Ssooo cut
Been spending a lot of my time recently creating and trying to find joy in the process instead of worrying about the outcome.
With that being said, I thought you all might enjoy seeing my latest creation that I finished up on Friday 💕

I love you people with hospital wheelchairs. I love you people with transport only wheelchairs and chairs that can't be moved by the user. I love you people with outdated wheelchair models and old chairs. Thrifted and second hand chairs. Hand me down chairs. Cheap, flimsy chairs. DIY scrapped together wheelchairs. Custom chairs that were built wrong, don't fit, or don't meet the user's needs anymore. Wheelchairs that are broken, missing pieces, falling apart, and have parts that jut out far. Mobility scooters, adaptive strollers and other seated mobility aids that aren't normally included in wheelchair user circles. People without access to a wheelchair who are forced to use creative but dangerous solutions like pushing around seated on a rollator or desk chair. I love you every seated mobility aid user who doesn't have a very typical, functional or pretty looking wheelchair ESPECIALLY us who rely on our chairs to not be house/ bedbound or have any quality of life. I think we deserve to be proud of using these mobility aids as much as people with fancy bespoke active wheelchairs

Fun fact I have indeed stopped caring, and I'm so very werid now that I don't even care if I bother others now.
i don't know what autistic person needs to hear this but they are not watching you. the entire world is not constantly waiting for you to do something weird and laugh at you behind your back. you do not need to constantly self-police whenever there's the slightest chance another person might see you. you have a right to be your autistic self in public spaces. stop fighting yourself for their sake.

Sometimes I don’t think people get that chronic means chronic. It means forever. I’m going to be stuck with this for the rest of my life and I’ve had to learn to make peace with that myself. Telling me ‘hope you get better soon’ and ‘it won’t always be like this’ is pointless because you’ve completely ignored the definition of chronic illness.

I think some of us ambulatory wheelchair users are getting pretty close to (or already are) throwing full time users and higher support needs disableds under the bus. And that shit needs to be shut down NOW.
It's the problem of: "how dare they treat us like those people!"
The problem with ableists isn't that they assume we can't walk The problem is they assume we don't need our wheelchairs if we can. That we don't need our handicapped placards or transport vehicles. That we are taking advantage of other "actually" disabled people, that the ableists also don't give a shit about unless they're using them as an excuse to be ableist.
The problem with ableists isn't that they assume we are intellectually and/or developmentally disabled. The problem is they assume that every intellectually/developmentally disabled person needs to be treated with baby talk, dismissal, and ignorance. That they don't see them as people and refuse to listen to intellectually and developmentally disabled voices without making fun of them.
Stop throwing people with higher support needs under the bus. Stop doing what the abled neurodivergent community did to all physically disabled people. Us cripples gotta stick together and fight for one another, not push one down to make ourselves somehow look better to ableist fucks.

good morning!!! this is a PSA that yes, ambulatory mobility aid users exist!! no, they are not faking their disability because you saw their leg move and no that doesn't give you the right to then harass them over it. and actually, you never have the right to comment on someone else's disability. leave off, it's nothing to do with you!

Unpopular opinion but painkillers should be more easily and readily available to people who need them without all the red tape and "oh but what if you get addicted" oh but what if i live the rest of my life in pain.. not that it matters right?
