Would he ever have made a good father?

He also talks in great detail about the strength of his feelings for you, and how he isn't even sure what to do with himself anymore.

No one knows about the journal.

... Except Killer.

Killer saw Nightmare writing in it, once, and decided to go snooping through Nightmare's room while he was out. He found the locked box, and the journal.

He took one look at what was inside - and then closed it again and got the fuck out of there. He still acts like he's searching for it because he knows the severity of what he came across. He will never EVER admit he saw it.

Missions weren't always as exciting as they might seem; bosses were demanding and cruel. The danger was inevitable but you needed to eat so there wasn't much of a choice in finding other work. This would have to do for now but sometimes a girl needs to create her own excitement in life.

Which is exactly what you did when you met the Wolverine.

It was a quick first impression but God, it was one to remember. You were sent to settle a deal with a couple men upstate when a strange man pins you to a wall in the hallway; pressing his hips to the front of your black skirt and a hand over your mouth. He smelled of cigar smoke, wood, and mint. Without hesitation, you sink your teeth into the meat of his flesh until he moves it.

"Who the hell are you..?" You hiss.

"Stay here." He ordered.

The man walks away; metal claws shoot out of his hands as he attacks the businessmen at the table. You had never been so furious. The last thing you needed was for some stranger to come and take your credit. This was your job; not his.

Despite being livid with the stranger, you couldn't help but notice how attractive he was. The man sunk his claws in all their guts; you watched them fall one by one until only the two of you were left in the warehouse. Once you snapped out of his trance, you swiftly reached across the table for the paperwork. His hand lands on top of your latex glove, stopping you.

"I can't let you take that, princess." He says.

"I don't take orders from animals." You put on your best fake smile.

"Really? Because it looks like you did just a couple of minutes ago."

He had you there.

You notice a pair of dog tags dangling against his chest. One of your hands grabs them, pulling him to you. The side shown to you says, Logan while the other says, Wolverine.

Cute name.

Over his shoulders, you saw more men running in. A pleasing smirk spread across your face, leading him to turn around and see what you were smiling at.

"Since you handled that last group so well all by yourself," You swiftly knock him down with a heel to his chest, catching him off guard. "I'll let you take the next ones too, Wolvie."

Just as the men entered, you snatched the paperwork and booked it out the window to return it to your boss.

It had been months and still no run-ins with Wolverine. It was beginning to drive you insane; flashbacks of him pushing you up against the wall with his hand over your mouth replayed in your mind almost every chance it could. Your days were spent sketching pictures of him so you wouldn't forget his face or searching for him.

It felt sickening how much you needed to see him again. Your apartment was decorated with sketches of him. He took up every inch of space in your head. This wasn't like you. Normally, you don't entertain the men you encounter but something about the Wolverine was intoxicating. This wasn't some schoolgirl crush. This was a full-on obsession, and you knew it.

The only thing you could do was make him just as obsessed as you were; making him yours.

It took weeks but you finally managed to create your potion for the Wolverine. Now, all you had to do was find him. You asked around to see who he works for and it didn't take long until the name Charles Xavier appeared. Before you knew it, you were back in your latex apparel and standing on the roof of the mansion. The potion was strapped to your belt as you crawled down the brick walls and into his bedroom window.

Almost everyone was out on a mission that evening except for Logan and a handful of students downstairs. You knew if you came any other day, Xavier would have seen you coming and you couldn't have risked that happening.

It was late, midnight by the time he came upstairs. You sat on his bed, waiting perfectly for him. The second you heard his heavy footsteps, your heart almost pounded out of your chest at the thrill.

When the bedroom door opens you are greeted with the scene of the man of your dreams in a white tank top, blue jeans, and a beer in his hand. Instead of running like you assumed he would, Logan stands still with a smirk on his face.

"Didn't think I would see you again," Logan said. He wasn't moving as fast as you would like him to, so you used your whip to bring him closer until he's knees hit the front of the bed.

"It's simply meant to be, Wolvie."

Quickly, you pull the red potion from your belt and pop the lid open. One hand snakes its way up to his jaw, holding him still while the other moves closer to pour. He stops you by pulling off your lacey black mask, finally revealing all of your pretty face to him.

Logan knew exactly who you were. He had been looking for you too; searching every abandoned warehouse and sketchy alley in town. No one knew your name so he thought it was a lost cause and tried to move on. He should've known that you would show up at some point for him again.

Honestly, Logan thought it was cute that you brought some sort of love potion. Little did you know, you had been haunting his mind ever since that night. He wasted no time in smacking the potion out of your hands; laying you back and inching closer until his lips ghosted over your throat.

"I don't need a damn potion."

this is an ijiraq reskin!!!! or well. they were supposed to be one. their out-of-battle behaviors are pretty different but they work mostly the same in battles

the repulsive sigil is there because the ijiraq has it! but it also counts towards loop’s. general attitude towards themself i think. at least they can’t get attacked (if they don’t attack something with sharp quills that is). in kaycee’s mod, this sigil only appears on the ijiraq and starvation (which can only be played by leshy). probably for the best!

i added bifurcated strike both to set them apart from the ijiraq and because scissors craft! stats and sigils wise, they’re a sidegrade to the ijiraq. the fun stuff comes with their hidden trait!

so! shapeshifter!! originally just called. ijiraq. but it works a little different so it gets a different name shshhh. but i’ll just explain how the regular ijiraq works since it’s a kaycee’s mod card and kinda obscure. basically, it diguises itself as other cards in your deck! while on the map, it’ll show the card’s alt version with a red glow, but in battle, it’ll look and behave exactly like the card it’s mimicking. it only reveals itself once placed on the field! so it’s always a surprise! loop works similarly, but they only mimic sif’s card. because twohats :3

like the ijiraq, loop will swap themself with sif for most card events! though there’s a good few that they’ll just refuse to do. too much to talk about there, maybe i’ll post the talking card dialogue for them at some point? idk

oh, speaking of which!! like sif, loop is a talking card! they’ll still talk, even while disguised, but they’d have slightly different lines and portraits methinks. which does make it a little easier to figure out who’s who but that’s a sacrifice (heh) i’m willing to make. plus it’s just fun.

vulpecula is the name of a fox constellation! for fun parallels with siffrin! the constellation itself doesn’t have any mythology behind it though. just a fox. the reason loop’s holding a goose in their mouth(…?) is because the constellation is sometimes depicted with one! please look at the goose i’m really proud of that goose.

this was. probably the hardest card to draw Period. my usual way of drawing loops spiky face would’ve felt out of place with the inscryption style so i had to improvise! and BOY it was a struggle!! especially since i didn’t have a sketch prepared like i did with the others. i think this turned out pretty nice though!

NO PATCH!!!! REJOICE!!! loop can’t be selected for sigil transfers (because ijiraq) so they don’t have any!!!! i mean, i could’ve hypothetically given a patch to the sif disguise but no. i don’t want to even try to recolor the patch. that would be a nightmare. maybe if i ever find a blank png version of the patch.

if i were to give them a patch sigil tho, i think i’d give them hoarder? which lets you draw any card from your deck after placing loop on the field. as like, a nod to how much QoL they add in isat.

also as a little aside, you can attempt to fuse them and the wanderer at the mycologists. they won’t let you but you can try. similarly, they’ll be counted as kin in the trial of kin! because again. twohats

Pokemom Crossbreeds: Orchid Vine

Orchid Vine is the name for members of the Snivy line whose fathers were Fomantis/Lurantis. The breed was named after the pink leaves they have gain, resembling the orchid-like leaves on Lurantis. The breed is a popular showbreed for their gentle appearance.

Snivy

Orchid Vine Snivy gain a little hair poof and pink highlights due to the Fomantis genes, and the vines they use have little pink petals on them. Snivy and Fomantis have very similar behavior, so not much changes behavior wise. They sleep more often however, and they need and open area to bask in the sunlight.

Servine

My personal favorite of this line. Orchid Vine Servine gain petals across their body and their hands turn into that if Lurantis. They lurk in the Meadows in forest clearings, using their orchid vines to hunt their prey. The healthier it is, the more vibrant their leaves.

Serperior

Orchid Vine Serperior keep the pink petals along their body. This breed was beloved in the past for their regal appearance, and many nobles and kings had them in their gardens. In the wild, they slink through flowered-covered trees and flowering meadows, hunting their prey and using their glare to scare off any threats. Orchid Vine Serperior are known to be harder to train due to gaining Lurantis's stubbornness and Serperior's ego, but many trainers say that it's worth it.

This was such a fun one to draw for me. I like a lot of fantasy elements, and to me, this line has the vibes of something you'd find in a magical fairy forest or something like that.

Ngl, Snivy was the most boring one for me to do, but I still find it pretty cute. The hair was added bcuz I felt it looked bald, and I added some neck fluff because Fomantis has it and I thought it looked cute.

Servine is my favorite on here, mostly because I like the color scheme. It was also easy to add a lot of Lurantis traits since most of it involved petals and claws. I think the ears are cute and I love them.

Serperior was my favorite to draw because I like snakes and fantasy, and this reminds me of a beast you'd find in a swamp. The sketch was a bit difficult to trace since the part where the collar starts looked a bit messy to me, but overall, I like it. I'm probably going to do a lot of grass type crossbreeds because 1) they're easy to come up with names for and 2) all of them have fantasy vibes to me

Combining Creatures

combining different animal traits to make a new creature is such a common part of fantasy world that the word most frequently used to describe it is the name of an ancient greek monster that combined a lion, goat, and snake. Now, the original chimera is usually depicted with a lion head, a goat head, and a snake for a tail, usually all attached to a lion body. But I and many other people prefer to combine our creatures in more cohesive ways, trying to make them look like whole living beings, not a frankenstein creation (though those certainly have their place and I do not disparage anyone who prefers them!)

I get asked about this topic a lot, so I'm just putting my advice in one post now! and for my example, I'm going to be using the original chimera as inspiration and combining the features of a lion, goat, and snake.

the first steps are identifying the creatures you want to combine and the end result you want to reach. These two steps are pretty interchangeable! Maybe you already know you want to combine a pig and a racoon, but you're not sure what your end result should be. Or maybe you know you want to make a creature that lives underground and digs holes to catch prey walking over it, using different real life animal traits, but you haven't decided which animals to use.

it's alright to take your time thinking things over and working out the details, and you should never be afraid of doing things over if the creation process brings you some new ideas! It's so rare for a first attempt to be the final result. think about the purpose this creature will serve in your project, do some research on mythological creatures and real animals that have similar behaviors and traits, and adjust your concept until you're satisfied.

and i already know this post will be so long, so the rest is under a cut.

My idea for the chimera design here is that I didn't want it to have multiple heads. Multiple heads is already a difficult design to make believable, and having three heads that are all so different from each other is just a lot to work with. I needed it to look monstrous and I needed the three animals to still be recognizable in the design while also blending them together until it looked a bit more natural.

step one: identify end result and base creatures. Chimera. Lion, goat, snake. find reference images.

I picked a cobra for the snake because it matches with the general region that chimeras originate from and also because the hood has a similar shape to the lion's mane. which brings me to the next step!

step two: identify similarities and differences between your base creatures.

the goat and lion have more in common with each other than they do with the cobra, because they're both quadrupedal mammals while the snake is a legless reptile. but! all three animals have a roughly oblong face shape, and the lion's tail is long and flexible like the snake's, as well as the matched shape of the mane and hood. the coloration of all three animals also look a little similar, with all of them having some level of contrasting light and dark patches.

step three: start sketching out the details.

combine the similar traits, emphasize the different ones. focus on designing the parts that will really make your creature recognizable, and the traits that will be the most important. make some full body drafts! do it as many times as you need to get things looking the way you want. compare and contrast different ideas!

step four: finalize your idea.

as fun as it is to keep sketching, you do have to finish things at some point! pick your favorite ideas and move forward with them. give yourself one good final design and stick with it, making adjustments on it instead of creating more new ideas.

look at that! I had a lot of fun drawing it! step five is to polish your design, whatever that means for you. I'm going to leave this one just as it is, because my idea of a polished design takes hours and I don't feel like doing all that right now. I could paint it out in full and make the textures and colors much cleaner and more obvious.

one important step of polishing, for me, is also making sure your creature fits in the world you're making it for. give it natural behaviors, figure out how it interacts with other creatures and people in the setting. this extra step will really make your world feel more alive and coherent!

the most important step of course is to enjoy your creative work! you've got cool ideas and you should be proud of that!

I've had this idea bouncing around in my head for a while, but I'm not the best at writing.

How would Vincent or Bo react to an S/O that came into town and was just a complete southern belle ? Maybe a bit ditsy but overall well meaning patient and kind. Like grew up pretty rural as well but maybe ended up moving to the city for college and finding out it wasn't really for her, so she's on a road trip back home and maybe gets lost. Some accident happens and she ends up in ambrose. Kinda similar to what happens to Allison in Tucker and Dale vs Evil if you've ever seen that movie? Without her friends of course 😅.

I always thought it would be interesting to put them next to someone who just completely contrasts there personally. They do say opposites attract!

I think Bo would get the most amusement out of this situation. As much as he abuses women and forces them to be with him (Like tying Carly up in his murderfuck dungeon) he would absolutely love to have someone come to him willingly. Would feed his fantasy of having a normal life with a normal lover that wants him and treats him like a person.

He would absolutely dial up the charm and get you flustered and would flirt outrageously. Soak in you helplessness and sweetness before the real horrors begin.

Vincent would still be extremely cautious. Learning from a young age that wolves hide in sheep clothing. that just because someone smiles sweetly at him doesn't mean they want to be his friend. Would absolutely wait for the other shoe to drop and will sometimes, if worked up enough, strike before you even get a chance to prove or disprove his expectations. Forcing you to be his muse and greet him with that same sweetness or else face his displeasure.

If he's in a better mood then he might even try to sway you with pictures he's painted or sketched, scripts of poetry scrawled neatly on the bottom, and wildflowers appearing on the hood of your car where you're sleeping or outside the door of the room in their house that was so graciously offered to you.

When Vincent falls, he falls hard, and nothing will change his mind about making you his in every single way he knows how. Almost taking advantage of your ditsy behavior and sweet demeanor to make you stay with him.

i start with a bunch of random sketches to get the feel of the person.. that's why so many of my early posts were doodle pages. to me, character design is more based on what the person is like rather than what they look like. i think a lot of people do that

I do this with all of the above and shape language, but in bigger art pieces outside of lineups i also use color and perspective (as in youll see more of someone like spepticle in large, sweeping scenes while someone like zam in closed, heavily perspective-based ones) to indicate personality. ill change designs when suited for this too (spoke with or without a gas mask, vi with or without a mouth, etc etc)

my first iteration of lifesteal designs heavily relied on the look of the skins and were gradually tweaked over time. my most prominent example of this is my spoke design, so i'll use him at least once in the examples for continuous comparison.

i watch a couple of each person's videos first, understand their voice, personality, and what they do, then focus on them in other people's videos too to get a full story, their movement, and what others think of them (helps with personality and things we might not see). streams are the most helpful because they're less biased and you see so much more of their antics. huge stream fan.

i get into the how after this

this process doesnt go in order for some designs and others have a more prominent focus on particular parts of the process that override or effect other parts

Voice

starting off with not spoke here's a problem i encountered when designing wemmbu

I based him a lot off of spoke and ashswag due to not knowing much about him besides the fact that he schemes (spoke&ash-esque) and he doesn't move his character around too much when talking (ash behavior). he didn't match the left one because his voice doesn't have the dramatic, flamboyant fratboy flair that spoke has, so I shifted it to be more friendly yet still dangerous with curved square shapes rather than triangles. i made his scheming, diabolical nature more evident through his clothing that's pretty jester-like and sharp, but with a smoother middle that spoke doesn't have (and to match his eyes).

voice also impacts character height. i dont know how to describe this. mapicc and zam are similar heights because their voices are similar, same goes for parrot and vortex, but leo and vitalasy are close to the same height (due to vitalasy's huge fuckass ears) despite having wildly different voices, with leo's bold text voice and vitalasy's higher-pitched jumbled kinda speech they still take up the same "amount of space" in conversation. they stand out. and even though spoke's voice also stands out an incredible amount he is still only slightly taller than average. this is where personality overrides voice in my designs.

Personality

spoke is sharp in every sense of the word, but is also able to mold himself around to get what he needs.

my first attempt at him was pretty lackluster. i didn't know much of him at the time, only his wither video, and thus understood him mainly through his association with parrot. he seemed a lot more evil and more serious at first glance. like woah! fully fledged mouth and nose?! not anymore.

i cover certain expressive parts to also depict more of their personality in some abstract, holistic way. after watching streams and whatnot, spoke doesnt actually speak (excluding his random sounds and yips or whatever he does) too terribly much, except when the spotlight is on him or he's trying to get something. so, i tweaked his design to encompass that when i understood him better.

i take away his arms to allow his hands to stand out more (character movement thing, he moves around a lot when no one is paying attention to him, punches the air when ..not talking but making a point ig. he's a big fan of hovering menacingly), i give him a slinky-like outside skeletal structure to both capture his affinity for withers (i made him a wither thing because of the wither sounds in his video.. and the withers in general) and to give him the feeling of more freedom with his movement.

i also just really like gas masks so. basically, spoke is someone that hides away until he chooses to stand out. thank lord heaven he looks like some shadow creature.

later on i gave him more magenta highlights, especially in the wormhole era because 1. magenta wasnt heavily included in his rainbow look, making it stand out on his whole being, and 2. because magenta is really really cool and people should use it more.

og minecraft skin/branding

hi spokeis here. this will be quick because his branding is so heavy. lightning, rainbow, black. boom. character. withers and white eyes? easy. causes a lot of anarchy? again, lightning and withers.

planetlord on the other hand is someone i greatly differed from the og skin and branding. i saw the design in a vision idk. i shift his colors all the time in different pieces but i use more of his pfp colors now because there's too many purples in this world. his branding, personality, and voice all connect very well. a bit misleading, he's a bit of a weasel.

Movement

i never used to look into movement, but pvp styles and conversational movement of lifesteal is intriguing. unfortunately it was only something i started paying attention to during the end of s4 because vitalasy's movement was so interesting. he's a big fan of getting in people's faces.

ill be real, i didn't really notice spoke a lot during things because he was almost always never alone, and when he was it is always at a distance or you knew he had people to back him up.

spoke's movement isn't actually too abnormal. he's goal oriented and tends to always be doing something, and when he does he finds the most efficient way possible. pretty basic. his design choices are based mainly on voice and personality.

someone like mapicc on the other hand has very particular movement. he spins around people when fighting and gets right up in their face (in nethpot pvp mostly), so i made his clothing tighter to the skin with looser parts to accentuate that movement: practical clothing for close combat battles. it was also noticed (by the lord) that he tends to look straight forward instead of the slightly down that most players do.

zam fights differently, but i made him with the og branding (he's princezam) and what he does in mind. his body language in my art is more indicative of his personality.

shoutout the community, a notable amount of ideas were from the mid-late 2022 lifesteal community.

dog leowook and leather jacket mapicc were from gen, jackalope rek from aoi i think, "croptop" jacket spoke from saints-blade, snail terrain from navy-leader, tv ashswag from kish, sock puppet red definitely from someone i dont remember, 4 armed squiddo from seri, and old cartoon jaron was from bucket

Things that happened/istarted talking about cultural inspirations

spoke and his connection to godhood influenced his redesign greatly. this section affects what the character wears most of the time.

i give both spoke and vitalasy painted palms (alta) due to their connection with godhood and destruction, with spoke in particular reminding me a lot of Kali Ma, thus i gave him a skirt (due to nppp too). vitalasy's clothing is based on Indonesian cultural clothing. wemmbu's also takes inspiration from Indonesian and Bhutan cultural clothing.

indigenous cultures inspired some designs too (i do a lot of ethnographic anthropology work with some of the tribes i base the clothing off of), with woogie having Yupik and Inuit inspiration. polar bear = cold climate in my head. and leo has Haida and Yunnan (minority Chinese providence, not a tribe) inspiration.

bacon's... not bacon strip design's clothing was based on Bangladeshi clothing (im Bangladeshi, i also added alpona patterns to ash's design), nomadic cultures, and some german pilgrim thing?? idk not my best design. i specifically looked for nomadic inspiration because of his willingness to flee at any moment lol. i didnt do this for rek despite his fleeing reputation because i dont watch rek content too much and he already had hybrid traits that took care of that presentation.

poafa's design is a goat because of the medusa trials where he was used as a scapegoat. makes sense i think. his horns are from past associations with jepex that infected mapicc as well (devil trio s1). zam's design is very much from s3 empire and s4 castle.

planet's design changed slightly, mostly rounder shapes, but also the number of "spikes" on his scarf, now stuck at three because of 3ht.. and easier to draw than five. minutetech has a bow instead of a bowtie from jumper due to s5 happenings. the gem on his crown has wemmbu's highlights from his gem's main color.

roshambo's design was also heavily influenced by medusa where i gave him a snake body. in my art that depicts before medusa events he doesn't have the snake body, and same goes with before s4 spoke where i draw him with full pants. in some sketches ive depicted mapicc with a muzzle only after the destruction of s4 spawn due to quix's mapicc dog influence shoutout.

mapicc and ro have matching things that persist seasons (mapicc periwinkle collar, ro red painted ring finger... head finger?), as did subz and vitalasy with matching shoulder pads (beginning of s4 subz had a bandana and vitalasy had a bell that traded between them through artworks of mine) Vitalasy also gained sun and moon earrings. mid and 4c have matching hoods/cloaks ^_^ marriage or something.

TWST Story Idea (5)

A story where Yuu didn't tell anyone they were from another world, making some of their quirks seem strange. For instance, these quirks involved staring at beastmen too long, not knowing much history, and being unfamiliar with most plants.

It could be argued that Yuu was much worse off than Kalim since Yuu didn't know almost anything, but Kalim, even though occasionally wrong, had some knowledge.

This resulted in Yuu being an alien among everyone, so out of tune, so different, and very much out of place. Despite all of this, Yuu still had friends.

Yuu had friends who teased them for their quirks; Yuu could only smile at their friends. They were also dumb, but Yuu was even more dumb for not knowing things, and that's a fact.

Gradually, Yuu grew homesick, and everyone noticed that Yuu was acting weird. However, they didn't pay much attention to it because acting weird was common for Yuu.

Yuu, too, didn't mind that their friends barely cared about it because, after all, Yuu was just an outsider, and their behavior only intensified the homesickness.

Yuu started to develop nightmares. Every night they dreamed of their family, and no matter how many times Yuu reached out or how loudly they cried, their family couldn't hear or see Yuu. Yuu dreamed that they would never meet again, and that terrified Yuu the most.

Their friends were there for them despite the hurtful jokes, but still, the nightmares wouldn't stop. Yuu couldn't sleep well, and their homesickness grew as days went on.

Yuu ended up picking one of the many rooms in the ramshackle dorm and renovated it with a magical artifact that looked like a hammer, changing the room to resemble the one Yuu had back in their own world.

Nobody knew about the room except Grim, and Yuu firmly let Grim know that he wasn't allowed to enter or tell anyone. Yuu didn't have a cat before, and if Grim entered, he would ruin it. If Grim entered, he will reminded Yuu that this was not theit world, and the same went for the rest of them if they entered.

Though when Yuu finished, they found out that the room didn't do justice to the one they owned. Yuu couldn't change the window type or position, nor could they replace the wooden walls with bricks which Yuu settled with wallpapers. The pillows might be the same color, but they lacked the texture and still looked new compared to Yuu's old pillows that went out of shape from years of sleeping on them.

It wasn't the same, but this was the only thing Yuu had. It cured their homesickness just a little bit until it came back in full force one day.

The ghost camera in Yuu's hand could only take pictures in this world. Yuu had pictures of their friends and places, but there were no pictures of their family. Yuu couldn't even if they tried because Yuu was in another world. Yuu missed their family and feared that they probably wouldn't see and forget them.

So Yuu decided to draw in an effort to remember them. The problem was that Yuu was not an artist and had nothing but hazy memories of their family's faces as a reference. Yet, in Yuu's desperation and frustration, they kept drawing despite how none of the lines and shapes showed any semblance of their family's faces. Yuu had to be good at drawing and draw them right fast, or else, they would truly forget them.

Yuu drew until the room was full of sketches of their faces that were either stopped midway or too strange to be called a familiar face.

One day, the others took notice that Yuu could draw pretty well and jokingly asked Yuu to draw them. Yuu looked at them blankly and made a strange smile while declining.

Yuu's heart was a bit heavy. They wanted to talk to someone about their family; however, their friends didn't ask about the people in the drawing, so Yuu kept quiet.

Yuu put the family drawing in a frame and hung it on the wall of that room. The walls continued to hang a new drawing as days went on, and it became a routine for Yuu's gaze to sweep over their faces before sleep took them.

The yearning to go home doesn't stop here. Yuu had turned to eating foods that reminded them of home. Yuu absolutely refused the fancy delicious foods served and sold at the canteen. Yuu gave excuses to avoid eating the desserts made by Heartslabyul, declined the invitation to the Scarabia feast, and avoided going to Mostro Lounge.

A long time ago, Yuu would drool at the sight, excitedly line up to take the food, savor and gush over the new delicacies their tongue never tasted before, and never turn back offers of food since they didn't have money.

Instead, Yuu cooked the food themself, wanting to taste their mother's cooking that Yuu failed to achieve as they fumbled around their way in the small kitchen. Yuu tried to buy the ingredients from the Sam Mystery Shop and found that it was limited or just didn't exist. Yuu was desperate enough to taste-test the plants that didn't exist in their home but were sometimes used in alchemy.

Yuu's friends took notice of this once more and joked about how Yuu had become more diligent as a student. They mistook Yuu's actions as someone who wanted to improve their alchemy grade.

Days turned into months, almost a new year, and there was still no good news.

Yuu tried to cope with living in this world even if the yearning grew stronger. It was hard. Yuu had already surrounded themself with familiar things, and it killed them that Yuu was still stuck here, stuck with their own fantasy that they were truly home.

The homesickness got stronger, and Yuu felt so lonely, angry, and so many things at once.

Yuu began to detach, and this time, the others finally realized that there was something wrong.

oh anon u are spoiling me.... heres a little sketch of her college life. let me begin . . tw for general creepypasta things, abuse, bullying, death, etc

ok. so a lot lulus og stuff is gross obviously (although a majority of the og creepypastas have gross origins/creators). as a kid, i was pretty attached to her, but looking back , its just. ugghhghgh. which is why i want to try giving her her own horror type story while still following some of the core things that made her her. BEGONE WITH MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL KILLERS...

lulu is 24 but described as 'physically 14' which bugs me esp bc theres so much emphasis on her body being like an adult. and frankly i am not crazy about yet another 'little kid bullied/abused then goes crazy/demonic' story so i scrapped the bullshit ‘is 24 but looks 14 but is drawn like she’s 24!’. So I decided to just to make make her whole zalgo poisoning occur later in life. since its now set in university, a handful of things changed. mayhaps she knows jack ?

she grew up as a rich girl being put through several private schools growing up. she wasnt the smartest, she wasnt the most social, and while i think that the og story did this really fucking poorly, she did deal with harassment cuz she developed early. ranged from people calling her a slut for the same clothes as a thinner girl, to getting dress coded for no good reason, to rumors, etc. so, she's being bullied by her peers, though its moreso a ton of gossip rather than stuff in her og. overall school sucked for her

finally she goes to university. shes away from all those people, away from her helicopter parents, away from dress codes and loneliness. she tries SO hard to keep up the perfect daughter persona in public bc she knows shes walking on thin ice(having been punished for things out of her control all her life), with a wardrobe full of pencil skirts and button ups, but then she finally meets this guy named josh. but that shit gets seriously exhausting. and as many kids in her position do, she wants to Rebel .. she starts going to parties and whatnot w her edgy ass roommate. random garage shows, raves, generally reckless behavior etc. its not her fully her thing but she's there and having fun.

idk his name in the og story but there was that guy that led her on just to further abuse her. i changed him up and made him some guy in a frat that she met at a rando party. he was so sweet to her the first time they met, they talked for a long time at the party, he was cool overall and she never ever craved attention like this before - she never even GOT attention like this before, coming from an all girls school, so she clung. but he wasnt actually gonna date her, so he said some bullshit excuse about 'you know how greek life is, my frat wont let me date u unless u join this specific sorority!! soz' and he chose the worst, most clique-y sorority that has the most insane hazing ritual for girls that arent sought after. he thought there was no way she'd give it a shot and he could get her off his back. a dick move, but he didnt think she'd do it.

but, she does - and the hazing is fucking shit. the girls in the sorority are worse than the girls in highschool (and maybe in cliché fashion, one of her highschool bullies ended up in the sorority before her?). it starts off as things like 'oh you gotta buy your sorority sisters coffee for a week' to 'oh you have to be drunk/high throughout all your classes for a week' to completely deranged shit like branding yourself or slashing a professors tires. things nobody in their right mind would do, typically.

i havent decided exactly how exactly lulu hits the point where they think she's dead, but a group of sorority girls think she is. they panic, and in their panic cannot feel her pulse or hear breathing. she's completely unconscious, cold, and frankly on the way to death - so they take her to slenders forest and get to work

they bury her in a shallow grave, unaware of all the different demons residing in the forest watching one of the most gruesome displays of humanity. if youve watched girl from nowhere, theres a scene where nano gets buried alive by a group of her classmates then she wakes up . . imagine that.

im thinking, similar to the operator, zalgo can infect people as well . . maybe people on their death beds ? anyway, lulu's infected. long after the girls run off, lulu manages to dig herself out of the grave. shes wheezing, coughing, sobbing, its dark and cold and foggy, and she now has to come face to face with zalgo making some weird 'i saved you, i want something in return.' and there goes her eyes !!! rip lulu. maybe zalgo did it cuz hes a dick, maybe he actually needs human parts to seal the deal.

theres some more interaction but overall lulu doesnt have a ton of demon powers or anything. new wounds heal quickly, but her past ones will never will. she can be eerily quiet, popping in and out with fog, doesn't need food/water/sleep. . she does have kinda crazy strength(no agility or speed), but she's so mentally weak it does nothing for her

for a while she does just wander the forest in complete and utter mourning, until one of the proxies finds her and is like Oh Fuck that's not human. toby describes her as a zombie. so she's another job for them to handle

eventually they settle her in the hospital with ann.. the hospital is likely an area that experiences more fog, being closer to the lake perhaps, so it just makes sense to put her in an area she can see. it took a while for lulu to calm down bc she now has a pretty big fear around women , and the proxies have to CONSTANTLY come around and check in for a while, cuz she feels safer with them. maybe they tried putting her with jack but jack said absolutely the fuck not. bc lulus legitmately scary. she's constantly croaking, crying, wheezing, dripping blood everywhere she goes, etc.

she eventually gets along with ann, who thinks lulus cute and fun to chat with. i made a joke about them doing tiktok dances together but like. i could see it. maybe ann reminds lulu of her roommate, the only girl whos been completely nice to her ? dunno. (despite the roomie being the reason lulu got into the partying and stuff)

mmmmmm yeah. that is basically the entire rewrite .

i likely wont include her too much in the story just because the rewrite is so drastic+shes not all too popular but i used to feel very fondly towards her when i was 10 and i do think her character cconcept is super cool (the fog, the eye stuff, zalgo poisoning etc). theres just hella weird stuff but its a creepypasta from 2013 idk what we expect

hear me out hear me out… while rin could rock the extrovert x introvert trope, i think introvert x introvert suits him much better.

mans does not need someone as loud as shidou shouting in his ear 24/7. which is why he loves you so much. you guys definitely match each others energy; quiet, attentive and passionate.

honestly, i think rin would be completely fine with your autism and anxiety. he certainly understands that different people have different difficulties and stuff that they’re going through so he’s very understanding.

althoughhhh you gotta give this guy some time to adapt. rin has only had rivals in his life so he’s like a lost kitten when it comes to comforting a friend, or better yet, a lover.

rin is a good learner though. give him some time and communicate a bit and he’ll have it down quickly. need a hug? he’ll definitely pretend to hate it but he could hug you for hours. want to go home? he’s already called an uber.

basically rin is the perfect boyfriend.

but this guy has his own issues too. poor boy is still scarred from his brother so him opening up to you could take a while.

he’s never had anyone to hold so close to him. but once he’s able to open up to you? this man wouldn’t leave you for the world. especially knowing you’re just as scared as him.

oh and his hugs? the best. now in public he won’t hug you, but god he loves it when you hug him. like yes, show everyone how good you two look together.

he’ll definitely pretend to hate it for the first few seconds but you swear it looks like he’s sulking if you try to pull away.

hold his arm while you two are walking together. he loves it.

and in private? my god he matches your energy 100%. he will not leave your side. being alone together is the only time you’ll ever wonder if he’s more touchy than you.

honestly, you two don’t even need to be talking to each other. your presence is enough for rin.

while mans definitely loves to spoil you and take you out on nice dates, sitting on the couch together while you read and he analyzes his matches is almost just as good for him.

now as to how you two even got together? i’d say you met at a cafe. it was a busy day and as there was no space left other than on your table, so he sat there.

now none of you actually said something (god forbid human conversation). althoughhh you thought he was pretty enough to sketch and spent your time drawing him.

of course he noticed (he didn’t seem to mind it) and before he left he scribbled his phone number on your sketchbook and asked you to send him pictures of your sketches.

and that’s how a cute ass couple is born.

he reacts the same to your chaotic behavior as he does with pda. he pretends to hate it. he really tries. but alas he can’t hide the smile that pierces his lips.

the fact that you can keep him on his toes and keep things interesting has him in awe.

horror movie marathons. he loves horror. you love horror. you at least spend one evening per week binging your favorite scary movies.

he’ll also play horror games with you if you ask nice enough :p

personal favorite of mine but the HEIGHT DIFFERENCE? ugh… i love it.

Your AU has done what only the best can and that is made me appreciate the original art in a different light.

Because normally in Shrek I don't understand Charming at ALL. He's loud, entitled, obnoxious, and just a generally a very unpleasant person. I can't see him as anything but a villain, at best a pretty face for someone worse to hide behind.

But Princess Charming turns it from "ugh why the hell is everyone so enamored with this guy?" to "I am not immune to propaganda" and I think I get it now

It is SO REWARDING to hear, you don't even know it!!!

I think the problem here is me, hahah. Even I am not immune to Princess Charming's well... charm.

I, like you, am also very much not of a fan of the original Prince Charming, so when the idea of Princess Charming first came to me, I thought it would just be a funny ha-ha character. Right up until I actually sat down to draw her. She had me ready to risk it all for her after the very first sketch.

After that, I couldn't help myself, but give her an actual story to tell, because I loved her so much and saw greatness in her. I wanted to see the roots of her flaws, see her motivations for her devious acts. And I also wanted to find some positive sides to her. And thus her lore kept expanding until it became what it is today. I gave her a lot of my own struggles (I'm very sorry btw, my baby Charming), explained some things through my own experiences. She's very much her own alive and complex woman today.

I think my biggest accomplishment with her - apart from making literally everyone fall in love with her - is giving her an actual character arc. It starts in Shrek 2, where her backstory and behavior is being presented and partly explained. Don't get me wrong, she's still spoiled and arrogant and whatnot, but in a more nuanced way. She's not being herself or making decisions out of nowhere. All of her actions have places from which they come.

Welp. I really am not sure how all of the above translates into art, but somehow I managed to put the love that I feel into this little drawn woman from my nogging.

pretty right feeling, pity wrong time | senku x reader

Pieces of leather were scattered throughout the camp grounds before them, all scribbled with advanced models and designs of the such. The air was filled with sneers and gleefulness as you and Senku continued scrawling together. Chrome, Gen, and the rest were awestricken by how excited you both looked. It wasn't often that they get to see you guys express genuine emotions of joy. After all, you two have been working hard to build the kingdom of science.

"A wind turbine, y/n!? Haha..so exhilarating!"

"Yeah! But we'd need lots of iron and carbon compounds to make steel...and generators...and electric motors..." You sighed, realizing that a wind turbine required much more than what you held. "...oh well."

"Hey, it's not impossible though. We're getting closer and closer to reaching those eras, so don't gloom on it-"

"Haha, are you serious? As if I'd give up after one concept." You took one of his and your leather drawings and set them on the ground together. "Here!" Senku scooted closer to where you were sitting to get a closer look at your observations. "I see you've drawn out these bluff bullets and lead spheres." You look at him for his reaction and back to the models.

"Yeah...That's a diagram of a catapult you made, isn't it..." A snarky grin grows on his face as your idea came to surface.

"If we built my catapult..."

"And created multiples of my lead spheres..."

"Combining the two, we'd be practically making...-"

"A CANNON!" You both exclaimed in unison, followed by maniacal retorts against Tsukasa's empire. It was amusing how much you two got along. Well of course you did; you were both science freaks after all. Watching the playfulness and tease between you and Senku was like watching children play. Gen had already taken notice of the likeness and relation even before this moment: the cooperation, solitary partnered tasks, and assistance, but this much liveliness between you and Senku made him believe his hunch could be even more valid. He crossed his arms and smirked before opening his big mouth.

"Ooh Senku-chan, y/n-chan! You two really seem to get along with each other, don't youuu~" His hands cupped his face as he swayed around all lovey-like. Your head turned around toward Gen's direction, unamused by his behavior.

"Uhuh. Yes we do," you blankly replied, turning your attention back to Senku who was scribbling a new page of your combined structures, too lost in his little science world to have his focus drawn away. He was hunched on his knees over the piece of leather, one arm to support himself while the other scribbled away. You kneeled just a few inches from him, close enough to see what he was doing. "Anyways, Senku, if the wood isn't strong enough to support the spheres, a possible solution would be to create densified wood." He paused for a moment, hovering his graphite over the leather. Densified wood? Think Senku...what was formula again?

"...Ahh, you mean the process of boiling wood in a mix of sodium hydroxide and sodium sulfite?"

"Mhm. It'll take out some parts of lignin and hemicellulose. After boiling the wood, we'll use heating compression which will strip out some polymers for the new wood to reform and... well I'm pretty sure you know how the rest works out."

"Of course, resulting in the collapse of cell walls and the complete densification of the natural wood with highly aligned cellulose nanofibers." Senku rested the piece of graphite on the ground as the sketch of the model came to completion. He sighed, just before a soft chuckle, and looked up at you. A genuine, confident smile came upon his face, complimenting his features.

"Heh. You're pretty smart, you know that?" Specks of warm rose tainted your cheeks. It was merely a compliment, but still. Compliments coming from Senku were pretty rare, considering the fact that well... he's him.

"Pfft," you chuckled, sharing the given smile. "You just noticed?"

Gen frowned as you two interacted with each other. He was being ignored. Oh well. "Oh Senku-chan, y/n-chan! You sure do have quite the chemistry going on between you two! You know I have a great idea for you guys! Why don't you become a happy little couple!? And then you two could get married, become one, and create-"

"Nope."

"Absolutely not."

"Not in ten billion years." You and Senku stopped to give Gen poker-faced looks. An aura of coldness and grimace radiated from the both of you towards him, immediately putting his mouth on hold.

"..."

"Hey, Senku, you know Gen is right!" Chrome piped, skipping over, crouching down to Senku, and knocking him over with a mere jab of his elbow.

"Shut up, Chrome. You almost stepped on all our models," Senku frowned, pushing Chrome off to crawl and collect the scattered pieces of leather. "We're busy right now. Go be an idiot elsewhere."

"Senku, you like y/n? Haha, oh man! I didn't think you'd ever be interested in a girl, Senku!" Ginro shouted from his post. Interested in the overheard speculation, he raced over and joined Chrome in his playful tease. You couldn't help but laugh at the situation. Senku sat cross-armed with both Ginro and Chrome spitting flirty nonsense at him. It was funny how Senku's face remained neutral, denial after denial of any fascinations towards you.

But deep down, his heart was endeared with nothing but adoration for you.

He's tried to push these silly feelings away, but it was useless. Love was never his thing and was never something he intended on getting distracted by. He fully believed that science was the only love he'd ever need, but with you, it was just something so different, so interesting. His love for you would only waver within.

You reciprocated the same feelings. The inclination profound beneath that scientific onlook of yours. Between you two, that love you shared was as clear as day, an affectionate pact of silence. He could see it in your eyes. You could see in his eyes, yet the sense had never been spoken of. There was absolutely no time to spare for romance. You two knew that. An unspoken rule. That's why you both haven't said anything about your feelings because now wasn't the time. Not yet.

Senku's face softened as he turned to you, Chrome and Ginro continuing with their nonsense. He grinned. You grinned.

I know you know and you know I know. Wait just until after we build this world together. I promise I won't keep you waiting any longer than that, y/n.
