Simple steps to Transform Pew Warmers into Disciples of Jesus Christ.
Biblical Transformation is commanded after a person is born again. When a person is born again they are given a new heart, and God will give them His Holy Spirit. So the spirit of the believer in Christ is pure, but the mind of the believer has to be transformed from the habits of thinking like the old man they used to be and start thinking like the new man that they are. References: Ezekiel…

Cleaning Out Old Files: Finding Treasures
In my office are four large file cabinets, 16 drawers in all, and two more drawers in my “aircraft carrier desk” filled with files on every book of the Bible and hundreds of topics related to virtually all fields of literature and the humanities plus numerous topics in science. It is exactly the case in most pastors with a seminary education. We collect thought stuff that will help us organize…

Spiritual Growth Through Meditation on Scripture
The Lord instructed Joshua, saying, “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success” (Josh 1:8). This command involves a deep, reflective engagement with Scripture, allowing its truths to shape one’s…

This Is Why My Favorite Mantra Is Unbiblical
In the fall of 2021, I joined a biblical meditation challenge hosted by Revelation Wellness because I was curious. I quickly fell in love with an idea that was expressed frequently throughout the challenge. I grabbed hold of that mantra and made it my own. Nineteen months later, God showed me that my favorite mantra is unbiblical. Completely. The Offending Statement The phrase that I wanted to…

"The masculine urge" "the feminine urge" The Christian urge to buy a crucifix necklace so I can meditate on the Christ Crucified and wonder in awe of the incarnation and in horror of human violence and in utter confusion at God's self giving love for us that led him to die the death of a cursed blaspheming slave.

For instance, while passing along and carefully observing your objects of veneration, I found even an altar on which had been inscribed ‘To an Unknown God.’ Therefore, what you are unknowingly worshipping, this I am declaring to you. The God who made the world and all the things in it, being, as he is, Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade temples

Excerpt From The Historical Novel: The Secret Gospel of Jesus AD 0-78 by Anton Sammut
“This is why Jesus would urge Mari [Mary Magdalene] to look after the women noting, ''Cultivate their regard for you because those women who are naturally drawn to you are exceptional people, sensitive women who are very close to spiritual freedom. However, before they can achieve this ultimate goal, you must first tend to their psychological wounds, the visible and the invisible lesions they have experienced at the hands of men, just as we once did in your homeland. It is only if these existential traumas are healed properly that these women can finally reach equanimity of spirit and heart....”

We hear a lot about "cancel culture". When Fox News sacked Tucker Carlson, his opponents acted like it was a major victory and a courageous decision. People such as Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar are already saying that they will leave the USA if Donald Trump wins in 2024. That is not operating from a position of courage and strength, nor is it a victory. It is cowardice, grudge bearing and defeat.
The Stoic philosopher, and Roman Emperor, Marcus Aurelius said, "Choose not to be harmed—and you won’t feel harmed. Don’t feel harmed—and you haven’t been." Here, Aurelius says that it is not what is done to us that matters. The important thing is our response.
Elements of Stoic philosophy can be seen in the writings of King Solomon. I like to think that this may have been an influence of those such as Aurelias, despite the unfavourable opinion of the Jewish people that he expressed. Solomon wrote, in Proverbs 25:21-22:
"If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat;
if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head,
and the Lord will reward you."
This is operating from a position of strength. Rather than treating your enemy as your enemy, rather than attacking, cancelling or insulting them, do good to them and in this way truly highlight the wrong that they are doing. Jesus said:
"But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you..." (Matthew 5:44)
This is true strength; fighting the "natural" urge for revenge. Cancel culture is weakness.

Proverbs Daily Reflection – January 7, 2025
Good morning, God bless you! Proverbs 7:3 "Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart." #josephmekaelpageministries
Proverbs 7:3 Reflection “Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.” This verse reminds us to keep the Word of God as the most important foundation in our lives. Just as Jesus instructed the rich young ruler, “If you want to enter life, keep the commandments” (Matthew 19:17), we are called to actively integrate God’s Word into our thoughts, actions, and daily routines.…

Harnessing Inner Peace: A Pacing Toolkit Tool for Those Living with ME/CFS or Long Covid As we face the approach of Hurricane Milton, we are reminded of the moment when Jesus calmed the storm on the Sea of Galilee. His disciples, filled with fear, watched as He spoke these simple yet powerful words: “Peace! Be still!” And the storm settled. This is such a time for us to look at the storm that’s…
