easy run today - feels crazy to be able to say running 15 feels easy but it was. had a tad humbling experience where three large groups of shirtless young women glided past me when i wasn't even feeling particularly slow, but it is true that im not altogether that quick. new route which was more enjoyable than I expected, though I had a few minor navigational difficulties. Started feeling really good in the last few miles which is always a bit goofy but enjoyable. I was actually supposed to run a race today but I never made plans for it LOL so I probably should have run a few miles further than I did but I won't worry about it - 20 last week and 22ish next week will be just fine and this week didn't need the miles. now going for a day trip with my coworkers - should be fun! also don't worry guys you only have five more weeks of this kind of posting (maybe 7 bc i have a "trail" half but I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to try and race it and won't until it's time probably)

#Trail in quotations bc it's largely on a rails to trails path and only has a little singletrack so I don't think it's going to rlly slow #I'm also running with 2 of my friends #One who I'm faster than and one who has historically been faster than me but I'll be way better trained...#this has happened before (with my half marathon pr where she COOKED ME in the last 5k)#but I think the scale will be different this time so idk if we'll run together or if she'll want to race or she'll cook me again or what #BUT THATS NOT FOR A WHILE #Anyway #Tetrapod runs

was talking with a friend about how some of dunmeshi fаndom misunderstands kabru's initial feelings towards laios.

to sum up kabru's situation via a self-contained modernized metaphor:

kabru is like a guy who lost his entire family in a highly traumatic car accident. years later he joins a discord server and takes note of laios, another server member who seems interesting, so they start chatting. then laios reveals his special interest and favorite movie of all time is David Cronenberg's Crash (1996), and invites kabru to go watch a demolition derby with him

Tommy basically said "the DSMP was good because it was, and still is, loved" and that basically sums up my feelings on the matter too.

#sure you can talk about the controversies about former members #and how the types of people involved in the writing shaped the narrative in ways that are increasingly troubling to look at #but it was also a project that was and still is loved by many of the (to our knowledge) better people involved #and it inspired so many artists and writers and musicians #people made friends through it #it helped people get through the worst parts of lockdown #my opinion of the dsmp for a while now has been pretty bitter. even when i wanted to remember it fondly it was tainted #and i dont think the worst aspects of the story or the ccs should be ignored #but its also so nice to have the opinion of 'yeah. it was good'#despite everything else there was something worthwhile in the dsmp #dsmp #tommyinnit #okay thats enough dsmp posting in 2024 lmao

we need to destroy the idea that girls should wear makeup. normalize bare faces on prom queens and flower girls and cheerleaders. no products at all instead of '7 product simple makeup routine.' no more 10 step skincare and regular facials and dermablading and gua sha just to be comfortable with yr natural face. i want to see eye bags on the funny librarian and acne on the swim coach and wrinkles on all our adult role models. i want to see a 16 year old girl that has never tried putting on eyeshadow. i want to see a 7 year old girl who doesn't have to go out and buy powder for her dance recital. i want to see trans women and girls everywhere to never have to wear makeup, regardless of how well they 'pass.' no more 'contouring to look masc' either. a post-beauty industry world is possible
