Regarding the tough one usually getting hurt: well than it’s great that in canon that BOTH gals get hurt a lot. Cait even loses a whole eye! Equality yoo! (I love them both lots I swear)

The thing is we never see the comfort side of when cait is hurt… on the other hand, we see cait caring about vi when she is hurt… so I have a NEED to see vi caring for cait that way.

Also this might just be my personal hc but I believe cait doesn’t let people take care of her, so it’s only in instances of her being hurt or sick when she would let it happen.

With the firefighter AU there should be one of those photos where either Caitlyn or Vi comes out of a burning building with a cat. That either looks at them like they're their savior, or like that one cat that looks like he got caught starting the fire and he only regrets getting caught.

Whenever there's a pairing that has a big tough person and a more elegant or refined person (Caitvi, Shadowzel, Korrasami, etcetc), it feels like the default is to hurt the big tough one in fics/art. I do not like that, I much prefer the inverse. I guess that makes me weird lol

Your firefighter au has gotten the plot bunnies bumbling around my head. I haven't written for the arcane fandom but firefighter caitvi might just be the thing that makes me write a fic for them!

The idea of them being in a fire together and the floor or roof collapsing under Vi and Cait seeing it and calling mayday and just hearing Vi's pass device but being unable to see/ reach her. The whump and angst potential!

so i was wondering, since you said that soulmate caitvi’s first time together was not either of their first times, what were each of their first times like? i assume that the other would know what was happening when one would have sex bc of the soulmate thing and i want to know what kind of reaction that would create. anger? sadness? jealousy? would it make them… horny???? idk i’m just really curious how this went down.

Uhmmm it wasn’t really special for them, cait was just looking for some release and some type of companionship. And vi first time was a realization that she could just not do it, she couldn’t keep a relationship with someone she couldn’t love fully.
