Starting off, Thank you all for your amazing suggestions!

We had a total of 11 responses and 47 unique ships. These split into 8 Garnet, 25 Rhodonite, and 14 Alexandrite. Another amazing stat is that one ship was suggested so many times (15) that it was promoted to Garnet. While it the ship seems to have plenty of Maribatters wanting it, it is still going through the voting process to be fair. Those in the discord know what ship that is. The next step is voting on the ships that Maribatters want to see as the Active Roster. The link will be featured below.

Bracket(??) Announcement!

I have FINALLY (which I am very sorry for guys) finished going through my submissions and have created something that looks like a bracket. BUT, in order to include the most characters, I have devised a group round with 128 characters divided into 8 groups and have sorted them in a way that prevents this competition from becoming a batman vs spider-man final.

making the polls shouldn't take nearly as long so be on the lookout for those! this will be pinned and I'll make sure to edit this post with links to the polls, and matchups are not necessarily going to be heroes next to each other! matches can be made up by any two heroes in the same group

Meeting the night of vengeance

This is for Flashpoint Paradox week day 3, "he was my friend too, if we can bring him back, I'm in." @maribatgetin

Barry marched inside the Wayne Manor. It looked even darker than he remembered. It seemed that the light was afraid to enter the building, it looked like no one had ever tried to clean up the place. The dust that covered the walls made it look abandoned and inhabited. It had no signs of life.

"Alfred?" Barry yelled in the empty manor.

"Bruce!" He tried again.

"Bruce! It's Barry!" Still nothing.

He continued calling out for Bruce and Alfred but eventually gave up. He decided to go to the batcave.

The batcave was looking very different. Too different than what he remembered. Everything was dusty. The cave looked like an actual cave. There was no batcomputer, fancy cars, dinosaur skeleton or that big coin or the batsuits and Robin's suits, okay he can't even count the things that were missing. He moved further into the cave. There was a board with cards, covered in blood…. pinned on it and a gun covered by glass container with a family photo on its side. He could tell it was Bruce and his family before they died. He saw the same picture while exploring the manor with Alfred.

"You were the James Bond of superheroes Bruce, what happened to you?" He was about to lift the container when something hit his head, hard. He looked back to see Batman. With red lenses instead of white, he was looking much older and agrressive…

His train of thought was cut short by another blow from Batman. He didn't have his powers, and he wasn't skilled in martial arts like Batman.

"BRUCE! STOP IT'S ME BARRY!" The Bat's eyes widened and his gun hit him hard. He felt his vision blurring as blood filled his mouth.

"Who are you? And how did you get here?" Batman lifted him up easily, shorter in height but still very powerful.

"Bruce I-" He was punched right in his face and his lip started bleeding.

"Mention my dead son again and you're dead!" His eyes widened comically.

"Thomas Wayne…" He whispered. The Batman took his hand-

"Wrong answer." And broke his finger. He screamed in pain.

"You have nine fingers left, answer wisely." He felt his vision clear and then blur again. His mouth was filled with the mattalic taste of blood.

Batman broke another finger. He screamed in pain again. He tried to speak but blood came out of his mouth instead. 

"My patience is wearing off. On the second thought, you are better off dead." He waited for the blow but it never came. He looked up from his spot to see the back of a familiar woman, she had blocked the punch of Batman.

"Marinette." She looked at him and tears streamed down her cheeks.

"Barry…" She helped him stand and laid him on the cot. 

She looked at Batman with teary eyes. He looked guilty.

"You need to keep your anger in control uncle Thomas." Barry's eyes widened.

"He shouldn't have come here in the first place and he kept saying my son's name." Batman growled an answer.

Marinette just let out a dry chuckle, "Beating him isn't going to help bring him back uncle. If I hadn't come, you would have made me a widow." Then she glared at him. Batman met her glare with his own.

Batman looked at Barry with a look he couldn't decipher, but anger was definitely in there, "So you are Allen.

Barry finally found his voice, "U-Uncle Thomas?" 

She kissed his cheek and stood up to get medical supplies. 

"I met Bruce when I was 5. The Waynes came to our bakery. We both immediately clicked. We were best friends. Nothing could separate us.-" She wiped the blood from his lip.

"-Mr. Wayne here and his spouse, came there often and even invited me to their house when he saw Bruce laugh.-" Barry looked at Thomas to see him drinking looking at the far end of the cave.

"Bruce was the one who died in the alley that night." Barry mused in realization.

"Yes. I was there that night. We went to the movies. The man shot Bruce, but before he could shoot me, uncle Thomas beat him to death." Marinette looked sympathetically at Batman. 

"I-I saw Aunt M-martha, hu-hug Bruce and her-her hands covered in-in blood as she hugged Bruce…." She took a deep breath as tears welled up in her eyes.

"I touched her, she-she covered her mouth with her bloody hand. She-she must have felt her hands were slippery, because she- laughed. Laughed like a mad person. Thomas took Bruce from her, checking for anything, any sign of life. I was too scared to go near Martha, I looked at the wide blue eyes of Bruce, t-th-th.. blood…" She broke and sobbed loudly. To Barry's surprise, Batman put a hand on her shoulder and she hugged him. He just patted her back.

"Then Mrs. Wayne became joker… and you became Batman to get rid of the crime. Marinette went home but she was greeted by a burning bakery." Barry said, everything clicking into place.

"I was too busy caring for Martha, who was getting worse day by day. I told her that she doesn't smile anymore. That day when I came home, she had cut her cheeks, the only thing keeping her skin together was two staples. I knew it was too late for her. But I never expected her to become a serial-killer. I forgot about Marinette. She survived on the streets on her own. After so many years, she came to my door, and introduced herself." Batman took off his cowl.

"Now why are you here?" Batman or rather Dr. Thomas glared at him.

"I was the Flash, in-in another timeline. My power was superspeed. Everything was different. Me and some other heroes made a justice league. Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern…. And Batman or Bruce Wayne were my friends. I-" Batman cut him short.

"How can I believe you? How can I know that you haven't hit your head somewhere or aren't faking it. I always knew you were wrong for her." 

"I-I…." His eyes suddenly catch the glimpse of his ring. "I can show you! My suit was in my ring." 

A suit did come out of the ring. But it wasn't his…. Barry jumped out of the cot and grabbed the suit, hands shaking.

"Isn't that what you were expecting?" Batman had put his cowl on and Marinette was standing a little away.

"Of course! Zoom did it!" Marinette gave him a confused look while Batman glared at him.

"Zoom came from the future, he repeated the experiment that gave me powers and came back in the past to kill me. He called himself reverse Flash. He created this timeline! This is his suit!" Barry growled.

Marinette waded in, cutting whatever Batman was about to say.  "He's telling the truth, I also remember my childhood. Much different childhood, no streets, no-" She clutched her head. Batman supported her.

"Bruce…." Marinette uttered.

"What?" Batman looked at her face.

"He shot you! That man shot you and Martha! Me and Bruce-" Batman put his finger on her mouth and turned to Barry.

"You mean we can bring back my son?" Barry nodded.

"He was my best friend so if we can bring him back I'm in. But what about you uncle?" Marinette looked like a kicked puppy.

"Bruce can take much better care of you than me. There will be no joker. No world ending war, the world is better off that way." Marinette nodded, eyes hardening and muttered under her breath looking away, " I'll miss you." 

"So what do we have to do?" Batman looked at Barry still clutching the suit angrily.

"First we need to get my powers back."

I'm supposed to be working on my soulmate au but I accidentally came up with this idea.

So damian and marinette have been dating for a while (and she knows about robin and he knows about ladybug) but they haven't told damian's family yet, before they get the chance Bruce finds out and gets mad. It could be because he thinks marinette is a gold digger, or that she will sell them out to a villain, or he heard some lies about her (from lyla/the ladyblog), or maybe, and this is a bit of a stretch, but maybe he thinks marinette is doing the same thing to damian that Taila did to Bruce. Like she got pregnant to try to make him stay with her.

Anyway damian and Bruce get into a fight like a big fight and Bruce says something along the lines of, "if you hate me so much why don't you move out?" To which damian replys "maybe I will!" And then just leaves. Like he is gone and Bruce doesn't hear from him again for months.

In the mean time damian and marinette have moved in with Barry Alan and his wife (who is a queen) and are just chilling in Central City.

The reason i like this idea so much is because I watched the flash series and loved it, so Barry Alan is one of my favorite characters. He had a horrible past but you would never know that looking at him. He looks like a cinnamon roll but would kill someone if they became too big of a problem. And unlike batman, his villains don't escape every week.

You Had Your Chance To Help Years Ago And You Blew It

Chapter Eleven: Laying Down The Rules As Quickly As Possible Before An Akuma Appears

Summary: The meeting between Ladybug and the league has arrived unfortunately it's cut short by a night time Akuma.

Author's Note: I'm back and this time with a long chapter.

The meeting room was filled with nervous chatter and why wouldn't it be, the members of the league were waiting to meet a hero with powers from a god and said hero was quite clearly pissed at all of them for noting helping them out when they sent several cries for help five years ago. So needless to say the league was nervous.

Most members jumped in surprise when the door opened except for martian manhunter who already knew when Ladybug had entered the watchtower. As Cyborg and the Trinity went to sit down in their seat, the member turned to focus their attention on Ladybug and a hero they didn't recognise.

The hero's hair was pure white and pulled into a high bun, she wore sunglasses instead of a mask and her costume consisted of a dark brown coat which had a black rope belt, black padding on the end of her arms and on her shoulders, it had a turtle neck collar and the bottom was wrapped around her like a skirt but on the second time around on side was diamond-like and was left loose. She wore black pants and had brown horse riding boots on. Her weapon appeared to be a horseshoe that was tied to the hero's rope-like belt. What was clear to the league was that this hero was an adult unlike the well-known heroes in Paris.

The room was quiet with the heroes questioning who would say something first while feeling the coldness of Ladybug's glare and the daggers that the new hero was clearly sending them through their glasses. Surprising Hal was the first to speak up, "Ladybug, I would like to apologise for the pain that your city has experienced on behalf of the league and the other green lanterns due to the idiotic mistake of the green lantern called Guy Gardner",

"Where would Guy Gardner be now since I'm pretty sure we would like the apology to come from him" spoke the unknown hero in a cold tone,

"He is on a mission at the moment but when he comes back, we can assure you that he will face consequences" replied Superman,

"Quick question who are you? miss" asked Flash,

"My name is Jument, I'm the holder of the horse miraculous and is one of the two temporary heroes that Paris has" the newly named hero, Jument answered.

"Now onto the important matters, I going to give you the basic rules for you when dealing with Paris" stated Ladybug, "You can not enter the city as you superhero identity without informing us or the government beforehand, you will be accompanied by one of the miraculous heroes during your stay for safety purposes, you will not engage with an Akuma unless we give permission and you will not engage with hawkmoth or any of his allies without us".

As soon as she said this, it was quite clear many wanted to object but were cut off by Jument, "these rules have been agreed upon by the French government and failure to follow these rule will be a criminal offence along with the fact that these new rules will be public knowledge so that other heroes not from the league will also know about the rules",

"You are still allowed to be in Paris as civilians but only as civilians" Ladybug continue staring pointedly at Batman as she said this,

"Aren't these rules a bit drastic?" questioned Cyborg "what if we need to be in Paris quickly but can inform the government in time?",

"If that happens the government will look over the incident to see if you unannounced arrival was justified or not but for now just follow these rules" answered Ladybug "and no the rules are perfectly understandable since we don't need one of you being akumatized along with considering the fact we don't know how your powers could affect an Akuma victim if you decide to fight one".

"That is understandable" stated Batman while the other heroes looked like they wanted to argue but decided against it, "How can we help you with these Akumas? since I believe everyone in this room will agree when I say we don't want to sit around and not help you" asked Wonder Woman,

"The best you can do is try to find out more on Hawkmoth's identity and send the information you find to the government" replied Jument,

"We will send you the info we have so far but be warned it's not a lot" continued Ladybug as her yo-yo beeped.

Grabbing it, the heroes were surprised to see it open and hear the voice of a young girl who had the distinct sound of someone who was rich and always got what they wanted, "Ladybug, the Carpenter has made an appearance along with an Amok" the girl said right before the room heard the distinct sound of a crumbling building.

"Shit, Medusa make sure none of you engages with Carpenter until I arrive, focus on the Amok" Ladybug stated with panic in her voice. Ladybug looked at Jument who nodded as she yelled out Voyage as she created a circle in the air which seemed to become solid before throwing onto the wall of the meeting room. The circle became a portal that showed the platform of the Eiffel tower.

"I apologise that we have to cut this short but we need to get going now," Ladybug said quickly as the pair of heroes went to leave before Wonder Women grabbed Ladybug's arm.

"Before you go Ladybug, I need to ask if you are willing to meet with my mother Hippolyta as she would like to meet the new holder?" she asked getting an annoyed look from both heroes, "I will talk it over with Tikki but I must get going" replied Ladybug as ripped her arm from Wonder Woman's grip, running through the portal before it closed.

"You could have asked at a better time, Dina" stated Hal, "I wasn't sure if I would be able to speak with Ladybug again soon since it appears that we are basically banned from Paris along with the fact that my mother wants to see the new holder soon" replied Wonder Woman,

"Why?" questioned Flash,

"Because she was a former holder of the ladybug miraculous and want to see how she could help the new one" answered Dina getting surprised looks from the league,

"And you didn't bother to tell us this information sooner?" asked Batman,

"I mentioned it but you seemed to be focused on their ages and how to earn Paris forgiveness to listen" retorted Wonder Woman glaring at the Dark Knight.

"So what now?" questioned Superman trying to change the subject before an argument broke out,

"We investigate Hawkmoth and the heroes" replied Batman in an icy tone.

So to be honest I haven't had the motivation to write due to writer's block and me getting back into anime which meant I have been focusing on other fandoms but since I've started to write again, I hope to get more chapters out soon.

I know the meeting wasn't as long as you guys probably wanted but like I couldn't think of how this would play out so it's short, I may come back and rewrite this at a later point but for now, here you go.

mainly because you wouldn't stop annoying them, but that's not important-

wally was so confused

as y/n, however, you were in robin's school, where you knew him as the infamous dick grayson

Hear me out, i had an idea for a Miraculous x DC prompt. So, after defeating Hawkmoth the JL invites Ladybug to join them, she agrees but as a kind of support hero, she still wants to help just not fighting If possible. That's how the JL gets a healer for their party, yay. It's all fine and dandy until some of the older members start noticing how some sidekicks are more reckless in training so they can go see the cute new nurse

I probably butchered the characterization of some of them but it can't be worse than some DC writers, right? P.S, this is a mix of YJ show and the DC comics.

Ladybug placed the Butterfly Brooch into the Miracle Box. She felt exhausted and wanted to go straight into bed and sleep for a week straight. After years of blood, sweat and tears since a pair of earrings came into her possession, she finally did it. Hawkmoth was defeated.

Adrien had renounced his ring and moved to London with his mother so he can take care of her in peace without the shadow of his father’s actions hovering over him.

Marinette on the other hand was set to move to New York, and hopefully, get a fresh start but she was undecided on what she wanted to do.

After Lila and the reveal of Gabriel being Hawkmoth, she had lost the passion she once had for designing. The man was the reason she had started getting into fashion. With Lila and Chloe both destroying every sketchbook she had, in addition to lack of time or inspiration, she doesn’t have the same drive for it like she did when she was thirteen. Although she does still design for Jagged Stone, Clara Nightingale, Kagami’s family and the Graham de Vanilys.

Her JL-issued communicator beeped with a message. When the Justice League caught onto the situation in Paris, Ladybug arranged with Wonder Woman so no Leaguer could enter without her say-so. The message was to arrange a meeting so they can discuss what to do since Hawkmoth was defeated.

She was surprised when they offered her a position in the League which she turned down.

She told them that she was tired of fighting. She was tired of being on the battlefield with the smell of burning flesh and silence after the screams of people were cut off. While she wanted to help people, she would rather do it from the wings instead of being at the frontlines. She also wanted to take it easy since Hawkmoth had finally been defeated. She instead offers to be a back-up hero in times of crisis and the use of her healing magic to assist other heroes. They all agreed.

Flash noticed that Impulse had been getting reckless lately. He is usually reckless since superspeed and all but getting hit by Captain Cold’s ray gun which could have been easily avoided if he didn’t stop suddenly was a little suspicious. Impulse then made a big show of needing medical care with his foot still encased in ice after Captain Cold and Heatwave were both arrested. He sped away before Barry could get some answers.

In Star City, Green Arrow and Arrowette were chasing some robbers. During the chase, Arrowette had fallen off the roof. Arrowette insisted that she was fine and that Oliver should not stop chasing the petty criminals on her behalf. Would you look at that the zeta tubes are a block away. She can go and get herself checked out for injuries if Oliver is so worried about her. Green Arrow left and continued chasing the thieves but there was a strange feeling that he was missing something.

At the Watchtower, Superman, who had been looking for Kon, finally found him in the medbay while their newest member, Ladybug, was healing him. Her hands were glowing pink as she hovered it over Kon’s face and healed his black eye. Ladybug giggled at the story Kon was telling her about one of his many adventures with Red Robin. The glow in her hands died and she told Kon to be more careful since she had been seeing him a lot. Kon laughed it off and flirtily said, “Of course, sweetheart. But sometimes, I can’t help but fall at the sight of you.”

As soon as he left the medbay, he ran straight into Superman who had one eyebrow raised.

“You do remember that you have a fast healing factor, right?” Superman said.

Kon sheepishly answered, “Well, sometimes, I want to speed up the process even faster. So what brings you here, Kal?” “Well, Jon told me that you antagonised Robin and he had punched you with kryptonite knuckle dusters. So I was worried and wanted to check on you. You look fine.”

“Yup, thanks to Ladybug. She’s awesome.”

“Uh-huh.”

“See, I am fine now. Thank you for checking in. Go back to doing JL founder stuff. And I think I hear someone calling for help. See you later. Bye.” Kon then hurriedly took off.

Superman shook his head at Kon’s antics when Impulse appeared with his right foot partially covered in ice. The boy cheerfully greeted Superman. The Kryptonian heard the already fast heart rate of the speedster get faster as soon as he saw Ladybug. A moment later, Arrowette showed up, appearing mostly fine. Then, she began limping and clutching her left wrist. To other humans, she might look like she was in pain but Superman could tell that she was faking it. The reason why became increasingly clear as he hears her heart rate also pick up when she is greeted by Ladybug and she became annoyed at the sight of Impulse in the medbay.

Superman decided that whatever was going on was none of his business and to let the kids figure it out on their own as he went for his shift for monitor duty.

Nightwing and Red Robin both groaned as they sat down at a table in the Watchtower cafeteria. Batman didn’t look up from his salad and the latest case file on the string of murder in Gotham as he asked them what was wrong.

“Red and I decided that it would be nice if both our teams do some training together so we can coordinate if we ever have an overlap in our mission.” Nightwing started.

“Only most of them weren’t bringing in their best. The training exercise was a complete nightmare.” Red Robin grumbled. “Now, most of them are in the medbay getting treated for their injuries. I don’t know what has gotten into Kon and Bart.”

“Cassie and Kara wouldn’t stop fighting to focus properly.”

The boys continued to complain about the problems between their various teammates while Batman grunted here and there to indicate he was listening.

“Any ideas, B?”

“I sent Stephanie to New York last month.” Batman replied.

“Yes, I know. She wouldn’t stop talking about how you set up an exclusive meeting with the notoriously private MDC for her birthday. What does that have to do with our problem?” Red Robin pouted, not knowing how Bruce’s mind worked at times.

“I solved it.”

“What?”

Then, Ladybug walked in as she grabbed a lunch tray. Everyone around her age began to check their appearance and approached the part-time heroine. Just before they could do anything else, Spoiler walked in all her purple glory, pushed past all the other heroes and hugged Ladybug from behind. She whispered something in Ladybug’s ear, causing her to blush as red as her suit. Then, Ladybug turned around, pulled off Spoiler’s mask and gave her a peck on the lips as every young hero groaned in disappointment. Impulse yelled NOOOOO as he ran out of the room.

The two girls seemed lost in their own world as Ladybug picked her lunch and Spoiler added what she wanted to the tray. They soon joined the Bats’ table.

“Hey, guys, I just want to introduce you to my girlfriend, Ladybug.” Spoiler said, causing Ladybug to be flustered and telling Stephanie that it’s too early to meet her family.

“Bring her over for dinner this Saturday.” Batman requested, “I will tell Agent A to prepare for another person.”

“We will be there, B. Gotta go.” Spoiler dragged her rambling girlfriend away.

Nightwing pounced on his father, “Did you plan all of this?” Batman simply smirked and ate another forkful of his salad.
