Surprise! A short little update since I had some time today.
🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒
Idol Yoongi x Female Spouse Reader
Warnings: Swearing, angst, body insecurity, hints of cheating, Jealousy, maybe more…
Part 1
You mindlessly wiped down the counter to pass the time and make your shift go a little quicker when your boss came walking in.
“Y/N make sure you sell the rest of that cherry pie. It’s about to spoil and since it was your suggestion to start selling it I’m taking it out of your paycheck if we don’t.”, he directed before storming into his office and slamming the door. He was lucky the cafe paid decently and was so close to your apartment otherwise you would have quit a long time ago.
Some time later as you were folding some napkins the bell on the door chimed indicating a new customer had arrived. You put on your best customer service smile and walked over to the register to take their order.
“Hi welcome to Comfy Cafe. How can I help you today?”, you asked.
“Hi uh yeah can I please get a large iced americano?”, the man in front of you spoke. He looked familiar. You knew he was most likely an idol signed by one of the companies headquartered near the cafe. The way he dressed and his mint colored hair was not the usual style your everyday customers had, but you couldn’t quite place who he was.
“Would you like to add any bakery items?”, you asked hoping for an upsell to please your boss.
He shook his head while digging around in his wallet looking for his credit card.
You continued, “We have a really tasty cherry pie! And cherries are actually quite good for you too by the way. They have antioxidant properties, are heart healthy, AND can help with your sleep thanks to containing some melatonin.”
Finally the guy looked up at you with his eyebrow raised, “And also loads of sugar and fat that I’m pretty sure cancels all of that out.”
Your face fell slightly, “Right... I guess so.”, you chuckled feeling silly, “One large iced americano coming right up.”
You placed the drink on the counter and began ringing up his order when he stopped you, “Oh and uh add on a slice of cherry pie.” You perked up and nodded excitedly, “Cherries are also high in fiber so there’s that too!” You heard the guy laugh making you turn nearly as red as the pie you were holding, but the relief you felt knowing you were one slice closer to not loosing a portion of your hard earned paycheck made a huge smile spread across your face. You packaged everything up while he paid and then waved a good bye before walking out the door. By the end of your shift there was only one slice of pie left and you ended up purchasing it with your free daily employee meal so none of it had to come out of your check.
That same guy started coming into the little cafe every couple of days. One of the days your coworker helped you figure out that he was Yoongi or Suga from the group BTS. She was Jungkook biased herself so you heard a lot about the group that day.
For being famous, Yoongi was always very polite and friendly when he would come in. He would order an americano and a slice of cherry pie each time, usually to-go but sometimes he would stick around and eat at the cafe while having a conversation with you. There were even a few times that he brought the rest of the group which your boss absolutely loved you for since they pretty much cleared out the display case of various pastries.
Eventually Yoongi asked you out on a date. One date turned into two and then three and four then next thing you knew you were his girlfriend. All the while he was still coming into the cafe at least once a week, as long as they weren’t on a tour, and would order a coffee and a slice of cherry pie. You offered him other items, the banana bread was good and the cinnamon rolls were to die for, but he stuck with the same cherry pie.
It wasn’t until your first anniversary that he finally confessed something he had been hiding for a long time. You had surprised him with some homemade cherry candies. It was your grandma’s recipe that included cherries and whiskey, two of his favorite things…or so you thought. You were so excited to give him the gift. He thanked you profusely, but you could tell something was off. After some prodding he finally told you the truth.
He hated cherries. He hated everything about them. The way they felt, the way they stained everything red. The way they tasted. He hated fresh cherries, cherry cobbler, cherry jello, and even cherry pie. He hated the cherry flavored medicine his mom used to give him when he had a sore throat. He hated the sickly sweet and artificial cherry scented perfume his aunt always wore. He even hated the cherry chapstick that his sixth grade crush was wearing the day he worked up the courage to kiss her.
But most of all he hated the way you frowned and looked so defeated that first day he met you at the cafe when he declined your offer of the pie. So he went against everything he believed in and ordered a slice of the cherry pie and the way your face lit up again into a bright smile made him realize that maybe he could like cherries even if just a little bit.
The days he took the pie to go were easy because he could pass along the slice to one of the other boys who gladly gobbled down the dessert without issue and then in the days he had a little extra time and would eat in the cafe so he could spend some more time with you he would focus on your pretty face and the conversation between you two instead of the cherry abomination on his plate.
As he told you all of this you felt both butterflies that he was willing to suffer like that just to see you smile, but you also felt terrible too.
Then you had a realization and burst into laughter and in between giggles had to explain how at one point your boss wanted to take the cherry pie off of the menu since it wasn’t a big seller and was hard to keep fresh, but you begged and pleaded with him to keep it. The last thing you wanted was to have to tell Yoongi he couldn’t get his slice of pie so eventually your boss relented and kept the pie on the menu. But you were required to come into work hours early every day to make the pies yourself. So for months you woke up super early and walked to the cafe just to make sure there was a cherry pie available in case Yoongi walked through the door.
The both of you realized you had been unnecessarily suffering for each other over this and that is how cherries became a symbol of your love for one another.
“Y/N! Y/N please wait!”, your husband was shouting as he tried to push his way through the crowd. You were on a mission to find your daughter and get out of that place as fast as you could. Your feet were burning, your legs felt wobbly, and your back ached, but you pushed yourself to walk as fast as you could waddle because the thought of being anywhere near Yoongi hurt more than any of that.
“Momma! Did you see me?! Did you love it?!”, Hana came running up to you in the hall. She was carrying the little bouquet of flowers Yoongi had arranged to have delivered for her and the rest of the class.
“You did so great baby! I’m so proud of you.”, you exclaimed leaning down to place a kiss on her forehead, “Now go get your coat. We need to go.”
“Y/N.”, Yoongi gasped out of breath behind you. You ignored him while keeping your focus on the door so you could grab Hana as soon as she came out.
“Baby…”, he said reaching for your hand, but you pulled away.
“Don’t baby me. Leave now before Hana comes out. I’ll let her know you had a work thing to go to.”, you said hoping the anger in your voice covered the quivering sound from you being about to cry.
“Y/N, please… let’s talk about this. Let me explain.”
You laughed and rolled your eyes before shaking your head and turning away from him.
He continued, “You’re going to get yourself worked up and it’s not good for you or the baby. Let’s go home. We’ll put Hana to bed and then I can make sure you’re taken care of. Then we can talk.”
“Fuck off Yoongi! What is there to talk about?! You want to explain to me how long you’ve been cheating on me with that woman? Do you want to talk about how deprived of intimacy I am lately while you’re out fucking her and who knows who else? There is nothing to talk about!”, by the time you were finished you were out of breath and had tears rolling down your cheeks. You felt shaky and were sure a few of the people around you were staring if not listening in.
You weren’t sure what you really expected from him, but Yoongi was as stoic as ever as he silently stared at you. He finally went to speak, but Hana excitedly came running into the hallway and jumped into his arms. He spun her around and gave her cheek a kiss before gently setting her down while you hastily wiped away your tears so she wouldn’t see.
Then he surprised you when he reached for your coat that was being squeezed to death in your shaking hands. He held it open for you and helped you get it on, even making sure it was buttoned up with your scarf neatly tied around your neck. He did the same for Hana before grabbing her hand and leading her towards the exit while you silently followed behind them.
When you walked through the door of your home Hana shouted goodnight and went sprinting to her room to start getting ready for bed after you promised her chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast if she didn’t make bedtime difficult. You were in no mood for it.
“I’ll start her bath. You need to take your vitamins.”, Yoongi said while hanging up his coat.
“I don’t know what you think you’re doing.”, you shook your head, “But you’re not staying here. Get out Yoongi.”
“Y/N…”
“No!”, you hissed trying to keep your voice down, “You cheated on me Yoongi. The only reason I even got in the car with you was so that Hana wouldn’t get upset at the school and cause a scene. So leave now before she comes back out and I’ll tell her you had an emergency at work.”
“Wh-Where am I supposed to go?”
You scoffed, “I don’t care. Go to your studio. Go to one of the boys. Go to that woman’s house! I’m sure she has more of your clothes you can wear for the night or don’t wear any at all! It’s not like you need them while you’re fucking each other anyways.”
At that same moment you felt a sharp pain sear through your side and you doubled over in pain.
“Y/N!”, he whispered before running to your side in an instant and rubbing your belly with his hand. He helped you to your bed and got out your favorite pajamas to place down next to you. He left the room before returning shortly with a glass of water, your vitamins, some milk, and bowl with various fruits along with a chocolate chip cookie that he had warmed up just the way you liked it. You felt a lump forming in your throat that you couldn’t quite get down.
He grabbed a bag and shoved a few items inside it. Then he cleared his throat, “I’ll leave Y/N, but I’m only leaving because I don’t want to upset you any more than you already are right now. It’s not good for you or the baby and it’s terrifying me. I want you to rest and then we’ll discuss this tomorrow. Call me immediately if you need anything.”, he said before closing the bedroom door and walking down the hall. You heard him open up Hana’s door to take a quick peak before closing it again and then a few moments later you heard the familiar beeps of the front door signaling it getting opened and shut and then he was gone.
Now that you were alone in the comfort of your own bed you finally broke down into sobs. You were so exhausted physically and emotionally that you were unable to even change out of your dress. You buried your face into your pillow hoping to hide the sounds from Hana.
You had asked him to leave and he did, but for some reason that hurt more than anything. Maybe a part of you wanted him to stay and argue with you, even if it lasted all night and went round and round to go nowhere. You wanted him to say something hurtful to you so that you would know he was hurting too. You wanted him to make you feel like he wanted to fight for you…for your marriage and family, but instead he walked away and left you replaying the nights events over and over. It left you wondering if and when he had stopped feeling anything for you and maybe all of this was why things had been feeling so off between you two lately.

Frankincense (Boswellia Carteri) and DNA Repair🧬 💉🤯
Frankincense, or Boswellia carteri, has been revered for its therapeutic properties across various cultures and religious texts, including the Bible. Its usage dates back thousands of years, cited for its capacity to heal and purify. Interestingly, modern scientific research has begun to uncover that the resin of Frankincense may have properties that contribute to cellular health, including DNA repair.
Properties of Frankincense:
Anti-inflammatory: Boswellic acids, the active compounds in frankincense, are known for their powerful anti-inflammatory effects.
Antioxidant: Frankincense is rich in antioxidants, which help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals.
DNA Repair:
Recent studies suggest that frankincense may contribute to DNA repair mechanisms. The presence of compounds in frankincense can potentially support the body's natural ability to heal and regenerate by:
Reducing Oxidative Stress:
Antioxidants in frankincense mitigate oxidative stress, which can damage DNA. By reducing such stress, frankincense helps preserve the integrity of genetic material.
Anti-inflammatory Effects:
Chronic inflammation can lead to DNA damage and subsequently, various diseases. The anti-inflammatory properties of frankincense reduce such risk factors, indirectly supporting DNA repair.
In the biblical narrative, particularly in texts like Genesis and the Book of Enoch, it's mentioned that fallen angels (Nephilim) sought to corrupt mankind's DNA. If seen from this perspective, the concept that frankincense—a substance already revered in biblical times—can contribute to restoring and repairing DNA is compelling and symbolic.
Purification: Frankincense has traditionally been seen as purifying. In the spiritual sense, using frankincense to "repair" DNA could symbolize the restoration of divine order and purity, aligning humanity closer to what some might interpret as the original creation by God.
Spiritual Healing: This idea ties into the broader spiritual and healing properties traditionally ascribed to Frankincense. It represents not just physical, but also metaphysical restoration.
A Fascinating Intersection: The intersection of ancient spiritual beliefs and modern scientific findings presents a fascinating scenario. The idea that a substance mentioned in the Bible as sacred and healing could, in fact, have properties that support DNA repair underscores the timeless nature of traditional wisdom, harmonizing with contemporary science. 🤔

improving your memory
having a good memory is like having a personal archive of valuable information at your fingertips. it enhances efficiency by allowing you to recall facts, dates, and tasks quickly, making daily life and work more productive.
good memory also aids in learning, helping you retain knowledge and skills, which makes acquiring new information easier. it plays a crucial role in problem-solving by enabling you to draw from past experiences to tackle current issues.
additionally, remembering details about people—such as their names, interests, and past conversations—helps build and maintain strong relationships. keeping your memory sharp also has health benefits, as studies have shown it can delay cognitive decline and reduce the risk of conditions like dementia.
essentially, a good memory is a mental toolbox that equips you to handle life's challenges more effectively and can even help you stay organized and on top of things. improving your memory can be achieved through a combination of lifestyle changes and mental exercises.
below are some strategies:
stay mentally active: keeping your brain engaged is crucial for maintaining cognitive function. activities like solving puzzles, reading books, playing chess, or even learning a new language or musical instrument can create new neural pathways and enhance mental agility. continuous learning and challenging your mind can prevent cognitive decline and improve overall brain function.
get enough sleep: during sleep, your brain processes and consolidates information from the day. deep sleep stages, particularly REM sleep, are essential for memory consolidation. aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night to ensure your brain gets the rest it needs to function optimally. establishing a regular sleep routine and creating a restful sleep environment can also improve sleep quality.
eat a balanced diet: nutrition plays a significant role in brain health. foods rich in antioxidants, such as berries, and those high in healthy fats, like nuts and avocados, can protect the brain from oxidative stress. omega-3 fatty acids found in fish are particularly beneficial for brain function. vitamins, especially vitamin E and B vitamins, are essential for maintaining cognitive health. staying hydrated is also important, as dehydration can affect cognitive abilities.
exercise regularly: physical activity increases blood flow to the brain, which can enhance memory and cognitive function. regular exercise promotes the growth of new brain cells and improves the connections between them. activities such as aerobic exercises, strength training, and even yoga can be beneficial. aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week to keep your brain healthy.
practice mindfulness and meditation: these techniques can help reduce stress, which is known to negatively impact memory. mindfulness and meditation encourage relaxation and focus, allowing your brain to function more efficiently. regular practice can increase grey matter in the brain, which is associated with improved memory and learning. incorporating mindfulness into your daily routine can help you stay present and retain information better.
stay organized: keeping your environment and tasks organized can significantly improve your ability to remember things. using tools like calendars, to-do lists, and notes can help you manage your time and responsibilities more effectively. breaking tasks into smaller, manageable steps and setting reminders for important deadlines can also enhance your ability to remember and complete tasks.
limit sugar intake: high sugar consumption has been linked to cognitive decline and impaired memory function. excessive sugar intake can lead to inflammation and oxidative stress, which can damage brain cells. reducing your sugar intake and opting for healthier alternatives can help protect your brain and improve cognitive function over time.
stay socially active: engaging in social activities and maintaining relationships can stimulate your brain and keep it sharp. social interactions can provide mental stimulation and emotional support, both of which are important for brain health. joining clubs, volunteering, or simply spending time with friends and family can help improve your memory and overall cognitive function.
incorporating these strategies into your daily routine can help keep your brain healthy and improve your memory. consistency is key, so try to make these practices a regular part of your life.
i hope this post was helpful! 🫶nene

→ PAIRING : Med Student!Hoseok x F!Reader (Brother’s Best Friend AU)
→ RATING: Mature, 18+, suggestive tones.
→ DATE POSTED:
→ SUMMARY: You’ve spent four years convincing yourself that your brother’s best friend is just being nice when he remembers your coffee order, quizzes you on neuroanatomy, or lets his touch linger a second too long. Because there’s no way that the golden boy of Seoul National’s medical program might actually be flirting with you. Especially when he keeps saying things that could be perfectly innocent… if only he didn’t say them in that voice.
→ TAGS: second person perspective, female reader, medical school au, brother’s best friend trope, age gap (4 years), pining, touch starved, overthinking reader, confident hoseok, gentle dom hoseok, medical terminology as flirting (lmao), study sessions, domestic moments, innocent (but not really), plausible deniability king hoseok, anxiety, internal monologue, guilty crushes, subtle teasing, emotional edging, gentle manipulation, praise kink undertones, intellectual attraction, competency kink, hand fixation, voice kink, medical intern hoseok, first year med student reader, home setting, casual intimacy, unresolved sexual tension (for now), secret attraction, nervous rambling, self-doubt, intrusive thoughts, anatomy lessons with ulterior motives, competent hoseok, flustered reader, close proximity, accidental touches that aren’t accidents.
→ CONTENT in this chapter: Hoseok being a menace with medical terminology, innocent (but absolutely calculated) comments about oral muscle endurance, subtext so thick it's suffocating, plausible deniability at an elite level, flustered reader, casual intimacy that feels dangerous, and dinner table tension that might actually kill you.
→ MASTERLIST | TAGLIST REQ | WORDCOUNT: 2.2k
→ MINI SERIES: NEXT | PREVIOUS
→ A/N: Listen. I don't know what is wrong with me. I sat down to write something normal, and then suddenly I was researching orofacial muscle fatigue like a lunatic. WHY is this man like this? Why does he say things so kindly while ruining your life? Why is he explaining anatomy while looking directly at you like that? Anyway. This chapter is dedicated to anyone who has ever choked on their food while someone smiled at them way too nicely.
PLAYLIST
Tumblr media
It starts in the kitchen.
Which is unfortunate, because the kitchen is small. And there are only so many places to stand before proximity becomes a problem.
You’re hyperaware of it—the space (limited), the air (too warm), him (entirely too close). But it’s fine. You’re fine. You’re just making tea, and he’s just existing, leaning against the counter like this is his apartment instead of your brother’s. Like he belongs here. Like his presence isn’t making it impossible for you to function like a normal person.
(He’s not even doing anything. Which somehow makes it worse.)
“I didn’t know you liked green tea.” His voice is easy, just conversational. Not a trap. Probably.
You don’t look at him. Can’t. “Yeah. I mean—I do. It’s good. Antioxidants and stuff.”
Brilliant. Truly stunning commentary.
Hoseok just hums, and you hear the soft clink of his rings against his glass as he lifts it to his lips. He’s drinking water, which seems unfair. Water is neutral. Water doesn’t require decisions. Meanwhile, you’re standing here, internally debating whether you’re taking too long to steep this tea, if leaving the bag in too long will make you seem weird, if—
“Relax, Chip.”
The words are casual. Just a little offhanded throwaway of a comment. But it lands like a dropped match, tiny but catastrophic.
You blink. Slowly. “What?”
Hoseok sets his glass down with a soft thud and turns to you fully, eyebrows lifted in lazy amusement. “You’re overthinking your tea.”
He says it like it’s obvious. Like it’s a thing people do—casually observe someone else’s entire internal meltdown and name it out loud.
Which, to be fair, is exactly what he’s doing.
Your ears feel hot. “I am not.”
“You are.”
He’s enjoying this. You can tell. It’s in the corner of his mouth, the hint of a smile he’s barely holding back. Not mean—just knowing.
And then it clicks. The name.
Chip.
“Wait,” you say, narrowing your eyes. “Did you just call me—”
His grin sharpens, eyes flashing with something teasing, but infuriatingly innocent. “Yeah,” he says, like it’s no big deal. “Chip. Short for chipmunk.”
You stare at him. Your brain scrambles for a response and comes up with absolutely nothing.
He keeps going, undeterred. “You do this thing when you’re overthinking—” He gestures vaguely at your face, at you. “Your cheeks puff up. Just a little.”
Absolutely not. That does not happen.
Except—you know exactly what he’s talking about.
Which means he’s noticed.
You turn back to your tea, because looking at him feels impossible. “That’s not a real thing.”
“It is.”
“It’s not.”
“It is,” he says again, softer this time. Almost amused.
You risk a glance at him. He’s watching you, expression easy, mouth still curled slightly at the edges.
It’s not a big deal.
It’s just a nickname.
But you can feel it settling somewhere deep in your chest, warm and unwelcome, curling into the spaces he’s already managed to take up.
Chip.
You should tell him not to call you that.
You should absolutely, definitively tell him not to call you that.
But you don’t.
You tell yourself it doesn’t mean anything.
That he’s just being himself—casual, playful, thoughtless in the way people like him can afford to be. That it’s just a nickname, not a calculated attack on your sanity.
And yet.
Yet.
You feel it every time he says it after that.
The first time, it’s two days later. He and your brother are in the living room, a game on in the background, when you walk by with your laptop. You aren’t even stopping—just passing through—when he glances up and says it like it’s always been your name.
“Where you off to, Chip?”
The sound of it makes you trip over your own feet. Embarrassingly. You don’t even answer, just keep walking, face burning, fully aware of the way he watches you go.
Then it happens again.
And again.
Sometimes it’s subtle, slipped in like an afterthought. “Hey, Chip, toss me that.” “You always this quiet, Chip?”
Other times it’s deliberate. Measured. Like he’s testing the weight of it, like he’s waiting to see if you’ll react.
You don’t.
You refuse.
(Which only seems to encourage him.)
And then one night, it’s just the two of you. Your brother’s in the shower, music spilling under the bathroom door, and you’re curled up on the couch, trying very hard to ignore the fact that Hoseok is sitting way too close for comfort.
His arm is slung over the back of the couch, loose and easy, and every so often, when you shift, your shoulder brushes against his.
(You should move. You should absolutely move.)
Instead, you stay where you are and pretend to be very, very interested in the show playing on the screen.
Hoseok shifts. You feel the weight of his attention before you see it.
“You don’t like it?”
You blink. “What?”
“The nickname.” His voice is low, smooth, barely above the sound of the TV. “You never say anything about it.”
You don’t know what to do with that. Don’t know what to do with him, watching you like he’s reading something written just under your skin.
“It’s fine,” you say, and it’s not convincing.
His lips twitch, but his voice stays neutral. “You sure?”
You nod, too quickly.
There’s a beat of silence. You can hear the shower running down the hall, the TV filling the air with white noise.
And then—so soft you almost don’t catch it—
“Good.”
It lingers in the space between you, something light, something easy. But you feel it settle somewhere deeper. Somewhere dangerous.
Because now, you know for certain.
He’s not going to stop.
And that’s the problem. It’s a problem. Because Hoseok is nice.
He’s just nice.
He’s warm and charming in a way that isn’t practiced—it just is. The kind of person who remembers how you take your coffee after hearing it once, who laughs with his whole chest, who makes people feel like they belong.
He’s good at things, too. Competent in that effortless way that makes it infuriatingly easy to admire him. You’ve seen him fix things around your brother’s apartment without being asked, roll up his sleeves and lean under the sink like it’s nothing, like he was built for it.
(Not that you were watching. Not that you noticed the way the muscles in his forearms shift when he grips a wrench.)
The point is—this is just how he is. With everyone.
So it’s fine.
Everything is fine.
Or at least, it would be, if he’d stop saying things.
Because then, it happens at dinner.
And the reason for Hoseok being here is simple.
He’s always here for dinner.
Not every night, but often enough that it’s routine. That your parents barely bat an eye when they see him at the table, that your mom still sets an extra plate for him when she cooks, that your dad asks about his job like he’s part of the family.
Because he might as well be.
He and Caleb have been friends since his first year of university—long enough for Hoseok to be comfortable in this house, for your parents to know his favorite foods, for you to be so used to him being around that you shouldn’t be affected by it anymore.
(And yet. And yet.)
Dinner is normal.
It’s just the five of you at the table, passing dishes around, the smell of takeout filling the air. The conversation is easy, punctuated by laughter, by the scrape of chopsticks against plastic containers.
It’s nice. It’s comfortable.
Or at least—it should be.
Except your eyes keep tracking him. They always do. The way he sits—too at ease, too familiar. The way his sleeves are pushed up just enough to be distracting. The way his fingers grip his chopsticks, loose and confident, movements fluid and practiced.
(It’s stupid. It’s stupid that you’re noticing these things.)
Your dad is asking Hoseok something about work, and you force yourself to focus, desperate to ground yourself in the conversation instead of spiraling into a pit of your own making.
“How are you managing, with the residency?”
“It’s been busy,” Hoseok says, setting his chopsticks down neatly. “But good. No complaints.”
Your mom tuts. “You work too much.”
Hoseok just smiles, warm and self-effacing. “It’s not so bad.”
Your dad nods approvingly. “That’s a good mindset. A little hard work never hurt anyone.”
“And at least someone in this house is doing it,” Caleb says, nudging you lightly under the table.
You roll your eyes. “I work plenty.”
“Studying doesn’t count,” Caleb argues, because he loves to be annoying.
“It literally does.”
Your mom sighs, long-suffering. “Can we have one meal where you two don’t bicker?”
You sit back in your chair, focusing very hard on your plate, on not looking at the person sitting just to your right. The conversation flickers and tumbles around you, but you don’t register much of it.
And then—
“You should use your mouth more, Chip.”
The table goes quiet.
Your heart stops.
Your stomach plummets.
Your entire soul leaves your body, hovering somewhere above the dinner table, watching this play out like a nightmare in slow motion.
Because—because—
He didn’t mean it like that. He can’t have meant it like that. Not here. Not in front of everyone.
Your dad is right there. Your mom is right there.
Hoseok is just sitting there, utterly relaxed, a picture of perfect innocence.
You’re the only one who reacts.
And that’s the problem.
Your brother—oblivious, as always—just scoffs. “I keep telling her that.”
The world tilts.
Your face burns.
Because Caleb just agreed. Like this is a normal conversation. Like this is fine.
And maybe it is fine.
Maybe you just missed something again—some context, some crucial piece of information that would make this make sense.
You frantically rewind the last few minutes, trying to figure out how this could possibly be about—
“She eats too fast,” Caleb continues, like he’s talking about the weather. “I’ve been saying it for years.”
Your entire body deflates.
Oh.
Oh.
It’s nothing.
It’s just about chewing. About how you’re always the first to finish your plate, about how your brother has been calling you out for it since you were kids.
You were imagining it.
Your hands are clammy. Your heartbeat is still a mess. But you take a slow breath, trying to pull yourself back together.
You force a weak, strangled sort of laugh. “Right. That.”
Hoseok hums, tilting his head slightly. “I wouldn’t say that.”
He taps his chopsticks against his lower lip, slow and thoughtful, as if genuinely weighing his next words. Then, with the kind of mild, absentminded curiosity that should not be dangerous but absolutely is, he continues—
“Oral muscles are surprisingly adaptable. With the right conditioning, they can handle prolonged exertion without fatigue.”
Your brain short-circuits.
Absolutely not.
You’re suddenly hyper-aware of everything—the weight of his voice, the way the words land, the way your lungs forget how to function. You try—desperately—to convince yourself that he means nothing by it, that this is just a fun little fact, the kind of thing anyone might say in casual conversation.
(Except no one says things like that in casual conversation.)
Your parents don’t react. Your brother doesn’t even blink. They just keep eating like this is normal, like this is fine.
You, meanwhile, are staring at your plate, trying not to choke on air.
And just as you’re about to die from sheer mortification, he adds—
“For instance, brass players develop impressive endurance. Hours of embouchure control, you know?”
Embouchure control.
You think you might be having an out-of-body experience.
Because he’s not even looking at you. He’s just sitting there—calm, innocent, like he’s just making an offhand comment about music, like he’s not actively ruining your life.
It’s fine. It’s nothing. It’s science.
(Except it’s not.)
You need to leave.
You shove your chair back, your hands shaking. “I’m—gonna grab some water.”
Hoseok watches you go. You feel it.
At the sink, you grip the counter, staring hard at the faucet as you fill your glass.
It’s fine.
It’s nothing.
You’re imagining things.
It’s Hoseok being Hoseok—friendly, completely unaware of the way his words get tangled in your head, twisted into shapes they were never meant to take.
You gulp down half the glass, hoping it might cool the heat rising under your skin.
Behind you, the conversation moves on. Your dad is talking about a trip, your mom is mentioning something about the neighbors.
Everything is fine.
But when you turn back, Hoseok is still watching you.
Not in a way anyone else would notice—not in a way your brother does, too focused on his food, or in a way your parents would think twice about—but in a way that you notice.
In a way that makes something low in your stomach twist, tight and uncertain.
And then, like he knows, like he can read the exact trajectory of your thoughts, Hoseok smiles.
Soft. Innocent.
Like he didn't do anything at all.

my rules as an actress/model, coming from a 21 y.o veteran ‘rexic
1. take up a sport to fill your cv and reconnect with your body
-mine is archery and beginner ballet for now, I’ll move up to boxing and fencing before the production for an action movie begins
-somatic connection is really important for acting so move yo ass :)
2. if you eat anything, you have to exercise
-warm up with hiit pilates + stretch + barre exercises + yoga to cool down
-if your muscles are recovering, just walk for 2 miles or do a water fast
3. if you’re fasting for more than 36 hours, don’t go out as to not risk fainting in public
4. before a photoshoot, don’t consume any sodium and do a vitamin c flush, then fill your body with potassium
- for a potassium load, coconut water is the way to go but unfortunately it tastes like ass so add some lemon juice and ginger to it
5. always focus on your measurements and not your weight. the camera is not going to weigh you.
-measure yourself everyday. it’s fun to see the number drop
6. trying to lose weight? never eat more than 500 cals.
-if you do eat 500 cals, make sure it’s fully protein
-try to keep it around 200-300 cals
7. calculate the money you saved you would’ve otherwise wasted on food, then buy cute clothes/skincare with it
-buy vogue and cigs instead of dinner
8. for alcohol: ONLY red wine, two glasses max
-red wine has antioxidants, and any other alcohol will bloat you.
-plus, don’t be a sloppy drunk. you’re a public figure, act like it.
9. never eat processed foods. it’s literally poison
10. never eat outside or order food unless your date is paying for it
-on a date, always order the lightest food and don’t finish it. if they ask why, just say you ate before you came.
11. and finally, ALWAYS LOVE YOURSELF! you’re beautiful no matter what. but there’s always room for improvement.

Hello!! I loved your writing for Daring rescue! It was a funny but still showed the vulnerable sides of the batboys!!!
I was wanting to request some fluff with Tim? Up to you! I just feel like he needs more fics!
I agree, Tim definitely needs more love! I hope you like it 💛
Weekend Off
Pairings: Tim Drake x gn!reader Synopsis: Weekend plans are often interrupted when you are dating a hero. Word Count: 985 Warnings: Fluff, and somewhat suggestive dialogue/flirting. Maybe subtly angsty at the end.
Tumblr media
Tim tried not to bring vigilantism into your home. He knew you didn’t mind–in fact, you had teased him about how good he looked in his suit several times… but often he fought to keep you and that side of his life separated.
Tonight was not that night.
A last-minute call from Stephanie had changed his plans. He had planned to take the weekend off with you since you had just finished midterm exams and were feeling a lull in your college workload; but, if Steph was calling him for backup despite knowing his weekend plans, it was too important to ignore.
So, Tim hurriedly gathered what he needed. He was underprepared–too few supplies in his toolkit, given he didn’t want to bring extras into your apartment. He regretted that now and thoroughly wished he could hide a stockpile in the back of your closet. You would let him if he asked.
“I’ve got a cup steeping,” you called from the kitchen, your voice carrying through the adar door to the small bedroom Tim changed in. “You want some before you head out?”
“Coffee?” he asked with a crooked grin. He could picture the way your nose no doubt wrinkled in disgust.
“Tea,” you responded with an exaggerated sigh and a hidden smile. “Y’know, the one that’s actually good for you.”
“Coffee can be good for you,” he debated with a smile. Tim sat on the edge of the bed, his back to the door, and worked on pulling his boots on. They slid on easily over his socks–a comfortable pair you had gotten for him for his birthday after complaining about his feet aching after patrols. The comfort the socks brought him made it easy to ignore the pink flamingo pattern. “It helps boost metabolism and antioxidants-”
“And causes anxiety and sleep disruption,” you argued, your voice suddenly much closer than the kitchen. Tim turned to look over his shoulder at your figure standing in the doorway, sipping from the warm mug in your hands. “You and I both know you need more sleep.”
“I sleep best when I’m with you,” he replied. Tim stood with a tired sigh and adjusted his feet in the boots.
“Have I mentioned how much I like the suit?”
Tim laughed, turning to face you and your teasing grin. Your eyes roved over the suit, taking another sip as you ogled. “A few times, yeah.”
You hummed in reply then lowered the mug from your lips. “I prefer you without the cowl. The domino mask shows how handsome you are.”
“Being handsome doesn’t exactly help me stop crime.”
“It does if your good looks distracts them enough,” you quipped. Tim scoffed playfully and turned his back to you. He pulled his belt from the suitcase he had brought with him and fastened it around his waist.
“What, like how you get distracted?”
Tim fiddled with the buckle of his belt, waiting for your clever response. His brows rose when you held off as he adjusted the straps across his chest and centered the emblem. When he finally turned to face you again you were staring at him from beneath your lashes, a coy smile on your lips.
“Sorry, did you say something? I was too busy admiring how you look in that tight spandex-”
“Alright, enough out of you,” he chastised with a shake of his head. You barked out a laugh at his response, admiring the blush that rose on his cheeks. You set your mug of tea atop the dresser beside the bed and made your way over to him.
Your hands slipped beneath the tactical straps that crossed his chest. His hands landed on your waist, bunching the soft fabric of your pajamas beneath his gloved hands. “You look nice,” he uttered quietly.
You scoffed. “It’s the same pajamas I wear every time you come over.”
“And you look nice every time,” he answered, pressing a kiss to your temple. You huffed in response and your hands moved up, one cupping his cheek and the other tangling in his hair. You tipped his head, chasing his lips with your own.
“Wish you could stay,” you muttered against his lips between slow kisses. He hummed in response and cupped your jaw with one gloved hand. “Don’t suppose I could convince you to?”
Tim pulled away and fixed you with a stern look. You sighed and dropped your forehead to his chest with a dull thump.
“I’m going to watch your favorite show without you while you’re gone.”
Tim gasped softly in offense, although the way his hands moved across your back and pulled you flushed against him told a different story. “Criminal. You know I could throw you in Blackgate for something like that?” His hands cupped your cheeks and lifted your head, forcing you to meet his gaze.
“Good luck,” you huffed out a laugh. “I’m a highly skilled individual. My boyfriend taught me self-defense–I’m not going down without a fight.”
“Wouldn’t want it any other way,” he responded, pressing a quick kiss to your lips. You sighed in defeat when he took a step away, his hands moving deftly to his cowl and pulling it over his head. “Gotta go. Spoiler wants backup before she proceeds with her case.”
You smile warmly, hiding the disappointment as best you can. “She’s lucky to have you watching her back.”
Tim hesitated for a moment as he backed towards your bedroom window, staff in hand. “I’ll be back as soon as I can.”
“I know. Stay safe,” you answered with a reassuring smile. He returned the expression as he slid the window open and planted one foot on the ledge outside. He nodded curtly in response.
Tim didn’t linger. The faster he could get this done, the faster he could return to the warmth of your apartment and enjoy his weekend off.

Since I'm vegan, incorporating elements of a canine ancestral diet into my lifestyle will be more about emulating the nutritional balance rather than the exact foods wolves consume. Wolves eat a mix of proteins, fats, and plant matter, with an emphasis on whole, nutrient-dense sources. Their diet is built for survival, strength, and endurance—qualities I can mirror through plant-based foods while maintaining my values.
### **Key Elements of a Wolf's Diet & Vegan Alternatives**
#### **1. High-Protein Intake**
Wolves thrive on a protein-rich diet, which fuels their muscles and sustains their energy for long periods. You can incorporate:
- **Legumes & Pulses** – Lentils, chickpeas, black beans, and split peas
- **Soy-based Proteins** – Tofu, tempeh, and edamame
- **Seitan (Vital Wheat Gluten)** – A high-protein, meat-like option
- **Hemp & Chia Seeds** – Packed with complete proteins
- **Nutritional Yeast** – Adds protein and a cheesy flavor to dishes
#### **2. Balanced Fats for Energy & Brain Function**
Wolves get essential fatty acids from prey, but you can substitute with plant-based sources:
- **Omega-3s** – Flaxseeds, walnuts, algae-based supplements, hemp seeds
- **Healthy Fats** – Avocados, olives, coconut, and nuts
- **Medium-Chain Triglycerides (MCTs)** – Found in coconut oil, which can boost energy like animal fats do for wolves
#### **3. Micronutrients & Minerals from Wild Plants**
Wolves eat berries, grasses, and herbs instinctively to maintain their health. You can add these:
- **Berries** – Blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries for antioxidants
- **Leafy Greens** – Kale, spinach, dandelion greens (high in calcium and iron)
- **Herbs & Wild Edibles** – Nettles, burdock root, and spirulina for detoxifying and nutrient density
#### **4. Gut Health & Digestion**
Wolves consume organ meats and bones for vitamins and minerals. A vegan version includes:
- **Fermented Foods** – Sauerkraut, kimchi, miso, and kombucha for gut health
- **Seaweed** – Rich in iodine and minerals, similar to nutrients found in animal organs
- **Mushrooms** – Reishi, lion’s mane, and chaga mimic the adaptogenic benefits of organ meats
#### **5. Cyclical Eating & Fasting**
Wolves don’t eat constantly; they gorge, fast, and graze on small plant foods. You might try:
- **Intermittent Fasting** – Eating within a set window (e.g., 8-hour feeding period)
- **Feast & Fast Cycle** – Some days with high intake, some days lighter with just fruits and greens
- **Instinctual Eating** – Listening to your body’s needs rather than forcing strict meal times
#### **6. Hydration & Natural Electrolytes**
Wolves get hydration from prey and fresh water sources. For you:
- **Coconut Water** – A natural electrolyte boost
- **Herbal Teas** – Dandelion, mint, and chamomile for hydration and benefits
- **Infused Waters** – Lemon, cucumber, or berries to mimic mineral-rich natural waters
### **Meal Ideas Inspired by a Canine Ancestral Diet**
- **"Hunt & Gather" Bowl** – Lentils, roasted mushrooms, wild rice, dandelion greens, and tahini
- **High-Protein Wild Plate** – Grilled tempeh, hemp seed pesto, roasted root veggies
- **Feral Smoothie** – Blueberries, coconut milk, hemp protein, chia, and spirulina
- **Forager’s Broth** – Miso soup with seaweed, tofu, and mushrooms
- **Raw Energy Bites** – Dates, walnuts, cacao, flax, and a touch of sea salt
I'm a nerd and a vegan wolf so have my collected information and brainstorming

it helps me and it might help someone so here is a little snack mix i usually eat to avoid brain fog while studying. i might get something wrong however it really does help me so i think it might be worthy to share since the exam season is coming for many people!
the biggest part of my snack mix are fruits (source of complex carbs, since carbs are essential for brain to function)
there are probably better sources of complex carbs but fruits are one of the easiest snacks to grab and go. i usually pick blueberries (antioxidants), or apples (antioxidants). i also just like those two :] you can pick some other fruit (or starchy vegetable maybe?)
nuts! i know many of us can be afraid of them since they are so high in cals, however they are source of healthy fats (important for brain health!). i usually pick cashews, but im gonna try walnuts! they really do make a difference in my opinion.
i also usually pick dates, dried cranberries or dark chocolate! from google search in case of all of those they say they "might" improve brain health so thats it. i have quite a sweet tooth so thats a reason for those. i know those might not be for everyone but im just sharing what has been working for me (im in humanities not science lol)

Gold has been used for skincare dating back to ancient civilizations not only for its beauty and luxury, but also for its healing & energetic benefits.
Cleopatra used gold masks to maintain her appearance.
The Romans used gold to heal wounds and infections.
Gold stimulates collagen production & helps reduce lines and wrinkles. It can improve your skin elasticity, works as an inflammatory, skin brightener, antioxidant protector and detoxifier.
It also carries a high vibrational energy and amplifies energy, vitality & confidence.

i love that new bubble tea fic how did u know i was craving some - what do you think leon's and rebecca's bubble tea order would be?
-🍫
⦑ 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐛𝐚 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 ⦒ [ part one ]
read part two here (ethan winters, jill valentine, jack krauser, claire redfield) read the 'boba tea date' fic here (leon kennedy x gn! reader) characters: leon kennedy, rebecca chambers, chris redfield, ashley graham, carlos oliveira & ada wong a/n: funny you asked, because i had a convo ab this with my friend hahha! also added some other characters too ;) what other characters should i do? content: SFW
Tumblr media
LEON KENNEDY
Ever since that date, he sneaks off when you're not around to try all the flavours.
He would be a sweet tooth (despite how passionately he will deny this), and orders the limited edition seasaonal tea with extra foam on top! Always 100% ice and sugar.
He's a closet sweet-tooth (especially RE2 Leon, he looks like he pretends to like coffee, inspired by this)
When you find an empty cup in the bin, he will act nonchalant and say "Oh I happen to pass by for work".
But you already know he's lying when you found a membership card in the frontest pocket of his wallet - probably eligible for a few free drinks at this point.
Tumblr media
REBECCA CHAMBERS
Caramel milk tea with pudding. Extra sugar and standard ice.
She likes sugar, and she's not afraid to admit it!
Always get the large size since she works long hours in the lab, so she sips away her drink throughout her shift.
Probably hyped up the shop to all her colleagues already, hoping to find a companion to join her.
Very close with the shop manager since she goes there daily - will chat and banter with them
Tumblr media
CHRIS REDFIELD
He would just get plain black tea, no sugar and less ice.
To keep up with his physique and body fat percentage low, he doesn't usually drink unless you drag him there.
Raves on about the antioxidants in black tea and how it's good for you (such a health nerd)
Starts complaining 'it's too sweet' everytime he sips on any of your drinks - apparently even a hint of sugar is too much for this old man sometimes.
Tumblr media
ASHLEY GRAHAM
Matcha with fresh milk, extra sugar, cream on top, and mini pearls!
I think she will start drinking mango fruit tea/fruity with popping pearls but eventually branches out to matcha.
She probably thought of doing a bottomless bubble tea stand for her dream wedding ceremony.
I think she would get along with Rebecca with their mutual love for bubble tea! I think they'll be such good friends if not their age differences!
Tumblr media
CARLOS OLIVEIRA
Normally, Carlos orders a very normal coconut green tea with no modifications.
Until one day he decides to be really cheeky and order it with every topping the shop has to offer
Rainbow jelly, pearls, pudding, grass jelly, etc. (yes, even red beans)
So many toppings that only half of the cup is liquid and the other half is a concoction of chaos
Bobarista is terrified, but Carlos is grinning widely
Still inhales the whole drink in less than an hour anyway
Tumblr media
ADA WONG
She will go for a warm brewed tea (thinking between oolong or earl grey), no toppings or sugar.
Don't think she enjoys iced drinks in general, rather have warm/hot drinks or just plain water.
Something in the bubble tea gives her acne breakouts so she avoids it. Plus her job is so busy that it doesn't allow her such luxuries.
Might indulge in extra sugar if she wants a treat, but suffers the consequences later.
