i’m putting a hit out on the institution of google as a whole. apparently [handwavey algorithm stuff] can just stop the functioning of an entire business and there is obviously no way to appeal the situation. thinking dark thoughts while consuming a steady dosage of cake

Today I had an eye appointment and when the optometrist asked me (wearing glasses at that moment) “are you wearing contacts?” and I answered “no, I left them at home, I just have my glasses”, she gave such a clear dead-inside stare and seemingly-intended-for-a-secret-camera-on-her-side sigh before rephrasing slowly, “No. I mean do you wear contacts on a daily basis”, it felt like either I or she or both of us had committed such an unforgivable communication failure that I was pretty sure the whole interaction was unsalvageable

When God Gives You Up | Tom Ascol [Ro 1:24-32] LGBTQ+ꓺACDEFHIJKMNOPRSUVWXYZ
𝗚𝗢𝗗 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗠𝗬 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗠𝗬 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀
You are not beyond GOD's grace, even when GOD gives them over to this way of thinking & living. Listen to what the Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.
These are some of the most hopeful verses in the Bible, when we are thinking of GOD giving people & societies up to judgment, granting them their desires to desire their own sexual suicide.
Listen to what he says in v.9-11
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 | Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the Kingdom of GOD? Do not be deceived:
Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of GOD.
¹¹ And that is what some of you were. But you're washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the Name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST & by the SPIRIT of our GOD.
Sounds like being given over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh so his spirit may be saved [1 Corinthians 5:5] & similar to communion some of you have fallen asleep [1 Corinthians 11:30]
1 Corinthians 5:5 | ⁵ hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the Day of the LORD.
1 Corinthians 11:30 | ³⁰ That is why many among you are weak & sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.
We need to pray against the greed of man

This is akin to the attack on humanitarian aid workers who are awaiting prosecution in Italy for aid to illegal migrants drowning in 2017.
Effectively chilling effect as no one wants to face prospect of spending 10-20 years in jail.
Lawyer said Europe is trying to overturn 70 years worth of laws that protect human life to legalize ability to jail even doctors?!

Ezekiel 16:49-50 | Judgment on Jerusalem ⁴⁹ Now this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She & her daughters were arrogant, overfed, and complacent; they did not help the poor & needy.

⁵⁰ Thus they were haughty & committed abominations before ME. Therefore I 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻.
Excerpt from Article in the Guardian
MSF said: “As a medical-humanitarian organisation, engaged for 50 years in over 80 countries, including Italy, our hope is the sad story of the criminalization of those who help will end in a timely manner.”
It estimates its six humanitarian ships helped save more than 81,000 lives at sea.

something i’ve been thinking about lately is like. growing up muslim right after 9/11 is something i’d never really reflected on much because it was all i’d ever known — at 5, my friend’s mum didn’t let her invite me to her birthday party because i was the only brown girl in our class, at 12, my classmates would joke about my family being part of isis, at 16, my dad was interrogated by american airport security for hours — and it always stung and it always hurt but it was just the way things were because the western world hated muslims. but i don’t think i’ve ever fully comprehended the extent to which we were hated until now.
palestine is being turned into a mass graveyard. every single day there are new photos of the atrocities being carried out against them and videos of them pleading for help and still those who can actually intervene turn a blind eye. israel is claiming to only be targeting hamas “terrorists” while bombing a refugee camp. israeli police raided and assaulted a non-zionist jewish neighbourhood. israeli soldiers are posting tiktoks of them torturing captured palestinians. this is not a complicated issue and it never has been. ethnic cleansing is being committed right in front of us. and yet the western world leaders refuse to call for a ceasefire.
and while zionist organisations accuse pro-palestine demonstrations of anti-semitism, while zionist celebrities insist that they’re afraid to leave their mansions in los angeles, a six year old muslim boy was stabbed to death and his mother wounded in the same attack in chicago. a muslim doctor was murdered while sitting outside her apartment complex in texas. hundreds of peaceful protesters have been arrested (many of whom have been jewish). despite what zionists want you to believe, this is not a jewish/muslim conflict. i have so much love and gratitude to my brave jewish brothers and sisters all over the world who are condemning israel for their actions.
ultimately, israel have been granted impunity by the west. they have slaughtered thousands upon thousands of innocent palestinians. they have bombed hospitals and schools indiscriminately. they have used white phosphorus, violating the geneva convention. they have completely eradicated nearly 900 bloodlines. how many more need to be wiped out? how many more children need to be buried underneath the rubble? how many more doctors need to be confronted with the bodies of their own family members? how many more journalists need to detail the horrific acts of violence they are witnessing? what more can be done to the palestinian people that has not been done already?
i truly believe that palestine will be free one day. i believe the palestinian people will receive the justice they finally deserve. but what breaks my heart is how much they have suffered and will continue to suffer before they are deemed worthy of help. and it would be to all of our detriment if we ignored how much of a factor palestine being a predominantly muslim state has played into the way the world has reacted to their genocide.

"the first casualty, when war comes, is truth"
i wish i wasn't writing this.
i wish i didn't have to caveat this whole statement with "by the way, i strongly condemn the killing of innocent civilians in any circumstance whatsoever" because i am a muslim and obviously every muslim voice represents all 1.8 billion of us, right? but your faves can go on instagram and loudly proclaim there is no two sides to this - i stand with the apartheid state bombing and starving children! with no consequences whatsoever. right.
i wish i didn't have to filter every bit of information i saw because of rampant lies and misinformation boosted across social media, especially when it shrouds the actual atrocities happening. it's still unconfirmed whether 40 babies were murdered by hamas militants - if true, it is an awful, awful act done by the lowest of the low. but as we speak, 447 children have been confirmed to be killed - murdered - in gaza just in the last few days.
i wish i didn't see videos of those murders. i wish i could wipe away the horrific wailing of a father as he clawed his daughter's lifeless body out of rubble, falling to his knees as he cried for her to wake. i wish i didn't see mothers clutching small, bloodied bundles in their hands, screaming and screaming and screaming. i wish i could forget that i have been seeing iterations of these videos coming out of palestine from 2021, 2014, 2009, 2006 - oh, basically anytime israel decided to launch an offensive on gaza.
i wish children didn't make up 47% of gaza's 2 million population, of which 4 out of 5 were living with PTSD and depression as per a report from last year (aka before this latest shitstorm started), because living in an open air prison under constant threat of bombing really helps make those childhood memories extra special. i wish these children were considered as human as those across the border, their lives as important and meaningful.
i wish that literal war crimes were not taking place in gaza right now. this includes the war crimes by hamas of taking innocent hostages - hamas, may i remind the reader, is a palestinian terrorist organisation but not all palestinians are hamas - and also the war crimes of the israeli government by literally ordering a siege of gaza with "no electricity, no food, and no fuel." this is to ensure that the children who aren't already dead are well on their way, i guess.
i wish we weren't watching an ethnic cleansing literally taking place in front of our eyes.
i wish i didn't feel so helpless. i wish i could console my friends who are on the daily losing multitudes of relatives, and who now have no way of finding out who else they've lost until the electricity comes back on. i wish my words didn't feel so hollow.
i wish i could wave a palestinian flag in solidarity but i may get arrested for it here, in the uk, so better not.
i wish. i wish. i wish.

HOW TO GLOW UP IN SUMMER !
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Glowing up in the summer can be a fun and exciting journey to enhance your beauty, confidence, and overall well-being.
By: ★﹕stᥲrgιrᥣ﹒
strategies for girls to glow up during the summer:
1.Skin care routine: Start by establishing a consistent skincare routine that works for your skin type. Focus on cleansing, exfoliating, moisturizing, and using sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays. Consider adding serums, face masks, and eye creams to target specific skin concerns.
2.Stay hydrated: Hydration is key to achieving a healthy glow. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your skin hydrated and radiant. You can also incorporate hydrating foods like fruits, vegetables, and herbal teas into your diet to nourish your skin from the inside out.
3.Healthy diet: Fuel your body with nutritious foods that support your skin health and overall well-being. Incorporate fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains into your meals to provide your body with essential nutrients and antioxidants.
4.Exercise regularly: Stay active during the summer by engaging in physical activities that you enjoy. Whether it's going for a run, practicing yoga, dancing, or swimming, regular exercise can improve your mood, boost your energy levels, and enhance your overall glow.5.
5.Sun protection: Protect your skin from sun damage by wearing sunscreen with a high SPF, seeking shade during peak hours, and wearing protective clothing like hats and sunglasses. Sun protection is essential for maintaining healthy and youthful-looking skin.
6.Hair care: Take care of your hair by using hydrating shampoos and conditioners, minimizing heat styling, and getting regular trims to prevent split ends. Consider trying out hair masks to keep your hair looking healthy and vibrant.
7.Self-care: Prioritize self-care activities that help you relax, unwind, and de-stress. Whether it's practicing meditation, taking long baths, getting a massage, or pampering yourself with skincare products, self-care can enhance your inner glow and confidence.
8.Dress for confidence: Wear clothes that make you feel confident, comfortable, and stylish. Experiment with different styles, colors, and accessories to express your personality and enhance your self-confidence.u don't need to buy from expansive brand
9.Positive mindset: Cultivate a positive mindset by practicing gratitude, affirmations, and self-love. Embrace your uniqueness, celebrate your strengths, and focus on the things that make you happy and fulfilled.
