Indecisive Chloe - By Stilly and Asha

Chloe and Marinette get together after high-school

Chloe realizes she has had a bit of a crush on Marinette for a while and Marinette, of course, knows and can't keep a straight face when Chloe tries to confess

“Shut up, I’m trying to tell you how much I like you!”

So when Marinette meets Nightwing through ‘work’ she has a chat with Chloe about it

Chloe isn't a fan

“I’m not saying that he’s evil, but I am saying that all rich people are trash.”

Of course, she isn't going to stand in the way of her girl getting Nightwing

And when Chloe ends up falling from the Eiffel Tower in another world villain event 

Nightwing gets to catch her

“Trust me-I won’t let you fail.”

And when her breath catches in her throat, she knows that yes.

Nightwing is totally going to be joining them, she Will be making sure of that.

Malachite Milestones Results are in!

The two fiery ships ended up in a tie! As a result, both ships will be a channel with the discord.

Garnet Guardians had one submission and that was Lapped Seams aka Konette. They are also receiving a channel.

All the other ships did not receive any submissions. That is alright though because there is always next year!

For anyone what would like to know stats from the event, they will be found below the line.

We're talking an established relationship here, but a very fun one at that

Luka is the grounded one, calm cool collected

Wally is a speedster. Enough said

Dick is more, in between. 

He fuels Wally and with Luka's influence he becomes more levelheaded

Dick and Wally met first 

Dick confessed first

“Shut up, I’m trying to tell you how much I like you!”

Luka sort of wormed his way into the relationship without much fanfare

One day he was just. There.

And they were happy ever since

Of course, being Dick and Wally's boyfriend comes with walking in on some peculiar situations

“I left them alone for five minutes.”

Because of course Luka walks in on Dick chucking marshmallows into Wally's mouth who's catching them at superspeed

“Start at the beginning and tell me how we got to this.”

As well as some sweet ones 

“You made me a mixtape?”

Because of course Luka makes his loves mixtapes

And Dick, being the drama queen he is means they watch the worst Hallmark movies known to man

And Wally Loves to quote them

Chronically

“If I tell you how badly these heels hurt, will you carry me?”

He always uses the high-pitched voice too

“Trust me- I won’t let you fall.”

Which results in Dick laughing who spurs Luka into laughing and Wally is always laughing

Dick loves the cheeriness of Wally’s laugh

Luka loves the tune of Wallys laugh

Wally likes to whisper to Luka about Dick's ‘rich kid status Sometimes to make him laugh

“I’m not saying that he’s evil, but I am saying that all rich people are trash.”

It's always at the Most Inopportune times too

Tldr: Luka loves his boyfriends, Dick loves his boyfriends, and Wally loves marshmallows

"Throuple in Paris" - By Stilly & Asha

Roy and Jason are on a mission in Paris, trying to track down an elusive bad person

They end up meeting an informant at a club

They, while trying to find the guy, run into this cute blonde guy who's out clubbing with his friends 

Jason, while being Jason, decides to walk up to the guy and strike up a conversation

Because he's cute, and Jay and Roy are both open to the idea so why not

Roy would honestly rather Jay just get the guys number and get back to the mission

One of the club goers is off to the side playing darts and is downright horrible at it

Roy obviously has to fix that

He steps away for five minutes

Five. Minutes. 

“I left them alone for five minutes”

Roy returns to collect his partner in vigilantism only to find Jay kissing Blonde Boy

Which. Fine, but like, dude we're on a mission!

“Start at the beginning and tell me how we got to this.”

Jason, ever the smug one, explains that this is Adrien and Adrien is totally going to come with them.

Roy is 100% against this

“We're not bringing a civilian into this”

“Okay, but I'm not”

Marinette is in the corner glaring about secret identities

So, Roy loses the debate and Adrien joins in

Of course, since Adrien had been out with his friends partying, he's not exactly dressed for success 

“If I tell you how badly these heels hurt, will you carry me?”

Roy, with Jason looking smug, sighs and picks Adrien up bridal style 

They meet up with the informant

The poor informant is vaguely confused as to why two well built men are meeting him dressed down with a third, quite sparkly leaner counterpart

He doesn't question it due to the protective glare of the one with the hair streak

The trio gets their info and moves on, calling it a night and enjoying themselves with Adrien

They leave that night with more than what they came for

Of course, being in Paris for a week meant they could spend more time with Adrien while also working their case

Eventually Roy and Jay find out about Adrien coming from money

Of course, Jay has thoughts about that, despite all three of them coming from money

“I’m not saying that he’s evil, but I am saying that all rich people are trash.”

Lots of cute dates at a patisserie, the park underneath the Eiffel Tower, and seeing their cute new date model

They also spent a lot of time hanging out

Roy's favorite date was at the top of the Eiffel tower

Adrien leans over the edge and Jason hold him titanic style 

“Trust me- I won’t let you fall”

Roy promptly ruins the sweet moment by singing the song from titanic

You know the one.

Their mission comes to an end and Adrien is reluctant to see them go

Roy and Jason don't want to leave him either

Jason begins to explain that they don't want to go but they need to go, and they have to go but they don't want to and-

Adrien cuts him off

“Shut up, I’m trying to tell you how much I like you!”

Adrien gives a parting gift to the two of a mixture his best friend Nino made for them to enjoy until they return to Paris 

“You made us a mixtape?”

Because they will return.

Because Adrien is theirs now

Roy has never been happier that Jason gets distracted on missions

This was a really fun experience doing a collab! I had never done a bullet fic before, and Asha did a lot of the front work while I played clean up man and idea thrower. Definitely will be doing some more in the future! More poly ships from the two of us can totally be found in its discord home of Maribat Menagerie!

I love Raven's design I came up with so much that I just had to draw her again. I also wanted to show off my Tim design because that one has such specific detailing that I adore (even if it takes a while to get through).

Ships have come out of the shadows to liven up the race! Garnet Guardians received their hit with a Lapped Seams (Konette) and Rhodonite Ravagers got another racer in the mix with Alley Cat (Jaydrien)!

Maribat Menagerie Tag Game: Rare Pair Link Chains

Hello everyone!

Tag games are a fun way to connect with your friends and bring things to those who may not be aware of them. Taking a spin on it can bring a new twist.

How This Works:

A series of 'anchors' are going to be listed below.

Pick one of the anchors and build off it by exchanging one of the characters out or by adding one to it.

For every member of the ship, tag that many people in the reblog or in a main post.

Additions to a chain can be multiple ships which will act as 'mini anchors' and help create a longer one.

Did someone say they wanted a wildcard?

Surprise! Malachite Milestones' 2nd Wildcard is getting revealed early.

To put it simply, mistakes happen. When moving over the Wave 1 suggestions, a ship was incorrectly stated on the Wave 2 form...

The reasoning is that Marinette decided she wanted a girl's day with Cass and Kagami, so she forced Felix to stay home. Felix complied only because Adrien easily would have burnt down the kitchen trying to bake Jason a cake without Felix's supervision.

The true reasoning is the way the ship suggestions were listed out. My (Stilly's) brain double, triple checked but with so much Marinette in ships, it glitched out and put Marinette instead of Felix.

To mend that mistake, the ship of Cass/Kagami/Felix is getting a free pass into Alexandrite as a Wildcard. All ships suggested were supposed to be put into Wave 2, so it on me (Stilly) for messing that up. Apologies for that.

This wildcard is named 'Midnight Aurora Storm' and has been provided the first ship logo of the event.

Ship logos are going to be created throughout the event to symbolize the fun names picked by Maribatters. Other Bugbats are welcome to create logos as well!

If you would like the logo to be used in the event, post it here on Tumblr or in the Discord. Then, @ this account (or the Ringleader) and we will see about adding it into the submission form.

While not a true 'requirement', consider implementing the colors of section the ship comes from in the design. In the one above, Alexandrite is represented in the aurora storm.

Colors to consider: Garnet: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Brown Rhodonite: Light Pink with Grey Alexandrite: Mix of Blues and Purples (hints of brighter pink)

Malachite Milestones Wave 3

Welcome everyone to the start of the event!

What better way to celebrate Pride month than a Rare Pair and Poly Ship event? This runs through the entire month of June.

Event Info/Reminder

This is open to everyone!

17 ships were voted to represent the Active Roster (will be found below the line). These ships are split into 3 sections to give a variety a chance of winning.

The overall winners of each section will win their own channel in the discord server. Since the focus is on Ao3 but we still want creators of other media forms to participate, a wildcard ship will win a channel as well based on these submissions. The top ship between all sections will be given a drawing by an amazing Maribatter!

Another wildcard will be revealed halfway through the month. This wildcard will also receive a channel.

Every fic gets 1 point. As certain milestones are completed, they will receive extra points for their ship! (For the list of milestones, see the informational document in 'Important Links')

Every couple days there will be updates on Tumblr as to how the scores are looking. All milestones hit will be shared here as well!

The Submission Tracker will be updated asap and will provide links to all submissions for those who are here to enjoy the creations while not creating themselves.

Malachite Milestones Wave 2

Starting off, Thank you all for your amazing suggestions!

We had a total of 11 responses and 47 unique ships. These split into 8 Garnet, 25 Rhodonite, and 14 Alexandrite. Another amazing stat is that one ship was suggested so many times (15) that it was promoted to Garnet. While it the ship seems to have plenty of Maribatters wanting it, it is still going through the voting process to be fair. Those in the discord know what ship that is. The next step is voting on the ships that Maribatters want to see as the Active Roster. The link will be featured below.

Welcome to Maribat Menagerie's Discord announcement!

The Menagerie is the place for all things rare in Maribat.

What can you expect from the Menagerie?

Rare Pairs, Poly Ships, Bio-Parent, and Strange AUs These amazing rarities are the focus of the server. Each has a category dedicated to them.

Events of all kinds The server features an event exploration forum for members to suggest events. Events are run to give a spotlight to the rarities of Maribat. Event suggestions with high engagement are given a chance to be run through the Menagerie. (Considering limitations)

Member Contributions Emotes are left to the members to design and decide on. Server banner (if unlocked) is also left to the members. Creations of rarities that come from the incredible minds of members.

In Server Features A menagerie of themes. Main ones are Rocks/Gems and Zoos. Forums for brainstorming, other fandom focus, personal interests, artwork and crossovers. Authors channels with a combined theme of gems and animals. Ping roles to join in on sprinting (focused, timed writing) and beta reading. An in-server Miracle Box of roles to collect by completing certain tasks. This also has its own channel/role focused on it.

Server Environment Positive, motivational space. One of the main goals is to foster an environment where members can help each other create the pieces they have been wanting to. Fresh, but ready to flourish
