#i keep going back nad just typing on this when im watching lectures LMAO i don't even necessarily agree with myself anymore on all of it #it is 2024 and i have been thinking about hardenshipping all month. it is 2014 and i h #i can't even hide behind nostalgia though i played alpha sapphire early 2022 LOL this is just who i am #honestly though i consider my parents not getting me a copy of oras when i was a kid to be some kind of real tragedy can you imagine if i'd #had a 7 year head start. i mean i didn't have a 3ds until 2016 but at the time i would have literally sold my kidney to play oras #i love hoenn a lot though just bc as a kid most of the pokemon anime i would watch was dvds from the library cause i didn't have cable #so it was just the gen 1-4 seasons and i looooooved the gen 3 ones and the gen 3 movies soo much destiny deoxys was on repeat me and my #brother watched it like once a week i still love that movie. so i do have a lot of hoenn nostalgia. I LOVE HOENN. in all its square majesty #anyways oras are just such good games man so fucking good like they have actual spirit like it is not very often that i feel genuine wonder #anymore playing pokemon games but every time u use the eon flute to fly around and fully exploring sea mauville the first time earlier this #playthrough ohhh it does give me that feeling of like holy shit im playing pokemon pokemon is so cool i love pokemon #ahhh video james. long ass tags

About to rearrange and sort my bookshelves! What are your favorite ways to sort your bookshelves?

#combination of genre and size..#ngl the peer reviewed tags are like a brother to me #we are the same #also different bookcases have different forms of media #manga are in 2 bookcases in the hall #board games bottom 2 shelves of the largest hall bookcase #the rest are plushies Ive made #plus some stuff I didnt make on the top shelf- which is the homestuck shelf #mini bookcase in the living room has ttrpg zines and books #tallest bookcase is mostly novels #bottom 2 shelves are movies #sorted by a combination of bluray vs dvd - western animation vs anime vs live action - kids targeted vs not #and then the top to bottom stack order is infulenced by how much I like them but also theme and visual vibes #actually that was the 2nd tallest one #the tallest one has video games and comics plus graphic novels [distinct from manga] and artbooks #the games are primarily sorted by console and take up 4 shelves #the top most shelf is ds and 3ds games #the bottom 3 shelves have the rest which are [again] primarily sorted by console but with respect to eachother-#the groups are sorted by size with some consideration for ease of access #the exception is SMT and Persona related items [within these shelves- the ds and 3ds games are still up top]#non handheld persona and SMT games are together on a shelf along with their artbooks and a fanmade cookbook #comics shelves are sorted primarily based on format #and then size within that #with consideration given to graphic novels I've picked up from kickstarters or TaZ which get grouped together #also- looking at my shelves #I do also fall into the tallest at the left and widest at the right by default #height is the key factor and if something is off too much in either dimension from its adjacent peers #thats when it gets put on the right #i also try to visually vary organization from shelf to shelf #with respect to stacks or not stacks and where they're placed

We need to stop discussing animated films until we all figure it out somehow. Just saw someone say with their chest that Hoodwinked needs an "HD remake". Behave yourself.

#ab.txt #GOOOODDD I hate reboot-remake culture get me off of this train #genuinely what would shiny unreal engine ass visuals add to the film. nothing #everyone complains about how bad it looks but the animation does literally everything it needs to and is distinctive #this isn't just me fighting to the death for a film I was glued to as a kid though #because I'll also explode if people demand one more classic animated film gets rendered to 3d or made into a grey filtered live action #BORING!!!!!!!! it's so BORING #same with video games #sometimes a remake is okay. sometimes.#but I am so sick of anything that slightly shows its age suddenly needing a new version substituting raytracing for PASSION #I'm sure plenty of authors wish they wrote their first book differently. I'm sure many directors have gripes with their first film #but there's something beautiful about it existing as the project of passion it originally transpired from #and often the complaint people have it moreso with it not being shiny beautiful and marketable enough #not standard polished and generic enough
